We paid for continental breakfast (£14) but on arrival there were no pastries, butter or toasts. I had to ask for it to be told that all the pastries were gone. We only got given toasts and no reduction of the breakfast was offered.

The TV didn’t work. There was hair in the bathroom. Tissue in the corner of the room. The room is not very sound proof and could hear people coming and going. Was charged £30 for a dog. Whilst appreciate this was to cover the bed, toy and food. Would be better to be given the option and a lower price as none of this was needed. Upon check in we were told it would be £15 pp to use the pool. This was not clear on the booking. For somewhere with so much emphasis on luxury we found the room to be very basic. Finally two single beds pushed together with single duvets does not make it a double. Wouldn’t recommend.

The room (lord percy I recall) was very dated, with cracked tiles in the bathroom and no shampoo in the shower, just conditioner and body wash.
The toilet seat would not stay lifted, not an issue for me but it was for my boyfriend.
The spa was beyond disappointing - the sauna and indoor jacuzzi were out of order which is unacceptable considering the amount you pay to attend the spa for the day. We were never informed thar these facilities weren't working on arrival. I had to try 6 lockers in the changing room before finally gaining assistance from the reception where the lady reset my band. This may sound trivial but considering the calibre of this establishment I would not expect this.
Lastly, there was a razor by the outside hydropool which was a health and safety issue more than anything else, I appreciate the spa cannot control what guests bring in and out of the spa but I am surprised this wasn't picked up on the cameras.
Marlon in the spa restaurant was the highlight, he truly went above and beyond - shame this wasn't the case throughout the hotel and spa. Although I must mention that there was food splattered up the wall in the corner where we were seated for lunch.

I stayed here as a birthday treat for my partner, however with the amount i paid for the room around £200 i did not expect the last persons hair on the bathroom floor, mould in the shower, a bathtub that doesnt drain, mould around the edges of the bathroom. I asked for a fridge so keep champagne cold and got delivered a broken one, nd when i phone and politley informed them of this i did not get a replacement. Upon leaving i was going to mention all these things but the receptionist was already flustered due to abother couple complaining so i didnt want to add this in too as it is down to whoever hires the cleaning employees not the receptionist. I wouldnt stay here again especially for that money. However the food in the restuaraunt gardenia was amazing and i would dine there again! So maybe just go for a massage and dinner then stay at a nice premier inn.

Unbeknown to me when booking, the hotel is dog friendly, this is not clear on the website. We were allocated a room in the “Mews cottages” and in the room above ours were 2 dogs!! Due to there being a wedding on site of which I suspects the dogs owners were at, the dogs barked loudly everytime anybody came into the building to around 1am when the owners came back.

Not anybody’s fault but it could be made clearer on the website that the hotel allows dogs in there accommodation.

Eastwell Manor is simply a stunning property with a beautiful building. We were unable to avail ourselves of any of the spa options, but there are many. We enjoyed our time immensely. Both evenings we dined in the bar, which has an extremely limited menu. If we had one complaint that would probably be the one. The staff was extremely accommodating.

Disappointing experience

Sadly didn’t meet expectations, chaotic check-in with 2 1/2 hour delay to get into our room. The room in the mews cottage was ok but in dire need of attention, broken fittings, fraying carpets, cups didn’t fit in the coffee machine etc and dirty linen and food trays left for ages at bottom of stairs. Space in spa was limited so difficult if weather too cold to be outdoors, lockers in changing rooms broken or locks not working. Lovely setting and grounds but whole place badly in need of refurbishment and better management as staff trying their best but obviously stretched.

Grounds are stunning, room comfortable but couldn’t get WiFi chrome cast to work - frustrating.
Service in bar shocking, everyone was complaining. Was given a pizza that did not have correct ingredients on it as per menu, kitchen had decided to improvise due to having run out of ingredients without any communication. Not to be awkward but my son didn’t want a pizza smothered in gherkins as he doesn’t like them. This is not ok, especially if someone were to have allergies! No apology or acceptance of mistake. Distinct absence of customer care. Staff at breakfast good.

AVOID- caused bad foot poisoning

My stay at this hotel back in March 2025 was very disappointing, followed a series of issues that ruined the overall experience. The spa facilities were notably dirty, with unsanitary conditions and several key amenities, such as the sauna and jets, being non-operational.
The dining experience was equally disheartening. The restaurant's food quality was shockingly poor, failing to justify its expensive prices. Wl me e were initially informed by multiple staff members, including the front desk and a waitress, about a £35 dinner voucher per person. This promise influenced our menu selections, only to be rescinded upon payment, leading to considerable frustration and a breach of trust.
The situation escalated further when both my partner and I suffered severe food poisoning shortly after dinner. This not only ruined our evening but also cast a pall over the entire weekend. During checkout, I overheard other guests voicing similar complaints about the misleading voucher situation, highlighting a systemic problem of unprofessionalism. The hotel staff's dismissive and rude handling of these issues. They took my contact details saying they will investigate but failed to follow up on my complaint, further compounded my dissatisfaction. I strongly advise potential guests to listen to the negative reviews and avoid this establishment unless they are prepared for disappointment and financial loss.

