The hotel is in a great location. Check in is not great. They get mad if you don’t follow the directions but the directions are not good. They needed to tell us a bit more info and it may have been easier. The young girl was more irritated by us because we had no idea what she ment. For anyone else there’s a huge wooden door that has a code then when you go through there are four options of where to go now having been here is makes sense. Once you know which scala you are in then you have to use the elevator to get to which ever floor, then once on your floor you guess at which door is the entrance to the floor as ther are not marked. There is a code for the door then you enter and find your room. Ya it would be fine if they explained it better. Not just that there are two doors and two codes.no resection except in one of the scalas so it’s inconvenient you lug suitcases and end up in the wrong wing. It’s fine other wise. Good location to wal around.

The courtyard atrium was such an unexpected surprise. The very quaint old school wooden elevator should be an attraction by itself. The location is very good - easy walking distance all around and its nice to be near the river.

Arenula Suites was extremely accommodating for Shabbat observers. Be sure to request a key for the front door as well! The suites were clean, and the reception staff were super helpful and attentive. Perfect for a cozy, simple stay right in the heart of the Ghetto.

I was a bit worried when people mentioned some negative things with this property, but truthfully had a great experience here. Yes walls are a bit thin, but I didn’t really notice at all. Easy to walk to all places. Lots a dining and shopping within a 5 minute walk. All major attractions within a 20 minute walk. Overall great stay. Would definitely return here.

Actually the rating would be higher except that the first two nights of our four night stay they had an issue. The larger and nicer room we had booked and paid for had a maintenance plumbing issue so they switched our room to a much smaller and less equipped room for two nights. No compensation was offered not even a breakfast coupon! They just kept the money and said nothing, not even a verbal apology!

We had a wonderful experience staying here. We stayed in the Deluxe Double Room and it was very spacious and comfortable. The staff were very clear with instructions in terms of finding the property, checking in and out, and a system to ensure our room was cleaned daily. The property is very centrally located without being located in the middle of crowds. The Pantheon, Travis Fountain, and Roman Forum are walkable and Trastevere is an easy walk just across the river. Will definitely stay again on my next trip to Rome.

We had a lovely stay at Arenuela suites! We could not have asked for a better location. Right near the Jewish Ghetto (many restaurants) and walkable to many of the iconic spots in Rome. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and simple. My only small complaint is that the walls were thin so I heard noises from other guests during the night. All in all, great stay

I have been previously so decided to send my parents there for a surprise 60th birthday present, it came back all positive. The staff cannot do any more for you. continental breakfast served to the room, has lovely gardens to look at. There are only around 6 rooms whch is a good thing as during the evening it is very quiet (especially if you are out and about on the go all day.

To get to the Vatican I would recommend getting a bus from near the river which is just along from the hotel. - takes roughly 45 minutes over wise a 2.5hour walk to get to it.
Plenty of lovely restaurants nearby, so if your looking for a central location near to all the famous landmarks this is a perfect hotel to choose from.

We loved the location - it is close to Campo di Fiori and lots of little restaurants and affordable shops. The area was also cleaner and safer than some others we saw in Rome. The rooms were modern and clean- and I'm pretty particular about that so that's a big deal. Fabrizio and staff were also super helpful with suggestions and how to get around using the transit system. Breakfast was also good (served at 8:45) and the fact that you can have breakfast in your room if you want an earlier start was a really nice touch. The building has fantastic old world charm too. Overall we would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful area when u walk in. When you get into the room it's nice. But it's like a dorm room. You can hear every little thing outside your room because there are others staying in the 5 rooms they have. The washroom had a weird smell coming from it. And wow is it ever small. 2 people cannot fit inside at same time. Bed was hard not that comfortable. The room when u look at it looks nice but when u look around the walls have marks all over. It was an okay experience ....the cleaning ladies are very nice. But I think I would maybe get a room that's sound proof and a bigger washroom.

Nice hotel, but noisey
The rooms were well appointed and well located, but VERY loud. The lack of insulation meant we heard our neighbors entire conversations at all hours of the day. The street noise wasnt a bother. Additionally, hot breakfast (well quite good) isn't served before 8:45 am which was a disappointment since we had early starts each day of our stay. Otherwise, it's a great location and rooms are nice. I loved having a coffee machine in the room.

Wonderful hotel
Arenula Suites is located in a beautiful old building. The accommodation is modern airy and very clean. We stayed for 2 nights and met 2 of the staff who were very very nice. Breakfast was included. You fill in a card the night before and it is delivered to your room. This was better then some of the 4 star hotels we stayed at during our trip. The hotel is within walking distance to all the major attractions. Vatican City. Trevor Fountain. Spanish Steps. Roman Forum. Palatine Hill and the Colosseum. We highly recommend this wonderful place.

