Walkable to the train station and cruise terminals. But the property was pootly maintained. Our room locked but the common front door doesn't lock and is not secure. There was peeling paint in our room, no control of room heat, no towels, no cups, no control over shower water temperature and no remote for the very small TV.

It is old, tired, patched up, broken lights, messy, needs maintenance and paint.
But worse, there was no towel but I got one from a staff member, but it was a waste of time as there was only a trickle of water and even after 10 minutes, no hot water.
But worst of all, the smoke alarm was dead (I know about them) and it was a very long way down to the only fire exit.
If I could give it a zero I would.
Take it off your list.

After reading recent reviews we brought our own bedding thankfully. First impressions on entering the property was that it was basically an MRO or like a Uni accommodation. The carpets were fairly new which was something. We were in room 22 right at the top of the house which was ok. We entered the key code in to the room but basically a good hard shove would have probably opened it. Well Stripped back the duvet from the beds to find p…. Hair on one of them. So we we were t going to use that one as there were only 2 of us. There were crumbs over the chair. We didn’t think it had been cleaned but turns out it had been. I switched the fan but It was hanging on by a wire and the noise!!. Sent a text to get a new fan but that didn’t come. The beds were lumpy. Springs missing. We moved one of the mattresses on top of the bed that we were not going to use by the window as we would have not been able to breathe in the night. The bed base was broke and there was a small plastic bag on it. Obvious what that was used for. There was a kettle and tea and coffee that was the best bit about it. The carpet was clean so we felt ok to put our bags on it. The bathroom would of been ok if the tap wasn’t broken and there was no hot water from the tap or shower!! Tv did not work and shower tray filled up with water. Loft cover was open so we worried about someone jumping out. Pictures show towels but there weren’t any, we always bring our own but total false advertising

Great location and very good price. We stayed after a concert. So literally just slept there.
Good that some parking was available too. V basic room but clean & airy. Tea and coffee facilities were good. No towels for bathroom or hand soap so that was abit of a shame.
We got a little confused by the digital door key pads but the staff were v helpful and showed us how to use. Comfy beds and somewhere to rest before heading back off.
Not the usual guest house or B&B set up but was clean, good location and what we needed.

We arrived at our hotel after an 8 hour drive and when we went to the door of the property one of the neighbours shouted 'I wouldn't go in there it's a sh!£hole!' We went in to find our room door wide open, the photos show the state of the room.

Do not stay here! I thought well all I need is a clean on suite room with a decent bed as its only to sleep when working.
I have not slept in a bed that bad ever, the springs were coming through and you could feel them. The room smelt and there was dirt and rubbish behind the drawers ans tea spilt down the wall. The kettle was so old it looked risky, mirror left down on the floor where it has come off the wall. Curtains were dirty and didn't close and heating was off room was freezing.
This was a huge mistake.

Avoid this accommodation like \"The Plague\"
The front door wasnt' secure.
The side gate was off its hinges therefore the code supplied was useless!
The 2x side entrances were open
(anyone could have walked in off-the-street and gained access!
My room(No.10)door key-pad didnt respond 2 the code I was given.
A resident gentleman I spoke with told me \"they\" the owner/s property management were always extremely slow to replace the batteries in the electronic key pad & they regularly failed/ran out?
When I(eventually)got through to the contact number I was given
(should there be any issues?)
the lady said she hadn't actually visited this property ,hence couldn't be of much assistance?
She did say someone from housekeeping would be present in a few minutes & may be able to help?
After 25mins I got sick of waiting & booked into a proper hotel in the city centre at a great additional cost!
I wished i'd just stuck to the latter choice initially following my stressful ordeal!

upon arrival the state of the property was shocking .

there was no one to greet us and after phoning the number given for 30 minutes a guy answered and told me my room number and the code to get in . However the room was already occupied ! I telephoned again to be given another room number and another code , however the room on had one double bed and did not sleep 3 ! Again after another call was given another room number and code , this room had three single beds which had not been made ,
room was filthy , NO TOWELS so could not use the shower , loft hatch which was open and would not shut . We went to our daughters for tea on arrival back could not access the property at all . Rang the guy again and was told to go round the back as the back door was always open . Anyone could gain access ! . We baracaded the door as it had no internal locking system which worried us as I had been given so may codes to rooms that anyone could have come in . We decided not to stay there and left to stay at our daughters , had to buy a camping bed for me and my son while my wife slept on her sofa .
Would not recommend this property to anybody . Do not bother staying here . The pictures on the website are nothing like what you encounter and there is no safety in place at all .

