The hotel was fantastic and surprised us with a room upgrade for us and our sons on arrival and also ensured we had adjoining rooms. The rooms are fantastic and I love the fact you can just walk out onto the patio and straight into the pool. Our only complaint would be that our bed in room 263 was extremely hard and we had no smoking rooms but then the hotel put two guests in the room next to our sons who smoked, so each time they were on their patio area it made our sons go into their room. Their were also guests smoking in the pool itself which was a bit off putting. That aside I'd definitely book this hotel again, short walk to the beach and many restaurants and they also have taxi drivers available on their forecourt area. The staff are wonderful and the whole hotel had a nice vibe

This was me and my husband's first trip to Thailand. We had a wonderful experience as a whole. The resort was beautiful and is surrounded by greenery and is well maintained. It's also central to everything with plenty of food options within walking distance. The room was lovely and the private pool was divine! It provided us with the private experience we were seeking. The staff were beyond amazing, helpful and friendly. They were always happy to greet and assist our every question and need. The only minor thing is that I would've liked to see a gluten free bread station at the breakfast buffett like most resorts worldwide do being that I'm gluten intolerant. The staff however were lovely in guiding me to a supermarket that stocked gluten free products which was about 15 mins from the resort. I would definitely recommend the resort and we would come back and stay in the future when visiting Thailand.

Good option after those on the beach

It was generally good. The food was a bit of an disappointment. Fruits and salads at the breakfast were not fresh. Cereal options were poor. Juices did not look fresh either.
The location is okay - it does take over 20 mins to the beach on foot. But obviously cheaper for the space quality than those on the beach.
Staff were efficient when I had a minor injury to provide first aid and arranged a visit to the clinic. Also the manager was kind and accommodating when I requested to change the room.

Simply, this room should not have been sold to us and should have been blocked for scheduled renovation works. After a difficult few years we paid extra for a pool villa for the peace and privacy. The first few days were pleasant until it became apparent that all rooms either side were being painted and renovated. The smell of paint was initially a minor inconvenience, then any peace was shattered when the builders moved in resulting in the room being uninhabitable between 9-5pm each day. The noise from various power tools together with the smell of construction adhesives, paint and workers smoking under the shared verandah made it unpleasant to use the courtyard. We could not operate the air conditioning during the day as it pulled the chemical smells into the room. We had no option other than to leave the room until work finished around 5pm each day. Resort staff were lovely, but we firmly blame resort management for not blocking this one room off when extensive renovations had been scheduled.

The property is amazing. Have stayed before and will again in a heartbeat. the staff are all so friendly and accomodating and cant do enough for you. If budget allows stay in a private pool villa. So peacful and great to be able to have your own private pool when you want a bit of alone time.

We love the 'Canals' that link most of the rooms in this hotel, it's great to have access to the water directly from your room. What we didn't like was the fee of 900THB (43AUD) for a late checkout at 14:30, an extension of 2.5 hours. This is our fourth trip at this hotel, where we stay for around 11 nights each occasion. You'd have thought a 2.5 hours late checkout could have been accommodated free of charge.

The complete setup of the property was fantastic, from the private pool Villas, normal villas with swimming canals out the front of them, to the bars and restaurant.
Staff were very accommodating. To be of service within the resort and also with information about what to see outside of the resort.
The location is good, just far enough away from the noise but near enough to walk to.

The overal stay was ok but not good enough for what is supposed to be a 4* hotel. The communal lobby and pool was nice as was the pool bar. The staff we’re also very friendly. Unfortunately the rooms were dated and needed maintenance as did the pools that came up to the room.

The big thing that let our stay down was on the first night we were awoken at 4am to rustling in the room and then subsequent sqeeking. Quiet a large mouse had gotten into our room we think from the shower drain as the cover was off I obviously freaked out. My partner got the man at the desk who with another colleague chased the mouse around our room for 10minutes until they killed it in front of us. I was shaken by the experience and while the staff were friendly we got offered no apologies, compensation or even to change rooms. For the rest of the stay I was scared it would happen again. Two doors down from us that room also had a mouse trapped in there bathroom so it seems to be an issue. Unfortunately this ultimately ruined our stay for us.

Absolutely brilliant hotel, yes some parts may need sprucing up and repainted however the important areas are faultless. I was a solo traveller and the staff were very accommodating, within an hour of my arrival i had asked to move rooms as my first room was overlooking the restaurant and pool bar which i thought would be too public for myself. The breakfast in the hotel is great and I would definitely recommend bed and breakfast. a thing to note is that the room is provided with 2 beach towels and they are replaced whenever needed, this is the same for 2 bottles of water per day. The hotel is in close proximity to a number of restaurants and bars including mama jin which is always very popular. Overall Access is a great hotel for relaxing and exploring the nearby area.

