Perfect location opposite beach. Close to shops, restaurants, 7/11 and market plaza for fab cheap food.
Rooms large plenty of storage good shower. Tea/coffee, kettle in room. 4 free bottles of water daily, bath robes. Towels changed daily 2 beach/pool towels in room and beach bag to use. Staff very friendly. Great choice of breakfast, staff work very hard and kept all areas very clean. Pool area quiet, always sun beds free, pool water warm. Top floor room had fab view of sea. Would stay again

The place is fantastic! Pool access room was wonderful. The pool bar staff Samuel, Harry and Daniel were outstanding surg their service and conversation. We loved the room and the location. Having the restaurant's at the fronts of the hotel was so convenient. The Indian food was outstanding.

Overall very good only one gripe is pool towels. In most other hotels we’ve stayed in there are stations where you can pick up and return pool towels unfortunately the towels were changed in your room during cleaning if you were out prior to room cleaning your pool towels were not changed

We had an amazing stay at Karon sea sands, highly recommend the pool access rooms. I was upgraded to a room that connected directly to the swimming pool from the balcony, which was very cool and because of this, I ended up using the pool twice. Very limited vegetarian options in breakfast beyond the fruit the TV was almost unusable and really could only play one or two channels, but great location, easy walking distance to everything and a beautiful place beautiful place to hang out

The stay in this property was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even the tour desk lady. Breakfast buffet was excellent and opens at 6:30 which helped with early morning tours. All the hotel was clean and well maintained. The pool is very clean, the room was big and very comfortable with plenty of hot water and the internet worked great. The area is safe, walkeable and with many dining and shopping options. Our only complain was the beach. It had a lot if garbage on the sand and ocean. This is not the hotel's fault, but hopefully the local government and businesses could help keep the beach clean so people keep coming pack to Phuket.

I absolutely loved everything about the property. It was the best hotel experience I have ever had. Min, Nune, Jane, and every one else were extremely kind and helpful. The breakfast was great every day. Our room was very spacious and clean. Wifi was great, water pressure was great bed was great. The best thing is the location, it is close to everything. Awesome staff, perfect location , a smaller type accomm where the owners really care about your experience and support for whatever you need - I was unfortunate enough to have a fall on uneven path and the assistance and support I received when unable to contact my husband was second to none, including staff driving me to two hospitals and waiting for me and providing assistance with language barrier - above and beyond and I will be forever grateful. May not be the newest or most luxurious but the pool is big there are lots of sun loungers breakfast has many great options including egg station opposite the beach and right next to great massage, restaurants (our fave was Chet thai food about 200 metres away from the roundabout) coffee shops and mini marts and 7-11. Already dreaming about coming back next year. Loved it and the staff makes it so wonderful - Thankyou to Karon sea sands for a perfect experience to celebrate our wedding anniversary!

Hotel needs some upkeep, owners are letting it get run down. Broken drawer in my room, pool is a mess with broken tiles, tired mattress in the room. All the staff are on their phones all the time! So much so that when I used the ATM I immediately went over to reception to have a bill changed and she was looking at her phone. The next people found the card and though I was sitting near the woman waiting for a taxi, she didn't know it was mine because she had been on her phone not paying attention. Unfortunately I was at the airport before she realised and had to cut it up. Cleaning staff in the halls, reception, everyone on their phones! Staff were very nice and attentive if you needed them. Breakfast was so mediocre and repetitive. (Funny, the pub affiliated with the restaurant also was mediocre and I feel probably the same staff). Don't pay extra, there are lots cafes and restaurants to go nearby. Smoking all over the place which was ick. Also thought it was 'beachside' as stated as I've not been to Karon. Had to cross a busy road to get to the beach so I didn't go as much as I had hoped. No chairs made available for my \"beachside\" hotel either, we have to pay. Chair covers were dirty and wet by the pool and the area wasn't tidied up regularly. I'f I go back I won't stay here, so I'm not recommending.

The reason I won't stay there again and canceled the second half of my trip is:
1. wifi was horrible; everytime you put your phone down, it would lock you out so you would have to sign up to wifi again, and that could take up to 20 minutes. We let them know and they said it just works that way (??). We told them that's not OK and after a full day they sent an engineer out to switch out the box from 2.4g to 5g; still had the same problem but figured useless to complaint
2. sprayed pesticides-by spray i mean a huge very long cloud; taller than me and very thick. They did give notice 2 days before but the spraying was allowed to be for the full day (daytime hours)
3. Power went out-Twice. Once due to a storm so not their fault; second time because it was scheduled-during the day-though they told us the night before. That means no hot water, no electricty, etc; sort of a bummer at a four star resort-i'm fine with those conditions when camping but at a 4 star no thank you.

i normally don't leave bad reviews but when we had to run through the pesticide cloud to get to our room and the attendant was laughing-ummmm not OK

We had a pool access room, good room for the money. The ladder down to the pool was a bit hard and slippery, you would not want to use it if you are old or infirm. Breakfast was good, fairly small area but they change it slightly each day. The area around the hotel is also very good, beautiful beach across the road and restaurants and other shops close by. Also they have a twice daily shuttle to Patong if you want to go there. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Room and resort is amazing, can’t fault it at all. However, upon checkout the hotel manager accused us of losing a key card and wanted to charge us 1,500 THB! He was adamant he gave us two keys as he had this written down on a scrap piece of paper and laughed at us trying to argue our case. Eventually he gave up on his pursuit of extra money and let us go. Be very careful on this scam and make sure you get evidence of deposit/amount of key cards you have. Horrible man.

