Whilst they didn't have one of the breakfast options (no avocado either morning despite having a huge morrisons down the road!) the breakfast was tasty and well cooked.

I was made to feel so welcome from the minute I arrived, until the minute I left.
I was given a free upgrade on my room, and I have to say, the shower was superb. The whole place was clean, and the beer garden wasso relaxing. Great breakfast.
If I have a reason to visit the island again, I will always try and book here.

Dont's accept the yacht experience
The hotel called 3 or 4 hours before my arrival to offer the \"boat experience\" at no extra cost. This, was explained to me\" is the opportunity of spending the night on a yacht. Upon arrival, I was shawn to the back of the hotel where the \"yacht\" was actually on in the water, and down a ramp. The use of a shower was at street level, toilet (no toilet paper) had a pump to flush, every minute a 2 second rumble from the generator shook the boat.. there were no other vacancies, which explained why I was offered the \"boat experience\". I left the hotel and stayed elsewhere

Needed a stay over for a friends birthday party, was recommended the Queen Philippa, I can understand why, it ticked all the boxes along with such friendly, helpful staff. Only slight negative which didn’t affect me was the small parking area, but to counter that they do have electric hook up which I didn’t need, but worth pointing out. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and if the need arises would stay there again.

The Queen Phillippa Hotel is in a good location for visiting Elmley National Nature Reserve (10 mins drive away) and about a10mins walk down Queenborough High Street to the seawall next to The Swale. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, there was a good choice of food for breakfast, and our evening meal at Jacey's Bistro (located in the hotel) was very good. At the rear of the hotel there's an attractive courtyard garden right next to Queenborough Creek. Our room was spotlessly clean. The only negative was that the bedroom was rather small, and the ensuite bathroom only just big enough to turn around in. Overall we were very happy with our stay at the Queen Phillippa and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the Isle of Sheppey.

Good location walkable to the harbour and several pubs. Very clean with good Wi-Fi and nice staff. Rooms very warm and on this occasion a very very soft and uncomfortable mattress but overall a pleasant stay. Easy to park as It has a small car park but large free car park just over the road or train station literally 4 minutes walk away.

There are few places on the Isle Sheppey, the place of my birth, that to my mind would not be the perfect place to visit Hart Ferry being one of the few exceptions. Until now Queenborough would not be my first choice as a place to stay, but the Queen Phillippa changed my perception. Yes, there was confusion regarding whether payment in full or part when I first arrived. That is possibly down to my not fully understanding the Expedia booking system.
The room allocated was sparkling clean and while the view was not outstanding (the site of a rusting barge in a tidal creek when the tide was out, was not the most alluring, but probably better that what guests had. But the room was clean, tidy, functional, the bed was comfortable and everything was sparklingly clean! I would have proferred a more comfortable pair of pillows, but that is a matter of personal taste. I could not sit at the desk with my knees under the table because of its design (the table not my knees!). The restaurant fare was not haute cuisine, but neither was it unacceptable. The steak I had on the first evening was cooked to perfection and almost melted in the mouth, The choice of a large or a small cooked breakfast was perfect (with the option of removing items that were not to one's taste).
My one complaint is that guests of a larger size (big rather than tall) risk being trapped either entering or exiting the shower due to restricted access offered by the sliding door in my room.

Breakfast was lovely and I appreciated the fact they took your breakfast order ttr night before so was all ready for me at my 7.15am requested time. I also ate in the bistro restaurant on the night of my stay. Excellent starter and main at reasonable prices. If anyone is staying in the Sheerness area and needs a hotel, woukd fully recommend The Queen Philippa.

A short notice booking that meant I was one of the last available single rooms. No view to speak of as window faced interior walls but at least the window opened to allow for fresh air. Despite the room being small it was well appointed, clean and comfortable with all you needed for an overnight stay. Unfortunately the on-site restaurant wasn't available for my evening meal as they were short of a cook but I was recommended a pub down the road where I had a lovely meal. Breakfast was to order and very tasty! Lovely little place all in all and would recommend.

I was looking for a decent and reasonably priced place to stay and I was very happy with the Queen Phillippa. The fundamentals are of a good standard, clean and comfortable, the breakfast was nice and lots of options. The staff were also really nice - friendly and seemed to enjoy being there, which is always a good sign. There's not much in the way of dining in the nearby vicinity but we were using it as a base to explore Sheppey anyway. It's only about 30 mins to Shellness or Elmley nature reserve, and a really nice restaurant called the Three Mariners. We enjoyed our stay.

Prior to arrival Amanda called to see if I'd like a slightly cosier room than the one I'd booked which surpassed expectations. Her warm welcome set the tone for a lovely stay. A great little hotel but there are some aspects that could be improved to make it even better. I was due to visit on Saturday 17th December and called ahead to see if I could check in early. They were very accommodating but it did bring an extra charge of £10, which brought the total for 2 nights to £170 which is quite expensive.
I stayed in room 1 which was up a flight of stairs with no lift , so If you do have any mobility problems or have a lot of luggage, you may want to request a room downstairs.
The room was lovely and nicely decorated but the main problem was the heating. There is only one radiator in the room and even when it was on max, it was luke warm with cold areas. I spoke with management and they did manage to find me a plug in heater but as it was only small and a large room, it took some time to heat it up. This meant that the first night was very cold for both myself and my 7 year old, so i had to have extra clothes.
Once the room was warm, I tried to open a window for a bit of fresh air to stop it being so stuffy and realised that you can’t open the window. There is a plastic screen which you can open but the actual window is inaccessible which could cause a problem in summer.
The shower was again only luke warm , even when it was on the maximum temperature, with a very low water pressure. Both myself and my son tried to warm ourselves up on the first night in the shower but had no such luck.

We stayed for two nights at the Queen Phillippa. On the night we arrived it was Italian night. Dinner, music, and staff were all fantastic. The room was very clean, tidy, and exactly what we needed. Breakfast portions were very generous, with a good choice.

I had a small single room, modern, and well furnished. Facing a delightful courtyard and the creek, I was aware of staff however immediately outside my room in the morning talking and smoking. I pulled the curtain back and they moved away.

My wife and I stayed at the Queen Phillipa for 5 nights over the Christmas period (not enough room at my parents so we got a well earned break!!). The room was clean and re-stocked with coffee etc. daily and the breakfast (made to order) was great. The best thing about our stay though was the staff, who were all super friendly, polite and always available to help. We really enjoyed our stay and will no doubt be back again in the not too distant future.

This is now the 3rd time i have stopped at the hotel and i am not sure whether or not its changed ownership, as the shall we say the attention to details just wasn't there this time around. I had finished my main course and the plate cleared away, i had just about finished my drink and i was just left sitting there. i wasn't asked if i wanted another drink or even to see the dessert menu until a GOOD half hour later, at which point i was about to walk off as it seemed that nobody really cared.
i get that they had a party of 6 or 8 people who had come in and were local but !!!! look what i am doing know.
