Check-in was straightforward. We met Stefano who gave us an idea of neighbourhood & what was around us. He also sent us WhatsApp messages with details of tours, places to eat etc. Some really lovely restaurants within a minutes walk.

Our stay at Town House Campo de' Fiori

We stayed at Town House for one night as a stopover in Rome enroute to New York. Francesco, the owner, met us at the apartment and was kind enough to bring our bags up to the apartment. The apartment is one room, at the same time modern and traditional, with beamed ceilings and modern accoutrements. Francesco designed the rooms himself and did a great job. There is an elevator but there is a short flight of steps in the building entryway. The bathroom was clean and modern and was well stocked with soaps, shampoo, a comb, toothbrush and so on. There were adequate towels. The shower was good and, unlike some hotel showers, did not leak all over the floor. TV was large screen with many channels but I could not find an English language station. Air conditioning was effective. The area is perfect, with the Campo de' Fiori square about a block away. One could not hear the noise of the square, however. There are many shops along the picturesque narrow, cobble-stoned street and on Sunday there was a sort of street fair with vendors selling mostly jewelry. Occasional vehicles and motorcycles crept down the street-watch out! Not far away is the Via Arenula which has some basic shopping.
We were quite satisfied with the room and would return to this location if we should come back to Rome in the future.

Don’t expect the amenities of a hotel but good

Clean, great location and a place to lay your head at night. No hotel amenities so if that’s what you’re looking for this place isn’t for you. If you’ll barely be in the room this is perfect!

This is a nice place on the 3rd floor.
It was quiet despite being on a busy street.
The location is very good.
I had a big problem with the WiFi.
To down load anything was very slow to the point that I often didn’t bother
Spoke to the desk, but didn’t notice any difference after
They offered for me to use the lobby, but in this day and age good WiFi is important in a room
They were very helpful with helping me with other things like directions and other services
If the WiFi problem was corrected I would stay there again.Nice place with 1 problem

Clean, great place to stay in the middle of Rome

It was a clean apartment in the middle of Rome with very close by attractions. Anna helped us enter the apartment after hours through the electronic verification system which was a huge plus. We also had an issue of the fuse going out but they had someone contact us and fix it right away. There was some noise in the street but with the window closed, it wasn’t that bad. The room was clean, modern and right next to the Piazza. The only item to note is that there wasn’t an iron in the room and the AC was a bit confusing to figure out at first, otherwise our stay was great!

We stayed 2 nights in Rome at this townhouse. In brief, this is not a regular hotel with staff on premise. However, Anna was responsive, helpful and available. Check in was through the Vickey app since we arrived late (after 8 PM). This was probably the most spacious room we had on our trip in Germany, Switzerland and Italy. The place is old but that is expected since it is walking distance to campo de fiori and all major attractions in the city.

Excellent location. Supermarket and restaurants near by. Half a block from Piazza Campo de Fiori. Very happy with the hotel. Anna was very helpfu; she sent us directions to get to the hotel using public transport. Also gave us information about the sites to visit and walking distance from the hotel.

Worst experience ever

Worst check in experience ever. This is NOT a hotel or guest house. This is a low rent apartment converted to rooms. Dark and dingy. Was yelled at and mistreated at check in for questioning additional city tax and asking for further information which was not stated in my confirmation emails. The young man at makeshift \"front desk\" entered our room and I had to ask him to leave immediately. Very uncomfortable and unprofessional. When I told him his behavior was unacceptable, at first he arrogantly blowed it off, until I threatened to call the police. Suddenly he quieted down. It was like talking to a misbehaved child. Something felt very weird about the whole exchange, and when I went back to the room immediately called my husband to find us a new hotel. I checked the reviews, which we should have looked at initially, and noticed a similar pattern. At first the apartment owner (father of the 30 year old young man who checked us in) refused to cancel our booking, and said his son was \"only trying to show us how to use the coffee maker\". Total lie, since he never mentioned it at all and my daughter is witness to his entering our room. Creepy experience. Thank God we were only there one night, and we're able to move to a new hotel around the corner. Honestly, hotels.com should reconsider what constitutes a hotel or \"guesthouse\" versus an apartment converted into rooms with a breakfast voucher down the street.

Entrance to the hotel was very unpleasant.... refuse bins in entrance, terrible smell when came in or left building. No reception staff on duty apart from check in for half an hour over 4 days! Room was cleaned each day and was adequate. Location was good and quite central, that’s Why I chose it but I wouldn’t stay there again.

