an okay hotel in a ok area, could hardly find staff when needed, no microwave in the room, youd have to go down to the 1st floor dining area and wait for who ever to dinish using it. Hardly seen housekeepers and had to fo to the front desk and wait for someone to appear so i could get fresh towels

The whole place in deteriorating condition. The furniture was in bad condition. Horrible pillows.
The bathroom sink was falling apart. The carpet was smelly & the door to the room appeared as it was forced at some point. We could see light from the hallway through the latch . The cleaning staff was making too much noise when entering the cleaning closet. It was making a large banging nice. Also my like there was construction in the adjacent room.
I regred staying there with my family. We booked 3 rooms for that weekend in advanced and I was told we couldn’t get a refund to go somewhere else. We were tempered to sleep in our cars.

The room was terrible. There was mold all over the bathroom, the carpet was ripped and stained, and the furniture was torn. The sink was leaking, there was makeup smeared on the furniture, and the shower bar was coming off the wall. This was by far the worst motel I’ve ever stayed in.

This was the dirtiest room I have ever been in. There were cigarette burn holes in the sheets, blankets and bedspread. There was cigarette smoke smell coming into the room all night. The carpet was sticky and stained. The curtains were shredded, had to clip the together. The bathroom was the only clean place. I’ve been deployed to 3rd world countries that were cleaner than this hotel.

I heard they renovated this place so gave it another chance. Arrived to find my room lock was inoperable. Staff could not get in either so she kindly offered a room that had a flooding problem. Carpet was wet, bed was soft but clean sheets and HVAC worked well.

Horrible Service, Place is a Dump

Arrived tired at 10:30pm and the room was pre-paid. It stank like weed when I entered the lobby. Front desk person did not arrive back to desk for 15 minutes. Upon checking in, I realized that my driver’s license was not in my wallet. I had an expired license and a picture of my current license that I was willing to email them as a backup. The front desk person kept repeating that it was hotel policy and then she couldn’t check me in without a physical copy of my actual ID. She was unwilling to budge, even though I told her that the license was 4 hours away and that I had nowhere else to stay. She didn’t care. I asked to speak to the manager on duty, she said that she was unavailable at the time. She wouldn’t check me in no matter what and threatened to call the police as I plead my case. I found a hotel an hour north who would take an email of my ID and printed a copy. The Super 8 in Groton was a dump and the place I found was much better. But ended up paying for 2 hotels.

Other than the carpet, the room was clean & comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is old and outdated and smelled like old smoke. We never saw or heard anyone vacuum for 3 days. Breakfast is basically a choice of 2 snacks, coffee and juice. It was okay for a quick stop but its definitely not for long term or a vacation. I would go back if nothing else was available but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Front desk staff are nice, parking availability is good, housekeeping is good, but our room felt “wet”, “moist”. As if there was mold. However there was no sight of mold anywhere! The carpet floor felt weird and isn’t in the best condition. Also many things weren’t great. Cracked/bloated wood, things painted very messy, etc.
The best thing was the shower pressure and its ability to be hot or cold in an instant, also the staff is very accommodating in providing extra towels and pillows.

Front desk agent was nice and I understand this is not up to her. The manager is a disappointment. Not only talking over you when you trying to explain your concerns and request something to be done but also rude and don’t know how to handle complaints. The area is super sketchy! I drove up from North Carolina because I was now stationed in Groton and needed a place to stay until my apartment was ready. I stayed in the room the entire time but paranoid that my car would for sure get broken into. This place needs a major upgrade and everything is super dated. Room was clean but everything looked old. The worst stay at any hotel ever

Amanda Riley was nice and helpful. However the rest of the hotel was an absolute dump. I got the impression it is used for section 8 housing. The place smelled of weed. I believe I saw a drug deal. The carpet in my room had a hole. The blankets had burn holes in the, one could only assume were from cigarettes. The Big Texas cinnamon rolls they had for breakfast were stale. The bathroom sink had burn marks on it and held up with exposed plywood. The parking lot is a junkyard. There were 9 inoperable vehicles in the parking lot that you could tell from the debris on them that they had not been driven in a long time. I woke up early and went downstairs to get a cup of coffee. There was no one to be found. Finally after about a half hour a guy showed up behind the counter and I asked about coffee. He told me 6:00. We didn’t even look up at me and spoke in a very non pleasant tone. His name is Angel. He seemed like a very disgruntled employee. Oh yeah, the window curtain has holes in it and the carpet doesn’t seem to have seen a vacuum in quite some time. Especially between the nightstand and bed.

