Very peaceful area with exception of building works on next door building, but that won’t be forever.
Shame that there wasn’t an indoor pool to use out of season. For the price, I thought this might be an option.

GREAT HOTEL IN QUIET AREA
We have stayed here a few times now and it is always excellent. From the reception staff, waiters and cleaners they are all excellent. The breakfast has many choices and sets you up for the day. In warm conditions you can sit outside to have your breakfast looking over the bay of Mellieha, Ghadira Bay. On day one our kettle became faulty and within 10 minutes of contacting the reception staff a maintenance person was sent up and fixed the problem. The room is cleaned each day to a very good standard, tea, coffee, sugar and milk is replenished daily. The water is hot and bathroom facilities are provided. If you like a quiet location VIU57 is an excellent choice with views to die for. The only slight downside is parking a vehicle. The hotel is down an incline and parking has to be found where possible, though you can drive down to unload and reload your vehicle when needed. We cannot praise this hotel enough and it's great staff. We are already getting ready to book again for next year.

We stayed for 5 nights and had a lovely experience here. One thing that stands out is definitely the customer service from the staff; Dora in particular was so helpful towards me and my partner. She helped us with renting a car and offered us the chance to check out later due to our flight being in the evening. The location and view from our room was beautiful and peaceful. The room was very clean and house keeping did an amazing job every day. Should be a 4 star hotel🙊

The view from the pool, and the room we had, were spectacular. The hotel is in a quiet part of town. Restaurants and cafes are close by. There is a bistro, café in the hotel so no need to go far. The hotel, Mellieha and Malta exceeded our expectations.

We visit Malta once or twice a year and this is the first time we’ve stayed in this hotel. On the hole it was a pleasant hotel, the staff from reception were very good. The disappointing thing for me was that the room was very small which I would’ve been okay with if there were shelves or hooks to hang things up. Particularly the bathroom there was nowhere in the shower to put anything! I didn’t have a hairdryer in my room and the kettle wouldn’t turn off. I love the pool and although there were many sunbeds, we did manage to get one both days. My only other gripe would be that there was no service for food and drink. You have to go up to the window to order.

One Night Stay at VIU57
We really enjoyed our one-night stay. The room was modern reasonably spacious and spotlessly clean with good storage and a fridge which was great on a hot day. The pool was a decent size and there were sufficient sunbeds to accommodate guests. Breakfast was decent with a good range of cold and hot food. The machine coffee and juice wasn't bad either. The staff were very pleasant and helpful but also professional. All in all I would recommend VIU57 which was in the tranquil and quaint town of Mellieha a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of Valletta and Sliema.

It is a small hike to the hotel (8 minutes walk) up some stairs from the bus stop but the view is worth it. There are a few bars and restaurant nearby, along with a direct bus to the airport. Easy access to the ferry terminal and the beach as well.

Stayed here for 7 nights on a b&b basis. Large room with lovely sea view. Nice pool area. Our bed was very squeaky but comfortable! Tea and coffee provided. There was a fridge in the room but no safe, so had to leave our valuables in the reception safe. Very good breakfast, room overlooking the pool and the view. The air conditioning is centrally controlled, which meant the heating was on. Orange juice was dilute, not particularly nice. The hotel was very handy for restaurants and bars. Happy hour each night 5-7pm. Area felt very safe and quiet. Would stay again.

GREAT HOTEL GREAT VIEWS
Hotel VIU57, this hotel is amazing in our view. From the staff to the location of it it's just first class. The views out of hotel are fantastic looking out over Ghadria Bay and the valley below stretching out to the beach in the distance. Most of the rooms are large and well equipped, the only minor fault for us is that there are only two tea bags and coffee sachets, But of course you can buy your own as there is a kettle in the room and a fridge.
All the staff are very friendly and try to accommodate your wishes. Breakfast is first class, everything that you would need and the warm items are varied each day.
Overall this is an excellent hotel in a fantastic location, and we fully recommend it.