50 feet from Campo di Fiori this is a perfect location. We walked to the Forum and all the great sights during the day and dinners in the evenings just minutes away in the Piazza Navona. We loved the fact that breakfasts are not in the hotel but vouchered at a nearby cafe. The only downside is that it is often extremely noisy given its proximity to the popular Campo.

They Make You Feel Welcome!

Cannot say enough good things about this place: location, room, staff, breakfast, all top notch. Would highly recommend you stay here. Owner gave us a map with pointers on how to get tickets without standing in the Colosseum line. You receive a breakfast voucher for the snack bar downstairs which gives you coffee, juice, croissants and sandwiches for a hearty breakfast between 7 and 11 so you can sleep in or get going early. We had 4 adults and plenty of space in the room, excellent shower with color changing lights for ambiance. Elevator worked fine for us older folks. Centrally located for touring the Colosseum, Trevi, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, and walking distance over the Ponte Vecchio to Trastevere for dining in the evening. Bus stop close by for the Borghese (which we recommend) and the best gelato near the bus stop for your enjoyment. Can't wait to return!

Great boutique hotel in great location!,

What a great location! We enjoyed the live music from Campo Dei Fiore in evening with our windows open, while we enjoyed some proseco. The staff was responsive to emails and helpful with directions. They were available for our late check in after our travel plans got messed up. We had dinner in the Piazza and loved the atmosphere and entertainment. About 20 min walking distance to the Vatican and the Colosseum. Super close to the Pantheon. The room was simple and modern, clean, exactly as described. Good wifi. Highly recommend!! The included breakfast was a voucher for a cafe down the street, which included a fresh croissant, fresh/delicious cappuccino, and juice. Enjoyed sitting at the sidewalk cafe each morning.

Nice hotel, perfect location!

Great hotel, smack in the middle of town!

This felt more like a room rental than a hotel stay. We interacted with one hotel staff member the entire time we were there during check-in. He was fantastic, gave us a nice tourist map and explained everything we needed to know about how to get places and what each spot was about. Other than that, we basically had the run of the place. It's perfect for independent travelers who don't need too much pampering.

Having said that, the cleaning staff is there every morning to fix up your room wonderfully, and if you did need to be in touch with a hotel staff member they give you their personal cell phone numbers for you to add them on whatsapp, plus they're quick to respond to emails. The hotel has strong complimentary WiFi too which was nice. The room was modern with up-to-date appliances and the bathroom had great water pressure and was also modern.

The best part is the location! It's literally in a townhouse right off the Campo de' Fiori square - walking distance to everything. The Vatican, Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Trastevere, you name it and you can walk it. We didn't take a taxi once.

I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again next time we're in Rome.

Hotel location is right off the lovely Campo De Fiori which has a daily farmers market and lots of restaurants & shopping right outside the door. It's an easy walk to all the sites in central Rome within 15-20 minutes, and there are bus & tram stops and a taxi stand nearby for those who prefer a ride. Pedestrian only street, so no traffic noise, but is is a spot for nightlife, so some noise from the people in the square does filter up to the room. The room was clean and comfortable but we had no hot water for 2 days. The manager had to do something to the boiler to fix it each time, and it didn't always work, which was frustrating. The wi-fi signal is weak- it worked for my friend but not for me in the room. The hotel is fine for those who do not require a full service staff who is there 24 hours. They are only there in the morning, and give you a number to call for emergencies. We had no problems except for the hot water, which they fixed once, but like I said, it didn't always work. Not for high maintenance types, but if you want a clean room in a happening location - it's nice.

Good home base for exploring Rome

Pretty much an ideal location for visiting Rome on our first trip to Italy. Near a major piazza, so it's easy to get directions/bus/etc. Some other reviews mentioned noise, but the double-paned windows did a great job the night we needed to turn in early. Check-in and the airport transfer the staff arranged went smoothly (we learned this is not a given in the small hotels we stayed in). Nice room with a modern vibe, if nothing fancy. Only quibbles were an overuse of some sort of fragrance (we just opened the window) and weak Wi-Fi.

Reasonable hotel at good place

all in all we have almost satisfied staing at this hotel specially at reasonable price.
we had few issues -internet wifi did not work and sink was leaking , but other than that everything was ok.there were not staff at all ,only we met one person when we checked in.
we also saw maid once and asked to pass this information about our issues,but we still lived 2 days after that with the same problems.

