Customer service was terrible, after finding what looked to be mould and food scraps ( potato chips) in the fold out couch. Went to reception to talk bring it up. Was told i didnt pay to sleep on the couch so its fine to be like that.... i paid for a 2 adult room , i was alone . I paid for \"2 adults\" and that size room because i wanted the space... the space i paid for... instead was very poorly treated . Very very disappointing service overall.. also wifi didnt work. HORRIBLe experience will not recommend to anyone

I stayed here nearly 50 years ago as a young man when it was the Westos , and I gotta say, it's way better now than it was.All good. free parking. Rooms very nice. Noise carries though, sobring some earplugs in case... Lotta familes using this... although I did stay on a friday night, so loads country folk would be using with families... walls are thin, so....

Hotel felt neglected, rooms poorly designed and furnished, bathroom without a working fan or opening window, light blazing into the room in the morning with poor blinds, staff at reception were lovely, but poor in my other interactions. Asked questions about service and pricing was pushed to a QR code instead of a human interaction. Restaurant service terribly lacking. Location is terrible. I drove by initially because I couldn’t believe this was the hotel. Just wasn’t a nice experience at all.

Traffic noise commi g throughout the air-conditioning that made a lot of noice when the compressor cut in and out. The shower took a long time to run hot wasting a lot of water, the when up to temperature would suddenly turn frezing cold. There was no containment of the shower water which allowed the bathroom floor to become wet and slippery. Not safe especiallly for the elderly. Definnatly wont be booking again at $220pn again

After booking this accomo for the first time for a quick layover in Perth after coming from a late Adelaide flight and due to fly out for work the next morning, leaving the hotel at 4am - kept awake all night by the fire alarm going off and security over the speakers. Probably got 3 hours sleep at most. Won’t be back.

On the second morning, we were shocked to find a giant cockroach in the shower. That was the final straw. Rather than see out the remainder of our stay, we chose to pay for an earlier flight home.
To be fair, the staff at reception were lovely—helpful and kind throughout. It’s possible we were just given an especially bad room, but the condition was enough to put us off returning. Unless absolutely desperate, I wouldn’t stay here again.

We were pleasantly surprised how nice our room was as it was very reasonably priced.very comfy bed and nice bathroom facilities, even had a little balcony with city views in the distance which was unexpected. We only have one criticism in that the TV was not a smart tv so we couldn’t watch Netflix etc on it which was disappointing. Otherwise very good. A little noisy at times as the seemed to be a lot of school children in groups staying there.

The hotel charges $50 for a late check out for 1 hour but while waiting in the foyer but at 10:15 people are still checking out so when do people start to get charged. Just on this alone I wouldn’t stay here again.

Rooms were of decent size, but very old and worn. Spider webs between top of tv and the ceiling, small little bugs found under the blanket. When I requested for a sheet change after the 2nd night, was told for stays shorter than 3 nights, they would have to charge additional $50 for a sheet change. Rooms were noisy, could hear footsteps from above, the cooridor, and knocking sounds. Quite a disappointment.

Alcohol spills down balcony hand rail. Never ever will stay again or dare to recommend. Whoever this hotel owner is...DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU!! Such a missed opportunity for decent hotel chain to thrive.

While close to the highway, our room faced the city and was quiet. Had a balcony which was nice to get fresh air and have a view of the city at night. The only fault i can think of was the tap water temperature was variable and sometimes no cold water came out of the tap.

The reservation I set up was a pkg with the airlines. After the reservation was set up I wanted to stay closer to friends on the north side of Perth rather than the south side (safer area according to friends) and the friends had free accommodations for me and my sister which would have saved several hundreds of dollars on our travel budget. Expedia contacted the hotel on more than one occasion approx 1 week prior to the trip but Metro Hotel would not offer any type of refund. The 1st night we checked in we did not have the 2 king beds that I had requested well in advance of the trip. The bath tub had flaking and staining around the drain. We stayed the following 6 nights in our friend’s accommodation near Hillary’s and returned to Metro hotel for 2 nights. At that point Metro hotel did allow us a room with 2 king beds although when we arrived the room smelled of sewer until the air conditioning was able to clear out the odor. If it weren’t for these reasons I would not have put a negative review because the staff was very helpful with public transportation needs. We were told the chef was fairly new to the establishment and the food was very good with fast service but they didn’t have one of my favorite breakfast items on the menu any longer although it was advertised on the web page menu. The hotel was on the public transport system which was useful to us in our rather short stay of 3 days/nights of 13 of the original reservation.
