The front desk was chaotic and disorganized. The room (for 4 people) had two towels and no bath mat. The front desk had to be called several times to bring up two extra towels and a bath mat - it took over 2.5hrs since the first call before they did. The spa’s sauna was lukewarm and of the 3 showers available by the sauna - 1 was cold, 1 broken and the other dirty.
The one saving grace was the gentleman in the lobby who was taking food orders because there was no dining in the restaurant (Valentine’s reservations only) was switched on, super helpful and doing his best to mange a difficult and chaotic situation.

I had an excellent stay at the Mystic Marriott! Everything was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was absolutely wonderful everyone was so kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay, which really made a difference.

The restaurant on site was also really good. The food and service were both great, and it was so convenient to have that option right at the hotel.

The only small things I’d mention are that I stayed during school break week, so the pool area was pretty packed with kids. Also, based on one of the photos online, it looked like there was a hot tub, so I was a little bummed to find out there isn’t one anymore.

That said, it was still a 10/10 stay for me. I would absolutely come back and recommend it to others!

It was advertised on the Expedia site that they had roll away beds for free. I called Marriot directly they said they would provide one for us. When we checked in they said we were not allowed to have one due to the fire Marshall. They did nothing to accommodate us, so the stay was very uncomfortable. They should not advertise an item in amenities when they will not allow it. Very upset with this stay

They had a problem with the heat all weekend. It was 76 degrees in the room and they had the windows screwed shut so we couldn’t open them.
We complained to the front desk and they said there was nothing they could do. Horrible Valentine’s Day weekend!

The only thing that I forgot to mention to the downstairs service team was that part of the toilet seat holding screw was on the floor when I went to the bathroom for the first time. It was an amazing stay. The spa was awesome. I want to thank everybody.

Overall, a very pleasant stay. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout, and the location was convenient and easy to get around from. Check-in and parking were smooth, and the spa services were a nice added touch. The only minor drawback was some noise from neighboring rooms at times, but it didn’t take away from an otherwise enjoyable experience.

The towels in our room were visibly dirty and covered in yellow stains. Replacement towels delivered later were also stained. We additionally found hair in the bed (including blonde hair; I have brown hair). When this was reported, there was a long delay in staff responding, and the interaction was unpleasant.

We were also woken up late Saturday night by hotel staff knocking on our door asking if we had requested a rollaway bed, which we had not. Overall, this experience was far below the standard expected for a Marriott resort.

Very nice hotel and convenient location. I got a facial at the spa and my husband got a massage. Great spa but very pricey. The hotel on site is also very expensive, we did not eat on site. We were looking forward to using the pool, but there seemed to be some kind of girls event this weekend so there were tweens all over the pool and lobby and hallways. They were running around the hallways even after 10pm so that was a bit annoying. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, there’s no fan in the bathroom which I thought was a bit strange. The room was very nice, clean and well appointed though.

We had a very pleasant stay. The spa was amazing we had a 60 min massage and a pedicure. The spa area us very relaxing. The restaurant at the hotel was good, a little overpriced but it could be the area, breakfast buffet for two was $79. The lobby and bar where decorated for the holidays and it was beautiful. When we got to our room to lay down we noticed our comforter was really dirty it actually looked moldy. My husband went to front desk and thankfully in less than 10 mins we had it all changed. We appreciate the quick service and hope they threw that old one away. Overall a pleasant stay but can be pricey quickly!

The staff was very courteous. We enjoyed the daily complimentary drinks and food vouchers which offset the destination fee charged at check-in. The hotel bar and restaurant were very comfortable and the menu had a nice variety of dinner entrees. We were very pleased with our stay and would recommend the Mystic Marriott.

For a Marriott I expected more. Room was ok…asked for a king size bed and pull out couch. Room only had king bed no pull out couch. They brought in a crap roll away bed. Wasn’t the cleanest. Hair on light fixtures in the hallway. Idk felt more like a holiday inn than a marriott

The $40 destination fee was weird, I was given a ticket for two drinks (I'm sober as is my spouse), and $12.50 (which apparently is what a pint of Ben & Jerry's costs, as no change given.)

The toilet paper holder in the room was precariously hung to the wall and surrounded by ripped wallpaper. Even more precariously, the cover for the HVAC unit in the corner was hanging open at the bottom. Sliding door on bathroom is weird. The overall decor was updated and lovely, but there was a lot of wear and tear, dirt streaks on walls, chipped and worn fittings and trim that indicated there isn't a lot of upkeep / maintenance. The sheets wouldn't stay on the bed which worried me about the mattress cleanliness. The outlet next to the bed didn't work. The room didn't have a microwave - there is one for the whole hotel so that was fun. (The room does have a hair dryer, full size ironing board and iron tho, so the absence of a microwave was a bit weird. Maybe there's an amusing story behind it.)