Overall, we liked the Access Resort but would stay at some other place if we could find a better deal.

Very friendly and helpful reception staff always greeted you with a smile and always remembered you.

Housekeeping were thorough and kept the room clean and tidy.

Great location close to lots of restaurants and bars and only 10min walk to the beach.

Pool access was a major plus. Gave us privacy yet immediate access to a cool dip.

Staff were wonderful, but they would be wonderful wherever they worked.
The resort needs a bit of maintenance as tiles are falling off everywhere in the pool.
The pricing is quite expensive for any in house food/drinks and it's a bit of a walk to get to the main area in Karon.
We wouldn't stay here again

This is my second stay here. It is the perfect accomodation if you are looking for privacy with the immediate pool access off each balcony and the pool bar nicely placed in the middle. The unique pool and room layout is the real gem with this property. Delivery of room service by canoe is a little quirky and fun, again allows full privacy if you prefer this. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There has been a nice overdue refurbishment completed recently. There is not much of note around the immediate area.. although you can get everything easily enough, it is all there, just nothing special. It is a 15min walk to the beach and shops which is along the mostly un-footpathed road, you need to dodge the motorbikes and traffic.

It’s a nice little resort but needs better maintenance. Absolute selling point is the pool access which was great! Staff are friendly and food was quite ok. On the downside - Karon, Kata and Patong are awful so would never go back to these areas. Smelly, dirty, busy, ordinary beach. Go somewhere else in Thailand that hasn’t become a tourist tip. Not the hotels fault.

Really Disappointed

The ending to my trip really summed it up. On the day I was leaving to go home I picked up a croissant only to be hounded by a number of staff noting that it was not takeaway. I had felt sick and could not eat at that moment. I wasn’t helping myself to a full course. I felt it very unnecessary the way that I was treated and by numerous people. Me and my husband were on our honeymoon and after reading numerous reviews I thought this celebration would be acknowledged, which it wasn’t. We stayed at the hotel for 13 days 5 of which was drilling work due to their New Year’s Eve event and fire safety, which was left unfinished and covered by wood by the remainder of our time there. Lastly the appeal of the room service by boat, I would request this otherwise you just get a knock at the door.

No direct access to beach

Pro: Our room had a back porch that was connected to the pool so you could walk out of your room right into a pool with a wet bar.
Cons: The \"resort\" is about a 20 minute walk to the beach, but there isn't really a clear path to get their on foot. You basically have to walk in the main road all the way through town because other hotels block easy access to the beach. They offer a shuttle, but it only runs twice a day and will not bring you back to the hotel so except to use taxis a lot. The sewage system is not great so the room smelled like sewage often. They offer a free breakfast, but you get what you pay for so don't expect much there. We ordered room service once and they bring it on a lunch tray. Presumably cooked by the same people that provide breakfast.

Average hotel in a convenient location

I would call this hotel average at best. We originally booked a room in the blue wing which had issues with the hot water but the hotel manager was quick to resolve the issue and upgrade us to a room with a private pool. He was very kind and we appreciated his efforts very much. Our upgraded room was nice and spacious. The beds however were not very comfortable as it was only a boxspring with a thin mattress pad. The upkeep of the hotel grounds and the room could have been much better. It does look a bit run down as it is on the older side. The breakfast buffet was okay. There was not a lot selection but the food was not too bad. The hotel itself is on the cheap side so as long as you are looking for a budget hotel and are willing to overlook its flaws and lack of comfort, this could still be an option for you.

WOW-Fantastic place to stay ,pool access all rooms

Everything about this place is top notch , the staff are in traditional Thai Dress , nothing is too much trouble .
The pool access direct from room feels very luxurious, private. The tropical grounds / plants are beautiful. Room service was brought by boat . Wow -we were made to feel very special .
I always thought I could never afford to stay in a place like this but got a great deal with Expedia.
Had a relaxing massage in spa .
Food was lovely . Breakfast a bit pricey .
Big comfy bed. I could go on and on .

Place was amazing. Enjoyed the fact it was close to local restaurants. Highly recommend to eat at Mama Jin breakfast menu is nothing but high class. The pool at the hotel was very refreshing. It was very hard to find cheap transport as they have a taxi stand already outside of the hotel but with fix prices. We would walk to the main town in Karon which was a 10 minute walk and catch a tuk tuk which was cheaper.

Lovely quiet hotel away from the hustle the bustle

Loved out stay in Phuket. The Access resort is away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist streets of Phuket so it is very quiet around the hotel. It was very clean and the staff were very kind and helpful. We stayed in a private pool room so it was nice to have an early morning or late night splash because the main pools hours close at 6pm.