Not upto guest house standard, it is an HMO masquerading as a guest house. The bed we were offered had a mattress about 2\" thick. We left immediate and found somewhere else to stay, worst booking I've ever made.
Although the price was cheap, it was not worth the effort of getting there.

I felt unsafe and we had to stay somewhere else.
It's not at all like the photos.
The room door was not secure and had clearly been broken into before. The front door was open and did not appear to be able to be close. There was a loose wire on the floor outside the bathroom. The desk was damaged.
The beds were poor quality and the bedding shabby. The room was dirty with dead flies on the windowsill and sugar all over the side. There was broken glass on the driveway.
The staff do not answer the phone.

Although it was said that there wasn't any parking, I managed to park on the front of the premises. It is a guest house and NOT a bed & breakfast,therefore there is NO breakfast or evening meal.
I wouldn't say it was dirty,, more run down and tired looking. I had a double room and the bed wasn't very comfortable. Luckily I had my sleeping bag, so I folded the quilt in half lengthways for more padding and slept in my sleeping bag.
The taps in the bathroom were loose and I had to hold the body of the taps if I needed to use them. There was also NO plug in the wash basin. The showered was very dirty with soap stains all over the chroma and theglass shower screen. There was NO shaver power point in the athroom. There was a table with tea and coffee making facilities incl' a kettle. The window in the room was also rather dirty. The remote control for the TV was badly broken so channel choice was BBC 1 or nothing, so for me it was nothing. The furniture consisted of:-
A double (uncomfortable) bed a bedside cabinet, a chest of drawers and a table and chair....NO wardrobe !!! So any hanging garments had to be hund on the bathroom door.
The internal communal areas were clean and in a reasonable condition. Such a shame about the outside areas that were filled with old furniture.
None of the above bothered me to much as I literally just used it as a place to sleep and it was only for one night. For that purpose and reason I would use it again but next time I will take bathroom cleaner.

Check in proved difficult as I hadn't been sent a room number or check in code and didn't realise I was supposed to request this 24 hours prior according to special instructions. Luckily a cleaner was there and sorted me out.

The room itself was very clean except for under the bed. No towels or soap.

Someone knocked on my door at 10:20am asking if I was checking out that day. I said yes and he said check out was 10am. I said no checkout is 11am and he checked his phone and left me be.

We have to book another hotel as we were not happy with the guest house. First, I waited til after 7pm for their message to get access to the property .Thanks to my cousin who left a voice message and someone called me after that( in fairness ,the guy was very helpful and sent me a text msg after that with the access code). When we get to the Pebbles Guest House , the main door is open anyways, so we went up to our room and our door is open and keypad lock is not working .The room is not clean , bedsheets been laid out tidy but it seems it hasn’t been changed ?
Hangers all over the floor and hanger rail is broken . The bathroom is dirty too. We don’t feel safe so we have to go and booked to a hotel.

Just awful stay - we were not aware that towels would not be provided, the mattress on the bed was so thin it felt like sleeping on the base, the curtains were falling apart and the tv did not work - and there was no-one available to bring these issues to, as the property is not serviced at all. We are surprised that this accommodation is offered on Hotel.com because, in our opinion, it does not constitute being labelled as a hotel...it is more like a downmarket bedsit without a kitchen..! NEVER AGAIN!!

I fully appreciate it was a cheap room and a low cost for an over night stay.
But on arrival the front door access was not working and so I used the alternative side access which was noted in the arrival instructions.
the main bedroom light did not work up on arrival but there was a lamp in the room which kept me from being totally in the dark !
The external TV arial which had snapped off its mast had come to rest on the bedroom window and every time the wind blew it smacked up against the glass, so there was no way anybody was getting any sleep !! After 20 mins the Tv arial gave up the fight with the wind and fell into the court yard below !
The room had a strong smell of drugs ( cannabis ) and upon opening one of the draws I found a empty packet of medical cannabis.
I could feel every spring in that mattress when I eventually tried to get some sleep.
The toilet next door to the room did not have a working light and so I had to use the light off my phone so that I could see what I was doing.
In the morning when I went to use the shower room I was unable get any hot water from the shower mixer valve.
On return to my room on the second night I was greeted by a group of gentleman in the lobby area that had potentially just arrived in this country and did not understand or care that making a noise until the early hours of the morning would disturb other guests.
Staying at the Pebbles Guest House was one step up from sleeping in the Car.

