we booked this hotel because of the spa, unfortunately there no spa in this hotel at the moment and the stuff is not sure when there will be
there are no dairy products in breakfast other than butter and yogurt which we find very poor

We booked a standard room but up graded to a pool swim up room which was great. I noticed there wasnt as lot of chairs around the pool so i was glad we got the upgrade.Room was clean and had everything you needed.staff were also friendly

3rd stay at Woraburi we love the location and love the pool access room. Pool is clean and great for relaxing in.Happy hour is great and pool staff are always attentive. Only complaint is Mattresses and pillows definitely need replacing and are uncomfortable. See you next year Woraburi

Place is old ( but tired ) but who spends time in their room on holiday ! Would recommend if you are in a budget and like beach. Indian restaurant around Corner was fab. Massage places and shops close . Enjoyed my stay thank you 🙏

Great place to stay on Karon Beach which is just across the road. Walking distance to the Karon roundabout for bars and restaurants. Close to eateries and markets. Staff very friendly. Property dated but comfortable after recovering from Covid and lack of visitors. Hopefully will be restored and fully open (kids play area, bar, pool tables etc) when visitors return. We have booked again for next year.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Woraburi Resort. The room was nice, but there was a drawback. Our room was on the fifth floor, and the elevator only goes to the fourth floor. That means stairs every time you want to go someplace or to your room. The pool is an interesting shape (and basically 3 1/2 feet deep throughout), but it has not been well-maintained. Many tiles are missing or loose, leaving holes where the tiles should have been, and it doesn't appear that the tiles were ever grouted properly in the first place. The pool needs to be drained and re-tiled before being refilled. The restaurant is just OK, but there are several other restaurants within easy walking distance, so there is no problem. The breakfast buffet is a mix of Western and Asian. The first three days we stayed there, the housekeeper created towel animals (elephants, swans and turtles) on our beds, which delighted our daughter, but then they stopped making them, which disappointed her. If the creations had continued, she would have been totally delighted. The Resort has very easy access to the beach (just across the road). The beach chairs with umbrellas must be rented. There were plenty of good tours, and the tour desk was very helpful. I recommend the Fantasea Show, the island speedboat tours and the tour with the Big Buddha, baby elephant and baby tigers.

The property itself is a complete let-down. Photos don't tell the true story about this property, as the pool as chipped, cracked and completely gone tiles throughout, which you'll stub your toe on or hurt yourself on completely. The whole property has been going through a repaint but someone ran out of paint so half of it still looks old and weathered. Needs some serious TLC. Will provide photos as well. Please know that when you do book a room, they will put you in the smallest darkest room of all, you need to complain to them and they will move you. When they do, check the shower temperature, we dealt with freezing cold showers for two days until one day a leech came out of the shower head (not to forget that everytime you turn the shower on, it spurts brown mucky water first) then we complained about the temperature of the shower, they tended to have fixed this - but it wasn't a long term fix at all.

The property is in a great area and offers swim-out rooms, unfortunately instead of capitalizing on those strengths it has suffered under what can only be mismanagement. It is rundown, moldy, and infested with mosquitoes. Mosquitoes aren't 100% avoidable in tropical areas, obviously, however this place was infested. There were dead mosquitoes smashed on the walls of our room; there was trash outside in our balcony area on check-in; there were pool tiles missing on the steps from our room in to the pool (which could seriously cut someone); our room smelled of mold (much stronger than musty/mildew) and there was visible mold in the bathroom. I was in room 102 less than ten minutes and already my throat was scratchy and my eyes were watery. To address, management offered to move us a room over, however if you know anything about mold and reactions, moving one room over will not suffice. They sprayed for mosquitoes to address that issue, but the spray caused a terrible headache. I promptly found another place - a beautiful resort just doors down and for $50 less a day (and, bonus, no mosquitoes) - and I checked out. Unfortunately, our room was prepaid and there was no refund from this property and none from Expedia either. This is the only time I've ever had such a bad experience at a hotel that I felt compelled to leave a review to warn others. Stay anywhere else! Be weary of places that require prepayment. Expedia will not refund, no matter the severity.

