The offer of this hotel is misleading to say that the least. Provided room wasn’t compliant with the offer. We need to pay forcadditional bed despite the fact that it was agreed prior that we won’t have. Also our request to have windows not on the street wasn’t fulfilled. TV wasn’t working - no channels there. Internet service in the room - almost unusable. I strongly do not recommend that hotel to anyone travelling with children.

Great choice for visiting Lodz Orientarium/Zoo (10min by taxi) and connections from Kaliska station but also if you prefer staying outside the city centre. There is a nice park just opposite the hotel and you can walk to the main busy Piotrkowska Street in about 30min or just take a bus or taxi (around 15-20PLN). The hotel has exceeded our expectations in terms of food and customer service. Plenty of choice for breakfast (slow pressed juice was a bonus), evening meal was also very good and tasty (zalewajka soup was ecxellent). But the real highlight was customer service at reception, restaurant, bar, technical support - professional but still friendly and human, it does not happen often nowadays...room was spacious, good firm bed, fridge, kettle, safe; overall very happy with our stay; morning swim at their pool on the 10th floor was a great start of the day.

One of the best in LODZ.

This was our second stay at Double Tree by Hilton in Lodz. This is a great hotel, very comfortable, great city/park views for the rooms and very welcoming staff. Easy parking. The only negative comment is regarding selection of TV channel list in English. There is no CNN, EuroNew, BBC or SkyNews just to name a few. This is unacceptable! And since our last visit over 20months ago, the hotel still didn't make any changes. We stayed in many lower class hotels in Poland with wonderful selection of English TV channels. DoubleTree by Hilton - time to step up!

Parking was easy. Staff was nice. Wide variety at breakfast. Make sure to book breakfast at booking or will be double the price. Very close to Piotrowska Street. Asked for extra towels and were delivered in less than 5 minutes.

Excellent stay for business trip

All round top business class hotel, clean and comfortable room with outside and underground parking options. Restaurant food and service was pleasantly good, though slightly on the expensive end for Poland. I enjoyed exercising in the public park opposite the hotel, though there is a indoor gym option too. Breakfast buffet had all the necessary international options along with a separate a la carte menu. We stay again when visiting.

Staying in Lodz in the summer

This range of Hilton Hotels in Poland are great and Lodz is no exception. We were on a driving Holiday through Poland and it was very easy to park outside. The rooms are well furnished and spacious and being a Hilton Honours member makes all the difference. Breakfast was excellent and this Double Tree offers its own natural honey to guests from its own hive on the roof. The Front desk ladies were smart and helpful and when we were checking out but staying a while longer in the City, they were most kind to store our rather volumous luggage's in their store room. The view from the swimming pool is superb over a large park and what is surprising is that Lodz is changing and well worth a few days stay to have a wander around and visit some of the excellent sites and we felt a few more days would have been worthwhile if we would have had time. Visit the Manufactura site which was an old textile mill and New Piotrkowska_Street has a wonderful atmosphere but just remember all restaurants close at 10pm ....ALL. The hotel gave us maps and advice and also we were able to get a taxi quickly and fast as the hotel have a good arrangement and we were not ripped of. Strongly recommend this Hotel both for quality and for value for money. Thanks for a nice stay.

Very good

We stayed on Wednesday 08/08 for one night. We had two huge rooms with giant king size beds. Both rooms were clean and perfectly presented. I had a problem with my TV that it would not work. We informed reception and it was fixed by the time we had had dinner. The restaurant was closed on Wednesday evening so we had to eat in the bar, the food was fantastic and the prices were very reasonable. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a very good hotel at reasonable prices.

Terrible staff and management

I had to change room 3 times with my family. Reporting faults and staff is giving reply as we checked nothing was wrong than i called another staff to the room he agree tv wasnt working. There was water heavy water leaking under the shower panel to the floor. In the first room heating system was ok but second room room was very cold than my daughter told me she slept in the cold room. Reception offer me electric heater and I laughed staying the Hilton hotel and will use electric heater. They offer different floor upgraded room to my self and same room type for my daughter this floor heating system was ok. Mean time I did send email to hotel manager which I got his business card from the reception but unfortunately he did not bother to reply. After complaints to the reception i was outside and looking staff behaviour they was laughing which it makes me nervous disrespectful reception staff. I arrived 31st December to the hotel and ask where we can have dinner in hotel and been told there is event in the hotel and fully booked been told. In the breakfast time staff was serving and was offering special orders or was bringing fresh carrot juice or apple juice to local customers but for tourists this option was not available we need to go and do our self and impression I had they care local customers only tourist is not important

A great hotel to stay at in Lodz

Spent 7 nights at the hotel very happy with my room large and well clean with a view looking over the park comfortable bed and definitely warmer than outside as winter was just about to start. Had room service one night for dinner which was good and enjoy breakfast each morning which had a great selection of food to choose from. Hotel reception were good marking details on maps and at times lending me a umbrella also pleasant to talk to.

Wonderful 3 day stay.

Perfect place.

Fine hotel, including restaurant, but a bit remote

Probably our only visit to this city, where I doubt we could have stayed at a better place pr even another as good. Removed from the old center of Lodz, but taxis are cheap. (Circumstances prevented our use of what appears to be a good public transportation system.)

The amenities would have been superb but the hot tub was not hot, only lukewarm. The pool water was decent however the temperature of the pool room was very chilly, so our swim was not very relaxing and neither was our time in the hot tub. Additionally, we were looking forward to sitting in the sauna after a morning workout, only to find out the sauna is only turned it on in the pm. So, we were disappointed once

Walking distance to everything

Superior hotel with amazing breakfast

This is very new hotel in pristine conditions, great specious bathrooms, TV set is the latest technology , bed mattress was very comfortable. But the best was breakfast buffet that included amazing selection of food and fresh vegetable juicer . I would defiantly come back here!

