We were on first floor and couldn’t sleep. The construction of the hotel is so poor that even with someone walking around above it was impossible to sleep. The front desk staff said all rooms are like that. The elevator buttons were dirty, the breakfast area looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in awhile (we were there early). I wouldn’t stay there again.

Very clean and face lifted. The bagel bar was good, especially the build your own yogurt. The walls were a little thin, so I didn’t mind the long walk to the end of the hall where our room was. Hilton did a very nice job saving this older hotel without completely rebuilding it. Very convenient to 95. Would stay here again.

The hotel was clean, the staff was polite. Sukuda (I hope I spelled it correctly)was very pleasamt and helpful. The hotel is in a convenient location, the breakfast option was decent, and for most part our stay was quiet except for the last morning we were there. One of the guests allowed their kids to run up and down hall. One of the reasons why we choose this hotel is were the amenities and location. On the site one of the ammenities was fitness with a pix of a dumbbell. (We expected a gym of some sort) There was no fitness room. At all. When I asked about it I was told that sometimes happens on a third party site. I did not get that info from a 3rd party site. It was on the hotels site. After I sent a screen shot of that then she told me she would let her Manager know. The cost of the stay was not worth the price.We have stayed at other hotels in and out of the country and the rooms were much nicer. The bathroom was small. The sink was outside the bathroom. We had to go downstairs to front desk to get an ice bucket that was a small disposable container. That will be our.last stay at a Spark hotel by Hilton. At those prices that will be pur last stay. We don't mind paying. We just want to get what we paying for.

I made the reservation for a friend. When she tried to check in, they wouldn't let her. The desk clerk was friendly but confined by expedia policy. I spoke with the desk clerk and still had to wait to contact expedia for my friend to access her room. Wasted a couple of hours. I dont know anything about the hotel but the check-in was not good.

The hotel was very overpriced for the services offered. Rooms were clean but small with paper thin walls that had barely any sound insulation. Breakfast options very limited even for a hotel of this category. The only positive aspect was the very friendly staff who let us check in early so our toddler could take a nap. Mystic is great but if we were to return we would definitely choose a different hotel.

The pricing compared to some other hotels in the area was good but the hotel is uninviting and dreary. The reception area is so basic you might think rooms can be rented hourly. The halls were dimly lit and institutional looking. Our AC would only cool set at 69 and with the fan on tornado. They did send maintenance right away but he said the thermostat was wonky and said to set it as previously described. Never again.

This hotel was okay, but not ideal. The layout of the room was terrible for traveling with young children - the available floor space was so narrow that it couldn't even accommodate a children's travel crib in most spots (the only place the travel crib fit was blocking an entire side of the bed); the sink was separate from the bathroom and was basically in the middle of the bedroom portion instead (so if anyone went to the bathroom in the middle of the night and dared wash their hands, they woke everyone else up); and there were no outlets in the actual bathroom, so the night light (provided by the hotel) was plugged into the area near the sink, directly across from the beds, where it could shine into our faces all night and keep us up. There was no cold water available in the hotel, except bottled water for purchase in the lobby. The breakfast was also sub-optimal and featured not enough options, especially healthy or high protein options. Other than that, the hotel was fine.

Obtaining wifi was very difficult and our thermostat did not work well at all. Both of these things required staff assistance. Staff were friendly, room was just fine - love the Zero shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and soap. Breakfast was good. Nice variety

The room was very good except the television didn't work. Hotels.com was not helpful at all. When customer sevice said a manager would call me back, they never did.
Spark by Hilton staff stepped up to resolve the issue greatly. I would highly recommend booking rooms directly through Hilton as I found their customer service is top notch right down to the staff at Spark.

This property was an old Days Inn property that was totally redone with sufficient resources to make it an acceptable cost effective property for singles and families. It is bright, comfortable and very much up to American standards. No lingering stench of curry or bhuddist statuary.

The pool, breakfast /lounge area /food and accessibility to the rooms from parking lot were great. Staff was nice.
I did not like the noise from the thin ceilings inbetween first and second floor.
It wasn’t the guests fault. I think it is the age of the hotel.
It was hard to fall asleep sometimes.
Other than that the experience was great.

