Just had the most wonderful stay at Mandarava Spa Hotel in Phuket. The staff were AMAZING, professional, helpful and really did go above and beyond to make our holiday! Front of house, housekeeping, reception, bar, restaurant and spa staff are a real asset! Thank you Mandarava team!

A beautiful place to stay. Best room of the many places I have stayed in Phuket. The planting in the grounds make this place exceptional, the surroundings are like a botanical garden - quite lovely. Food is good. FIVE pools, one of which is adults only, so the swimming is excellent. Staff were really helpful and so nice. I am definitely going back again.

Overall, the stay was pleasant, but there are a few improvements that could enhance the guest experience. The room would benefit from having a full-length mirror, as well as USB charging ports. The water pressure from the handheld shower could be stronger, and the swimming pools could be cleaned more frequently.

I had an absolutely amazing stay at the Mandarava. The entire property is beautiful and incredibly well maintained. Everything was spotless, from the rooms to the pool area. The pool itself was extremely clean and inviting, and you can tell the staff takes great pride in keeping the whole resort in perfect condition. The food available on the resort was outstanding, with every meal exceeding expectations. The spa was also amazing and provided such a relaxing experience. Everyone on staff was super nice, attentive, and professional. The service was truly fantastic, and they consistently made sure we were taken care of throughout our stay. Overall, it was an incredible experience, and I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a wonderful, relaxing getaway.

Clean room and facilities. Good food. Cheeva spa was awesome, but didn’t like putting on shared shoes even if sanitized. The room setup was enjoyable and the view was great. Only con that I think just comes with thailand is the shower water drained slowly every night until I was standing in a puddle. Staff were very friendly. The only odd thing is at check while I understand wanting to conserve energy, telling guess if they don’t remove the room key when absent from room they will know was not what I wanted to hear as if I would get in trouble. I bought water to use because you have to pay for it at the resort and it’s cheaper at the mart.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay from 27/12 to 10/01 at Mandarava. We had the simplest Tropicana room but it felt as luxurious. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Staff are amazing and always willing to help. Car to and from the beach is very convenient. Pool is great. Restaurant is delicious. Breakfast has many options to choose from. Nothing to complain about. Hotel location may put some down as it is hilly but this did not affect us.

4 night stay at the start of our honeymoon. Bedroom and other parts of hotel were spotlessly clean. Staff friendly & welcoming. Breakfast buffet was very good in terms of choice and taste - regularly replenished. Very hilly resort hotel, so check out options if you have mobility problems.
We had one maintenence problem with the ceiling fan during our stay, but it was dealt with efficiently, and hotel staff could not apologize enough. They left a bouquet of flowers in our room by way of apology, and even offered to change our room including an upgrade. We declined, as we only had 2 nights left, plus the problem had been fully resolved without any inconvenience to us.
Hotel is located just 5 minutes walk from a few local shops, restaurants and massage parlours, and only about 10-15 minutes walk to Karon Beach and the town centre.

We spent 5 nights here and on arrival were upgraded from Sea Fan Deluxe to a Coral room. This was right at the top of the resort by the banana pool. Room 6202. The coconut pool was also closer by but we preferred the banana as it was so much quieter with a nice sunbed area. Buggies to get around the resort are great as it is very steep and a long walk without. Rooms were great size, good bathroom and stunning sea views. Staff are super helpful and the resort is really well maintained. Great location with 5 minute walk into Karon

Amenities: I utilized the Spa, 3-day package. I had Tik, I always left feeling so relaxed
Room: I had a Tropical room not too far from the main lobby which was great. Be prepared to walk in this hotel, I would say that’s its major downfall alongside some areas that could use renovating
Food: breakfast had its standard American items, mixed with cultural dishes which was nice to have some variety. Dinner and room service was great with the choices of Thai food or American style cuisines

Really beautiful resort and I loved my stay here. The only downside was breakfast in the morning. I eat halal food only and there were very less option for me. Knowing Thailand has a huge muslim population they should have separate halal options for everyone. But other than that great experience!

We loved everything about our stay from the room (cleaned daily), to the friendliness of the staff and variety at breakfast. The hotel is located close to Karon beach (you can walk but there is also a free shuttle service provided by the hotel) and lots of choices for restaurants and massage parlours nearby too. The resort is set on a hill, so isn’t ideal for those with mobility issues. However, the staff are very accommodating to guest needs day or night and provide a concierge service to your room if you don’t want to walk far.

I can't say enough about Mandarava Resort! This place is an absolute slice of paradise, but what truly sets it apart is the exceptional staff. It all starts when you check in. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. This extends to all staff who work at the Mandarava. Always happy to greet you and assist you wherever possible. Most importantly, it is all very genuine.

The property is well maintained, in particular the grounds and gardens.