Very modern & relaxing hotel

First impressions as you appoach the hotel are of high quality and this shone throughout. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful which i must say made a big difference in relation to all the other people and places we visited during our time in Poland.
We ugraded to a 2 bedroom suite to which the young woman drafted up an excellent deal of only another £50 per night. Beautiful room, modern decor, comfortable beds, clean and bathrooms to die for.
Breakfast choice was excellent also with plenty on offer from cooked meats to fresh fruit.

Nice hotel, close to the airport, perhaps a little further out of town than some of the others. It took me about 20 minutes to walk to the main areas although taxis are very cheap here. The \"free to use pool, sauna and gym etc.\" were great and complimentary wifi is always welcome as it should in 2015!

Unexpected experience

Our staying was excellent!

First thing - the lobby, reception and the people there. Staff were very friendly, gave complimentary cookies (were really tasty) and keys from the room. Also staff recommend us room with better view.

The room was very clean and cozy. The kind-size bad was really comfortable. Bathroom was also clean and modern.

And here is unexpected experience - my wife got sick and we needed to see the doctor. Peter, the guy from staff, told us that the doctor will be only in 1-2 hours and suggested us to go to the hospital on the taxi. After he called the taxi he suggested to go with us.

Peter was really helpful, stayed with us for 2 hours helping to explain the issues to the doctors. We were blown away of this.

Only one you need to be aware of this hotel - it's location. It's not away from centre but you'll need to drive a car or take a taxi to get there.

We'll stay in this hotel every time we'll be in Lodz

Look no further. Nice pool, nice room, close to Wytwornia (concerts) and a park right in front of the hotel. Expensive parking (50 pln/day) as for Lodz.

Excellent value for money!

The room and facilities were excellent. Also, the staff went out of there way to help me in any way that they could. What's more, the room was one third of the price that I have to pay to stay in a Hilton hotel in Japan, where I live. The only draw back is the location of the hotel. However, for about 20 zloty you can get a taxi to the city centre.

A stylish contemporary hotel

This is a stylish, contemporary hotel. The staff was pleasant and helpful and spoke English (more or less). The fitness center is excellent and there is a sauna and steam room. The buffet breakfast is well worth it, costing about $16.00. My problem with the hotel is that it is a bit far from other places to visit in Lodz, like Manufaktura. There is also construction up and down the main street, so travel in town took a long time and was a bit more expensive by taxi than expected. But a really beautiful hotel.

It is a new hotel with very dedicated staff. I do not usually stay at Hilton, but I really liked this one. I am originally from Lodz, so no surprises about location, but I guess for new visitors it can come as a shock, because the city is going through some extensive works and hotel is surrounded by trucks and builders (this is due to be completed at the end of 2015). Having said that it's a walking distance to most of the attractions and city centre.

Great hotel in Lodz!

DoubleTree is really wonderfull place to stay in Lodz - new hotel with great design. Rooms are rather big, well equiped with huge TV and have great view from upper floors. The only disadventage is locaction, which is not so central (but Lodz Kaliska bus and train station is very close, what was convenient for me).

Lovely hotel, professional facilities and staff, clean, modern etc. Really convenient for the airport, maybe 20 minutes drive. Quite a walk from the main shopping street of Lodz, maybe 10 minutes. Its opposite a pleasant looking park, with a view of the heavy industry in the distance from my room. Nice and quiet despite being on the main road. Lodz is bigger than I thought, I was expecting to see the hotel towering in the distance, but you can't - you'll need a map or Satnav. Cheap considering the quality of the room and facilities.

I stayed in this hotel whilst working in nearby Strykow. The hotel is great and the service was outstanding. If I were to go back to the area I would book this hotel without bothering to look at other hotel prices. It was that good and I have already recommended it to other people.

Very good restaurant but otherwise average hotel

This hotel is probably awesome when compared to the other options in the area, but is otherwise nothing special with a few pluses an minuses that come together as an average overall hotel. The pluses were that the restaurant was very good (although a bit pricey), which was nice because there's nothing else within a reasonable walking distance so you're a bit trapped. The minuses were that while the bathroom was modern and nice, the water drained very slowly from the shower and sink, which made taking a normal duration shower impossible (due to the very low threshold between the shower pan and bathroom floor.

It was definitely one of my best hotel experiences I had ever. Hotel is brand new, exquisite design and maximum comfort. Staff are very polite and helpful. Pool and SPA facility is great and the town view is beautiful from the pool. Breakfast was awesome with fresh exclusive omlet and fresh juice. Do not forget the breakfast in room specially with that cheap price. Hotel also has a 3D cinema which can be used. well located.

The hotel is very close to the main train station and only 10 min walk from Piotrkowska Street. It has the typical American amenities: free ice, coffee/tea, large safe to stow your valuables away; free slippers, free cookie & nice robe for your stay. The room card needs to be inserted to activate your lights--of which I wasn't told by the staff. I felt a bit stupid running around my room and trying to work the light switches. Smth new to remember ..not an usual feature in US. Also you get 2 free water bottles per day.

New hotel - great value

We stayed at the DoubleTree while visiting our Polish relations. Its a very new hotel with a Polish cinematographic theme. The rooms are large by hotel standards and the whole building has a spacious feel. The park opposite gave us very pleasant views. Shopping is only a very short taxi ride away, or a leisurely stroll if you want to take in the sights. The pool/gym on the 10th floor is great and my wife and I made use of it often. The Four Colors Restaurant serves a very good breakfast with lots of different choices and the restaurant proved to be a great venue for dinner with our Polish relations on our last night. We will definitely return.
