Very beautiful hotel within the best spot in Lodz. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Room is spacious and very clean. Place is walking distance to train station and has a lot of restaurants around. Great value for money.

Nice stuff, convenient location. Double bed is really small and positioned between two walls so if you are taller than 170 cm or 5’7” you can’t stretch, also the window covers were broken and not sufficient to darken the room. It was quiet on Sunday night but I am not sure about summer week day since this is located next to several restaurants. Overall good stay

The location is perfect, and the room is more than adequate. I got the attic room with air conditioning, and it worked great. In case you are worried, the ceiling was not too low for me - I am 175cm. TV could have more channels, and staff while efficient could be more communicative; I didn't get the WiFi password until I asked. Overall, I had a great stay.

It was one of the most beautiful places I've stayed in.
The reception was really friendly to help with anything.

The room was clean, spacious, comfortable bed, really good bathroom. The location is perfect.

Disappointed, was expecting more. Dirty and grubby

Very tired and grubby I’m afraid to say. Was looking forward to staying here based on previous reviews. My room 115 was small, the shower is barely big enough and in general the room was grubby. There is a building site opposite and work starts early around 7am so don’t expect peace and quiet. The location is good though, the rooms just need some tlc

A different experience

We had a fabulous stay in this well located hotel with such character and ambience.
we were on the main pedestrian street in the city and near to the bus station so it was ideal for touring the city.
There were lots of bars and eating places nearby so we did not have to travel too far.

Very interesting place, every apartment has a different movie theme and the hallways are decorated with old movie posters and actors photos and old movie equipment. The hotel is located in the city centre, off the main “walk only” street but it’s in the yard so the place is quiet. We were there on the week night so I don’t know how quiet it’s on the weekends as there are restaurants near by. The place has air conditioner so you may probably close all the windows. Bathroom is cute but there is not much shelf space ...not a big problem if you stay overnight only. The shower is on the small side unfortunately as there was a space for bigger one. The towels need to be replaced with the new ones or washed properly as they are no longer white. The buffet breakfast is served in a very interesting and original looking restaurant and is excellent. There is a big choice of cold cuts, salads, warm food and vegetables. Plenty of cereal to choose from and good coffee and big choice of teas. I do recommend that place and I will stay that again with pleasure.

In theory this is a lovely place - conveniently located with an interesting theme/\"hook\". The problem was lots of bad design:
* my room had no air-conditioning and was very hot and stuffy in the recent 30C+ weather
* I don't know whether opening the window(s) in my room would have helped - I didn't even try this as there was already a lot of noise from the narrow courtyard directly below the window coming into my room
* the layout of the room was peculiar, with the wardrobe at the foot of the bed and very little space around the door
* the bathroom had a number of design faults - a very small basin, and a small shower with the kind of lever tap that you invariably knock while washing yourself causing the water temperature or volume to change unwontedly

Lovely location, good atmosphere but crammed.

Has a potential to be great, however apartments are too small. There was not a lot of room to move around. Double bed was very small and uncomfortable. Loved the decor and little balcony. Despite intentional quirky feel the hotel could do with a little bit more loving, there were scuff narks on the walls etc. Friendly staff, delicious breakfast.

Usually always stay here for business. Rooms are boutique like, always interesting. Very clean, wifi could be improved a little but i've had different experiences in different parts of the hotel, usually it's very reliable. Excellent location. There isn't a lift here but it is an old classic building so it isn't to be expected, just be aware if stairs aren't your thing. The hotel staff always offer to carry your luggage which is very helpful and kind!

Special place

I recommend this hotel to people who do not seek for standard hotel experience, but something different. The interior design is interesting, depicting various periods in the Polish history, with a special focus on the cinema history. All in all it makes a really unique experience.

Cramped and paper thin walls

2nd night but different room. Stayed in the Seven Year itch double room. Strange cramped arrangement of the room . Very poor sound proofing , had to endure the groans of the couple next door getting frisky. Would avoid this room next time. Stay in the pink panther room !

