The gardens were beautiful. The location is amazing. The staff are lovely. The food is good, pizzas are great at Caio. It's a nice mix of relaxing but close to the action. Great with kids, our 7 year old loved the slides.

I was there for my daughters wedding at the resort.Our room werent cleaned everyday and fresh towels,shampoo etc were not given and they lacked in communication and we always had to follow up. Bed was comfortable staff was always very polite but overall if i had to go to phuket again i would not choose to stay there again as it was was quite stressful with the language barrier.

This is a nice 4 star resort with beautiful gardens and landscape. Multiple pools provide sufficient space for guests during off peak season. Water slides provided lots of fun for the kids.

The breakfast buffet was very nice with a good spread from continental, Indian and local choices, changed everyday. Quality of food is equivalent to a 4 star resort, with spread and variety almost comparable to a 5 star resort.

The gardens, pools and common area are nicely kept albeit dated, and staff friendly and helpful.

There's a small animal petting area which my kids loved, as well as daily activities to keep guests occupied.

And now the cons; the resort is dated and most of the buildings reflected so, with stained and weathered walls and tiles everywhere. The rooms are old with tiny TV (<32\"?) compared to today's standards, with broken sound system in my room. The AC was old, loud and produced an incessant drone that affected our sleep. The shower did not have a constant supply of hot water so showers alternated between cold and warm every 30 seconds. There are a lot of ongoing upgrade works in the resort which can be a little noisy if you're staying in the resort during the day.

The hotel seems nice enough, but we experienced so many issues with it.
1. This is a “VIP” hotel but no amenities were offered.
2. The place is a maze and even the restaurant staff said we were placed in the farthest most area of the hotel. Bell from the restaurant had to walk us to our room as we would never have found it on our own.
3. They’re under a lot of renovation but we should have been advised of it when we checked in. Even better, it should be noted on their Expedia page.
4. These renovations caused power to go out intermittently, so no AC, TV or in-room phone access to the front desk. Calling on my mobile didn’t work as no one picked up. So, when I needed to access front desk or room service, I had to take the very long walk to get access to service.
5. On the second day, we wanted to use the pool waterslides before checking out but was told it was not operational due to power outages.
6. The “offered daily” pizza classes had to be ordered 1-day in advance but that was not disclosed in the hotel info. Bell, the very nice gal from the restaurant, tried to accommodate but it was too late in the day also due to power outages.
7. The housekeeping is OK, but we opened a packet of shower cap and found the box empty.
8. Hopefully it’s due to renovations…the shower water came out brownish.
9. Upon sharing our experience at check-out, front desk did nothing to retain loyalty. Not even a free pool day pass. Nothing.
Not likely to return soon.

Lovely clean room with an awesome size balcony.

The pool and waterslides are great for kids, even the 3yo was happy going down on their own.

Breakfast was one of the best buffet breakfasts we’ve had, even after many resorts and Thailand visits.

The beach and swell is strong, however nice to sit on the beach and have mornin strolls before the wind picks up.

Kids club and petting zoo is great also, animals are well loved and fed!

My only gripe with the rooms would be outdated TV’s and power plugs don’t have usb plug in options, apart from these minimal things, a lovely stay.

Amazing family stay

Slides pool and petting zoo are superb for family with children. Good location whereby marts, eateries, shops are just a short walking distance. Beach is just across the road. My kids are so happy that they do not wanna leave the hotel. Our room was so nicely decorated for my girl’s birthday. Couldn’t thank the hotel staffs enough. We love the bed, everyone had such a good sleep. Amazing stay.

This property is a great choice for families with young children. The facilities are kid-friendly, and there’s plenty of space for them to play and have fun. However, if you’re a couple or a solo traveler looking for peace and quiet—especially by the pool—this might not be the ideal place for you. There is no adults-only pool, so the main pool area is often filled with children jumping, playing, and making quite a bit of noise throughout the day.

Also, if you plan to go out late at night or enjoy nightlife, the location might feel a bit inconvenient, as it’s more family-oriented and quiet in the evenings. Overall, it’s perfect for a fun family getaway, but less suited for those seeking relaxation or a more adult-focused experience.