Breakfast is a treat with a good range of food options. The restaurant provides a nice atmosphere with great views and is fairly open. If the weather turns, the staff will pull down the blinds to ensure you are not inconveniences and will just as quickly pull them back up once any bad weather has moved on.

This was our third time back and for good reason. I can't say this about many hotels I've stayed in but this one actually offers good value for money.

Our next trip to Phuket will make it our fourth.

Had an amazing stay at this resort. The rooms were really spacious and so comfortable to sleep in. The pools were never full so it was super easy to get a sun lounger and the free towels to use were so handy. The staff at the pool bars were so helpful especially at the Pomelo pool which was also over 12s only therefore relaxed and quiet. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming and the shuttle bus service around the resort was a great service. I would definitely recommend a stay at this resort if you are heading to the Karon beach area.

This was one of the nicest places we’ve stayed at. It’s like living in a treehouse in the jungle. Location is great if you’re looking for a quiet place to escape the craziness but also still close to everything. Room service was excellent and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Situated in the heart of the Karon hilly areas this beautiful hotel offers all the convenience of walking distance to the shops, restaurants and beaches.
Tasty breakfast and nicely decorated rooms and 5 smaller swimming pools with bars in them are very inviting and relaxing for everyone seeking comfort and pleasure.
Well equipped gym is also a plus.
Staff is really pleasant and friendly willing to help at any time.
The only thing is you should be prepared to walk tens of steep steps to your room. Better be fit.

We had a wonderful stay at Mandarava. The service, the food, the scenery were all outstanding. Some notable staff members were Duke, Sam, Lek, Ouuu (from Chomtalay), the young male trainee by the noodles/soup station (also Chomtalay) , Su, Ann, Apple and Tik ( from the spa) all left a really great impression with us. We definitely recommend the breakfast buffet, it has so much variety and was always fresh. Everyone, even the groundskeepers greeted us with a friendly smile, we felt so appreciated and that says a lot about the resort.

My partner and I recently stayed at the Mandarava Resort and Spa, and we had an amazing experience. Tucked away near the beach in Karon, this villa-style resort is surrounded by lush greenery and offers breathtaking views of the nearby mountains. The entire atmosphere exudes peace and relaxation like stepping into a tropical sanctuary.The villa-suites are beautifully designed to blend in with the natural surroundings, offering privacy and comfort.

One of the highlights of our stay was the massage at the spa which was a wonderful and deeply relaxing experience. The treatments from Apple and Milky were thoughtfully done in a serene and comfortable setting, leaving us feeling completely refreshed and restored.

The staff at Mandavara were truly outstanding — so kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Their warm hospitality added a personal touch that made the entire stay feel even more special.

The food was delicious and fairly priced, and I really appreciated how generous they were with bottled water during our stay— a small but thoughtful gesture that made a big difference in the tropical heat.

If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with top-notch service and a calming spa experience, Mandarava Resort and Spa is highly recommended!

It was our second time staying at the Mandarava and it was amazing as usual. Accommodation was great, we had a pool access room and wouldn’t go any other way. There are 5 pools and numerous pool bars which we especially took advantage of during happy hour - very fair cocktail prices.

The only 2 things I would critique are the TVs and the in room service. The TV’s don’t allow you to connect your phone to it to watch things like Netflix. Especially on the days where it rained or stormed. I wish they had Smart TV’s. The pizza and garlic bread were terrible both times.. barely cooked cheese and a very dry base.

Other than that, everything was incredible and I would recommend anybody to stay here!

Really great place…no real complaints. It’s a bit hilly so a lot of up hill walking but they do have shuttles which are pretty convenient. You can take the shuttle to Karon beach as well HOWEVER last shuttle back is 6 so you can’t really go to Karon for dinner or see the sunset. But that said you could still use Grab to come back. Anyway highly recommended.

Visited 9 years ago and loved it. This visit was a disappointment - felt like everything had just become a little lower in standard. Fake grass by the pool, poor outside seating at the bar and I think the rooms have been redecorated and personally not a huge favourite of the new colours.

The dressing table in the bathroom is fairly useless due to the heat in there and the lack of light. The heat also gets worse as while the AC is great, the policy is no AC when the housekeeper leaves the room, so it can be a sauna if you are in a sunny room with the amount of glass.

The grounds are still stunning and the breakfast offering was excellent. Cocktails at the bar were expensive and poor quality. Gym is OK but needs some new equipment.

We actually left for 2 nights of our 4 night stay to stay elsewhere as it was a huge disappointment after such an amazing first visit.

Wouldn't rush back personally but a lot of other guests seemed to be enjoying it.

We thoroughly enjoyed the high-quality breakfast, the friendly staff, and the pool options. We turned our Air Conditioning up to cool the room, however, the Air Conditioner struggled and kept the room modestly cool. Thankfully the room had a powerful ceiling fan.