We had a nice stay however this resort does need a lot of work. The pool has tiles missing, the spa was out of order, the gym does not have working equipment along with other things eg pool table only one out of 3 worked and table tennis had no bats and balls, One of the lovely staff went and purchased bats and balls so it could be used. Unsure about the bottled water left in room as some days we were charged and other days we weren’t and the others we went with said they were never charged at one stage I had 6 bottles and was still getting charged, on check out they tried to charge us for a missing tea spoon my guess is it would have been sent to kitchen as we had rooms next to each other and lots of room service around the pool, which was nice. We had no hot water but they fixed that when asked. If you can overlook all these things, which we did, it’s a nice place. Definitely get a room with pool access.

To the left side of the hotel was a flooded area that looked and smelled like sewage with a 10’ high pile of garbage . I also got food poisoning from the hotel . The beds are very hard and uncomfortable. Staff was very nice but the smells from the area and the food poisoning just killed the trip for me . It was also over priced .

This is an old tired property, broken tiles in the swimming pool, spa was under \" renovation\", hotel lobby the ceiling falling, in general Woraburi needs a facelift. The front desk staff was doing the best they could but could not fulfill all obligations promised by the web site, food service staff very good as was the bell staff. One exceptional employee was Kate at the off site booking desk for tours, she went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed for our tours and always had a smile.

We had a great time at the Woraburi. The staff and the location are second to none. The hotel itself is in need of refurbishment. The plumbing is average at best and pool needs some attention but these are things that can be overlooked easily if you are not a fussy person. The location is safe for families and has just enough nightlife to keep parents satisfied and more than enough entertainment for the kids. The only thing we found a bit confronting coming from a western country was the amount of Russian tourists who’s culture is at polar opposites to our own and the Thai. That’s not a bad thing but something we personally struggled with.

The staff at the hotel were mostly friendly and ready to help you with things. The hotel itself could use upkeep, there were lots of places that either the lights didn't work, or that it looked rundown, the towels should be replaced with new ones as some were stained and looking more like rags. Under our bed it looked that it hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. If they put more attention to some cosmetics the place could be rated higher.

The hotel's location is ideal. Right in front of the beach. Staff are really nice and they try their best to make it a pleasant stay. However, the water from the tub in our room kept coming out super yellow, my husband says is the minerals but in my opinion that was waaaayyy to yellow to only be minerals. Either way they couldn't fix it but they try very hard to do so. But what annoyed me is that they didn't even tried to change us to another room. But again my husband said that we would have the same problem in the other rooms. So beware of the water. The shower water was fine though. So who knows.
Everyone was really nice though! And the pool is nice too.

We found the Wow in Bangkok!

We needed to fi Bisho outrip with a bang.
Location was near the international airport so it as thepeerfectlast day .
Check it is midday so a lovely sleepin beore flyig was wonderful .
Complimentary shuttle to and from airport is a wonderful bonus.
They were and exceptional experience.
The staff bend over bakwards to assist and make the stay perfect.
Te grounds and general structures are magnificent . We will come here again.

The hotel itself was amazing, close to the beach, wonderful setup and very relaxing. However, the shower had little to no hot water or pressure which made showering very unpleasant. Most of the staff were nice and were happy to help, however, some gave us wrong information and almost cost us missing out on our flight if some nice taxi driver did not offer to take us in a hurry. Some of the staff were even unsure what information we had been told because they had never heard it before. Moreover, after visiting Phuket we decided a hotel in patong would have allowed us to do a lot more as it was closer to everything

Very nice and clean hotel. It is at a good location, across from the beach and next to stores to shop and eat. We booked the room with pool access and it was wonderful and very convenient. All staff is very friendly. Goi at the front desk was awesome she took care of us and made us feel at home. Room was pretty big, very relax environment and would recommend others to stay here.

Lovely hotel, close to everything

I stayed at the Woraburi for 15 nights and couldn't recommend it highly enough. Location is great - across the road from Karon beach and walking distance to restaurants, bars and shopping. A zillion Tuk Tuks and/or taxis are outside to take you to Patong or anywhere else on the island, and even the 'Baht Bus' stops right out the front to take you to Kata beach or Phuket Town from which you can catch buses to a myriad of other places.

The hotel is dated and needs updating, however there seems to be a renovation program underway, including repainting, pool repairs) etc. Our room (207) had a nice view of the pool and everything functioned well, although the shower head was a bit dodgy. It is not the Hilton, but for the money it was a great place to stay for 2 weeks.