My only gripe would be it’s a shame food and drinks are a lot more expensive inside the resort. Made you spend out of the resort a lot, mainly because we were a family of 9

We were going to go to different parts of Phuket at a different hotel but we canceled the next hotel to stay at Thavron longer! Fantastic rooms, staff, location, food. Breakfast is great with lots of selection. Note that there seems to not be lots of other breakfast options around. It is across the road from the beach. They give you beach towels that you can chance out. Staff is so kind and accommodating. Rooms have huge beds, AC, quiet. Front staff will get you ride to anywhere for better than the grab or bolt apps. Shops and bars right down the street. Lots of selection. Great pools. Highly highly recommend! We are coming back with the family in a couple years.

The staff was super friendly and very attentive, not only at breakfast but everywhere. We really liked having the 4 pool options. The secret garden and grounds were lovely; took lots of pictures. The overall stay was fantastic. Awesome property. Close to the beach. Clean. Good and comfy Beds (Family Fun Room with bunk beds). Kids friendly. My kids enjoyed the slides.
Being a vegetarian there was a very very limited food options and very few Thai options overall. We wanted to eat Thai in the hotel but there were not many options which was a bit surprising.
But there's lot of restaurants around the hotel which covers it.

We had a great time and in general the hotel was fabulous. It is however a little tired in places. They are currently undergoing building work on a new restaurant and although this has no impact on leisure facilities, the hotel does suffer from not having additional restaurant options in the evening. All the Staff we encountered were fantastic and i would have no hesitation in returning.

The property it self is looking a rather run down. Rooms are dated with very hard mattresses. Staff throughout the facility were amazing, friendly and great English. Works were being performed in pool area with alide however other pools had sharp edged tiles, missing grout and again run down. Kids play centre was no bigger than a single car garage and became very crowded at times. Centrally located along Karon beach with a short stroll in either direction to market stalls, food and convenience stores.

We had a lovely relaxing week away. Loved the swim out room we had, would be good if they played different songs around the pool areas rather than 5 songs on repeat for hours and some of them were not very appropriate for the setting. Also the gardens could do with some weeding.
Very central to the area, easy to get around, across from the beach was nice for a quick swim or view the sunset or a morning stroll.

Huge hotel. Been around for many years but the rooms are updated which is good. 3 different pools all with bars offering happy hours and breakfast buffet is good quality. Beach right across the road is clean and peaceful. Short walk off the property to restaurants, stores, bars nearby. Lots of activities for kids as well, petting zoo and kids club. Good choice to stay here.

It’s a very old hotel. Strange smell. Air conditioning is leaking and the floor gets wet by early morning. If you are not careful can slip and hurt yourself. Bed bugs on the bed . I don’t have anything good to say about it.

Hotel is OK. The room was clean. Beds are very hard. Stayed at a standard room w king bed which is 2 beds put together. The hotel is outdated. It’s definitely family friendly. Kids everywhere even in the pool bar area. Kids jumping and splashing everywhere. Food is average. Do not order a Caesar salad unless you want it with a fried egg. Not the best hotel , not the worst. You have to cross the street to go to the beach. Then you have to pay extra for umbrellas and chair.
Ok hotel for a short stay. 1-2 days max. The hotels are better in Kata Beach or Kata noi. Phuket is very busy. If you can, stay at Phe Phe Island. This was my first time going to Thailand. Next time I will stay there. Thailand is a beautiful and people are very warm and welcoming.

까론비치에 어울리는 아름다운 리조트 였지만

까론 비치 바로 앞에 위치하여 비치 접근성이 만족스럽고, 오랜 시간이 지난 만큼 세월의 흐름의 느낌이 좋은 정원을 가지고 있는 리조트.

