The pictures shown on the hotel site gives you expectations of the hotel being close to the beach - but those pictures showing pools etc are for the residence NOT the hotel itself. It’s a long walk from the hotel through the gardens to the road and beach.
Hotel is in need of a little modernisation and upgrade, but overall reasonable value for money. Primarily the hotel is 80% Russian guests. We never used the restaurants at the hotel, except breakfast which was good.
Overall, probably wouldn’t stay again.

This hotel is clean and has a lovely setting with beautiful grounds. But it is a ways from the beach so be aware of where you select your room as it’s not beachfront. Having said that, it isn’t a far walk to the beach. We did find the lobby and bar area very hot as there were no ceiling fans or air conditioning as it is completely open. We were there in February though when it is starting to warm up. There are many bars and restaurants close by which makes it convenient.

Two main problems.
1. The sea shore is across the street and you have to rent umbrellas and chairs separately.
The hotel itself and the rooms are looked little bit old. With renovation it will be a wonderfull resort

Beautiful ocean view and amazing sunsets from our room- Like we’ve never seen!! They also gave me some cake for my birthday and the room service was very fast and excellent food! The lobby could use some updating but everything else was perfect and the rooms were great and clean and large new bathrooms with large TV and comfy beds and refrigerators in the room. Definitely recommend!!

We stayed in a room closer to the lobby, which was very convenient for pool access and breakfast access. Also very close to the main road to walk around
The pool was beautiful! The breakfast options were great. Expect to have the same things daily, with little change, but overall good food and pleasant atmosphere.
Pool bar was nice, resort was very clean. I've seen people complain about construction- you can't even tell/notice! Was not a worry.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I've seen complaints from others and I'm really not sure what there is to complain about. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone traveling to Phuket.
Very family friendly as well, about a 5 minite walk to the beach which is fairly crowded but I wouldn't expect anything else at a destination like this!

The territory of the hotel is large and lush. The service and the staff is great. I think it used to be a grand hotel but now it's ran down and require repairs. Villas needed renovation like 10 years ago. Constant plumbing issues and bad water smell.

I'd only recommend staying in the residence - which is a newly built and fenced are of the hotel.

It’s a beautiful resort. Loved loved loved the location. Walking distance to all the great shops and restaurants. That was the best thing about the resort for me. Staff was either hit or miss. Some were very nice with great service, some were not tbh. Food was good, but if you go to the restaurants on site, order Thai dishes. They’re delicious! This part comes down to a preference, but I wasn’t traveling with family/children. I would’ve loved if they had some activities for adults to do (bingo, karaoke, etc). That’s why it’s wonderful it’s centrally located b/c there wasn’t much to do on the resort itself. If I do go back to that part of the world, I wouldn’t stay there again. I would pick somewhere that had a bit more entertainment for adults, especially during the holidays.

Paradox Resort Phuket was on the whole very good.
Quiet, calm and peaceful - you would not have believed it had a busy, bustling road at both the hill-side and sea-side entrances.
Breakfast was exceptional; though despite signs, too many guests were covering tables with food and leaving most of it; such greed and waste - I would encourage the hotel to create some form of incentive for guests not to be so willfully wasteful.
Similarly, signs everywhere around the pool areas telling guests they should not try to reserve the sunbeds / recliners with their towels were ignored - 50% had towels on before breakfast; might suggest Pool Staff remove these and towels left on beds during the day for more than an hour?
Unfortunately, communication prior to arrival was poor.
We sent an e-mail informing our letting late check-in and asking about airport transfers. We also wanted to book the Spa and Yoga. On enquiring about this through the Expedia gateway, the hotel reply asked us to send us our e-mail address - which we did (thinking will they be able to see this?). They responded saying we needed to send an e-mail to their (blacked out) e-mail address. They didn't even acknowledge the late check-in...
We didn't do Yoga and no-one offered it on arrival despite the enquiry. And we ended up using a brilliant spa 2 mins walk from the hotel at 1/3 of the price. We privately arranged (and recommend) a rapid airport arrival package inc hotel transfer and were whisked through in 15 minutes...

The resort is located across the beach and has all the amenities one can think of. The staff are friendly barring one or two buggy drivers who are burnt out driving around. Tony from Cafe Studio was brilliant!! They seem under staffed with the breakfast volume and one chef apparently so food takes a while at times to get to the table. Anan at reception was very courteous and I wish I took all the other names but they were all brilliant! The security staff manning the residences were very helpful and the pool staff too. I cannot fault the service in any way. Clearly the HR and training department is doing a good job with getting the right staff. The only glitch is that the hotel is not wheelchair friendly. Many steps to climb and we had to carry the wheelchair up. If your audience is not the disabled, then you have to mention it on booking platforms. My shoulders are in pain carrying the wheelchair up and down steps.

This is my first time ever reviewing a hotel I’ve stayed and let me tell you.. this resort is GORGEOUS! The scenery is beautiful there’s actually things to do at the resort! and not to mention my room was a 5 min walk to the beach! I went for my birthday and I’m soo glad i chose this resort! My room was spacious. I enjoyed a large bathtub as well as pool to relax! The staff are incredible super friendly and greeted and helped me immediately upon arrival. I can’t wait to return to Thailand and when i do this will forever be the resort i stay at! Don’t hesitate to book!

