Room was in need of a refurbishment. Very old and threadbare bed sheets, dirty, old and tired furniture. Only good thing was the central Chinatown location and they gave you slippers so you didn’t have to put your feet directly on the filthy carpet. Relieved I only had one night before going to another hotel for my whole time in Singapore. No elevator and I requested a ground floor room on knowing this but was given third floor which was a struggle. A nice staff member did help me with my suitcase to go up thankfully.

Hands down, the worst accomodation we have ever stayed in. Mould was from floor to ceiling, sheets didn't even cover the end of the bed, blood stains on the carpet and we were given the wrong configuration of beds.

Bad hotel i ever staied in

Try to avoid this hotel! We booked for five nights, and right at the entrance there was a terrible smell of mold. The smell was even worse in the hallway and in the rooms. We asked to change rooms because the air conditioner wasn't working and the bathroom was unusable because of a narrow gap between the toilet and the shower partition. The room we were given also had a terrible smell of mold. There was no hot water, the manager said we had to wait for the electricity to heat it up. There was mold in the shower, the safe didn't work properly, the TV didn't work, we had the receptionist fix it. The shower partition was broken and the electric kettle didn't work (at this point we had given up on them). Apart from the proximity to the MRT and the smiling staff, everything was bad. We left after two days instead of five. Of course, the hotel manager's poor service mentality didn't include the option of apologizing or offering a refund for the nights we didn't use. We \"donated\" 280 US dollars so they could continue to \"serve\" others with poor service. Don't fall into the trap!

I have been using Hotels.com for years. This was the worst one I’ve ever been in a black mold on the walls and around the fan and around the bathtub area was terrible. When you turned on the sink, the water didn’t run down the drain. it ran out on the floor and then to floor Drain. They gave you one small sheet and the blanket was so bad with the mildew smell. You couldn’t even use it. You also had to climb through stairs to get to the room.

Worst Hotel Experience Ever
I recently stayed at this hotel and it was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. We had booked for 6 nights but ended up staying only 1 night before transferring to another hotel. Here are the main issues we encountered:
No Elevator: This was a major inconvenience, especially since my mother is a stroke patient and has difficulty with stairs.
Room Smell: The room had a strong, unpleasant odor, reminiscent of an oily Chinese restaurant. It was musty and made it difficult to sleep as my nose was clogged the entire night.
Old Furniture: The furniture in the room was outdated and in poor condition.
Shower Hazard: The shower setup was a fall hazard. My mother struggled to navigate the bathtub/shower situation, which was very concerning.
Overall Cleanliness: The musty smell and general cleanliness of the room were unacceptable.
On a positive note, the staff were accommodating and tried to assist us as best as they could. However, the overall condition of the hotel made it impossible for us to stay longer.

Can’t believe this is a 3 star hotel.
The cleanliness is disgusting- black mould on walls, toilet and sink leaks so water all over the bathroom floor whenever you use either, horrible smell in room from either air con or damp, hairs everywhere!
The woman on reception was also very rude.
Would not recommend this hotel at all- can’t believe it was nearly £300 for 3 nights.

The Inn was surprising, The room was much smaller than we expected, for example only one of us could put a case on the bed to get things out as there was no storage. The bathroom is tiny barely room to use the toilet plus the shower was broken so had to be held. Also there is no lift so carrying large cases in very humid temperatures could be a challenge for some people, may be better to request a lower floor if you have any sort of mobility issues

The Inn is ver traditional and in a super area, for what we paid it was ok but the room was nothing to write home about.

The staff on reception were great and helpful. The hotel is in the heart of Chinatown which was fascinating and busy, the noise did not bother us at but again be mindful if you want something quieter.

Would I recommend, I have been honest from my perspective, it’s more about personal preference. Would I stay again, I am not sure as I think I would like something a bit more modern with breakfast. However having said this I wouldn’t change the time I had there.

Great location, small room, clean, but no elevator

Firstly, the location is just amazing. Right in the middle of Chinatown, 3-minute walk from MRT station, I loved walking around the neighborhood over-and-over. Just for this reason, I might come here again. Beyond that, the room itself was very clean and organized. That said, the room was pretty small and it was a bit pricey for the size. Moreover I got a room on the top floor, and there is no elevator so if you have a big suitcase like I did, it is very hard (you have to do it yourself, no paid help). However the staff was understanding and allowed me to keep my large suitcase for the entire duration of my stay (3 days) below encouraging me to grab what I needed.