The gym was lovely with plenty of machines and an impressive amount of space and array of equipment. The 2 yoga mats are crumbling and in need of replacement. The pool was lovely and clean and heated, with nice large sheet towels provided.

The ev chargers were functional and very convenient.

I'm torn on this one, but, overall it was more worn than I expected based on reviews I read.

I have never in my life encountered hotel staff that are so incredibly rude. And I’ve traveled a lot.

When checking in, they didn’t even make eye contact with me and spoke to me in such an aggressive tone-I did say something to that person. I came down later at night & was treated so disrespectfully by a different staff member- I walked away appalled! They were so rude to me and the only person working at the front desk so when I got back to my room and found the sheets stained & the TV not working at all— I had no one to call & complain to.

I’m shocked at how poorly I was treated by The front desk staff when I was just trying to check in & later ask a simple question.

Very unprofessional & unwelcoming.

It absolutely ruined my experience at the hotel.

I’m extremely disappointed & think that I should be treated as a human being with kindness & respect. Let alone, for the cost of this reservation- the TV should work, & The bed needs to be clean!!

Also there was no notification of an additional „resort fee” that I was required to pay when I made this reservation.

I’m so disappointed in the poor customer service and treatment of me like I was an inconvenience to the people who work here. Marriot should be ashamed.

Everyone deserves to be treated with respect but this is a business! And customers should not be treated like trash.

I love this hotel we've stayed here before for a group meeting. It is so comfortable it is attractive inside and out, the food is amazing the service is incredibly excellent I mean people come and greet you and show you to where you have to go everyone's very friendly everyone's very efficient I travel a great deal and I rarely experience this level of sophistication at a reasonable price. You are only a few minutes to downtown Mystic and a short ride to New London so a strategically located off the exits but you're up in a secluded area so you feel like you're in the country. Everything is well appointed and I just can't say enough. They even have streaming services on the tv - as a streaming devotee I appreciate that too. If you have an opportunity to stay here please do.

Quick check in, friendly & helpful staff . The room was comfortable , clean and spacious . We did not visit the dining but the pool area was perfect for our little ones. The water was warm, it was not crowded and there was a nice outdoor seating area to dry off after . The only complaint was concerige. There is only 1 staff available so we waited a very long time to get assistance with bags checking out.

We arrived early for check in, exhausted from an early morning flight into HPN. While the room wasn’t ready we were able to enjoy the spa on site including pool, relaxation room, stream and sauna with the stay. It was a nice feature that elevated my rating. The hotel itself needs an overhaul. I had to call down for a luggage rack, new iron and ironing board cover. The safe was locked at check in so valuables couldn’t be secured. We of course didn’t discover this until we were ready to leave so I just left the dnd sign on the door and skipped room service that day instead of the hassle of calling the front desk again. The towels are hit or miss, the room was dark, windows need cleaning. It is a 3 star Marriott in a peaceful, convenient location that was suitable for the no fuss stay I was on with family. If you aren’t picky or can overlook lack of usual Marriott details like robes, in room coffee maker toiletries like qtips, cotton balls etc you’ll be fine. Apparently next year the hotel is being remodeled…it’s definitely ready for some TLC.

Also, as an \"Expedia Platinum Member,\" I should be receiving \"Free Room Upgrades\", in addition to other perks. Called Expedia, they were useless, barely spoke English & read verbatim what Expedia posts online about VIP status & upgrades. Had no choice but to book the suite prior to arrival, or it wouldn't have been available. (I should be compensated for the difference.) I've spent a great deal of money to earn Platinum Status to not reap any it's benefits. Aside from that, the room was so filthy, we were originally planning on staying 4-5 nights, but left after one. Black mold in the bathroom. Floors were so dirty & they had spilt stains that were never cleaned up & dried sticky. Should be receiving a full refund!!!!

When I called after checking out to get a list of incidentals, I was told they would be emailed and I never received the email. The hotel was very close to all the top attractions and the rooms were comfortable and well decorated. Biggest issue was the hotel did not enforce the 10pm-8am quiet time which was frustrating. People making loud noise 2 out of our 3 nights until 1am-2am and then babies crying in the hallway at 6am, which was very loud in the rooms.

Lauren and Nathaniel are incredible. Always impecable service and very professional. These 2 are true assets to Marriott!! On the other hand our room upon checkin was very warm . The ac was not working. Maintenance was called to our room but room was still uncomfortable. Also, ordered a welldone steak and twice was served a bloody red inside steak. Beautiful hotel about 20 minutes to the casino. I love that the rooms do not have rugs and so my allergies were not affected. The lobby is lovely and the bar restaurant on the first floor had a good amount of people on a Saturday night. We’d stay here again.
