I live in Thailand and have learned how to keep a \"cool heart\" as the Thais say.

Great place, simple but clean and modern. My room was very spacious. Staff was helpful, but the language barrier was tricky. I arrived a day late, and warned them twice by email and text, but nobody seemed to know about it and it took awhile to find my reservation. Besides that, great stay!

We were arriving quite late and have no choice to our reserved toom. It was nightmare when assigned our room at 3rd floor which is upper floor of restaurant. There were many little crokoaches coming out whenever we moved. They came out from table, u der the bed and bathroom. I called to receptionist about this issue and ask for room changed. Fortunately, he was helpful and manage to get me another room at 6th floor. It was much more cleaner. I am happy they attended and fixed the issue immediately and new assigned room is pleasant to stay! We are satisfied at last!

Amazing hotel- stay here!
The hotel is in a busy location but we couldn’t hear any noise outside our door so we could sleep easily! The service was incredible and every people was wonderful and friendly. The breakfast was the best I have ever had at a hotel. If you are going to Karon beach and want a cheap stay with an awesome room and the best service and cleanliness you will see in Thailand you should choose this place. There is a reason it is rated to high on trip advisor.

Old poorly maintained hotel
The Simplitel Hotel Karon is like I should rot in the middle of the main street of restaurants and is about 350 m from the beach.
The staff here are friendly The hotel is very basic & poorly maintained. The rooms are large. the king bed is actually two single beds pushed together with no padding to cover the join in the middle & the beds are very hard & uncomfortable. The pillows are also fairly thick & very firm. Not comfortable at all.
The hotel is old & the floor tiles in my room will loose and they were broken tiles on the walls in the shower. The room has a mini bar fridge, a safe, tea and coffee making facilities, high chair and a desk.
The shower has good pressure, but there only a shower curtain. They supply a tiny little bar of soap. There is an LCD TV with cable channels but the reception is poor.
The internet is terrible, very slow & intermittent and drops out from time to time.
Even the computer's supplied on the second level are so slow that they are almost impossible to use as it takes minutes even for an Explorer window to load.
The fitness center has old dangerous equipment, is hot & stuffy and the machines are unplugged all the time in order to try and save power. The air conditioning is turned off for the same reason. The treadmill belts slip regularly and are noisy & dangerous and need replacing. There is no swimming pool at this hotel.

Great location in Karon beach, 5-10 minute walk to roundabout, 10 minute walk to beach. Hotel was clean, entire staff wonderful, friendly, very kind and service oriented. Family Mart minimart right next door, great places to eat all around - our favorite was right across the street, Reaun Talay, with free basic salad bar. The hotel was quiet, good sound proofing between rooms, a/c worked well, mini fridge, tea kettle & water, coffee, tea replenished each day. A very pleasant stay, would recommend.

A Lovely Stay...
I had a wonderful 5 nights at the hotel. It was super clean. The staff was friendly and were always eager to assist me. The area is great because you're a few steps from the beach and are surrounded by a mix of places to eat (Karon is the most liveable area if you're looking for peace, comfort and a gorgeous beach).
The hotel has all the necessary basics and I slept comfortably every night. I didn't try the breakfast.

We stayed for 4nights at Simplitel in a room with the Mountain view. It location is perfect:2min walk from the beach. The staff is very welcoming and always smiling. The breakfast which was included was great and different every day! I definitely recommend this hotel!

Ants for beginning but the manager helped solve
After we bought a bottle of honey into the room, ants were everywhere in the next morning, especially the table where the honey was located - full of \"ants army\", additionally, no hot water in the morning, pillows were way too high to sleep with, air was very smelly (probably it's the anti-insects spray) - we thought our holiday would be ruined. However, as soon as we complained all these problems to the reception, the manager apologised and gave us an alternative room in the higher floor straight away. He said the ants were because the previous customers' food attractions, and our new room is clean from insects - but we dealt with food & food trash carefully afterwards just in case.
So, nice and helpful staffs, no food in the room - sweet food is the most strict type of food.

The hotel is pretty much like new. Nice clean airy room. Breakfast was pretty good. Only a few minutes walk from the beach. I was planning to use the gym but that wasn't very good. Apart from that I was very happy with my stay. it was good value for money but I think I got a good price. If I ever go back to Karon beach then I'm going back there. I got a parking ticket on my bike and it was locked up, the staff were kind enough to lend me a bike to go and pay the fine which was nice of them. Next time I'll park in their car park!