The Wi-Fi was good, and the staff allowed me to stay for a while after I had checked out while I was killing time to get taxi. All-in-all, a pretty decent experience but exceptional location.

I enjoyed the location and proximity to both Chinatown and the MRT.
The room i stayed in however is in need of quite a view updates such as the following:
Working tv.
Toilet roll holder needs repair.
Shower and basin needs unclogging.
Shower needs a thorough clean.
Shower door needs some repairs.
Room entrance door looks to have some stains on it that might be mould. Im sure a sugar soap clean would address this.
Essentially, the room needs some TLC.
I should also mention that the price was reasonable and the downfalls of the room werent show stoppers for me.

Well located and maintained property. Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of restaurants and attractions in the area. Multiple lines of the train system are on easy walking distance. I would stay here again.

I had a good stay, overall. Very well located. Staff is friendly. The hotel is charming, but a bit old and starting to get shabby. I had to move rooms because the toilet flush wasn't working in the assigned room ... the staff was helpful in making it happen smoothly. WiFi connectivity can be patchy. Great for short tourism trips, but not so suitable for business trips, since most of the rooms don't have a desk to work from. Next time, need to specify the room type and configuration upfront, to avoid disappointment.

The hotel is easy to reach from the nearby MRT and the Chinatown location provides convenient access to a number of interesting locations nearby.
All staff I have met have been very helpful and friendly.
The rooms and facilities are as advertised, and I was particularly impressed with the air-conditioning (which runs continuously, so the room is always a constant temperature) and the mini-fridge (great for storing perishable snacks).
Overall I have found this hotel to be very well suited to my travel requirements.

Health concerns; Safety concerns !!! Do not Book!

This hotel misrepresents itself! The photos are not as the hotel appears. Please see attached photos! There is mold in our room. The smell is so bad that one can not sleep. The windows were locked shut! When the management was asked to open them we found that behind were compressors that were so loud that sleep was not possible. The bearinhgs on the compressor were worn and squelling. I believe this condition of windows that are locked shut with lock and key solely in the manager's possesion is extremely unsafe for fire and safety reasons; this can not be to fire code! Dangerous!

The management lied. When asked to relocate to another room; we were told that no other was available!! Later that evening several other couples were in line checking in. Abviously other rooms were available at the time of our check in; but it is apparent that they provided this room to us because we used Expedia and Hotels.com and had little way to resolve as we were traveling internationally. Hotels.com had sent previous messages to this hotel in advance of our stay; the hotel management at first indicated to us that they had received no such messages! Later one manager said; oh yes...we responded. Again they just lied!!!! Mold in the room Mold on the bathroom mirror. Mold and mildew evaporation fans in the hall! Safety concerns! Health concerns! Do not stay here !!!!

The cupboard, windows are in rundown condition. Aircon wasn’t functioning well -auto turn off after 5-min. Requested for check-out at 1pm which was agreed by the staff. But staff still called our room at 1205pm to “remind” us the check out time is 12pm, which we need to explain we had requested for extended hours. At about 1220pm, our door was opened by the cleaning staff without any knocking or notification. Overall an bad 1 night stay.

Great location and reception staff. Very good WiFi. Room without window !! (good A/C). The worst was bathroom, bi-fold door without isolation from noise an even odors!! Bath tub was at first look dirty, but later realized that was horribly spotted by long time ware and little or not maintenance. I dont know if Expedia informed there was no elevator (we carried 4 luggages without staff for that, lukily we were in second floor but it has three floors) and requirement for special plug in adapters (not big deal but will be a plus for you). No nightstand, limited electric plugs for recharging 3 iphones, one tablet, one laptop, camera baterry charger and one portable game console.

Location is good as it’s very near to Chinatown MRT. But unfortunately that’s the only good thing I can think about this hotel. As the rooms are so close to each other, there’s no sound proof therefore you will hear all the noises from other rooms (baby’s crying). In addition, on my last day the cleaner tried to enter my room at 8:50am. My sleep was totally interrupted again since it was already disturbed by the noise huh! There’s no window in the room, so brace yourself for the cramped and damp room condition. Also the bathroom door was not fully closed.

Strategic Location

It is located right in the centre of Chinatown which is so convenient to everywhere. Plenty of food nearby. Hotel room is a bit tired though but we are willing to overlook that because of the location. However I would like to point our that the bed should be made up the normal way with a blanket or comforter not with only a thin sheet as a blanket.

