I really wanted to give Chapter Roma a great review because the hotel itself is very cool, but we had some major issues that made our 5-night stay really stressful.
First, the room we were given looked nothing like the photos on Expedia or the website. It was significantly smaller and felt like a bait-and-switch for the price we paid. On top of that, the shower rod fell on us the first day, and the bathroom flooded every single time we showered for the entire trip. Even after they \"fixed\" it twice, the water kept going everywhere.
The worst part, though, was our checkout. The hotel called a taxi for us to the airport, and the driver tried to scam us. He demanded €65 instead of the legal €55 flat rate and actually refused to let us out of the car until we paid the higher amount. It was honestly a scary situation to be held in a vehicle like that.
While the management has been very apologetic via email and is investigating the driver, the combination of the room misrepresentation and the safety issue with the taxi made this a really disappointing experience.

The staff was above and beyond amazing. They really made the hotel a wonderful place to stay. Every single person that worked there was kind helpful and hospitable. We were completely spoiled. And appreciate all of them.
The rooms were very nice. We were happy. There was some noise in the alley at night, but it didn’t bother us.
We would stay here again.

Amazing stay at Hotel Chapter Roma. They upgraded us to a better room upon arrival, brought our luggage up to the room, the staff brought us personally to the room to show us its features and then came with two glasses of Prosecco and a personal welcome note. The staff were friendly throughout the entire stay, the rooms are very spacious and clean. The location is great. And the overall atmosphere of the hotel is amazing. Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Rome.

I have stayed at Chapter Roma four times now, and the reason I always come back is the insanely attentive staff that take a chic hotel and make it wow.

My friends and I felt super at home, and were brilliantly taken care of. From restaurant recommendations and help booking, to drinks magically appearing… it really was great to be back!

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Staff were great and organized restaurants and taxi to airport and made recommendations. We stayed for two nights and came back again at the end of our trip. They allowed us to store extra bags and had them in the room waiting for us when we returned. Good location to near Trastevere for restaurants and about 20 mins from Trevi Fountain and Pantheon

Chapter Roma is a beautifully design hotel located walking distance from Rome’s main attractions. The staff is superb, very knowledgeable and friendly always trying to help. Great hospitality. The reason why I am giving them 3 stars is because we weren’t able to sleep well and woke up ver achy every morning. The beds are extremely hard and the pillows are pretty bad as well. The bed comforter is super thin and the room was pretty cold in the middle of the night, what is sad because the room size was great and as I mentioned the staff was superb.

I can’t say enough great things about this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the service was flawless—warm, personal, and genuinely heartfelt. I couldn’t single out one staff member by name because every person I encountered went out of their way to make my stay exceptional. The hotel itself is beautiful—stylish without feeling pretentious—and its location is perfect, close to everything yet tucked into a neighborhood that still feels authentically Roman. Wonderful boutique hotel with great service

A really nice boutique hotel! Modern yet fitting for the surrounding history of an old city. The welcoming of the staff, especially Sophia, was wonderful. The rooms are good size and the showers were really nice. The lobby bar and the adjoining coffee shop were perfect for starting and ending the day and the rooftop bar was amazing....love the bar staff! A couple of recommendations: brighter lighting in the bathroom, a clothes steamer in the room, a blanket for the bed. The only issue I had wasn't the fault of the hotel, my room faced an alley and it could get quite noisy with garbage pick up in early mornings. Overall, would recommend and would stay here again. Thank you!

This hotel is in an amazing location. The staff are extremely nice and the roof top bar has stunning views of the city. The bed is comfortable but the room was lacking in many other ways. It feels a bit old a dirty. I stepped on someone else’s toenail and it stick to the bottom of my foot. The hot water is warm at best and goes in and out while you shower.

Chapter Roma is situated in a perfect neighborhood that is close to everything, yet the beautiful little side street it’s on is quiet and safe. The room was elegantly decorated with a huge window that opens into the quiet street. The rooftop bar has incredible views, but perhaps the best thing about this hotel is its employees. They were all so welcoming and kind. We will most certainly be back and we will recommend Chapter Roma to all of our friends.