1) 우선 시설내 직원들은 대부분 친절하지만 일부 그렇지 못하고 비 숙련되어 능숙하지 못한 업무 태도를 가진 스탭들이있어 그리 유쾌하지 못한 기억부터 남는다. (저녘에 식당 이용시)

2) 우리가 머무는 동안 리조트 본관(?) 별관(?) 까지 이용객의 배치될 정도였으나 리조트내 조식당은 1개소만 운영 중으로 거의 아침 마다 자리를 기다려야 하는 상황이다. 아울러 이해가 되지 않던 부분은 예약시 조식 이용에 대한 옵션을 나열하고 필요시 조식 비용을 포함한 금액으로 예약을 할 수 있게 되어있지만, 실제 이용시 여러 방향으로 유입되는 투숙객의 체크가 구조적으로 될 것 같지 않고, 중앙 출입구에 설치된 이용객 확인용 데스크엔 직원이 자주 자리를 비워 일부 이용객은 조식 이용의 허용 여부 확인 없이 식당을 이용하는 일들이 빈번이 나타나고 있다. 물론 대부분 정직하게 식당을 이용하겠지만, 사전에 조식에 대한 금액을 이용한 이용객입장에선 불편하고, 불합리한 운용 상태로 느껴질 것이다.

3) 오랜전과 다르게 수영장의 1개소는 시설개선으로 슬라이드의 신규 설치가 있다. 3개소의 슬라이드가 있으며, 거의 45도에 가까울 것 같은 슬라이드만 수면과의 착지에 주의를 기울이며 안전하게 이용한다면 거의 기다림 없이 재밌게 이용할 수 있다.

4) 아쉽게도 대부분 수영장의 수질은 그리 좋지 못했다. 비치를 이용한 후 샤워 없이 바로 입수하는 일부 투숙객 들이 수질에 영향을 주는 주요 요소로 보이지만, 수영장 수면으로 곤충, 낙엽, 그리고 유제 성분의 얇은 막이 보이기도 하니 상시 기분 좋게 이용하긴 힘들다. 그나마 시설관리 직원들이 부유물에 대한 제거를 하긴 하지만 수질의 정화 시스템 용량 부족이나 시스템 문제가 있는 것이 아닌가 싶다. 왜냐하면 아침, 저녘 단 한번도 그렇지 않은 상태를 볼 수 없었던 기억만 있으니까.

5) 리조트에서 비치로 이동시 짧은 폭의 횡단이긴 하나 예전엔 리조트 가드가 있어 투숙객의 이동시 안전 확보에 도움이 되었다면 이젠 더 이상 그런 도움은 받을 수 없는 것 같다. 더구나 지금의 그 도로는 예전의 그 한가로운 도로가 아니며, 많은 수의 차량 등이 거의 질주하는 상태이기에 더 아쉬운 부분이다. 아울러 그렇기에 외부에서 리조트로 들어오는 인원에 대한 기본 적인 확인이 이루어 지지 않는다. 이는 비치에서 리조트로 들어오려는 외부인원이 바로 수영장과 슬라이드를 제약 없이 이용할 수 있다는 문제를 발생하게 된다.

6) 리조트 주변에 있던 많은 수의 식당 들은 사라지거나, 유지되었더라도 예전처럼 저렴하지도, 그렇다고 오른 가격 대비 음식의 품질과 양이 보장되지 않는다. 너무 많은 관광객들로 저녘 시간이면 자리조차 바로 보장되지 않은 상태이다.

We stayed here for one night before moving on to another property. The room was very tired. My daughter had a roll away bed which was so u comfortable she was unable to sleep in it. The beds are very hard as to are the pillows. The service did not live up to the hotel rating at all. Breakfast was very mediocre. The surface around the pool is so sharp and hard on your feet.

It’s a good resort and we were enjoyed the time with our kids especially the pool slides. However the facilities may need to renovate because they are a bit old. Overall it’s good and happy to return.

We had a wonderful 8 nights here over New Year’s Eve. Can’t fault the place. My dad who was on the trip is already booking again. The staff and facilities were excellent. We booked 2 excursions from the hotel which was excellent. One minor thing I’d point out is the kids club room isn’t supervised so as a single parent who might want 10 minutes breather there was no opportunity to leave him there. But you could still access it. Overall I couldn’t fault it.

The Thavorn was everything we expected when booking online and more!!! A perfect resort for families or coupes. We couldn’t fault the service. And location is amazing. The vision of the founder to have ample green space was overly abundant and gave an amazing atmosphere