Wonderful location in the heart of the Chinatown. Got great advise from the staff. Was able to extend the checkout time without extra cost. However, the price was quite expensive. I guess that’s normal for Singapore! The rooms were quite small. The door in the bathroom was dirty and the climatisation was not adjustable. But overall because of the staff and the location, that was still worthwhile.

I had two nights in this dump but don't let the pictures deceive you they took them from the ceiling down not from the floor up. I could not cancel the dates would not allow me too. The smell is one thing but there was mildew all along the bottom of the walls. My tub was so bad i had to put the place mat on the bottom to take a shower. The person at the front desk couldn't care be bothered to help you out. There is no hairdryer in the room

The best value for money in Chinatown Singapore.

The rooms are clean and have a certain charm, even if the furniture is old. The staff are helpful and kind. They don't have fake USA customer service style but they make an effort. There is not a lift though it's only one or two stories. Most people are left to lift their own bags but I have the staff help people with their bags who looked like they really needed help. It's right in the middle of the nicest part of Chinatown.

Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is in China Town, 2 minutes walk to the MRT. The room has all the basic toiletries like shower cap, toothbrush kit, shaving kit, shampoo and body gel, slippers. Refrigerator, electric kettle with coffee and tea. The wifi was good. Flat screen tv with cable. Bathroom was ok. The rooms are being cleaned everyday. I stayed 4 days and I had a pleasant stay. I was allowed to stay one extra hour free on the last day. I would recommend this hotel.

Easy access to MRT, Food, attractions

The hotel sits in the middle of Chinatown in Singapore, with less than 5 mins walk to MRT station that can get you anywhere is very convenient. Food in Chinatown are always good and cheap as you can just stroll down the street and pick what you want to eat. The streets around are nice and very tourists friendly cause it’s packed with traditional buildings and temple. The travel time to other attractions are also minimum cause Chinatown is literally in the middle of downtown.

Though small, the room was comfortable and I had big windows on Temple Street. Noisy during the day but was quiet by 11pm. Hotel is right in the heart of Chinatown so it is a great base for exploring Chinatown. Subway/MRT station is just a 3 minute walk away and you can get anywhere in Singapore from there.

nice hotel in Chinatown in Singapore, Friendly staff when we arrived, however the room was really small, If you are older and traveling with larger luggage there is no elevator, We are a retired older couple and we travel light and are still in pretty good shape but could be a problem for some, also if you have larger luggage there really isn't any room to put your luggage in your room. It was a great location and so close to the subway, great walking area. It was great for what we needed it for.

A very convenient little hotel.

Although the room is small for a queen sized bed, we found it comfortable enough. The room is clean. The room needs to be aired out because it has a mildewy smell. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

This little gem is right in the middle of China town and walking distance to most things you will want for a short stay.

Great value for Singapore fantastic location

This hotel is very centrally located right in the heart of Chinatown, rooms whilst small are actually a good size for the price in Singapore, very clean with all ammenities and a window onto tye street. Staff very helpful.

the mrt goes from the airport to within 3 mins of the hotel. No noise the train is underground. I found the staff helpful and friendly I lost my key card but no big deal it was replaced without a fuss for a small fee. The big thing is there is NO LIFT not a problem for me it's a very wide large staircase as you would see in a big old house and you carry your own cases. I requested a room on the 3rd (top floor) with a window (fixed shut ) and double bed and that's what I received. The room isn't enormous
But I found it fine space both sides of the bed which was clean and comfortable.
The room was spotlessly clean and cleaned once a day by a very nice lady.
Bathroom, hot and cold water good pressure and always hot everything was catered for. Noise levels outside the hotel were fine it's in a Chinatown st with restaurants and shops but they all close at a reasonable time and I had no problem. The room has a fridge so if you want to buy food from the mall at the end of the st it's ideal. Tea coffee are provided with a clean kettle. Lots of shops restaurants markets shops as you step out the door. The mrt station is 3 mins away and will take you to anywhere in no time at all. A train about every 5 mins and they are fast and very cheap. ( you can reuse your ticket and get a small discount).a train will drop you under the sands hotel and you can walk to Singapore flyer from their And the gardens.

Hotel location within walking distance.

Great location, close to mrt, plenty of restaurants. Only downfall the room was small, though you get what you pay for.
