It's a nice place with a lovely swimming pool. Varied options are included in the breakfast. It has a good location in Karon beach.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. On the first night, they gave us a room that was very old as they didn’t have the room that we had booked. On the following day, they put us in a very nice room with an ocean view. The breakfast is quite poor on options, but survivable.

My only issue is I have a disability and struggled to reach my room each time due to the amount of stairs and very steep ramps.
All in all totally recommend for able bodied people.

An authentic, not flashy, nice hotel. A 5 minute walk to Karon beach with food and pharmacy on the way. The lagoon in front of the hotel is not for swimming. The sunset from floor 5 terrace is spectacular.

As it was low season, there was a lot of maintenance work going on. This made it a little noisy during the day time when relaxing by the pool.

We had a good stay at Best Western, Karon Beach. The rooms were nice with great views. Karon Beach is right across the street. The breakfast was average and the restaurant had limited seating so usually there was a waiting time for getting the table. The swimming pool is awesome, pool side Bar served good food.

Updated property. Great staff. Tasty breakfast was included in the booking. Close to everything, shopping, food, groceries, beach. Drinks are good, although a bit pricey compared to the outside restaurants, the 2 for 1 happy hour drinks (8-10pm) are a great value. Ohhh did I mention the views? This property is on a hill so you will have to do a few steps, but there is an elevator to the rooms, the views are worth the walk up the stairs.

Great Hotel
I found this to be a top hotel. My partner and I stayed for 13 nights and there is very little that we could think of that disappointed us. Rooms were clean - views were fantastic - the 3 pools were always spotless and mostly accessible and the grounds were immaculate. Breakfast was great with a huge selection, and even when busy (the hotel was at capacity during our stay), there was always plenty of seats and plenty of food. The location is perfect, being only a short walk to the beach or the restaurants and bars of Karon, or a quick Tuk Tuk ride to Kata Beach (200 baht) or Patong (400 baht). Staff were friendly, the Spa / Massage was very good and with competitive rates (for a hotel) and if you eat at the restaurant (other than breakfast), again great food at fair prices. The ONLY downside (and for those who have stayed there will know) is the bloody hike up to your room. Hotel is situated on a steep block and there is only one lift, but there are probably 16 steps before you even get to the lift. But if you can handle that, you cannot, in my opinion, fault this fantastic hotel. This is my 7th visit to Phuket and my 6th hotel - it is by far the best for the money I wanted to spend. Would definitely recommend to a friend, and would not hesitate to stay here again. 😄

I choose this hotel as it was beautiful location , overall experience was it as good hotel, few things were really hurting as lift was available but mostly out of order, amount of stairs you have to climb with kids without any helper, really surprising. Breakfast very good, but very less vegetarian options. At the time of checkout they tried to charge missing glass worth 50 baht , without checking my room , as it is not possible to check with short time . Finally when we asked to recheck the things again , everything was in place , they really realise or it just to cheat I don't know . Sometimes such things you takeaway for ever for as last hitch. Overall we enjoyed our stay there.

Amazing Hospitality! Great Location
I was a solo traveler and had a couple of plans that needed re-scheduled due to a snow storm. The hotel staff were amazing and helped me after my stressful travels to get there. The pools are very clean and shaded. My room was an an ocean view suite, just beautiful with a walk out patio to sit up high with a great view. The location was great, close to nice places to eat, fun shopping market, and steps from the ocean, just breath taking place. The lounge is very social with TVs, sofas, and lounges to rest. The breakfast was fantastic they offered great Western and International food many choices. The stay was absolutely perfect, I would book again and hope to return one day

Last place on our trip came here after few days at expensive luxury hotel ,this hotel quite ok maybe not dated but nothing wrong with it ,we spent a lot of time in room as it was far too hot outside ,it did not seem to bother all the guests. Round the pools but we could not take it hotel few hundred yards from the main town areas which made it quiet ,overall a good area and good hotel with excellent big buffet breakfast

Great location and awesome view. Decent service and a good value for money. the main negative was food quality. We had to be careful about ants in some of the food items. Apart from that, balcony door was quite hard to operate, probably needs maintenance.

Resorts pools are great with lots of shade and sun chairs. Very steep with lots of stairs up and down to rooms. Buffet breaky is great with big variety of food to choose from. Short walk to main street and Karon beach. I was happy with it overall. 3.5 stars.

This hotel was really perfect for our holiday and we stayed for 3 weeks. The hotel is perfectfectly placed for the beach the town and to get a taxi. Highly recommended beds comfy breakfast hot and plentiful Rooms cleaned daily fresh towels for the beach always a free sun lounger at any of the 3 pools.

