My only complaint is that there is no elevator and the steps we had to use were a huge obstacle. I could barely make it up the steps and going down was just as bad as the stairs were very steep

Property was very clean with kind and helpful staff who helped carry our heavy luggage up the stairs and even ran our dishes in the dishwasher for us. Breakfast service was great with many options. It was a little hard to sleep on hot nights (visited in August) since the neighborhood was too noisy to keep the windows open, but I guess that is what happens when you choose a convenient city center location sometimes. The area was beautiful and very walkable, just steps to the famous Vismarkt, so I can't complain.

Some of the best customer service I have ever seen. They worked to find me two extra days when my trip was extended. Friendly and helpful desk staff. Very clean and modern rooms. No AC but a large fan was supplied. Flawless room and building. Beautiful and lively neighbourhood with many shops and restaurants.

Pick your room with care
We’d stayed here before and liked it. But seems to very much depend which room you get. This trip we had two different rooms over 4 days (we’d made two different bookings) and the 1st room was supposed to be the fancier (more expensive) room. Frankly we preferred the 2nd room much better. Good location and not bland like so many other hotels :) Would recommend.

Very cool place to stay in Groningen - comprised of apartments along the same street as the reception and restaurant in historic buildings. Really lovely and unique. We were there in August, but had to good fortune to encounter relatively mild weather so were very comfortable. But as you'll see in other reviews, the apartments don't have air conditioning (it's not permitted in these historic buildings) so beware staying here in very hot weather.
Our apartment was up a very steep flight of stairs - very charming and Dutch - and a member of the staff was kind enough to lug my very heavy bag up those stairs. But be sure to ask on making a reservation about how many floors up your room is if you're concerned about the climb. The staff was also very helpful in making restaurant recommendations - their helpfulness made our stay even better.

Modern Vibe in Historic Setting
The hotel is located in a wonderful area, right along the canal. The architecture blends nicely into the existing historic context. We had a deluxe room for our stay. It was clean, comfortable and had a nice balcony overlooking the canal. We’d highly recommend for your trip to the beautiful Groningen!

Disappointing room
I was disappointed with our room in Hotel Miss Blanche. The photos give high expectations, but unfortunately the reality was not so good, and the furniture in our room was rather basic. The rooms are spread across different buildings in a small area along the canal, and I guess that the time of refurbishment differs depending on which building the room is in. We stayed in a double room, and the window looked into a small courtyard with very tall walls so not much natural light made it to into our room. In addition, there was walkway right outside our window, meaning it was not possible to leave the curtains fully open. And to make things even worse, the lighting in the room was \"romantic\" even on the highest brightness, so that it felt quite dingy even in the middle of the day. The bed was also incredibly soft which is okay for some, but causes back problems for others (me included). The location and staff were great, but I wouldn't recommend to stay here because of the room.

A beautiful stay—-we had the gigantic two bedroom suite. Modern styling and modern building right on the canal (which likely is noisy on weekends) and a gorgeous, huge, first rate apartment, well decorated, great beds, full living and dining room and kitchen, fantastic bath. And absolutely lovely staff. Expensive but very very nice apartment.

Perfect home away from home
We were in Groningen for my niece's graduation, and were meeting family in town. The suite had a comfortable sitting and dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen area, enabling us to prepare breakfast and lunch there, and to do some light entertaining. The location could not be better, central to everything. There is a bakeshop and grocery store across the street, a restaurant downstairs, and a cafe along the Gracht around the corner. Miss Blanche's management was very accommodating, allowing us to check in early, and tending to out luggage on the day of our departure, while we had business to take care of. Ine of the best experiences I have had. Highly recommend. One note: it can be noisy at night due to the location. Light sleepers may need to request a suite that doesn't face the street.

Brilliant place to day
A very high standard accommodation, perfect location close to City centre and bars/restaurants. Everything was of high standard in this Suite. I would highly recommend and for the first time I have booked somewhere that has met exactly what the description says. You can stay here comfortably for a week, lots of storage space for clothes, apartment is fully equipped for cooking and even a fantastic coffee machine. The Maid came in every day and we were left with fresh towels and tea/coffee/ milk topped up. I cannot fault this, the only thing I would mention is that the stairs to the accommodation are very steep so maybe not good for elderly people, but of course not a problem for me, I would stay there again without hesitation. Loved it !

Great studio apartment with kitchen, sitting area, and washer and dryer in room. It had a high quality oven, stove top, coffee maker, and fridge. It had all the essential items to make a meal, including knives, can opener, pots & pans, etc. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. There was even Google Chromecast available.

On trend decor and super comfortable
This hotel is actually a series of small suites scattered throughout historic buildings in the heart of Groningen. The decor is absolutely on trend and lovely, with modern touches mixed with antiques. The bed was extremely comfortable and the full-size kitchen (even with combination microwave/convection oven) very convenient! There is a grocery store/food shop across the street from the building I stayed in, open until 10 pm every evening, which is super convenient when you don't want to eat out. Overall, loved this hotel and will return next time I'm in Groningen.

