Tom and Joe were at Reception and were amazingly welcoming! I had just come off the train from NYC and was a few hours early for check-in. They accomodated me right away and I was able to drop my bags off and head out to explore. The room was very clean and fresh, the beds comfy and the bathrooms well appointed. Joy, the nightime desk person was very friendly and helpful. The Inn is within walking distance of the middle of town.

The breakfast is awkward because you call a number to have fruit and coffee delivered to your room. I’d rather a more traditional breakfast arrangement where you can go to a central location on the property to get what you want. The rest of the amenities and offerings were fantastic. Check in was easy and they spent time with us going over where to eat what to visit and etc. I thought I would really miss having a coffee machine in my room but just call the front desk they will bring you one. The property is about a 2 minute drive to the Center of town or an easy 10 to 15 minute walk

This hotel ws a very pleasant surprise. The staff were LOVELY! The room was incredible with a fireplace and a jacuzzi. Loved the location and the bed was heavenly. The breakfast was disappointing but that was like 2% of our experience - the hotel is fantastic, but we ended up buying coffees and breakfast somewhere else so not a big deal.

If you get assigned the back of the property in a two story building, immediately change your room. Amtrak train is in the backyard. Every few minutes it sounds like a jet airliner flying over.

The Taber Inne is a lovely place to stay but definitely more like a motel than a hotel. It has outdoor access to rooms but also a back door that leads to a very nice back deck area with chairs. The room is pretty small for 3 adults and the bathroom is tiny with limited counter space. Overall it was a good place to spend the night.

There is not too much you could walk to except for the market, which is directly across the street. There was no heat (until October) in our room, but we did not need it. The whole Inn area is very well kept and extremely clean. To me the Continental breakfast was just so-so, but it is complimentary. The entire staff was welcoming, pleasant and informative. The jetted tub in our room and the “back porch” with seating were two nice touches.