The location is perfect. Flat road and walking distance to amazing day spas, restaurants, shops and bars. Plenty of transport available. It’s an extremely short walk to the beach. I highly recommend a pool access room. Apart from breakfast and the pool, we didn’t use any of the resort’s facilities.

Karon Sea Sands Resort & Spa was ideally located. Just across the road from the beach and family friendly. The decor is a bit dated but there are ongoing renovations to modernise the look of the resort.
The family suite was very spacious and relaxing.
We found the WiFi a bit patchy - on several nights it just \"died\" and I had to pay [a daily charge] for my mobile provider to give me data in Phuket so I could hotspot it to my family for their video streaming. Luckily 4G coverage is pretty good on mobile phones.
The staff were very friendly and always smiling.
The main reception desk staff could do with a better level of English, but it was just about manageable (on the brink of getting frustrating) but to be their English is much much better than my Thai.
Rooms were cleaned daily - unless indicated not to - and toiletries/water were replenished frequently.
We had an all-round excellent stay, relaxing and family friendly.

On arrival ( Approx 1am ) the 2 guys at the were excellent and got us checked in quickly and got us to our room and went through where everything was.
Next morning greeted with a lovely team down in the dining area for breakfast. Big thank you to you all for your wonderful and efficient service. Even though we were told renovations were being done to the resort, minimal disruption. Can't say thank you enough for our stay and we would recommend the Karon Sea Sands Resort to anyone who would ask us for a great place to stay :)

A four-story hotel complex across the street from Karon Beach. It is slightly set back from the main road which makes it quieter, but this means no direct sea view. However, I had a room on the fourth (top) floor, and could see the sea in the distance from the balcony.
The room was good sized and had everything I needed. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the kitchen staff.
Easy walking distance to bars, restaurants, and shopping in the area.
Just two concerns I had with my stay... the safe in the room was not suitable for a laptop computer. And also, the set price at reception for a taxi to the airport was 25% above what you could arrange with a licensed taxi driver from the street.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and will return if given the chance...

This property was fantastic! Comfortable beds, AC actually worked, and the room was very clean and ready when we arrived. Great location to Karon Beach and not far from kata and Kata Noi beach. Very nice beach close by. Many good local eateries. Hotel is good value with a well-designed pool and nice spacious room, huge bed with very comfortable bedding (it’s super king bed was modestly listed as a double bed in its website). Buffet breakfast had sufficient variety, except we wish they could vary the type of fruits (there’re so many varieties of tropical fruits available besides the standard 3 served free by restaurants everywhere). Nearby market is average. A dishonest fruit seller sold us rambutans at double the price of other nearby stalls when we were unsuspecting. Buyers beware!

ROOM HAD STRONG SMELL OF PAINT, NOISY WITH BANGING AT ALL HOURS AS THEY WERE REBUILDING.
YOU COULD HERE NEXT DOOR GUESTS THROUGH DIVIDING DOORS.
I CHOSE THIS HOTEL BECAUSE OF GYM,WHICH HAD ONLY TWO MACHINES AND THE DOOR WAS LOCKED EVERYDAY. BREAKFAST WAS THE SAME EVERYDAY AND WAS BORING BUT ADEQUATE.
THE FOOD IN THE RESTAURANT AT NIGHT WAS APPALLING,I THOUGHT IT STRANGE WHEN I WAS THE ONLY ONE IN THE RESTAURANT IN THE FIRST NIGHT, I HAD TO SEND THE FISH AND CHIPS BACK AS WAS INEDIBLE,THEN TRIED FRIED RICE WHICH WAS HORRIBLE.
THERE ARE MUCH BETTER HOTELS TO TRY OVER THIS ONE , JUST DON`T BOTHER, THEY DON`T CARE

Staff are pretty great, attentive but not too attentive, and friendly (as are a lot of people in Thailand tbh).

Had to be moved to a separate lower star hotel across the street for unknown reasons on the first night. I was not notified before arriving that I wouldn’t be staying at the hotel I booked. My hotel room was supposed to be ready early in the morning the next day, but instead we had to wait around all afternoon for our room to be ready. Overall hotel location and cleanliness was great. However I was disappointed with how they handled the situation, and didn’t thoroughly explain why.