The whole property was very well kept. Acres of gardens were well maintained. All the staff were very busy all the time keeping the grounds neat and tidy. The breakfast staff were excellent remembering your coffee and tea orders every morning. They were always polite and helpful as were all the staff at the Resort. Nothing was too much trouble. My stay at Paradox in Phuket was extremely disappointing. The room was dirty, the beds were uncomfortable and clearly not properly cleaned, and the overall condition of the facilities was old and poorly maintained. Everything felt worn down and unkept. The hotel is definitely not what it looks like in the photos.

The only positive thing I can mention is the hotel staff — they were friendly and tried their best to help. But sadly, that’s not enough to make up for how dirty, outdated, and uncomfortable everything else was.

Would not recommend staying here. It’s far from a proper resort experience.

Tired facilities in need of restoration investment. Drive up area to lobby has a collapsed roof - no longer in use but no repair work in sight.

Beach side villas very nice and ours was well maintained.

Staff are very nice and helpful but not enough are trained for 5 star service - e.g poolside staff don’t bother walking around to take orders, despite that being their job, you have to go to the bar to order.

Good location and Karon is pretty family friendly.

One of our group got food poisoning from eating at the hotel restaurant, Mint. Need to be vigilant in Thailand in general re food hygiene.

Both myself and Dad had stayed at this hotel. It is by far the best hotel we have stayed in. Its exactly what you see in the pictures pure paradise. We had booked the twin sea view and what a view it is. The grounds of the hotel is stunning and very well kept.
The staff is what makes the stay so special they are so friendly and very helpful.
We both are from Belfast Northern Ireland uk and we definitely be back.

The grounds are absolutely beautiful and customer service is excellent. My 20 year old daughter and I stayed in early June during the “low-season”, so there weren’t too many guests. This helped keep the atmosphere quiet and enjoyable. When we did go out to town or on a tour, it was easy to order a Grab. Upon our return, the room was clean, towels were replaced, and the beds were perfectly made. We felt safe during our stay and would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful resort, very relaxing and peaceful. I stay in the garden villa for 7 nights and I must say it was nothing but amazing. The room was very clean and specious. I love the plunge pool. The resort is in a great location, surrounded by many restaurants and shopping. The breakfast buffet was delicious with many food options. The staff was very welcoming and went beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. The spa service was wonderful. I definitely would stay here again.

Tout est très bien entretenu il n’y a rien à redire … mais les chambres avec petite piscine ( très petite , taille jacuzzi ) auraient besoin d’un coup de jeune et de moderne au niveau déco ! En Suisse on ne parlerait pas d’un 5 étoiles … sinon les fumeurs ne peuvent fumer que dans certaines zones … incompréhensible car c’est en plein air et à deux mètres près tu fumes ou pas !!!!

We were looked after from start to finish, all the staff were so helpful.
The room was spacious, well equipped, very comfortable beds. Having your own little plunge pool gives you extra privacy from the main pools.

I will say we had a lovely stay, but would agree with other reviews that I wouldn’t call it 5 star. We didn’t have hot water when we arrived but it was quickly rectified once reported. We also had a decent leak come through the ceiling after a heavy rain which was also quickly rectified. Check-in was fantastic, the resort is lovely and the staff are very kind.

An amazing and relaxing time at Paradox. Clean, tidy and neat rooms with one of the most comfy beds I’ve ever slept in. Great views of the pool and sea from the room and massive balcony.

Grounds are huge and well cared for, the pool area, restaurants and cafe are all well staffed, very clean and the food and cocktails are amazing. Happy hour by the pool each day is always popular. Studio cafe had just reopened during my stay and opted for their healthy breakfast which was great.

It’s a few minutes walk to the beach, multiple markets and great restaurants.

Many 7/11’s in the area for anything that you might need. Otherwise the resort menu, room service options have such a great variety.

It was a most relaxing and memorable stay.

This was a great hotel , it’s under construction but didn’t affect us much during our stay. The location is great for walking to the beach and to town. We rented scooters across the street for like $9 US dollars a day and had the best time! The pool was refreshing with the swim up bar. We had a basic king room but it was close to the lobby and the pool and was very spacious. The hotel was full so we couldn’t upgrade but tbh this room was perfect for us. We definitely would stay again. Oh try the pumpkin with Thai custard dessert it’s delicious

My review is for a seaview room in the main building. Possibly the best compliment for a business is returning. It's the 3rd time I've stayed here and second under the Paradox brand. Always pleasant having sunset drinks on the balcony. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room is spacious and well appointed. Relaxed breakfast...get up early and go for a beach front walk then beat the crowds to breakfast. Easy walk to external dining options and entertainment. Thx Paradox staff and see you again soon 😊🙂

Karon beach is an amazing place. Paradox does an amzing job histing you while you are there as a guest. Friendly staff that is always helpful!!!! we have been two years in a row and qill definitely go back.

Great breakfast

Very large resort with mainly Russian clientele.
Room with plunge pool was highlight for me and this allowed us to kick back and relax. Three swimming pools nearby but temperature of water was very warm especially the main pool.

Breakfast was excellent with so much choice. Especially liked the fresh juice bar.

A 5 minute walk across the road took you to karon beach but this was too crowded for me