The only downside is the constant taxi/tuktuk rides into town chip away are you money so we ended up hiring a motorbike from Access resorts for 300baht a day - way more cost effective than constant taxi rides. Id only recommend this if you are a bike rider yourself as riding the roads of Thailand can be scary for the inexperienced. I'm lucky my husband is a motorbike enthusiast!

We've stayed at access four times now. Love that the pool is at our doorstep and we also enjoy the walk to the beach which is about 1km. The staff are friendly and accomodating. You can have breakfast by the pool or walk 5 minutes to an Italian coffee shop. There's a market next door where you can buy drinks and snacks. Access has become our home way from home.

Had a fantastic 9 night stay at this hotel. Staff is extremely friendly and trying to help all the time. They work really hard, cleaning, maintenance, cooking and serving you. Stayed for 3 nights in July; very relaxing in clear and comfortable accommodation.
Only used the restaurant once, the evening of our departure.
Food was very good with bigger portions that restaurants in the town.
Had to check out for 12 but with a midnight flight the hotel were very accommodating letting us the facilities for the rest of the day and proving a room for shower and changing before our return flights.
Very pleasant, would recommend.

Annoying chinese tourist (not racist but im just stating facts). We tried room service i thought will be serve in that little boat but they just serve us thru our front door. Water is rusty. Food is nice tho. I love the pool is just infront of our room. You can take a dip anytime of the day. Mama Jin outside the hotel is also a nice place to eat.

A recommended hotel to stay for those who came to Phuket for the first time. There's a very nice Vegetarian café \"Oo Farm\" within 5 minutes walking distances. Easily assessable to foods, market, mini marts.
Would recommend to hire a bike for travelling around. A very good experience!!!

Lovely clean pool, very friendly and helpful staff

There are some renovations going on at present but are not effecting customers. This will improve the dinning, sitting and reception area and make it took lovely and modern. We got upgraded half way through our 10 day stay which was not expected due to the inconvieniance of the renovations. Lovely room on blue. Will definitely be staying here again within the next year as the entrance to the pool from your room is amazing and only really offered in 5 star hotels and very expensive. Love this hotel.

Fantastic staff & perfectly clean rooms.
Main pools that all hotel rooms access is very run down, broken tiles etc but water perfectly clean & swim up bar. We stayed in Private Pool Suite and our pool was perfect NO cracked tiles, NO mould, very clean water, room was perfect. Only bad thing was VERY hard bed.

Good location - good convenience stores, restaurants & massage places just outside hotel. 15 min walk to Karon Beach front, hotel shuttle free at 10am & 1pm.

Buffet Breakfast - good value if included in hotel room but don't eat at hotel if not included as it costs 350 Baht and this is expensive. Can get good brekky at nearby cafes for much less and better variety. Brekky was egg station, ham, croissants, muffins or danishs, fruit, yogurt, Asian range of rice, stir fries, curries & soup.

Overall good value for money as you can jump straight in pool after Thailand's hot & humid weather. **TIP** Hire scooter from hotel for 300 baht/day as they are trustworthy. Outside scooter hire requires you to give over your passport as collateral!!!!

Quiet, clean, well run hotel with friendly happy staff and unique layout with access to a pool from your own private patio.
We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay and would happily recommend this hotel to friends and family. The photos are a very accurate portrait of the hotel. A feeling of peace with palm trees waving in the breeze and views of the hills in the distance. All the bustle of nearby streets is kept away so that guest can relax and yet a good selection of restaurants are only walking distance away.

Good place for a good price

Our stay at Access was pleasant. We were able to enjoy the connecting pool almost every day. The room was nice and clean and large overall. There was AC in the room, but it was pretty hot outside so it had difficulty cooling the room in the morning when the sun was out. We rented a motorbike for 400THB FOR 24 hours and it was the way to go. The beach and activities are a bit far to walk so this was a great solution. The only actual complaint that I have is that the bed and pillows were too hard. And the breakfast buffet was way too expensive about 500THB. We found an awesome restaurant called the elephant cafe to the left of the hotel (about four minutes walk).

Spent 2 nights with my wife and teen son. Room was clean and comfortable. Food was good and love the boat delivering on the lazy river. Location not friendly for walkers, cars and motorcycles speeding on main road. The hotel was to nice to be in these part of Phuket.

Wow - what a great place to stay, the staff we're great, very friendly, would def come back here, the loaction was good nice and quiet, but with everything close by, you can walk through another resort to get to Karon beach if needed, or get the free shuttle that runs twice a day, do some good shopping in Karon - it is great. Use the staff to book excursions they make it seamless - what a amazing drive on our last day too - couldn't have had better

Nice hotel with swim around pool for each room

A relatively good value and unique hotel with a swimming pool around each room (although more a gimmick rather than useful). Good location and an easy 10-15 min walk to main Karon beach. Can easily catch a local public bus to Phuket and Kata for 30 Baht just outside the hotel. Rooms are nicely air conditioned. Food in restaurant is relatively expensive compared to other nearby restaurants.