Lovely room but won't stay here again

We stayed at this hotel two years ago and went out of our way to stay here again. The location is amazing and the room is lovely but I wasn't happy with our stay and won't book again:

1. We had no working outlets in our room the first night so phones could not be charged. Since there was one at reception we had to wait until the next morning for power

2. The wireless internet is basically non-existent (the connection was so poor and intermittent).

3. The hotel car service we paid 50 euro for to pick us up at the airport and bring us to the hotel stopped across the bridge from the hotel - claiming that the roads near the hotel were too small to drive down. We knew this was a lie when we saw other cars on the hotel road

4. There was no secure/guarded area to store bags after the 10am checkout. The owners said to leave the bags in the hotel reception/common area but there was no one present (even though the information said reception was open 9-3pm) and while they said bags would be secure everyone who was staying there had access to our luggage if they pleased since there was no closet or locked storage area. We didn't feel like this was good enough so we had to pay to store them at a luggage storage place nearby.

It's a charming spot and I want to love it but too many negative moments this time that I can't let slide.

Great little place to stay just near Campo di Fior

I came with my teenage son for two nights. Town House did the job perfectly as easy location to get to lots of places. It was initially a disappointment as the room had a tiny window looking at an air conditioning unit. But actually it was peaceful at night and good value and we didn't spend a lot of time there in the day. We were given a voucher for breakfast in a nearby cafe, which was fun. Service was really friendly at Town House and they couldn't have been more helpful. I would go back, but ask for a different room.

Wonderful location!

The location is perfect! Close to the river, centrally located between Vatican City and the Colosseum. A square with a daily market is just steps from the townhouse and shops, restaurants, churches are all around.
The free breakfast that you get from a nearby snack bar is delicious. It includes a large croissant, coffee or tea, and orange juice. They also have several other foods available for purchase.
Everything was excellent except for the wifi, it worked occasionally and wasn't strong.

Beware you need to know area and phone access

We would not stay again as this is over a mile away from the hotel it's associated with, hence there is no one to communicate with when help is needed such as the front door key to the building that we were not given when checking in. We were told we had all the keys and found out late at night we couldn't get in. This annex building is closer to the Vatican not by the main address. We stayed in other annex buildings while in Italy however never were they inaccessible to on duty staff. I had been notified by the owner that it was not in the hotel itself but never informed it was in another completely different part of town. I felt she should of communicated this more clearly and restated it 24 to 48 hours prior to arriving as she mentioned 2 hours before our arriving when we had no access to our emails, this was unsatisfactory as we had been communicating off and on the 24 to 48 hours prior and this. This would have saved us 3 hours of seeing Rome instead of hiring another taxi to get us to the other address.

Gem in campo di fiori neighborhood

What a fantastic find! The hotel was a little difficult to get to from the airport, but well worth it. The rooms are very cozy, with really nice bathrooms, comfortable beds, and breakfast service delivered to the room. The room has great air-conditioning and was surprisingly quiet considering how busy the neighborhood can be. Central location to anything you might want to see in Rome, and tons of good restaurants and shopping nearby. We would definitely stay there again. Better for couples, not ideal for families.

I stay here for 4 days and I couldn't tell you how sweet the staff is. Very welcoming and humble. Made me feel like home!
The room was extremely clean. They were recently renovated and the bathrooms were beautiful and comfortable. A bit difficult to regulate the water while taking a shower. We adjusted...
Air conditioning was perfect, close to all attractions, breakfast was light and nice. Great selection as well. I would most definitely stay there again. I'm looking at going back again next month.

I stayed here for 3 nights and we absolutely loved it here, you really do get the proper Italian feeling by staying in the nice narrow streets. So many restaurants/bars around you and cheap as well!! Drinks rate from (beer) €3-€6 and i had cocktails for €5 in a small nice bar right outside the townhouse which was good. Lovely staff and a reasonable breakfast in the morning which they delivered to your door at the time you choose on the day before. Loved it here, if we ever come to Rome again will definetly stay here. No faults whats so ever.

Very good location and rates.

Georgia was the receptionist who met us. She was very informative and helpful in arranging for a car pick- up when we depart.
Breakfast was adequate but cappuccino could have been hotter.
It was easy to walk to different areas of the city but cabbing it was our choice because of th extreme heat at this time.
It would be helpful to have a restroom in the reception area when one can not avail of his/ her room any more.

Funky little townhouse in a perfect location

This is a great little townhouse with very few rooms but in a fantastic location. The rooms were spacious with a big wetroom en-suite. The local area is buzzing at night but you can shut out the noise easily when necessary. Would happily go back. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Note: there are no food or drink services and no kitchenette in room. This is not a problem as the neighbouring square is surrounded by pavement restuarants and has a seemingly constant central market.