Initially we had a problem with our room but the staff dealt with it very well and we were moved to another room.
Overall we found the staff very helpful and efficient. Our first breakfast was in the spa and service there was slow.
Eastwell Manor is a beautiful building in a beautiful setting. We felt our stay there was good but yet there were a number of things that could be improved on and managed more efficiently. It’s worth a visit though despite this.

Restaurant was already fully booked even for guests staying overnight. Guest should have priority partially when the hotel is in a rural location. Generally, staff were not as attentive or polite as when I've stayed before. Took 3 days for a VAT receipt and three phone calls. Breakfast DIY tea was down market and not in teapots. Run out of bread for toast that's poor for price point paid. Plumbing extremely noisy in adjacent room with loud screeching I assume when taps turned on? Gym and spa very good. Staff there were very polite and helpful. I always stay in hotels with spa facilities when on business but will give Eastwell a miss next visit to Kent.

Main hotel building is beautiful and the bar service in the evening was good. At breakfast on a Saturday morning, there didn’t seem to be enough staff helping serve a busy restaurant. We stayed in the Mews Cottages, overall the value for money was good; however, the rooms need some work to maintain them. The windows didn’t close properly, meaning the bathroom was very cold and the television didn’t work.

Stunning Manor House - afternoon tea was Ok, just one lady looking after the lounge area. Clearly understaffed and only had one drink, got drinks menu and no one ever came back. Would have spent more money but missed opportunity. Room was shabby, cobwebs in windows and bedside lamps, badly water stained wallpaper in window in bedroom (Room 621). Breakfast was poorly organised too - only one person allowed to take orders it appeared. Big pots of pre made coffee that you help yourself too, buffet table not topped up regularly. Again, not enough staff.
Bar service was poor also, long waits and was given alcoholic beer when ordered non alcoholic beer. Very pleased we dined at local pub down the road (highly recommend doing this if you have to stay at this place). The appearance does not match the poor standards inside. We will not be returning

A little disappointing 😞

Our stay at Champneys Ashford this time wasn't as good as last time unfortunately. We couldn't enjoy the spa freely because of the restrictions on entry times for certain guests. Also, the chlorine levels were so high that everyone's eyes were stinging.
And on the second day, the jacuzzi wasn't working at all.
There were no robes in anyone's rooms so people were having to chase around to find their own robes.
The bedroom was filled with cobwebs and was quite chilly, but somehow I managed to get burnt by the piping hot towel rail in the bathroom. A bit dangerous!

As a married couple, we wanted a romantic spa break so booked a double room. However, we ended up with twin beds pushed together. So no snuggles for us unfortunately.

The breakfast was okay, and the staff were very friendly, but we waited over 45mins for our breakfast to be cooked which took us past the 11am checkout time, and then we almost missed our cab to the station. Let's hope they don't deduct my account for late checkout.
Unfortunately I don't think we will be back again. Although the grounds are beautiful, the standards seem to be slipping.

When arriving at check in time, we were told to wait by the fire place. After waiting 15 minutes, 3 couples had walked in and checked in. Unsure why we had to wait. When mentioned to staff member at check in. She claims she had no idea.
The room placement was set next to a busy door for other hotel users. This was very loud and disturbing.
Room was small and cosy but interior was fairly dated. Ceilings were peeling, wall paint peeling and dust in all corners of the room.
Requested a king bed for couple and received 2 single beds butted up together.
Spa facilities were good and clean.

The grounds and main building are lovely but it’s worth noting that the accommodation bought on Expedia was not in the main building but a modern building on the same site. After initial teething problems with the room we enjoyed our overnight stay. The weather was beautiful enabling use of the outdoor pool which was a very relaxing area compared to the busy indoor spa facilities. The restaurant was fabulous for dinner and breakfast.

Stunning old mansion, beautiful views and gardens , escape from the real world to past times , we took two dogs , lovely walks , we didn't use the spa , outdoor pool was very nice, our room was away from the main house in the mews , I would say a little tired and needing some love and attention but warm and comfortable, everything worked. Breakfast was very nice good selection service good , our last day breakfast was a let down , served cold and not as good as the other days (maybe different chef). We were lucky enough to be shown some of the rooms in the main house stunning with amazing views old fashioned luxury with modern twists , yes it's old and needs constant maintenance more in some areas , but for us a very nice break loved the peace and quiet , don't be put off by the poor reviews go and see for yourself
We can all pick faults and give bad reviews for small things that irritate, annoy it's a lovely old mansion enjoy it

We stayed at Eastwell Manor for our wedding anniversary and before giving feedback I should say we were very fortunate to get a fantastic deal on Expedia so paid significantly less than others we spoke to at the hotel. However, I have based my review on it being a Champneys 4 star hotel.