The staff are absolutely fantastic. From our arrival when 'May' (the butler manager) had us in our room by 11am (normal check in is 2pm), to the day we left when our pre ordered taxi was waiting for us 30 min early, everything was brilliant. Our room was always immaculately cleaned every day, even if we were only out for a short time. Breakfast was great, with a large selection of hot foods, cereals, salads, fruit etc, and staff who were always happy and cleaned tables within seconds of people leaving. We especially want to thank Asyra and Kai who were lovely and a great advertisement for the hotel.

Overall, the hotel is slightly dated, but the location and staff make this a great holiday choice.

The hotel is in a nice location, however, during my 10 day stay here we experienced a lot of problems. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, the water stopped working completely, the fan from the ceiling leaked a huge puddle in front of the bathroom. The pool is nice, but there are many tiles missing at the bottom leaving it very sharp so you must be careful. The food was very subpar as well. All around i would not stay here again.

The rooms would benefit from a window that can be opened in the bathrooms. Otherwise the furniture in the bathrooms starts smelling of old, putrid wood.

Amazing location, but proceed with caution...

Whilst the hotel is in an absolutely superb location I would honestly be wary about recommending the hotel as the management of this hotel is shocking.

The main issue is that the hotel staff are completely unprepared for their technical issues which is overbooking the hotel by 30 rooms a night. This then means that upon arrival at the hotel, guests are being greeted with the sad news that they have to be taken elsewhere for a specific amount of nights. Not only this, but they are told after an hour of waiting in the lobby for no apparent reason.

My \"check in\" service was dreadful and after 1 hour and a half of waiting we were finally told that we were going to be staying in another hotel for the evening and that a car would pick us up at noon to bring us back to our rooms. They tried to make us sign some paperwork agreeing to this and we would be compensated through the form of a free dinner (no drinks included); this was obviously not signed. After eventually being picked up at 1pm our rooms only became available at 2pm and the elusive Manager was nowhere to be seen.

After 5 days we eventually found the manager and she agreed to refund our rooms for the first night which was gladly excepted. This being said, it has been 2 weeks since our holiday and I am yet to see a refund in my bank account.

Whilst I say these negative things about the management, I need to make it clear that the hotel is good and in a great location, we had a lovely holiday. Just beware.

Hotel not as nice as it looked on Expedia, but for the price and the area it was just okay. Defiantly not geared towards Americans. Room was spotless, had deluxe room, nothing special though. Breakfast buffet was average, same food everyday and other than eggs, fruit and toast, nothing else that would be considered an American breakfast. Did not have private beach as advertised, umbrellas had to be rented,and no beach chairs. The only rooms that had ocean view were the suites that were in the front of the hotel, and for the cost of those, you could stay at the Mövenpick. Our room was spotless and nice furnishings, bed was extremely to hard. This should not be classified as a spa hotel as the spa is not even open. Food everywhere is the same menu which after a few days got very dated. The hotel was very well located to many attractions and only a tuk tuk ride away. We did end up going to Paton Beach to the mall which had a huge supermarket and got some food/drinks to have any our room. The pool is nice but not your normal pool, more of a lazy river with few chairs that by 7 in the morning had already been claimed which left no where to just lay around the pool. The music at the pool was way to loud and the same soundtrack played over and over all day into the night. The staff speaks limited English but we managed to communicate. I would have to say that in the long run, we truly wish we had spent just a little more money to stay at the Mövenpick.

We didn't have a good first experience with this hotel unfortunately - at checkin they put us in the wrong room. When we pointed this out to them it took me 10mins of talking to the manager who kept telling me that there were none of the rooms we paid for available, to finally magiacally finding one of the rooms available. Unfortunately the bathroom wasn't the best as tiles were broken etc. overall nice place but wouldn't be rushing back.

Old, run down, dirty hotel (motel)!!!

This was the most disgusting hotel we've ever stayed in. It was old and in desperate need of a major renovation! There was mold all over the shower, the bed was extremely hard and the sheets were old and thin. It was very dirty - the room, the restaurant, property grounds, etc. The water pressure in the bathroom was a joke - the water in the shower and sink would just completely stop producing water while using them. And to top it off, the hotel staff was rude and unhelpful.
The location is great - just choose any other hotel in the area! This is a 2 star hotel at best!!!

A Hotel That Needs A Lot of Love

Great location with a generally unhappy staff. The place seems to be in a state of disrepair. Pool tiles are missing. The showerheads blow water literally in every direction. The bars and restaurants are vacant. The hotel did have a few unique features that were nice - one of which was entrance directly to the pool from the suites.