It could have been a good place, but it was not

Nice hotel with a lot of selfie spots yet.... Staff is clueles about almost anything, from room type to breakfast recommendations. Waste of space. The place itself is new, but apears to be cleaned by 6 year old, who vacuums only if watched over.

A gem of a hotel right near Piotrkowska.

In Lodz for a cinema conference and stayed at this lovely recommended hotel with a film theme. The room was gorgeous with lots of space and light. I had the Robert Redford room. :) Great location, near the main Piotrkowska Street and Off-Piotrkowska district. Very attentive staff. My train was early Sunday morning, and they restaurant staff accommodated my schedule even though they open later on Sundays. I would gladly stay there again on any future trip to bustling Lodz.

Great Location, Just What We Needed

It is not large or fancy but is in a great location on the main street. We rented a car and parking in the lot was free and convenient, but difficult due to how narrow the driveway was. I was pleased with the accommodations overall and would return if in the area again.

Excellent Central Location in Lodz

The Stare Kino Cinema hotel is in a great location just off of Piotrowska street in downtown Lodz. The hotel offers a fun theme and while central it is set in a small courtyard just off the main street making it a bit more quiet. The rooms were clean with nice amenities. Our room had doors that allowed us to overlook the courtyard and get fresh air. Overall Stare Kino is recommended particularly for its value.

Svårt att hitta till hotellets parkering. Man ska svänga in på en gata där biltrafik är förbjuden, och sen in i en trång port. Bokningsbekräftelsen gäller som tillstånd för att köra in på gatan.

Vistelsen på Stare Kino var en positiv överraskning. Ett trevligt hotell, ett välutrustat rum, sköna sängar, bra service och jättegod frukost. En extra bonus var filmen i hotellets egen biograf, som ingick i priset.

Ett rum tre trappor upp utan hiss var inget problem för oss men kan såklart vara bra att känna till när man bokar.

Wer etwas ganz Besonderes haben möchte, dem kann ich das Hotel ans Herz legen. Es ist ein altes umgebautes Kino, das zu einem hervorragendem Hotel umgebaut wurde. Jede Zimmer haben Filmmottos. Wir wohnten im Appartement 121 mit dem Filmmotto Titanic. Wenn man das Gebäude zur Rezeption betritt, wird man von der ersten Minute an begeistert sein. Das Personal war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Parkmöglichkeiten bestehen direkt auf dem Hotelgelände. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und mit ganz viel Liebe eingerichtet. In einer Minute ist man direkt zu Fuß in der Innenstadt und es ist super ruhig gelegen. Vielen Dank für den unvergesslichen Aufenthalt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Interessantes Hotel

Schöne Zimmer Super Frühstück aber leider keine Hinweise auf den fehlenden Fahrstuhl wenn die Zimmer im 4 Stockwerk sind Parkplatz leider Kostenpflichtig genauso das umbuchen aus dem 4 Stock in den 1 Stock

Przytulny hotel w centrum miasta

Kameralny hotel z pomysłem, przyjemnie się w nim zatrzymać. Szkoda, ze było zbyt późno, by skorzystać z kina dla gości. Położony w centrum Lodzi ale cichy i mozna otworzyć okno.
Doskonałe śniadanie, bardzo miła obsługa.
Jedyne czego mi brakowało w pokoju, to lampka nocna.Polecam i chętnie tam wróce.

Great Hotel with a cinematic vibe .

Unique and wonderful hotel, with its Cinema theme, which befits the city as well. Every room has its own theme. The pentry is cool, and the staff is super friendly.This was my second time, and I would happily stay there again .

Hemtrevligt Hotell med karaktär. Udda men väldigt hemtrevligt. Deras bio tema är rakt igenom härligt. Tyvärr är jag inte så duktig på Polska skådespelare så det funkar inte riktigt på mig.