The grounds are absolutely stunning. 5 stars! But there’s not really anywhere to sit and enjoy them.

Checking in was fine, but when we went to our Mews our key didn’t work. We had to return to the manor twice to sort this out as the second time it still didn’t work. It therefore took us about an hour to eventually get in our room which ate into our evening spa time, but the staff were very good and they did kindly give us a free drink in the bar.

The room was fine, a bit bare but nice enough. We were told by staff that this room was usually used by staff who lived there. I think we were put in that room due to my asthma and dog allergy. It had a lovely large bed, bit hard so gave me a sore back.

Bathroom was nice but it was a bit dirty, cobwebs, mould in shower. The windows didn’t close in the bedroom which meant it was a bit noisy from outside, and it was cold overnight.

Breakfast on the first day was very stressful and it slow and it took over an hour to get our food. They were clearly understaffed. The second day was quieter and much better.

We have stayed at other Champneys and this doesn’t compare. Luckily we only paid Expedia prices though as not worth the full price.

A slightly disappointing stay. We were in the Mews Cottages which were cheaper, but the room was nothing like the pictures. There were cobwebs everywhere, a very cheap and old shower head with taps to control temp but extremely hot water. The taps, plugs etc were all very old and covered in limescale. The carpet was poorly fitting and wrinkling everwhere and the mattress felt old and needed a topper. I felt these things could easily be repaired for future guests.
Breakfast was good but a long (20 minute wait) for hot food after ordering.
Majority of staff were really friendly but it’s a shame the hotel is let down but the tiredness of it all including gardens, bedroom and spa. I have never been in a pool with so much dirt at the bottom of it.

Had a weekend stay. The mews room was nice and the grounds were beautiful.

Overall it was a pleasant stay and I had a good time but it was not luxurious.

The service in the dining areas was not great. We did not stay for dinner but at breakfast and lunch we had to call over staff whenever we wanted to order, food came before drinks, breakfast buffet was average. The lunch and ordered breakfast were lovely though.

The spa was also average. Pool was nice but there were not enough seats for the amount of people there so not relaxing when you need to find somewhere. One of the pools was out of order as was a sauna, it was also extremely warm in the spa area.

A terrible stay. It started with being told at check in that the spa wasn’t available to us until 5pm. Once going to the spa, no beds to relax on. Pool was dirty, with missing tiles which resulted in my cutting my foot. When reporting this to reception they issued me a plaster but that’s all, no care. Room was basic, dated and dirty with spiders webs in the corners. There was a wedding on the day we stayed, noisy at night from guests. Went to relax at eastwell but was not the place to relax. Wouldn’t recommend and a disappointing birthday stay

We stayed here for a special occasion being our anniversary but unfortunately found the hotel to be really poor overall. The main problem like many of the comments in the spa facilities and pool area, it’s the opposite to a place to a relax and more so a place you do not really want to be.

Breakfast included was stale and poor and paid breakfast is at an extortionate price.

We wasn’t offered any spa options nor would I pay for it.

Seems a real shame as other Champneys have been so nice

Service is terrible. It gets worse and worse. We used to love this hotel. Takes 1 hour to get drinks. Then on check out we are informes everything has already come off our paymebt card. Denanded to check the bill and were massivly over charged. Still waiting the reimbursement 3 months later.

My wife rang ahead due to ETA after 10 pm and were told the booking was cancelled (by the hotel for no apparent reason) and they were ‘full’. Rang Expedia and a room became available…. Stressful situation as all of this evolved during the motorway journey. Fortunate that the hotel was worth the fight. Circumspect about booking again.

Booked with reception breskfast. Went to breakfast to tell us it was closing. Let us in had to hurry with order. Lady on reception booked us a three course lunch and in restaurant we was told it’s two course. Stayed at lots of spas this property had no flip flops which says you get them. Toiletries in room was empty. Overall I don’t feel in any hurry to retur. we have stayed at cheaper spas with better facilities. Was not enough staff on.

Eastwell manor made our first trip to Europe a memorable and magical experience. The grounds are breathtaking. Axle and Shelby were extremely helpful. They both went the extra mile to help us. Shelby helped with our accommodations and Axle helped us get taxis, gave us information on the train, and made our adventure go off splendidly! We are going to miss waking up with the smells of flowers, the birds singing, and eating breakfast while looking out over the gardens.

