First time I've stayed at Holiday Inn, what can I say it was great. I didn't want to leave, so much to do in Southend, and the hotel was above standard. From the minute I walked in, until I left my stay was comfortable, peaceful and just what I needed. I will return. Close to a small retail outlet, but it is quiet you wouldn't know.. and handy for the airport.

I stayed as I was catching a flight from SEN, I was very impressed with how clean and well presented the rooms and the hotel in general were. Comfortable bed, I slept very well. Food was lovely, fish and chips. Great view of the airport from the restaurant and bar on the 5th floor. Only a couple of minutes walk to catch the flight. Also handy for other alternative to the restaurant, McDonald's right opposite, and a range of shops at the outlet right opposite too. Easy to get to, easy to find. Pleasant to stay in. I will stay again when using SEN again. First class right across the facilities offered on site, and handy for the retail opportunities not found within the little airport.

Rooms a bit dated. Nice big bed, but tiny tv on wall? Our sink would not drain. Clearly blocked pipes. When reported in the morning, the duty officer making the bog standard comment \"oh, I will make a note\", before turning back to whatever he was doing before. Forgotten already...

The bar upstairs overlooks the airport and is a brilliant view. It's walking distance from the airport and easy to get to. Check in was fast and easy. We had a wheelchair user with us and was easy to get her around and to/from the rooms. The bed was comfy. Didn't have breakfast there. Shops nearby too.

Fab views over the airport, (although not much going on there), on-site parking meant this was an excellent stay. My only gripe if that, was that only coffee by the jug was available and would have preferred to have the option of a cappuccino!

The room was equipped with everything we needed . The only thing is that could be improved were the pillows- very lumpy and I was not about to try and contact housekeeping at three in the morning.
Also some grout in the bathroom floor needed repair.
The food in the restaurant was good and the staff everywhere were delightful.

Stayed two times first time all good second time all ok except for breakfast as large que due to not enough food on full English so had long wait and when fresh arrived it soon went due to queue, wife came back with very little and I went for mine again still long queue waited mentioned to staff told on the way took a while for queue to get food I nearly gave up but I was hungry, so maybe use McDonalds Nxt door in future

Lovely hotel, very helpful staff. We booked a disabled room for my husband and it had a wet room, which was lethal!. Once wet there was no way of getting the water off the floor and no- one could use the bathroom until housekeeping had been in to sort it. We used the towels available but it wasn’t enough. The toilet smelt when we arrived and I wonder if the disabled rooms are used less often than other rooms. We reported the toilet and it was dealt with swiftly but still smelt . The hotel was perfect for parking close to the airport but very expensive.

Fabulous hotel & I was pleasantly surprised on all counts. Great location for what we needed, stayed 3 nights while searching for a flat for my daughter who is relocating. From the super helpful ladies on the hotel reception to the top floor restaurant and bar for breakfast and dinner, again fantastic service & very friendly staff. Our room was lovely, very clean, all amenities you need, great size & view overlooking the airport.
Perfect stay! Highly recommended… We’ll definitely be back when visiting the area again. Thanks

The carpet in the room was covered in dirty patches, there was a large gap in the skirting board. No hook in the bathroom to hang your towel and the bath mat had stains on it.(yellow!)
The beds were not comfortable, they were lumpy.
The breakfast was food that had been left a while and there were not many pastries left.
Car park is very expensive now.

I had a really lovely stay at Holiday Inn IHG. I often choose Holiday Inn for my vacations because it is a perfect way to escape the busy life in London and truly relax. The room was very comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the service throughout my stay was excellent.

The receptionists were especially welcoming and helpful, a special mention to the receptionist at Holiday Inn Southend on Sea, who made check-in such a pleasant experience.

The only small suggestion I would make is regarding breakfast time. It would be even better if breakfast could be extended until 11am, as when we’re on holiday we like to sleep in a bit later and take things slowly.

Overall, I am very happy with my stay and would definitely recommend Holiday Inn for a relaxing getaway.

Previous week had a \"packed to go\" breakfast and it was dire 😫 having been promised bacon and egg sandwich, it was a cold prepackaged one, with crisps, a small packet of 3 digestive biscuits, a yoghurt with no spoon, a bottle of water and no serviette, and it cost £17 😯. A shame that an \"airport\" hotel does not cater for early flights 😫

Booked hotel room as had 4.30am checkin. Room was a tad dated but clean & comfortable. Tried to get early night but foot traffic outside room went on until about 1am and soundproofing was non existent. Finally gave up trying to sleep at 01.45. Not a hotel for early nights.
