Set on three acres of open parkland with a tree-lined drive, the Sure Hotel by Best Western Judd's Folly is a scenic getaway in peaceful surroundings. You will find us in Syndale Park, a country retreat on the outskirts of the Kent market town of Faversham.
We are only a 15-minute drive from the historic Canterbury and Whitstable Castle, and within easy reach of the Channel Tunnel. Our tastefully-decorated boutique accommodation mixes modern flair with traditional fittings dating back to the original building of 1680.
We have 26 individually-styled bedrooms, many of which enjoy beautiful views of the parkland and are located on the ground floor, with direct access to the car park. For an extra touch of luxury, we have deluxe rooms and suites.
Each room is bright and airy, with Freeview TV, a hospitality tray and free Wi-Fi. So whether you are here on a leisure break or business trip, you will appreciate our comfortable rooms and great food and drink.
There is currently work being carried out at the hotel to create a new spa area opening in 2024. There is a fenced-off area for health and safety reasons but these works do not affect the operation of the hotel.

It was ok. Team were very friendly. Room was clean. Food was meh for dinner. But o felt bad saying something because staff were so nice. Room appeared quiet but at night there were weird humming noises almost like there’s a washing machine spinning nearby. My room was at the end of a small but very dark corridor. Light sensor activated was ok on entrance but when I come out the room it doesn’t trigger until I’m half way down. Breakfast was fine.

Very nice staff, delicious breakfast. Had trouble finding plates, cups and glasses at breakfast but that’s because we were a bit late and they had a Christmas party of 130 going on! Bedroom was very nice but the mattress was too much hard for us. Good value overall.

We stayed at this hotel for a family wedding. We returned to our room at 11pm to find all the bedding was wet, at reception they stated that the bedding was cold and offered another room which we agreed to but then received a visit from staff stating they would change the bedding. They said the bedding had arrived wet that morning and this must have alipped through, how on earth was the bed made with wet bedding! They arrived to change it but only came with the linen not the inners. The linens were changed and they left but they werevstill damp. We chose to sleep on towels as we were exhausted from a busy day. Wont stay again for the price we paid which wasnt cheap.

This hotel is part of the Best Western Sure Collection. I have stayed here several times before and not been disappointed. I am delighted to say that this stay was no different but actually exceeded expectations. The staff on reception were so friendly and welcoming. I booked in for an evening meal. My room was around the back where there was additional parking in from of the lodge. My room was a suite with a proper full size, king size bed. There were welcome gifts on hand and the whole room was laid out wonderfully with two desks, a settee, coffee table and chaise longue. There was a fridge which was very convenient. The bathroom was of a high standard with a shower that worked very well. The evening meal was adequate followed by a fantastic night's sleep and a well-cooked breakfast to start the day off right. My stay cost just over £100 which represented amazing value for money.

Whilst the hotel looks a little tired from the outside, the reception, bar & restaurant looked lovely and there was a nice atmosphere.
The hotel had an event so was very busy, but the staff were attentive albeit under a bit of pressure but were efficient & friendly.

The only thing that stopped this hotel experience being five star across the board was the hairdryer…it’s a pet hate of mine when hotels provide teeny tiny hairdryers that don’t really do much more than move your hair around a bit. Lol. Otherwise this stay was absolute great in every way. A real gem and we will be back.

I turned up exhausted after 11pm after driving from Aberdeen and place was closed. Bit of a shock as i thought it was a hotel chain 24/7. However. There was a number to call and someone turned up fairly quickly to let me in. Room was beautiful. Wish id got there sooner so i could have used it more. Will try again.

My son lives in Canterbury so we have often visited Kent but decided to explore Faversham.
The interaction with staff was not 'text book training' but friendly and genuine.
Our waitress, Sam, felt like a new friend and was attentive without being intrusive. On a busy evening, the manager took time to indulge us in the history of the building while efficiently attending to a coach party and taking our order.

The room booked was a deluxe suite away from the main hotel. On arrival, the receptionist struggled to find our booking but after showing the email confirmation, an arrival form was located under an incorrect spelling of our surname. The suite was spacious, well appointed and tastefully decorated. The staff in the dining room were helpful but a little slow in bringing drinks to the table. The evening meal was well cooked and presented. The breakfast was buffet style with an excellent selection of fresh fruit, cereals, hot food and preserves for your toast. All in all a good stay.

Lovely hotel but it is dated, my sleep was comfortable. Staff were super helpful, the property is surrounded by lovely green but you do need the car to go to town centre of faversham. I would recommend someone staying here if you just want a good nights sleep without the frills

Had a good two stays one in a garden room and the other in the main hotel. Garden rooms much larger and convenient for car to room but sound from next door rooms could be heard. Main hotel room much smaller but no noise at all. Both had very comfortable beds and well stocked with everything needed. Restaurant food was good and staff attentive and professional. Altogether a good two stays and would use again. Surrounding views lovely.

The whole place just needed a bit of a spruce up. Shutters on our 'cottage' were hanging off. Loads of cobwebs in the room. Floor didnt look as though it had been vacuumed. Very noisy fridge whuch i unplugged and water tank that woke me at 4am. Thin walls so i heard next door arguing and their TV. Dressing gowns which was great, unfortunately they were damp. Pluses. Bathroom was modern, bed comfortable and a good breakfast with lots of choice.

I had a call from reception checking we had eaten as the kitchen would probably be closed on our arrival (approx 20:30) which was helpful as a heads up. Breakfast was good.

If you want a perfect hotel, this is not quite the place. There are lots of little things I could be picky about but I won’t. I won’t because the staff here are magnificent. Excellent service, but done in such a friendly way that you really feel at home.

Parking limited, but it is there in front of the reception office. The hotel rooms are around the back, which is a short walk. This hotel has a lot of potential, I just wasn't impressed with the cleanliness in the room as it was shocking with spiders, cobwebs, dust and insufficient curtain coverage on the window and doors. This was not a bad experience, there is a lot of effort made to improve this hotel and it shoudnt be dismissed, but it is a little rough around the edges.

Hotel was nicely decorated and felt clean and tidy. It was 5 mins by car outside of Faversham so quiet area.
Our room had a King bed but was very compact, particularly the shower room considering we had booked a superior room on hotels.com. As I had read other reviews stating the rooms were small, I could not see anywhere on the room descriptions to their size.
We could see through a window of a ground floor room which was huge by comparison.
The shower took an age to heat up (in that we had given up and assumed it wasn't working). Apparently the boiler is the other end of the hotel, which is fine we could just have done with being told this on check-in.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Janet and her staff team are lovely. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was very tasty, good quality, fresh produce. The pictures don't do the grounds justice, amazing parkland surroundings. Even the Proprietor for the hotel is so welcoming and down to earth. Would definitely visit again.

Traved to hotel to attend prog rock festival \"A New Day\" arrived 4 hours before booking time, receptionists booked me in, and gave me my key as I would not be leaving the festival till late. She also gave me instructions on how to avoided the road works on getting to the venue. I had an issue with the shower and when I mentioned it the hotel moved me to a different room, I had to pack and leave my stuff and they moved it to my new room, breakfast was good, very high quality sausage and bacon, staff were very attentive and friendly. Every member of stsff I met were cheerful and very pleasant. A beautiful hotel which unfortunately I did not have any spare time to enjoy.

Room was very cold and the heater provided takes a very long time to heat up the room. It smelt heavily of freshly painted satinwood paint throughout and the bathroom had a foul odour to it which didn’t go away.