We stayed for two nights. It is in a good location and very reasonable. Hotel is quite modern and has a nice entrance. It would be nice if there was a bar in the hotel. Staff were helpful. I think overall this is a good choice for a short break in karon. However if staying longer I would want a hotel with more facilities including pool, bar etc.

Found this to be a convenient hotel ten minutes walk to the main Karon beach and surrounded by resturants. The price was certainly right but the location although convenient a little noisy with the street facing room. I would certainly stay there again but would opt for one of the off street rooms

Stayed here a night after spending 3 in Patong... I must admit it is far from Bangla and main action but it is a good laid back area with cleaner, less crowded beaches. Hotel is on the main street and central to all restaurants, massage places, 5 mins walk to the beach and currency exchange places are nearby. We rented a bike from the next door lady who ran a small restaurant and a small lodge (200 THB a day). We also rented a taxi to airport from that lady at 900THB which was cheaper than 1200THB quoted by hotel and 1000THB quoted by taxi drivers. There is a small store with medical supplies and groceries next door. Also, right outside is an ice cream place run by a wonderful couple (must try)... Also is close to Nin Massage which we felt was really good.. Overall a good place for people in $50-$75 budget range.

I found a pretty good deal on Simplitel through the website and decided to give it a shot. Karon beach turned out to be a great location, as it's in between Kata beach and Patong beach. Kata Noi because is probably the nicest and Patong is probably the most exciting since everything goes on there. So I was very happy with the location. The hotel was pretty simple and clean. I liked the mountain view as well, which I apparently got upgraded to. The one thing I did find that was funny was that it literally had some of the worst hand soap I've ever seen at a hotel. It was so dry. Very minor random detail. Also, the hotel wifi is very annoying how you have to log in again every single time you log back on to the network. But a minor detail once again and it was worth putting up with because of the good deal I think I got on the room.

Booked it based on reviews, this hotel is very old and not renovated. Could not stay more then one night. Moved out first thing in the morning. There are much better hotels at same price range.

Stayed in room 609 for a week, the balcony was large and the view nice with the sea in one direction and the big budda in the other. efficient and pleasant staff, ok breakfast with egg cooking station, and the gym was ample with a good multistation and adequate weights. The room was modern and clean. I paid high season prices which was the only negative but overall value for money.

An OK hotel in a good location with no character
Hotel was not bad but it didn't live up to its reviews. The location is very central if you want to live right on the busy street. It's 10 minutes walk to the beach, the bus to Phuket town and Kata Beach stops right outside of the hotel. The rooms were very spacious but the furnishing was a bit odd. All the furniture was cramped in one corner and the large part of the room was kind of empty. OK, the view of the hills was stunning (we were on the 6th floor, facing away from the street).We didn't like the corridors of the hotel, they are long and dark. The breakfast wasn't great, there were mornings when were couldn't eat anything besides toast. The rooms were cleaned regularly but not thoroughly. We went to the beach the first day and the sand was still in the corner of the shower after 3 days. Our general impression of Simplitel - is that its an OK hotel in a good location with no character and very impersonal service.

This place is a simple, clean, and cheap place to stay if you plan on spending your vacation her mostly at the beach or out doing activities. If you like spending your vacations on a nice resort with top qualitiy amenities and pool this place might not be for you. My hubby and I stayed for two weeks and had a wonderful time. We barely spent time at the hotel as most of our time was spent out at the beach. Therefore, simply tell provided the perfect place to just take the occasional nap and sleep! Great location on patak rd, easy walk to lots of great food and nightlife.

Too noisy. Can hear everything from room doors closing to the lift noises to the hotel staff's walkie talkie's to anyone talking. The hotel has no soft furnishings to dampen any sound therefore any noise is magnified.

Our stay start from 18 Oct to 23 Oct, the room is generally clean but minor dirts found on towels and bed sheet, room is spacious. Sound isloation is very bad, we heard doors closing and talking from the corridor almost every night, it raised me up several times. Hotel staff is friendly to answer questions. However, don't expect the breakfast too much, you will be disappointed. Location is good if you only request to stay at beach for whole day, or I will suggest to stay at patong next time, we spent THB1400 on tuk tuk to patong....

Simplitel is a very good value, clean hotel with easy access to Karon beach. It is located in an area with plenty of restaurants / bars - you'll never go hungry! There are also many 7 Eleven and mini markets within 5 minutes walk. The beach is an easy 5 minute walk away.
My room was large and clean with a nice balcony looking out towards the hills. Room was cleaned daily and towels changed as required.
Staff were nice and very competent. Please remember that it is not the fault of the staff if you decide to travel to Phuket in wet season and it does actually rain!!