A very nice hotel with a big room. The hotel is in an old building which means there are several intrances and no elevator. I only had a few thing I didn't like. One thing is that there were no easy accessible power outlet (which is a general problem in many hotels). The other thing was that because the hotel is in an old building I could feel vibrations when heavy vehicles like busses passed by in the street. Even the cabinet doors were clattering. But these things aside it was a very nice and spacious room which also had a stove so that your can cook yourself. I stayed there for business, but I would go back for leisure.

Nice hotel and location
This was a very nice hotel with a very accommodating staff. I changed rooms after one night because my room along the street was noisy at night. They moved me to a room along the canal, which was quiet and had a nice view.

The hotel / apartments are lovely and in a perfect location. There was a climb to my attic suite; quite steep and many of the Dutch canal houses have steep stairs. This was 3 flights up.

Was welcomed at reception by extremely warm and friendly staff who even took the time to show us round to the car park and then a short walk round the nearby attractions and some tourist information. A really positive start and then shown to the apartment. The apartment itself was stunning, really clean, loads of excellent facilities and was large enough to stow all our motorcycle gear and still move around. To top it off, were offered a free welcome drink at the cafe next door.

Very central location. The hotel has its own parking garage close by. It was unclear though that you had to prereserve a spot. On our first night we had to park in a public parking garage. Fantastiskt läge. Du bor mitt i centrum vid kanalen med fina gamla, historiska byggnader. Mycket fin frukost. Vi bodde i en svit bredvid caféet mot gatan, fint rum med allt du behöver i. Det var sommar, vi hade fönstrena öppet som förde in en del ljud med det var inte olidligt. Privata parkeringen som hotellet har var värt att betala trots att det var trångt och svårt att parkera. Sammantaget är vi nöjda och rekommenderar till andra. Bättre läge kan jag inte önska.

Vi kunne først ankomme efter hotellets reception var lukket. Men information om sen indtjekning var meget professionel både med mobilopkald og efterfølgende mailkorrespondance. Vi boede på meget hyggeligt værelse i en hus med indgang fra gågaden. Der var ingen elevator og trapperne var stejle men personalet havde forinden sikret sig at det ikke var et problem for os. Morgenmaden var rigtig god på den nærliggende hyggelige café. Generelt oplevede vi megen imødekommenhed og interesse både fra personalet og borgere i byen.

Fiquei desapontado com o café da manhã oferecido. Embora não fosse ruim, oferecia poucas opções para um hotel deste porte e valor de diária. Foi difícil escurecer o quarto e o ar condicionado não funcionava bem, de modo que eu acordei de madrugada com o calor todas as noites. Os funcionários são muito educados e competentes, tudo é muito limpo e conservado, mas pelo mesmo valor de diária - ou menos - eu já tive experiências melhores.

Heerlijk verblijf gehad. We kregen een upgrade dus het was meer dan we hadden gevraagd. Er werd gezegd dat het lawaaierig kon zijn, wij hebben hier geen last van gehad. Hele mooie accomodaties en perfecte ligging. Ontbijt was in een naastgelegen café en ook dit was voor ons helemaal prima.

Wir hatten die Canal Suite direkt über der Rezeption. Ein toller Blick auf dem Kanal. Das Schlafzimmer ist ruhig zum Innenhof. Unser Sohn hatte sein Bett in einem Schrankbett.. war wohl bequem. Das Bad war ausreichend groß. Die Dusche leider nur mit Vorhang, was für Überschwemmung gesorgt hat.
Wir hatten sogar zum 1. Advent einen Tannenbaum.
Nett eingerichtet- neu trifft auf alt. Ein tolle sehr große Suite.. alles ist vorhanden. Lediglich Wolldecken haben wir nicht gefunden, es war leider bei der Ankunft sehr kalt bei einer Außentemperatur von rd. 5 Grad. Die Fußbodenheizung war am nächsten Tag bereit.
Die buchbare Tiefgarage ist sehr eng mit wenigen Schritten zum Hotel. Ein toller Kurztrip nach Groningen.

We requested early check in the day before arrival and was told it would be no problem. Upon arrival the room wasn’t ready, but instead of making us wait, we got upgraded to a bigger room - that was really appreciated and such a great service! The room was very spacious, clean and beautiful. The bed was great, however the sleeping couch was pretty uncomfortable to sleep on. But all in all we really liked this hotel and would book it again anytime

The stay at Miss Blanche was a wonderful experience. A beautiful room with a great taste in the design. It had a lot of space and was really what we needed after a long day walking in the beautiful town of Groningen.
The kids had plenty of room to play and the breakfast was absolutely lovely.

Vi boede en af lejlighederne, spm havde smal tæppe. Vi var forberedt på dette, så vi havde taget klapvognen i stedet for barnevognen. Fin morgenmaden ved caféen henne af gaden.