Hard to find hotel...disappointing
We had emailed the hotel on the best way to reach from the Termini train station. We were told to get on the bus 63 or 40 and get off at Argentina stop. We followed these directions however with luggage this was a long walk with no signs for the hotel. We had to stop over 5 times with heavy luggage to ask people who had never heard of this hotel. We ended up turning on GPS which costs money on an American phone to use. The sign is a small flat sign on a huge door. Once you get in the big doors, there are no signs directing you to where the hotel is. It is in a condo complex. When we got up to the hotel, after someone finally told us where it was in the building, we were told that I still needed to pay for the room even though I had paid via expedia. They had not processed my card when I booked immediately. This wouldn't have been a big deal EXCEPT they charged me a hefty foreign transaction fee where as expedia does not. The breakfast that they advertise is cold, corn flakes, hard toast and stale croissants. The air also did not work in the room. There is no 24 hour front desk staff. They leave at 5 pm every day so I could not get it fixed until the next day. Also, you will be given three different keys, one for the main front door of the building, one to the front door of the hotel and one room key. Several times we came back and the door of the building was wide open. I was very disappointed with this hotel.

Fantastic room in Rome
A wonderful room in a great area of Rome. Room was clean, modern and very charming. Aurora greeted us when we arrived and made us feel welcomed. The suites are located in a great area near food and shopping near the campo di fiori, piazza navona and also pantheon. I would stay here again in a hearbeat.

Arenula Suites is old world ambiance and design with modern upgrades. One enters through a huge domed wooden door into an open air entry tiled courtyard with Roman statuary.The small elevator takes you up to the 2nd floor with secure entry to the suites themselves. Our room was a large bright corner room with spectacular design features like exposed brick arches and a painted domed ceiling. The reception staff was exceptionally helpful when we needed to rearrange our travel plans, after we had checked out!Breakfast is served in the room as there is no central dining room. Easy access to all things Rome.

Not the typical tourist stay..
I've been to Rome many times and this time I wanted to experience a different side. This B&B is in a great location with a convenient location to a many of Rome's must see places and also off the path enough to explore a not touristy side of Rome. The bus and tram are across the street so you can easily get to the center of Rome and also to the airport and the train station. This is a wonderful old building with a beautiful courtyard and charming old style elevators to your accomodations. Aurora greeted us upon our arrival and is welcoming and also has a wealth of information. The rooms are recently remodeled, spacious and very comfortable. This is one of the nicest baths I've had in Rome. Shower is roomier than most. Memory foam mattress. Room 205 has two windows and a lovely painted ceiling. I'll stay here on the next visit!

Amazing room.
The place was amazing itself, a very old building but newly renovated. Big room with a high ceiling with stucco decorations, a tile worked fireplace, and a nice chandelier. Very very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was served in the room at your requested time every morning. The location was very good too. So many bus stops nearby and 10 minutes walk to tourist attractions. We liked the place very much and would like to go back to it again.

Fantastic Hotel!
My husband and I stayed at Arenula Suites for 5 nights and I have to say it's probably the best hotel we've stayed in! The staff were very friendly and helpful-we were taken to our room upon arrival and the important points of the room given to us (like the password for the free WiFi and access to the free minibar!). The hotel and the room we stayed in were spotlessly clean the whole time we were there, with the room being cleaned and fresh towels provided every day of our stay. There is a pickup service offered by the hotel which we utilised and would recommend it to anyone staying here as it was all organised for us (including the return trip to the airport). The hotel was about 10-15 minutes walk to most of the main tourist sights and the closest stop for the open top bus was just around the corner.

Loved Arenula Suites! The room was immaculate, the bed was unbelievably comfortable, and the service was impeccable. My only issue was that they didn't have twin beds, so my roommate and I had to share a double. Not a big deal. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend to friends.

Lovely stay at Arenula, I just hoped that our room would have been a bit bigger as we paid extra for the superior double room.

Absolutely loved our stay at Arenula Suites. I've travelled around the world and this is one of the cleanest and most peaceful hotel stays I've had. Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights and were really looked after by the staff. Breakfast is simple but lovely, with food such as croissants, toast and fruit as well as juice and coffee. The free mini bar is a plus, and we loved the complimentary pasta and sauce in our room to take back to the UK. The suites are in a really quiet area of Rome, only a 3-5 minute walk to the Pantheon & Piazza Navona, and a 10 minute walk to the Colosseum. We even walked to Castel Sant'Angelo which took around 20 minutes. We also recommend the hotels airport transfer service who picked us up straight from the airport even though our flight was early! If you're thinking of staying here, just book! You won't regret it.