The hotel was conveniently located just 3 minutes from Deviant Donuts, 8 minutes from Treetop Adventure, and about 10 minutes from the famous Mystic Pizza.
Lisa, who checked us in, was very nice, welcoming, and helpful. The complimentary breakfast included bagels, muffins, cereal, coffee, and juice. The breakfast area was clean and well-maintained. They even offered strawberry cream cheese, if that's your thing!
Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. After checking out, we took advantage of the pool before heading out to explore more of Mystic. We had it all to ourselves for most of the time, with only one other family arriving just before we left. The pool area was clean and inviting. While the water didn't seem to be heated to the advertised 80 degrees, it was still comfortable enough. As someone who hates cold water, I only needed one quick dunk before I was fine. It helped that it was a sunny day, that’s for sure.
One thing that stood out was that the hotel had beach balls floating in the pool for the kids to play with, which I've never seen before. There was also two cornhole game set up, and they had two large coolers filled with ice water available for guests, another thoughtful touch that I haven't encountered at other hotels.
Overall, we had a great experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again with my son

This is a decent place for an economy stay. Interior hallways show their age and don't smell fresh. Room itself was updated. Parking on front side was full so we parked alone in the back. It was a bit dark and a long walk to the front, or walk across grass to an emergency exit which my room key did open.
Overall, not bad and didn't feel unsafe.

This hotel has been recently updated. Its well maintained and clean. Pool looked inviting but we did not actually use it.
The location is excellent . Close to many tourist sites and plenty of food options. We were there to visit the Mystic Seaport Museum which is about 7 minutes away,
My only issue was the breakfast fare. Mostly carbs and lacking protein except for hard boiled eggs and over sweetened vanilla yogurt from a soft serve type of dispenser.

Our room had a funky smell the entire visit. Housekeeping did spray air freshener but it only masked the smell. It seemed to be a plumbing or moisture issue as it was concentrated in our room’s bathroom.

Appreciated having complimentary breakfast and the location is close to the aquarium/Old Mystic Village.

We had a comfortable stay. Our room was renovated and quite nice. The breakfast was simple but everything tasted good and the breakfast area was well-stocked and clean. I feel like the staff there makes a strong effort to make things nice in an older building.

One drawback was every room is pet friendly, and we felt like we could smell that in our room.

The location was great and so was the price for the area. All things considered, I would stay there again.

The hotel itself is small and so the rooms are pretty small as well. Especially the bathroom in the room. The sink was located outside of the bathroom due to its small size. There was a terrible smell in our room. It smelled really musty in comparison to the hallway and lobby. We tried febreze and Lysol, but it was no match for the stench. We also had to ask for extra pillow and linen although the room itself featured a pull out couch. But no extra linen in the room to utilize the pull out bed. And when a pillow was requested, woman at the lobby was not sure if she could fulfill request (but thankfully did). Not a horrible location but a bit of a let down for sure. Basic needs even including an ice bucket had to be requested at the front desk.

This was a basic, clean, hotel where everything worked. The price was competitive. Hotel parking was on-site and free. It was not walkable to downtown Mystic, so we drove. The breakfast was standard for this type of Hilton hotel. Nothing remarkable, but so comforting to be in a place you can depend on.

Hotel facility and amenities was okay, guests were the main culprits throwing their trash outside of the trash bins, right outside the doors leading to the parking lots.
Room 159 was clean, and toiletries were very nice.
Parking was readily available and the area well lit and felt safe.
Breakfast on the second floor could be better, it was mostly cereal and breads, with pictures displayed on how to jazz it up with peanut butter/nutella/cereals. The only real protein offered was shell-on hard-boiled eggs. Wish there was a wider variety of offerings. The breakfast area was spacious and meticulously clean.
The best part of my stay were the staff.
Every single working person we met in the hotel were exceptionally nice! Super friendly, kind, patient and helpful! Not just to me, but to every person they encountered.
Alexandria and Lisa at the front desk are just wonderful! I highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is an old hotel that’s been painted over to make seem new. However, our room was very smelly and we had to move and the second one. also had an odd odor. Maybe it’s an old smoking hotel and they were trying to cover it up with paint I’m not sure but even though the staff was very helpful and very nice and the breakfast was fine. I would not recommend this hotel.

I would suggest skipping this hotel for anyone looking to stay in the Mystic area. This hotel looks nothing like the photos in the property listing. It is dated, dark, and uncomfortable. The surrounding area is ugly and close to nothing. The breakfast is a joke and borderline inedible. I called Expedia immediately to report the discrepancy in how the hotel is presented in the listing and the reality. I hope the company steps up and makes this place what they say it is.
