We arrived about 6pm from an international flight when being picked up by the motel shuttle the female driver just stopped at the meeting point and we had to approach to see where we put out luggage. We are in our 70’s and she offered no assistance with our heavy baggage. If you want a good nights sleep not the place to stay - extractor fan made intermittent hi pitched sounds, reported and ‘we will take a look at that’ response- however another traveller reported the same thing 2 weeks ago on trip advisor. Nice pool and I must say the free shuttle bus driver was excellent. Reception staff look unhappy but were ok.

The Fact had Two beds, Clean Facilities like Washing Machine and Dryer and a big Washer and Dryer $4 ea enough to dry clothes.Bit of Noise from Neighbours like Doors minor main Draw card was Value for money and Possibility of Early Check in and Late Check out.Some thing not Offered by More Expensive Rooms, Reception open till 10pm. The rooms were very smelly, smelt smoky like a nightclub. There was nothing appealing about this stay. The rooms had noise from the air conditioning and when the hot water was turned on. There is a free shuttle service, on the pick up from the airport it took 50 min to come, on the way back it was about 25 min. Spend the extra and stay somewhere else.

The room was clean and tidy, but the staff omitted to tell us that the shuttle service didn't run on public holidays when we inquired about the times for the next day, which was a public holiday. We also had to wait over an hour for our meal to be delivered then one meal was missed so another half hour wait for that, with no apology from the staff at the time. Management the next day did give us our meal for half price and an apology but this was too late for tired travellers.

We really enjoyed our stay at Flag Motor Lodge. It was just for one night as we were in the area for an event. The rooms were clean and fresh, the staff were super friendly and we had a a scrumptious breakfast before we checked out. Great stuff!