Awesome Experience!

We were a family of four and had a king size bed and a double bed in the room. It was spacious enough and we loved the area. Room was very clean and they had plenty of towels, soaps, and little bags full of toiletries for you. The wi-fi worked perfectly too. The only thing we would have liked a little better is softer beds. If you like a firm bed you will love it but we prefer a little softer. Other than that it was a perfect place for us just down the street from the Campo de Fiori area.

When in Rome...stay here.

Maria & her staff were very accommodating & made us feel welcome. The location near the Spanish Steps was excellent. The bed was very comfortable, we had more than enough room and it was nice having a little kitchen. Maid service was excellent, there was a bit of mold in the shower in a tiny bathroom that needs renovation. Nonetheless, it was very reasonable for Rome. We well return.

I booked a room at this hotel and was put into their \"annex\" - the Spanish Steps Suites. The room I was given bore absolutely no resemblance to the photos on the web page. It has no discernible connection to the main hotel - I'm not even sure where the hotel is in relation to the annex. The room has no soundproofing whatsoever, so you can hear everything your neighbours say - in another room on the same floor and in the room directly above. On the plus side, the location was excellent, as was the shower (surprisingly, given the age of the building and state of the rest of the plumbing). The room was also properly serviced, but if you're looking for any kind of \"hotel experience\", then this isn't the place for you.

3 night stay in Pompei

Wonderful B&B in Pompei. The owners Lena & Antonio are absolutely the best. A
very charming and well kept house close to the ruins and train station. If you are here just to see the ruins this place is great. If you are here for longer, you almost need a car. We took the train from Rome to Naples, then transferred to the Circumvesvuvia line. The station (Pompei Scavi) is across a small street from entrance to the ruins. Fairly short walk got us to the hotel. Only problem is that restaurants in the area are only open for lunch,
so if you want more than pizza for dinner you need to either walk 2 miles each way or take a very expensive cab. Other then that, I couldn't recommend
this place enough.

Anna Marie was extremely helpful. She was very willing to help us by printing our plane boarding tickets in a very prompt manner. The room was clean and had what we needed. We spent very little time in room as we were walking around the city. We felt safe there but did noticed semi noisy street at night . We would definitely recommend this hotel .

Nice Flat, very good location

Very nice place in a nice historical building. Perfect if you want to have elements of comfort of a hotel (daily room service) and at the same time feel indepent like renting a flat without the formal setting of a hotel.

Great location

This town house was in the perfect location. It was spotless and we could come and go as we pleased. Ann Marie the receptionist was super helpful and even gave us her mobile number in case we ever needed her. The location was perfect, walking distance to all tourist attractions. Perfect location and lovely accommodation with beautiful room. Would definitely stay here again.

Confortable room. 2 Queen beds an extra one in a sofa. We didn't spend much time in the room, but for 2 ad and 2 kids it had plenty of room.
There's a kitchenette and a small fridge. Table for breakfast and cutlery.
Vaticano- Piazza Nabona-Pantheon- all at walking distance (15min or less)
Fontana di Trevi was on maintenance the same as Piazza Spagna...both Are also at walking distance.
An Express Carrefour 250 mts from the apartament.
Colliseum at 20-30min walk.
There's a bus stop in front of the apartament but we never use it. We like to walk.

Great location and service!

We had the best experience at this cute little place. We stayed 2 nights here and everything was perfect from the location to the friendly staff. The place is a little hard to find and you have to ring the buzzer at the main door for them to let you in otherwise you won't know how to find it! But once you do, the staff's friendliness just makes you feel at ease. We got recommendations for places to see as well as places to eat. Giacomo, the owner recommended this great restaurant to us and said he himself dines there at least twice a week and that they have the best Carbonara! When we went there for dinner our second night, he was there indeed! His recommendation was spot on - the best Carbonara and he even treated us to dessert! That was really nice of him! The hotel is located near the Campo de Fiori square, where there's a market every day. Piazza Navona is a few blocks away and so is the Pantheon. Everywhere is so convenient to get to from this place - all walkable distance. Once you check out they are willing to keep your bags and can also arrange airport transportation if needs be. The room is simple but clean and really all you need for a comfortable stay. I highly recommend it!

Room was spacious, clean and well styled, with a location ideal for sight-seeing. The owner couldn't have been more welcoming. Campo di Fiori at night is more geared to the 20 - something's but there are plenty of nearby alternatives, and a short walk will take you to charming Trastevere.