Check in was smooth since Hotels.com had already designated the room - I was able to get the keys early.
Nightstand lamp did not work - nor did the outlets on the lamp - we told the desk about it.
Bathtub dangerously slippery because they put the shampoo and body wash containers opposite the faucet so it left slippery substance all over the tub bottom. If they had installed those on the same side as the faucet and showerhead (like other hotels I have gone to) - the water would rinse the residue away.
Bed was fine, pillows fine, small refrigerator also nice.

One of the worst hotels I ever stayed at! Room smelled like smoke even though it was a non smoking room. Cigarette burns on carpet, cabinet between beds was a shell with no drawers, fan in bathroom noisy and hanging down. Lots of abandoned cars in parking lot, I bet this is one of CT’s Governors homeless hotels! If I didn’t pre pay thru Expedia, I’d been gone at checkin. I’m very surprised this is even listed on Expedia! Not happy!! Never Again

Best part of the stay was the receptionist that checked us in. Very very nice and friendly.

This was $397 for 2 nights . Wasn’t worth $200 for 2 nights

To be honest as always it’s stated no refunds or we would have left the same night we checked in to look for another hotel.

Dirty inside and outside, smell wasn’t pleasant, presence of homeless people staying at premises which is good in a way at least they have a place to stay .

Very worn carpet everywhere, poor working doors, I could go on forever.

I don’t like to complain, But this just wasn’t worth what we paid other than the receptionist.

My wife was very uncomfortable as well.

This property seems to be more of a shelter or long term residence, which is not reflected during booking. Lobby and elevator floor were filthy. The \"incuded breakfast\" is a nutrigrain bar. There are many people hangibg out outside on the grounds smoking at the entrance and all over the parking lot. The room was also very dirty. Cigarette stains on the carpet, sink, and blinds. Entire building smells of smoke. Broken lamp/shade. Doors did not feel securely locked.
I've used super 8 by windham in other cities and this was by far nothing ive seen before.

The hotel is obviously used primarly to house homelss. There was no available parking . Counted 11 cars in the lots with no plates , flat tires and hadnt been moved in a long time. The floor of my room smelled like cigarette smoke. The elevator was filthy , entire property was dirty and so much in disrepair. No free breakfast .

The parking lot had a few defunct cars. Entrance doors were open for anyone to go in. Upon walking in the stench of the hotel was awful. It smelled like a blend of ashtray and marijuana. My television didn't work and I didn't bother to contact the front desk because I just wanted to sleep. I did not shower because it looked so gross. The free breakfast was laughable. Coffee, juices and a few different items. I did find a wonderful breakfast spot down the road a bit. Someone from corporate should pay a visit and stay there.

The staff were wonderful - welcoming, kind, answered all of our questions, and greeted us at the door kindly each time we came and went. Everything else was disappointing. The entire building wreaked of old cigarettes - it was overwhelming. When I asked if there were non-smoking rooms, the staff informed me of the new laws and fines posed onto people who smoke in the room as it is a non-smoking hotel. I found it comical since the entire building stinks - a lot of people must get fines there, or maybe it was a smoking hotel before - I don't know. I don't know how to describe it but it felt like very bad things have happened in our room.. it just felt.. dingy and I wanted to go home. There were burn marks on the carpet, broken furniture, a poorly patched up hole in the wall and the room smelled like cigarettes. The furniture felt greasy and dirty. The bed was spring-ey and very uncomfortable. The bathroom was fine - straightforward, shower worked fine. The AC worked well and helped lessen the smell but minimally, at best. I understand it is a budget hotel but it was really bad. We couldn't wait to leave. That being said, it was a place to rest our heads and the staff really were super nice. Don't be fooled by the \"continental breakfast\" - it was a small display of nutrigrain bars and cinnamon buns that ran out almost immediately. We didn't expect much but thought there would be fruit or something. I would not ever stay at that hotel again. I recommend trying another spot.