It was all electronic entry and I received the email on my office email address. I arrived around 9pm, and there was no one to open the door, but a kind gentleman helped me come in and let me know the WiFi password.

I was able to enter the and it was very warm. I was very disappointed that there was no soap in the Shower or the Sink.

I could only make one cup of Tea as there was only a small amount of UHT milk.

Other than this it was fine. I managed to park on the drive, and I left in the morning for work

The property was ok for a basic base, they don’t provide towels, the front door wasn’t working to let you in but you could go out that way.
The lock on the bedroom door wasn’t very good you had to keep pressing to get it to light up so that you could put your code in.
For the price I would say you get what you pay for I paid £90.90 for 2 nights.

Security was bad. Key codes didn't work so external doors were left open. Another guest told us the front door entry key pad hadn't worked for ages Communal areas were dirty and had laundry piled upon surfaces. Broken laundry equipment in communal areas. Barking loose dog in communal areas. Room was dirty, had black mould on the walls, no kettle and the curtains were falling off. I would not stay or recommend this accommodation to anyone.

The “Guest House” (we’ll use the term lightly) was less sanitary and accommodating than I’d imagine a stay at auschwitz was.

The entrance is through a communal kitchen and then laundry room for the multi occupancy flats above. The room was filthy, stunk of smoke, ash and mould. Had paint peeling off the walls, ash and mould in the shower, drug paraphernalia bags in the toilet, filth everywhere, no central heating just a single small electric fan heater and was about as enticing as a week away with Fred and rose west. If criminals spent a week there instead of 6 months in prison luxury they would atop reoffending.

The room was freezing cold I called up the properties personal helpline to request the heating be turned on and was told it would turn on at 5pm and be on all night. That was not the case and I had to huddle up under the blanket and use my own breath to heat myself up. It was a good property for the price however definitely not suitable to stay in for more than a night. It felt like sleeping on the streets.

The only good thing about the place was the proximity to shops! For starters, you can’t get in the front door! Always have to use the rear access! The room was disgusting, very dirty with numerous marks and damage. The cleanliness was appalling, my room was riddled with little fruit flies and I mean riddled, I’d kill 10 and within an hour there would be more! The fire alarm went off at midnight one night and it’s a good job I’m a fire engineer and knew how to reset the box otherwise I wouldn’t have slept at all! The bed was broken and collapsed! The heating doesn’t work! I have no good words about the place. There’s always a company van parked in one of the parking spots also, I really wouldn’t be advertising the place and forcing guests to park on other streets! Avoid avoid avoid!

This property should not be listed as offering accommodation. I believe they are a rip-off group that pretends to offer something they cannot deliver on.
They did not answer the contact number given on multiple occasions so we could get an access code etc. This caused us to seek accommodation else where at our expenses. Shame on them for false advertising - should have taken greater attention to others feedback and reviews. I suggest wotif.com disassociates themselves from this property group, or they too will loose customers.

When I arrived at the property the room I was allocated was already in use. I tried calling multiple times but no one picked up. The maintenance team picked up and apologised but said they could not do anything as this is not an emergency. Stranded outside the place, I had to book another hotel room. I sent them multiple messages and emails and tried calling them and got no replies. I raised the matter with Expedia and after a long back and forth I got my refund from them. I recommend not booking this place under any circumstances as it’s unreliable and unsafe, and if something goes wrong, there is no one to call or reach out.

I spent less than an hour on the premises and that only because I was trying to contact somebody at the property to cancel my reservation or obtain a refund if they could not find me a suitably clean room

I have attatched couple of pictures from the room but they do not give you the remotest idea of the intense damp

I ended up on the street at 3am with nowhere to go. A full refund is the very least I think I should expect

The property is run down. No one to greet us. Had a problem with getting into our room, called for help. Person on the other emd had no idea how to help, said he'd go tesearch but never got back to us. My husband finally figured it out on his own. The liquid soap in the bathroom was watered down. Never felt like my hands were clean. What we slept on was not a mattress but box springs. Felt every spring so was an uncomfortable night. My feet were dirty because of the dirty carpet. Was a dirty sock behind the bathroom door. The picture of the outside and the inside from the expedia website was not at all the way it looked. Much more run down. It's a long way to places to eat so if no transportation prepare to walk a ways. I'm usually more positive but we had a miserable night.

