Definitely a 2 star hotel. I was reminded of my grad school days. Not a problem in and of itself. My only complaint was the smell of mildew in the room. It appeared clean and in okay shape though. I tried airing it by leaving the balcony door open, but it wasn’t effective. Since I was very busy and only staying two nights, I just put up with it. After 20 min, I didn’t notice it anymore, just whenever I walked in.

Our annual September weekend and we'll be back next year for the 17th weekend. Clean room and bathroom, comfortable beds, and every night we walked next door to the Venice Restaurant. We love sitting on the small balcony off our room with our Dunkin' breakfast and watch the sun rise over the golf course.

This was our first day so we didn’t know what to expect… Everyone seems very nice. I wish they would’ve given us a few more details about the property. Where to have breakfast, how to get to the private beach, etc.. All the things they advertised. We kinda had to figure out for ourselves, but overall we will most likely book again. We really enjoyed sitting on our back balcony and watching golfers on the 13th green.

Access to beaches. The pass was well worth it for parking at the beach if you’re staying. More than 3 days. Most parking was taken , so that was very helpful. Restaurants were very busy. That’s to be expected. Venus I highly recommend, great food & staff.

Convenient location near beach and Watch Hill. We appreciated the beach pass. Our room was clean with comfy beds but bare boned & musty. the slider to the balcony was off track and leaning against the wall. The cleaning person tried to fix it but it soon fell off again. A coffee maker in the rooms would be a nice addition as that is standard in all other hotels.
The ladies that work here were pleasant.
The hotel didn’t have some of the most basic tv channels , we weren’t able to watch our show- had to download the app and watch on our phone which was a pain.

Anna was a gem and was wonderful to talk with during continental breakfast. The woman at the desk was pleasant & helpful. It was nice having the pool and hot tub, felt it was pricier than it should have been without upgrades .

The property provided complimentary continental breakfast. I learned of it from another guest..person who checked us in did not advise us.
Furthermore, same person gave us a beach pass but did not warn us that the beach parking for this pass opens at 10AM. We had to wait over an hour for the opening as we got there earlier.
Upon checkout, I advised the clerk that the above was not given to me as part of the check in process, he could not care. Never gave me a response and basically ignored me.

Arranged beautifully. Soooo very clean everywhere!!! Balcony was a great. Saw sunrise and view of the beauty of the golf course. In the afternoon, the balcony was lovely and cool. Quality furniture in and out of the room.
The room was spacious with a fridge, functional freezer and small sink and counter. Quality display on the TV.Remote user friendly. Felt like home!! The grounds were beautiful and comfortable. The pool area was wonderful! And there was a game on the property which looked very interesting.

The room was very clean. Minutes away from the beach which was one reason why I stayed there. Good food from the restaurant next door (Venice). Continental breakfast in the morning; good coffee excellent English muffins and blue berry muffins. We've been going to Misquamicut beach for a while now. We used to stay in Connecticut, if we go back next year. We are staying at the Winnapaug Inn.

We have stayed here many times and it’s our go-to place when the price is right. We particularly like the pool, the breakfast and watching people play golf next door, which you can see from the hotel room. That said, we booked the deluxe two queen beds mostly because the pictures showed it being on the ground floor with a larger patio outside. When we checked in they said they only had rooms on the third floor. I have a problem with heights so I never set foot on the balcony and missed out on the golfing. Also the towels could use some fabric softener. But we’ll be back.

I had a very nice stay at the Winnapaug Inn. Staff was in the office when I arrived and greeted me with smile. The room was clean and the cleaning staff was awesome! Shower had plenty of hot water. My room overlooked the putting green of the golf course. I could go out on the balcony from my room and enjoy a nice cup of tea. The beach was only 3 minutes away. I would definitely stay again.

It is basically one-stop convenience. The owners take pride in their property and it's a great place to stay, to explore the area, golf, swim, shop and head to the beach. The restaurant near the hotel, has everything available for drinks, meals or just a quick bite. Made our trip stress free.

WE WERE THERE FOR 3 DAYS FOR A BEACH WEDDING. WE HAD A 3RD FLOOR ROOM ON THE GOLF COURSE SIDE. SHADY ALL AFTERNOON ON OUR BALCONY!!! HAD FUN WITH THE GOLFERS AS WE COULD TELL THEM EXACTLY WHERE THEIR BALL WAS IN THE ROUGH!!!! AC WASN'T GREAT AND WE CALLED THE FRONT DESK AND SOMEONE WAS THERE WITHIN 5 MINUTES TO TAKE CARE OF IT. POOL AREA HAS TABLES, UMBRELLAS AND LOUNGE CHAIRS. VENICE RESTAURANT NEXT DOOR WAS FANTASTIC. A+ ALL AROUND.

I wish they had coffee in the rooms, however they do have a continental breakfast with cereal, bagels, fruit, juice, coffee and tea from 7:30 to 9:30.. Hotel is original from the 1980s and is very antiquated, needs updating.

It's okay, expensive for what it is, but others in the area are too. At least there's free breakfast here (it's nothing great, no cooked items, but helps). There's also a seasonal pool and shuffleboard (on regular concrete, but hey!). Balcony is enjoyable. Small fridge and microwave in room, free wifi, but NO COFFEE in the room. Breakfast begins at 7:30 so I'm a zombie until then.

When I drove onto the property I parked my car and walked into the main building to check-in. I opened the door and was surprised not to see a front desk. I walked down the hallway a little and started to become concerned because it was not a very clean facility. I walked downstairs, then outside looking for the office, and found it in a detached building.

When I walked into the office I was already questioning if I wanted to stay there, so I asked if I could cancel my reservation because this hotel was not what it looked like on the website. I was told no by the very rude front desk manager, so I thought it was just one night, so I checked in and proceeded to my room.

I was told by the manager to enter through the side door with a number three on it. As I approached the door I noticed it didn't lock and thought that was strange. I went to my room and noticed an unclean smell and the mattress was lumpy. As I stood there I kept thinking about how the door wasn't locked and I went to check the other doors to the outside. All of the doors didn't lock and basically, anyone could walk into the building at any time of day and more importantly at night. As a woman traveling alone, it felt unsafe, so I asked for a refund and was told no. So I left and went to the Marriott.

I would not recommend this hotel if your standards are to stay someplace with polite staff, clean rooms, and doors that lock to keep you safe.

Person that checked us in was not friendly at all. It was like we were a bother. Hot tub was not hot even though open. Room was nice and clean. Sheet on one of the beds had a stain on it. It was clean but the stain was noticeable. It should not have been used.