Room at the back was dark with a tiny window. Condition of the room/bathroom ok. You are definitely paying for the location which is just off a bustling square with a market and lots of bars/restaurants within easy walking distance of all major attractions. Anna was very helpful with booking cabs and giving us her number should we need any help. We were able to leave our bags on the last day until we left. If you can get a deal and want location as priority then this is a good option.

We went in the day before our cruise. The hotel arranged for pickup at FCO for a fee, but the shuttle to the ship was free. We went to a restaurant recommended by the hotel and were very pleased. Everyone was very friendly and it was nice after a long flight.

Great place, very central with lots of character

The hotel is in such a great location. All the major sights are within a 25 minute walk! The Campo di' Fiori Piazza is busy at all times of the day and night which makes for a great atmosphere in the area. The restaurants and bars nearby are also good fun.

We found the hotel great - it was everything we were after. We were able to come and go as we pleased and because it's not a conventional hotel with a manned reception desk, it felt a bit like it was our own house. Paulo came to meet us the night we checked in and was absolutely lovely. He explained how the breakfast worked, times the cleaner would be in and gave us tips and suggestions on good places to go and eat. He said that we were guests in his city and he wanted us to have the best time and not to go to the tourist traps because they were a rip off. His suggestions were great and took us to different corners of Rome that we wouldn't have gone to otherwise. He really made us feel welcome and gave us his number if we needed anything else and then just left us to it. I don't think this approach is what everyone is after but it was great for us.

The breakfast is at a little cafe round the corner from the hotel. You get a voucher for breakfast in the morning which gives you a croissant or danish pastry, small orange juice and a coffee. If you want anything else, you need to pay for it, but there is a market right there which sells bits and pieces if you are still hungry.

Perfect for the Independent Tourist/Traveller

All in all, the Town House Campo de' Fiori ticks all the boxes. It does not purport to be a traditional hotel (and therefore lacks a bar or dining area) but as a competitively-priced B&B it can hardly be faulted. The location is absolutely superb, the breakfast is at a charming, quintessentially Roman cafe around the corner, and the room (Double Superior) was very comfortable.

Rome is hardly the place for lounging around inside, and this hotel is the perfect jumping-off point for all the sights (Vatican, Ancient Rome, Piazza Navona, Via del Corso et al.). All contact with the management took place at the start (including all instructions for breakfast, TV, air con). Some reviews suggest that the management lacked attentiveness, but they were extremely welcoming and set us up for our whole stay.

One point of note is that we had both experienced Rome before (although without speaking much Italian), so this may suit more experienced travellers. Great hotel, great price. Enough said.

The best location!!!

I have never stayed in a Bed and Breakfast type of hotel before and because of the extraordinary location of this hotel, I decided to give it a try. I couldn't have made a better decision. The service in the hotel is EXCELLENT!.. The owner will be waiting for you at your arrival, he is very welcoming and will give a really good map of the city for free and a lot of tips to make your stay easier. This place occupies the entire floor of a 5 or 6 story building. There are only 4 or 5 rooms in that floor. The rooms are very clean, modern, with a comfortable bed, a flat screen TV and a clean bathroom. My room was overlooking the street and we could see Campo dei Fiori from our window. The owner will give you a key for your room, the apartment and the main building door. After that you are on your own, there is no permanent staff in the hotel, it's like having your own apartment in Rome for a few days, but they still clean your room every day, make the bed, clean the bathroom, give you new towels, etc. It was great !!! They also give you a voucher to have breakfast in a cafe on Campo de' Fiori every morning. That was phenomenal so you don't have to eat the typical continental breakfast of every hotel.
I really recommend this \"hotel\" if you want to stay in a very nice and affordable place that is close to everything and be out experiencing Rome. It is probably not the kind of place for people looking to get pamper in a hotel with all kind of services.

La localisation est excellente à distance de marche des principaux attraits touristiques de Rome. Nous y avons séjourné du 19 au 27 juillet 2019.
Le quarier est bruyant le soir et en début de nuit, si vous occupez une des chambres donnant sur la rue munissez vous de bouchons d'oreille.
La chambre donnant sur la cour arrière est beaucoup plus tranquille.
Personnel acceillant et gentil se sont occupés de nos tranports depuis et vers l'aéroport, très pratique au même tarif qu'un taxi...

Muy bien ubicado, cerca de todo. Muy limpio y el personal amable. Había alguna carencia como que la ducha no funcionaba muy bien y la ventana del baño no se podía abrir. La de la habitación tampoco estaba bien y se podía acceder a ella a través de una terraza abierta por lo que teníamos que dejar la persiana bajada.