The photos aren't of the property from what I can tell. Our room didn't even resemble the photos we had made our booking because of. The front door was entirely unlocked and didn't close when we tried it, even with pushing.
The room itself was fine I suppose, although the carpet had a lot of stains and the pillows had marks on them. The room had a code that (assuming all the codes have the same pattern) anyone could have guessed, so I had to get the key out of the safe to keep with us so someone couldn't just guess the combination and come in. I didn't feel safe. I was glad it was only for a night. I suppose you get what you pay for with a place that is so cheap, but basic safety should always apply.

The property was run down and smelt disgusting

Should be removed from any booking apps
Stayed 10mins then left and booked another hotel
Don’t trust the pictures of the property or rooms as it’s nothing like the pictures

Room needs some ventilation, there was odour smell. Otherwise the room was quite big enough. Toilet was nice and clean but the shower needs repaired otherwise water was hot enough. Check-in was easy. Parking was available at front. The WiFi was not working at all you have very low internet connection in building. After correction of these issues it was not bad at this price.

First of all, its close to the train station and various busses which is a bonus. the price of the room was a bargain and provided what we needed just fine, a bed, tv, kettle, cups, shower? toilet and cupboards, so 5* for that.

we were on top floor which wasnt mentioned on the room directions on the ground floor, just said to room 21 but missed out 22.

there was no plug in the sink and no details for the free wifi so couldnt get internet.

the checkout time advertised was 11 and the door lock details sent later stated 10 which was not good. i didnt keave till 10.30 after the cleaner knocking the door at 10.10. i shouted i wasnt ready and wasnt leaving till 10.30. so bad service there. just a minor thing, when you flush the toilet, you then hear a loud whining sound in the pipes for a while and the water took a long time to drain in the shower.

i got no response at all from the property agent which i thought was bad so had to contact the agent who tried to contact the property but again, no luck.

overall, bad customer service but an overal nice room at a perfect location with a safe digital lock. having a tv was great.

Property is a little dilapidated, and I found the owners difficult to contact (no check-in desk on site and key-code had not arrived when I got to the site). But it is cheap and comfortable, so you get what you pay for.

The room was dingy, you could feel each spring in the bed's mattress, the room had a unpleasant smell, the towels smelt of sewage. I could go on, but it doesn’t get any better. This is the worst guest house I have ever stayed in.

Don't even consider booking Pebbled guest house.

Our booking was cancelled while we were driving to Southampton to join a cruise the following day. I booked this accommodation last January.
We've made you an alternative booking, they said, this turned out to be a single bed in a filthy room. We needed a double being a disabled couple in our 70's.
I contacted them to be told there was nothing available and they would refund my money, that was over a week ago and no refund yet.
We were treated abominably, they simply didn't care. It was an extremely busy week end with 5 cruise ships departing, a football match and a Pride March. We eventually managed to book into the Hilton after searching for over an hour. I was extremely distressed by the whole experience.

No cold water to basin, this room was in fit for habition. Bed springs were very uncomfortable,(mattress looked clean) stained flooring, lack of decor to very chipped walls
On arrival front entrance not working, all locks to entrance and room door were loose. There seems to be no maintenance carried out in a long while.

Pleasant stay with a few bits to fix

Didn't look the best from the outside but inside is well taken care of, very clean and smelled clean too. Front door was broken and couldn't open from the outside which wasn't great, and the side door was never locked. That said, we had a pleasant stay with plenty of space, our own clean bathroom, kettle and supplies, TV, towels and good WiFi. The kitchen downstairs had items available for guests to use, as well as washing machines and a guest fridge for storage. The fan in the bathroom made a strange noise, one of the beds was very lumpy and the door lock was a bit fidgety but a pleasant stay as somewhere just to put your head down. No staff onsite and couldn't connect to the company on the phone, which maybe needs looking at. Parking available out front or on the street, 10 mins to town and 20 mins to Paultons Park. Would come back.
