Gem of a hotel
The hotel is in a quiet area just outside Groningen. Easy to reach by car and if you wish to visit the city centre the P+R is convenient. Car parking is free and plentiful. Our room had a balcony and views over the countryside. The room itself was spacious and spotless. The reception staff were polite friendly and knowledgeable. We had dinner on both nights of our stay in the restaurant which was in my opinion excellent. It offered a wide variety of dishes for a very reasonable cost. Again the staff were top class. If I am in the area again this hotel will be my go to.

This hotel was decent but nothing special and I was a bit disappointed because they gave me the last room from the complex(64) and they saw me that I have a lot of luggage. breakfast and gym were good but the heating in the room was not working properly because I put the heaters on maximum and they were barely heated. My room was also a bit dusty.

Fabulous family owned hotel 10-15 minutes outside of Groningen, The Netherlands. The countryside and fresh air is divine. Staff, service and food also fabulous. Suggest you have a car if staying for any length of time to explore the surrounds and Groningen itself. Thank you all for making myself and out group feel welcome. We will be back in December 2019 and again in March 2020!

Die Menschen vom Team des Hotels waren alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sauber und wurde nach Bedarf auch täglich gereinigt. Das Bad mit der Badewanne fanden wir sehr schön. Die Matratzen der Betten waren leider sehr weich. Das muss man schon mögen, vor Allem wenn man sonst eher auf harten Matratzen schläft. Das Frühstück war ausreichend. Nichts Besonderes aber trotzdem lecker.
Die Umgebung ist eher dörflich. Man muss schon nach Groningen fahren, um etwas Action zu haben oder schick Essen zu gehen. Nichtsdestotrotz lud die Umgebung, aufgrund der schönen Natur, zu ausgiebigen Spaziergängen ein. Generell ist man in der Umgebung mit dem Fahrrad wohl am Besten unterwegs.
Für Autofahrer sind mehrere kleinere Städte wie Leeuwaarden oder Lemmer in ca 45min zu erreichen, wenn man etwas mehr sehen möchte.
Selbst ein Tagestrip nach Amsterdam ist bei knapp 2h Fahrtzeit für eine Tour zu empfehlen.
Alles in Allem würden wir jederzeit wieder bedenkenlos im Hotel einchecken.

Wir wurden freundlich empfangen, Wunsch nach großer Tafel für mehrere Familien wurde trotz regem Betrieb möglich gemacht. Frühstück ist gut. Zimmer insbesondere das Bad wirkte nicht mit großer Sorgfalt geputzt, obwohl sich das Hotel mit den täglichen E-Mails zur Nutzung des orangenen Buttons (für die Umwelt) sicher einige Putzgänge erspart haben wird.

Het hotel is uitstekend bereikbaar, met gratis parkeergelegenheid en een bushalte in de nabije omgeving. De kamer bood alle benodigde voorzieningen en een ruime badkamer, alles was zeer hygiënisch. Die Unterkunft wasär sehr gut. Leider funktionierte unser Kamin nicht. Als Wiedergutmachung gab es dann ein Getrönk aufs Haus. Naja, bisschen mehr hätte man erwarten können als Wiedergutmachung. Auch der Feueralarm der Nacht um 1 Uhr los ging, wo alle raus in die Kälte mussten, hätten man als Wiedergutmachung sich was einfallen lassen können.

Mooi hotel met nieuw gerenoveerde kamers. Echter een tv zonder enige streaming functionaliteit (geen hdmi aansluiting etc…) en beperkt aantal kanalen. Zeer ouderwets. Ontbijt uitgebreid echter personeel zeer gedesinteresseerd. Meerdere bakken (spek en ei) leeg terwijl het totaal niet druk was bij het ontbijt, niemand bij het omelet station. Ondanks het personeel je ziet komt niemand je helpen. Moest meerdere minuten wachten voordat er iemand kwam. Jampotten vol met vliegjes.

Based on the pictures on Expedia, we were looking forward to a night at this hotel. And the pictures don't lie. The hotel is really great. the rooms feel new and modern. Good beds and a fantastic bathroom. Practical parking on the site. Nothing to complain about at breakfast. But.. be careful! the place is infested with flies! .. and the hotel admits the problem. In our room I had to kill 16 flies before we could go to bed for the night. It was a nightmare, and ruined the whole experience of this great place. Very sorry. So if you don't love flies, steer clear of this hotel!!!!!