Quiet and close to beach and restaurants
Be careful as lots of steep stairs but lift available to top floor. The lift was not working the last few days of my stay of 3 weeks in beginning of low season. Super room with view of beach from top floor. Very green surrounding at back verandah. Very safe and secure, card access. Very quiet depending on occupation of rooms next door. Housekeeping bit strange, came in room when 'do not disturb' sign on door. English of staff is not too good. Several pools to choose from. Restaurant food just okay, nothing to write home about, would not go to restaurant again even though reasonable price. Next door to 7/11 for water, drinks and snacks. Close to shrine markets (fantastic) and restaurants, beach walk 5 min, walk to other beaches south of Karon Beach. Tuk Tuks very expensive to Patong from here. Public bus around corner every hour $1 to Phuket town to transfer to Patong beach bus, expect slow 1hr trip but good scenery on way . a/c fantastic! fridge in room great too due to high heat & humidity! TV movies - one channel with same movies at night every week. Housekeeping watch TV when changing towels so change channel back when finished.Tea cups only wiped not washed, bed terrific & firm. They bottle their own water which was strange so bought water from 7/11. Lots of free tea bags every day and great toiletries too.

Hotel ok if you are on a tight budget. Short walk to beach and Main Street which has bars and restaurants. Grounds and pools are good. Hotel is on a hillside and regardless which room you are in you are required to climb steps...and more steps. Not good for the elderly or disabled.

The staff welcome us with flowers for our honeymoon. The room we got was in the new building. The view was grate. the staff at the mornning buffet was very nice and friendly and the food was taisty.

Resort. More like motel. Actually we've seen better. First room smelled like body odor and linens and towels were really smelly. We tried to use wifi and after calling the front desk they tell us our room cannot catch wifi. We asked to be moved and new room was worse. Besides the smell, the tub hadn't been cleaned and now the towels were a funky grey color. We asked to be moved again. We threatened to move out so they upgraded us. We thought we were getting lucky but the next day when they cleaned our room they gave us those funky grey smelly towels the linens that they put on had the same problem. We made them change them until we were satisfied. Wifi never worked well and staff had a bad attitude. We will never stay there or any Best Western again.

Mix up with room allocated to us which was dark and dingy overlooking car park and main road, which we didn't booked. We were moved the next day as the hotel was fully booked when we arrived. Also mix up about whether we should be allowed a breakfast, when we arrived we were given a beakfast card but reception staff said we shouldn't have been given breakfast because you don't get breakfast when you book through Expedia. We did book breakfast when we made a booking so at a loss.

Average hotel for average cost. The Wifi was horrible. Staff was not friendly and constantly put off dealing with problems.

Great breakfast buffet spread. Love the decor of the room. A lot of stairs but you probably know that from the reviews other people submitted. We tried to call for a cab through the front desk but was told that we have to hail one from the street. That was a minor inconvenience.

Nice location for the quiet beach
this hotel does not have elevators for 90% of the rooms here. it was an exstreme walk to get to and from my room. Im very althlete and enjoyed the walk when I was trying to excercise but when I was not it was a very hard walk up several stairs...I counted it was 30 stair to my room not including the walkways added to the walk. I was there for a wedding and was terrified to walk in my heels and I didnt have room for extra shoes to bring. it was very scary and I almsost fell several times.

This hotel was loaded with value. Nice pools and facilities. Easy walk to a beautiful beach. Plenty of restaurants and shopping within easy walk. My wife and I stayed for 10 days, and never had a problem. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good. My wife enjoyed the workout room. There are a few stairs to the elevator, but not really an issue for us.

Rustic hotel with lovely landscaping. Room was comfortable with ample toiletries. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Location is ideal for me as was a shortdistance away from the main Karon commercial road (quieter) but close enough to the beach. Breakfast spread is adequate. Highly recommended value for money.

This is a really good hotel , with friendly service.Near to the beach. perfect! Downside is that the street below is rather busy, with heavy noicy traffic allhours mostly.

Great hotel. We had a wonderful ocean view and enjoyed the hotel pools. Karon beach is a short (5 min) walk from the entrance, and you'll find some good food at the beach front vendors.
There was a little construction happening within the hotel (Aug 2015) so that made a bit of noise in the morning, but overall I'd highly recommend this hotel for families and couples.
This neighbourhood (Karon beach) is less of a party location than neighbouring Patong.

Lizards, stairs & bad service!
This hotel is not a good choice for the area - you can find something much nicer for the same price. First of all - you have to walk several flights of stairs outside BEFORE getting to the elevator to get to your room. Then, the bathrooms have non-closing windows with screens and at night these white lizards slither across trying to get inside - freaky! The hotel staff messed up EVERYTHING about my booking - I was traveling solo and they kept insisting I needed to show 2 passports and that I was really supposed to be a guy with a different name. To top it off, when I left and was on my way to the airport - they called my cellphone accusing me of stealing a bathrobe that the idiot housekeeper eventually found behind the bathroom door on the hook! Do NOT stay here.

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Great breakfast,3 pools to chose, people even leave their books their for others to read. So did I. The hotel is very close to beach, 6 min walk, just across from the hotel. I have booked an airport shuttle service with the hotel and a shofer was waiting for me at airport. It cost $750 Baht. It's about one hour ride on a curly road.

Having read some reviews I was a bit worried about rude tourists but must would say that the oother visitors consisted mainly of german, French and Russian but at no time did I find them rude. No towels were left on sun beds from the night before. The staff were extremely friendly and the breakfast was very good. It is the same each day but there is a very large choice. Both Asian and European, hot and cold.

Close to where you go to islands, ride elephants or ATV's. Raya Island is best for snorkelling. Oh forgot about the pools, the best for families I have ever seen. I recommend this hotel to all.