Phuket is too busy

We like the hotel, but found phuket way to busy for us, thus we shortened our stay by a day. We went to a much more laid back place .

2 stars hotel

The hotel it is quite old and it doesn't look as good as the pictures. My major disappointment was after the check in, the room assigned was dirty, the bed was undone and there was garbage all over the floor. It seems they forgot to clean up the room before assign it to a new customer :(

During the check out, I noticed that there was a room service charged to my room, I never ordered not even once (check the bill during the checkout). However the staff was nice and they corrected the mistake without no problem.

The hotel is in a good location, the breakfast buffet is good.

nice hotel really close to the karon beach

when we first checked in. we were asked to stay in the pool acess superior room rm 109 with 2 single bed which we actually requested for the Queen or king size bed. the room was bad. mosquitos in room. however the next day they upgraded for us to the pool acess executive suite which was really nice.. and beautiful.. I would stay there again but would go for their pool access executive suite rm 139 instead of pool access superior room. advise request for room on the 140 to 130 room number range instead of 100-120 rm number ..

Great location, quiet area

The hotel definitely needs some TLC, however it's location is awesome. Opposite beach, shops, restaurants massages as close as 100-150metrewalk.
For us it was great they had good disabled access, which we weren't aware of when booking. Also Fon (one of the duty managers) was very helpful when we needed medical attention at 3am one morning. She was still on duty when my daughter and I returned, coming and speaking to us about my husband's health personally. She also rang the hospital while we were there and passed on the hotels phone number. It was so nice to greeted personally when upset in a foreign country
Although the hotel isn't anything 'flashy' for location and pool access room we would stay there again

Woraburi was the most awful hotel I have ever encountered. The room was damp and dingy. The pool was dirty and less than full. The bed was incredibly hard. NEVER AGAIN!

Good location BUT..

The hotel is close to the beach. If you are a beach enthusiasts and loves sun bathing just 5-10 minutes you are already there.However, I would NOT RECOMMEND you to stay in this hotel. There are other hotels nearby that you can take as an option if you want to visit Karon or Phuket. Here's why:
1. The staff
I dont know if they ever understand the industry they're in( I find them rude and disrespectful) most especially when the toiletries were in incomplete in the room. We called front desk to help us and Instead of apologizing for their mishap they told my other colleague to buy it in 7/11 shop. come on! we book more than 5 rooms in this hotel and the way you treat your customer is way beyond amazing(sarcastically! ). It didn't end that night. it continued until the last days. I dont understand why the staffs are in this manner to their customers.
2. WIFI ROOMS
don't believe it. there's no difference actually of having a wifi or not. coz their wifi is insanely slow. better not have it and better not pay extra charge for it. you are just throwing your money in the trash.
3.ROOMS
i know this isnt a five 5 star but at least give us a decent clean place to sleep. At least,ensure that the place has no dead cockroaches or hairs and dirty marks in the toilets.

we were 13 people checked in in this hotel. the hotel experience was not that good but thank you heavens for the good company. It made the trip much more satisfying than thinking of how our accommodation gave us.

Beach front Hotel

I would give it 3 star rating. The checkin process took about 30 min, which was too long after a long flight and then drive (one hour from airport). The room allocation is very manual process, and poor staff has to map keys with printed folders and compare it with sheet of empty rooms. We booked four rooms a while back with hope of getting on same floor close to each other. But due to the manual process, it was impossible for them to browse through all folders and help us out.
Breakfast is certainly a very low grade. Coffee heaters were not working, and for four days we stayed we got lukewarm coffee. We didnt touch the fruit, it didnt look hygienic. Juice was colored water.
The entire hotel needs renovation and upgrade. The pool table was missing the balls. The spa is closed. They would lock toilet in lobby at 10pm.
One positive experience was the lady running the tour desk in lobby. Very friendly, and got us good prices for James Bond tour, and any taxi trips.

The hotel location suited us fine however their service was disappointing. The breakfast buffet was only okay, but we managed fine with just the freshly cooked omelettes and fresh fruit. The room was serviced daily however after the second night (total stay was five nights) we no longer had hand towels or a bath mat. We asked for these to be replaced but it never happened. There were issues with the plumbing as well. When we checked in we found the toilet to be blocked. This was fixed however it became blocked two more times during our stay. The last time they did not bother to fix it. The water in the shower pooled and took at least 30 minutes to drain away. This was reported but not fixed. Wifi was hit and miss, mostly miss. Very disappointing for a 4 star hotel!