Nice quiet hotel - all staff were excellent

We stayed 10 nights here at end of November. We found the hotel very nice but very quiet location - ideal for chilling out - which was what we wanted. It was a good 15 minute walk into Carron Beach or a further 5 minutes to Kata Beach going the other way - but the hotel did offer free shuttle bus to Carron Beach twice daily. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to please you. Very quiet hotel with nothing much else going on but then you can walk 15 minutes either way and there was plenty of action.

Relaxing and romantic.

A lovely way to start or end a holiday in Phuket. The pools are romantic and very few children ever. A nice resort away from the hustle and bustle of Patong. We have seen improvements, since our last stay, other then their pool bars.

Fabulous !

So far after many trips to Thailand, this was the best resort that i have stayed at. It may be in need of a makeover? and the bathroom looks a little tired, but look beyond that and you have beautiful, calm relaxing place to stay ! Rooms were large and had everything you could possibly need, bathroom was large and shower pressure was excellent.
The one thing that made my stay so enjoyable was the pool access ! And being low season, it was like having your own pool, with hardly anyone in the pool at the same time. We stayed in the blue wing away from the main reception area and it was very quiet with no road noise whatsoever. The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful and made you feel welcome. Did not have meals at the hotel as it was half the price elsewhere (there is an excellent restaurant across the road, Mama Jins) also a 24 hr supermarket 2 minutes away. Location is a bit far from the beach about 20 minutes walk, but we used the hotel shuttle one way and walked back (shortcut through the Old Phuket Hotel made it very easy !) I would not hesitate to stay here again if ever in Phuket !

If you're going to Phuket - BOOK THIS HOTEL

From start to finish we were met with nothing but the upmost respect from staff members. We're a young gay couple looking to travel and experience the world, the holiday was very reasonable for our budget and coming to this hotel, you would think everything but.

The hotel staff are polite, attentive and professional. They engage with you on a personal level, and if you need anything, they're there to help straight away. The hotel is immaculate and the rooms are just divine. We booked the top room in the blue wing and were beyond ecstatic when we arrived, and this feeling lasted throughout.

One thing to be aware of is of course Chinese tourists in low season, not down to the hotel of course! but due to such a beautiful and serene hotel, many Chinese visit come throughout low season, and bring the noise, attitude and rudeness with them. Not noisy when you're in the room, but after hours swimming is a nuisance, my personal advise is to get in the pool and have a splish splash, they will go in minutes, and you have the whole pool to yourself, ideal!

Just do yourself a favour, honestly forget hotels in the area and book this one! You will not regret!

on 1st appearance we found the resort to be lovely, nice big rooms beautiful gardens and the pool at our back door was just incredible, we went off peak so was very quite but pleasing, unfortunatley because so quiet the pool bars were not manned. we would recommend this resort and would stay again

Beautiful Oasis

Breathtakingly beautiful hotel. When we arrived, we were greeted with cold drinks and showed to our room, which was large and clean. It had a great deck, with large lounge chairs, and direct access into the pool filled with fountains and surrounded by palm trees. Very private and relaxing. There is a cute little swim up pool bar, and if you order room service, the staff will deliver it to your room by boat in the pool. The food at the hotel is also excellent and reasonably priced. After four days there, I was sad to leave this hotel.

I would absolutely recommend this hotel and go back any time.

Stayed for 4 nights, pool not big but nice and clean. Not much food selection of breakfast. Room nice and money worth. However, the resort got a lot of different group daily, it made the area bit crowd and noisy.

Amazing resort and great location

We got in Phuket and this was our first hotel we stayed in. When we booked we just wanted to have somewhere nice to relax after 20+ hours flight(s). We kind of knew what to expect from the hotel due to the pictures of the listing but boy were we pleasantly surprised when we got there.

Amazing pool that circles around the resort, extremely friendly staff, excellent location close to bars and restaurant and very decent room service food makes this hotel a really good one in my opinion. If you are thinking of going there, book the hotel now you won't regret it!

A little disappointing.

Pros:
- Great sized pool and excellent swim up bar.
- Room cleanliness
- Good location if you want something a little more quiet than Patong.

Cons:
- mosquito's plagued our room
- hot water in shower took nearly 2 days to fix to our whole block
- The pool was far too hot it was like soup. The whole point of a pool is to cool down
- Very hard pillows and mattress