The staff here are wonderful they always have a smile for you. If I had to give any bad comment it would have to be the dreadful pop music that was played at the pool each day. I would have liked something more quiet and relaxing (but then might be my age!). Breakfast was nice and plentiful. Room facilities excellent and very clean. Would definitely stay here again if in Phuket.

Lovely hotel & staff near the beach!

Staff were excellent especially Gopar and Kumar who were very chatty, and desk staff but everyone was friendly and hardworking. Hotel room was comfy, with added extras like mosquito plugs provided, umbrella, 2 free bottles of water per day. Also allowed us to early check in, which we were really grateful for. The hotel bar also has a happy hour, sports bar, Indian restaurant (recommended by locals), Thai and European Food. Breakfast was a good variety, and served until 10.30! (not an early finish like some places we have stayed at).
Hotel also made my husband a birthday cake, and all staff got together to sing which made it really special!
Nothing is too difficult, we really enjoyed our stay!

Great location just across from the beach and close to restaurants, shopping, etc. The staff is wonderful. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable although slightly dated. Only real negative was that the aircon struggled to bring the room temperature down after a hot aftermoon. Breakfast was good and the swimming pool very nice. Overall an excellent value and I would recommend to other travellers.

From the moment we arrived we fell in love with the resort. It didn’t hurt that we received a free upgrade to one of the only two family suites on property. The staff was polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet was extremely well thought out- eggs to order, pancakes, pastries, fresh fruits (several choices), pork, chicken, cereals, various juices, coffee, etc. The pool and pool bar were great. Extremely close to beach and shopping.
Would stay there again without hesitation.

Great Hotel, 2 min walk to the beach

My husband and I spent 10 days there for our honeymoon and loved it, the food was amazing, the staff was amazing, the pool is and rooms are huge!! It's a small, family owned and operated business, the owners are there and incredibly kind. Our only complaint is that pool closes early, it would be perfect if the pool stayed open until midnight or so. Our next stay at Phuket will be at Karon Sea Sands, we fell in love the hotel.

I got to the hotel a day late after a flight delay, and they would not refund me for the night I missed. When I arrived the receptionist was asleep. It then took 10 mins for them to find my booking. The bed was nice and comfortable. The shower was terrible and there was no hot water. The one really great thing about this hotel is the beach is across the street.

Close to Beach and Shops, Service not the best.

2nd stay at Karon Sea Sands, once 15 years ago. Found the resort is aging but still good value for money. Having been to Phuket a lot I just found some of the staff unable to assist with basic requests. Constant issues with their Efpos machine clearly their issue as numerous clients were inconvenienced.

Service is bad, food is bland and location is good

The property is dated and I would not consider it 4 star may be 3 . First the good bits the room size is generous, Bed is firm and good. Location very good,

Now the bad part. The staff can not communicate , they are untrained and would not understand or even try to understand . We had issues with cleaning. The hotel safe battery cover kept falling stopped working once.

Wifi is patchy and unreliable. Food is not good at all. The breakfast is average. I order poached egg first morning it tasted like it was cooked in vinegar never ordered again. Had lunch first day food was so bland we just stopped ordering anything even if we were starving we will walk out.

They have a lobby lounge where we order Cafe latte once again was hopless so we went to have coffee next door to Ramada which had a good barista and kind of coffee one is used to in Melbourne.

Couple of staff members (not local Thai ) were very good. Rest was all pretty much below average.

Nice hotel. Close to the beach

Friendly staffs. Even if there was language barrier, the staffs tried their best to communicate. 5 minutes to Beach; nearby shops and restaurants with a lot of nice foods Room - Wonderful nice and spacious. Breakfast was excellent! Room and swimming pool very clean. the guys at the pool bar was excellent (sorry guys I forgot your names). Thank you so much for a very enjoyable stay in Phuket. Will stay here again

Relaxing hotel in a good location

Good location. Big clean rooms. Staff smiling and always ready to assist. Nice big pool with a swim up bar. Food was decent. All in all a good choice if you want a relaxing stay.

Karon Sea Sands Hotel

The hotel is clean, the staff friendly and helpful. However, the hotel is in need of an update as it is dark and a little old fashioned. I would probably rate it as a three or a three and a half star not a four-star hotel. The pool area very noisy with music blasting out and water feature thundering on all day. Okay stay, not sure if I would return.

Helpful, friendly staff. Right on the beach.

The front desk employees and room staff were very friendly and helpful. I ended up staying an extra night rather than moving on because they made me feel at home. My room overlooked the beach and was clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The hotel is right on the beach and within a very short walking distance of the shops and dining in Karon.

The hotel was great, for the price it was a good deal with breakfast and wifi included which were not in others in the same price bracket in the vicinity. The beach was literally infront of the hotel as you walk out and cross the road, just be careful as its a busy road. Upon checkin they gave us vouchers for the spa, restaurant and a restaurant just infront of the hotel. The only annoying thing was we had to keep signing in to the internet every time we got back to our room, part from that everything was brilliant.