Stay here and you will not regret it. Hotel is clean and new. Only bad thing i can say is, non of the rooms have bathroom locks.
Rent a bike (approx 200 thb/day) to go around. Ride to Patong beach,(15-20mins ride) it is the happeing place/night life of Phuket. Be careful of the hilly roads and always wear a helmet or you will get a fine. Stay safe and have fun :)

Good location, but service needs to be improved
I booked a triple room for my two daughters and I. When I checked in, the lady made copies of our passports and the immigration sheets, not only that she requested my daughters to sign the hotel form, and stating that a triple room requires three of us to sign. She also reminded me if we had any extra person to stay with us, there would be cost for the extra person. I told her I booked a triple room for three of us, there was not any extra person travelling with us at all. After we entered our room, a follow-up phone call rang, asking me to bring the hotel voucher to the desk, since she forgot to ask me when checked in. The day we left for another resort in Karon Beach, I found I left a big bag of fruits in the refrigerator, I walked back to the hotel, asking if they had my bag of fruits. The lady in the front desk called the room service of the floor we stayed, and the answer was they did not see any bag of fruits in the room/refrigerator... Despite the service, I like the location of this hotel, very convenient with lots of restaurants steps away.

If it's a simple and clean accommodation you're looking for, Simplitel is perfect. The hotel is walking distance to Karon beach and just steps away from seven eleven. Make sure to visit Red Onion next door, my boyfriend and I stayed at Karon for 4 nights and ate there 3 days in a row. Their pineapple fried rice is phenomenal! Staff at Simplitel was friendly and helpful. Won't hesitate to stay at Simplitel the next time we visit Karon.

Very clean and quiet. Room facing the road has no problem. Free breakfast good enough to start the day. Happy with free internet. Air con a bit cold and noisy. Pillows have marks on and bedding not very comfy, quilt too thick and heavy. Cannot compare with 5 star hotel standard, acceptable. Happy with the room rates . Everything is a copy of Ibis Hotel concept. Strange noise when resting in the night could be from pipes of engine, had to leave TV sound on to cover up through the night. A bit freaky.

My room was clean, modern, and simple, with a nice inland and street view from the 6th floor, and located on Patak road within easy walking distance to the Karon beach and nightlife. The staff were friendly and helped with local calls to tour operator and taxi, and provided beach towels and umbrellas. Breakfast was free and nice. The downsides were twin bed when I requested king, they overcharged for taxi to and from hotel (I cancelled and booked my own taxi for several hundred bhat less), awful smells emanating from the shower drain and/or toilet, and a maid that was a little too thorough that threw out some important slips of paper.

Мы обычно берём номер с видом на горы, немного дороже, зато спокойно, и ничего не мешает ночному отдыху.
Жаль персонал не говорит по русски совсем.
Завтраки стандартные, ничего особенного, но и голодными мы не оставались.
В общем отель нам нравится.
Большие номера, не тесно.
Всем хорошего отдыха.

Rommet var svært romslig med en fin balkong vi brukte mye. Frokosten var svært bra. Et lite minus må være at hotellet ikke har basseng. Det burde de nok ha ut fra pris. På den andre siden tok det bare noen få minutter ned til stranda.
De fleste gjestene på hotellet var russere. Det var nok tilfellet ellers på Karon også.
I gatene rundt hotellet var det mange spisesteder og barer.

Отель выбираем уже второй раз.Первый-был отличный.В этот раз что-то пошло не так...Мы отдыхали с грудным ребёнком.Никаких люлек, кроваток не предоставляют(не знаю, почему). Номер дали с видом на шумную улицу(пометка про ребёнка была), когда мы попросили поменять номер на другую сторону, ответ был: с доплатой. когда мы не согласились на доплату, сказали , что номеров нет свободных.После, мы согласились на доплату и ответ был: через несколько дней.Конечно же, через несколько дней номер нам никто не поменял.
Ответ: заняты все номера.
Ну ок.
Вывод: с детьми выбирайте другой отель.
Питание: завтрак. Ничего изощренного.Яичница, рис, лапша, сосиски, салаты, тосты, кофе.Скромно и есть можно.Если надоест, сходите позавтракать в кафе рядом, но там тоже самое, только за деньги.))