We spent 2 nights at Chapter Roma. Having been to Rome several times previously, we wanted a location where we could easily explore neighborhoods and varied dining options. Chapter Roma delivered on location - easy access to public transport, walking distance to Piazza Navona, Campo d’Fiore and Trastevere.

Rooms are on the small side, so would recommend upgrading if you value space. They are design forward and fixtures/finishes and furnishings are contemporary - a nice juxtaposition to the 19th century bones. Bathroom does not have a fan, so fogs up quickly. However, water pressure is strong and it’s well stocked with amenities. Lighting could also be better especially for makeup.

Staff is very friendly and front desk is 24/7. They speak English extremely well, and were responsive to our requests (hairdryer wasn’t working and a new one was delivered right away).

Breakfast is an eclectic mix but there’s something for every dietary need. You can also order from menu. Coffee is delicious.

Room systems like TV and lighting switches (turning on/off and dimming) could be simplified. There are instructions on using the TV to avoid an on screen message, but it’s not intuitive. Door and room electricity work off of skeleton keys (charming but awkward as the two keys are on the same key chain…and door does not lock automatically).

Chapter Roma is great for location, design oriented travelers.

We loved our stay at Hotel Chapter Roma! The hotel has such a cool, modern vibe, but what truly made it special was the amazing team. From the moment we walked through the door, everyone — from the front desk to the concierge — was incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming.

A special shoutout to Gianmarco, who was at the desk both when we checked in and when we checked out. On our first day, after a long tour of the Colosseum, I took a spill on the sidewalk and hyperextended my fingers. Gianmarco immediately got me a bag of ice and pointed me in the direction of a nearby pharmacy for some pain releif. He even checked in on me a bit later to see how I was doing. His kindness and attentiveness turned a rough moment into a much more manageable one, and we were so grateful for his genuine care.

The hotel location is perfect, just a short walk to Trastevere, our favorite part of Rome for its excellent cafés, shops, and restaurants. We can’t recommend Hotel Chapter Roma highly enough and will absolutely stay here again the next time we visit the Eternal City.

The location of this hotel was excellent, the room itself was very clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming however for the price we paid, we expected something a bit more high-end; so for us, it wasn’t good value for money. The communal areas and bars within the hotel didn’t live up to the photos and the room layout was a little strange in the sense that the shower was separate from the bathroom which made getting ready a bit inconvenient. Our airline cancelled our original flight which meant we lost out on the first night’s accommodation. Completely respect the hotel’s cancellation policy in that we were not entitled to a refund for this night, however we thought the hotel might at least offer one free drink/coffee each as a courtesy, they didn’t offer anything.

We had such a great time staying at Hotel Chapter Roma! The staff were absolute rockstars, super helpful and lightning-fast with their responses. The location was perfect for wandering around the city and soaking up all the vibes. Plus, their restaurant recommendations were spot on!

The only tiny hiccup was the building itself since it’s a charming old heritage spot and the soundproofing between rooms and floors wasn’t quite perfect. But no worries! I asked to switch rooms and the front desk team jumped on it immediately, hooking me up with a much better room. Big thanks to them for that!

All in all, I would totally recommend this place to my friends and can’t wait to stay here again on my next trip. Chapter Roma, you rock! 🎉

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at this lovely hotel in Rome. The room was spacious and thoughtfully laid out, with a separate area featuring a stylish bar cart and a cozy trundle bed for our daughter—perfect for families. While a bit more closet space would have been ideal, the overall comfort and design made up for it. The shower felt luxurious, and the location was fantastic—just a short walk to the historic Jewish Quarter and many other key sights. A great blend of convenience, comfort, and Roman charm.

The room was very small but on top of that the furnitures were weird - there was no place to sit or even a small desk, but there was a huge hanger no very useful in the entrance. There should have been a table with a chair or a small armchair. Also, the lights controls that look like amplifier knobs are cool but are barely functional for dimming or just opening/closing lights.

The roof top bar is nice but for god sake have the place serve italian food/snack - you're in the middle of the best food place on earth, not the place to try so so ''mexican food''.