Fabulous stay! The location is great, in a quiet area, just a quick walk to the bus stop to get up to the ferry to Gozo and Comino.

First time I have visited since being rebranded to viu57. I asked for a quiet room and was upgraded to a sea view room on the top floor which was perfect, nice and quiet. The staff were extremely friendly and really couldn't do enough for you. Plenty of hot water for your shower. The breakfast was very adequate 3 hot stations and salad stuff ,cakes and pastries and a new coffee machine installed. All in all a very pleasant hotel to stay at. The clientele were also fine no rowdissm. A very enjoyable stay and would have no hesitation in staying again. Tremendous value for money

We stayed in the top floor apartment. The room was spacious and it offered a spectacular view on the surroundings and sea. It was cleaned every day and towels were changed. Breakfast was simple, but tasty and had a few options to choose from. The staff was very kind and helpful. We had a great stay and recommend the hotel.

The property was clean and modern from the outside and inside, except that there was flaking plaster around most o the room from about 3-9inches above ground, indicating damp. It made me concerned about what might be in the air. Since it looks out over immediately rural views, be prepared for trucks and barking dogs to arrive at those fields from about 6am in the morning.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It’s tucked away on a quiet street away from a lot of the noise. That being said, overall it is just “ok”. It was clearly a box cutter building thrown up in a short time without too much thought. Everything feels a bit cheap, but for the price I suppose it makes sense. Comparatively, for that price range on Malta I didn’t expect much more. Biggest complaint: there’s no coffee makers in the room. Maybe a small thing but I’ve never seen that before, who doesn’t put a coffee maker in a hotel room? That’s an essential. The staff were all lovely and helpful though and that is always noticed.

Our only concern was a group of young guys drinking from glass bottles in the pool. One had obviously had a few and waving his bottle above his head. I think others were put off using the pool and obviously a major concern had the bottle been dropped/broken. Do hate to complain about anything in this hotel but really do think this is a no no.

The hotel had fantastic views as perched on cliff. The rooms were basic but modern. Common areas nice. Staff very friendly and polite. Breakfast was continental and cost €10pp. Very limited. You had option to pay more on top of €10 for cooked.
Negatives for us was no tea/coffee making facilities in room. Most hotels now have it as standard so didn’t check before booking. Also you could not add things to room. Had to pay as you go which was a bit inconvenient when wanted just a cup of tea one evening after being out and had no cash, so had to pay by card! First time I think I’ve been in a hotel and not been able to charge things to room.

Beautiful location and amazing views from the huge balcony in 503! Staff so helpful and friendly and always smiling. Nice breakfast sat beside the pool and comfy sun beds - everything at the hotel was fabulous- thank you for a great stay!

Amazing views and great comfort
The hotel seems pretty new, the staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was also very nice, we loved it. The hotel is on the hill looking over the beach, I believe it has one of the best views in town. The hotel is close to the beach, like 5 minutes drive from Ghadira Bay (I believe around 30 mins walk) There are a couple of parking spaces in front of the hotel, as well as many spaces on the parallel streets. We always found a space so it wasn’t very difficult. The room was very nice, with a nice balcony with breathtaking views. It was also very clean, new furniture, very comfortable bed. It is very quite at night. It’s definitely a great choice to stay in Malta.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick, es gab dort auch einen Wasserkocher sowie Tee und Kaffee und einen kleinen Kühlschrank. Die Zimmer wurden täglich gereinigt. Auf Wunsch bekamen wir noch eine extra Decke. Das Frühstück war hervorragend, es gab zB. eine grosse Auswahl auch vegetarischer Angebote, einen Kaffeeautomat mit verschiedenen leckeren Kaffeespezialitäten sowie einen Saftautomaten mit verschiedenen Säften. Den Pool kann man leider nur von 10 bis 19 Uhr benutzen. Die Bushaltestelle ist nur 5 Minuten entfernt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.