The drive into the hotel grounds had old outdated signs that did not give a good first impression (red hotel is this way sign), the approach to the manor on the other hand was nice and impressive. I paid for the “spa day upgrade” which provided access to the spa facilities for the day. On entering the spa they ran out of robes which is very surprising for a spa when the selling point is being able to be in a robe all day. We then had to wait 30 minutes for our robes to be received and whilst we waited we were told to grab a coffee but there was no one there to seat us or even offer beverages. Once receiving gowns we went to the spa to find that there were no beds and we hat to just sit separately away from each other. The spa should have only sold access to the spa and beds for those who upgraded or paid the expensive surcharge. On checking in for our room I was able to upgrade to a manor room however the manor room was incredibly poor and dirty I.e stains on the floor, bathroom not cleaned and the toilet took 5 minutes to refill the water upon flushing. When it came to the service, the team was quite clearly over run. After leaving the spa we checked out the bar and ordered a tea, small desert and a snack, it took minutes to receive the desert but the tea and snack never arrived after 20 minutes so had to request a refund. The same situation happened for dinner ordering cheese, it took over 20 minutes to receive 3 cheeses. Overall it was far a below average stay

A step back in time.

Beautiful location, very relaxing and a step back into history at the same time. Only real criticism was that the bathroom windows would not close properly as they were clearly written and in need of repair. As regards Champneys, nice facility, however, clearly getting tired with plaster falling off adjacent to the sauna and the showers in need of an update. I booked two rooms at the hotel for my husband and myself and two friends. No curtains or blind at the window in our friends room! We complained and a blind was fitted which was aprox 2feet too short, so a further blind was taped onto the bottom..this fell off!! Our friends were moved to a better room. My husband took a shower only to find all the toiletries in the shower completely empty. We also had to ask for teas, coffees etc. This morning the sink tap came off in my husbands hand. We waited 20 mins for a coffee at breakfast time and a further 15 mi s before my husbands scrambled eggs arrived after we had to remind the staff! Our bills were also wrong. Such a beautiful place but so disappointing . Our friends were given a discount, we were offered nothing! The cleaner left a huge vacum cleaner, pipes and all outside our room, obviously too lazy to put it away.

The staff were very caring, kind and considerate. They were breath fresh air. There were areas of the estate that could do with some work but overall, it was very good. The grounds were beautiful to hold, and the food was very good. The room was good but the beds was a little uncomfortable and the pillows flat. It would’ve been nice if there was a minibar but none of these spoiled our time there. We would come again. thank you for making our time there special.

Beautiful hotel and grounds however we did feel some areas looked a bit tired. We stayed in a cottage in the grounds and room needed a repair and paint

Spa was tired too and the time restrictions of 7-10 am, 5-9 pm were not ideal as you needed to fit in breakfast and dinner too. So no chance of a lay in on our break which was a shame

Some of the staff were great! Tommy on reception and also a new member of staff in restaurant from Australia had great customer service. It’s a shame some of the breakfast staff let things down

Overall we had a lovely weekend and would go back but there is definitely room for improvement

When a hotel is classed as a Champneys Spa Resort, one tends to think of high class swankiness with first class service and facilities to leave an impression. We didn’t use the spa facilities but had Afternoon Tea which was very good and the young lady that appeared to be working on her own in the lounge was excellent in her care and attention.
We then tried to check in at 245 to be told we would have to wait for a room key as check in was at 3pm. At 3pm we queued up for our room key to be told that our room was still “dirty” and so wasn’t ready yet. After waiting a further half an hour we were told once again that our room wasn’t ready. We were finally in our room at 420pm, an hour and 20 minutes after it should have been ready.
The room wasn’t really worth the wait, a window that didn’t close properly (thankfully it wasn’t winter), a carpet that looked like it had been scratched by dogs and a TV that didn’t work. We tried calling reception to report issues but they don’t seem to like answering the phone. Upon checkout we weren’t even asked if everything was ok with our stay, hence me happily venting my spleen on here about the mildly irritating intricacies of our stay.

Expensive price, average quality.

I’ll break my review down into component parts for individual review.

I booked this trip as a relaxing treat for my partner for her birthday. I booked her 4 treatments (Elemis Pro Glo Resurface Facial, Lava Shell Full Body Massage, Champneys Manicure and Pedicure)
She told me the facial was excellent 8/10, massage great 7/10, and Manicure and Pedicure were good 6/10.
The food over our stay was excellent 9/10.

The Day Spa was quite basic and I was very underwhelmed. A basic pool, hot tub was out of use, steam room and sauna. Nothing to write home about 5/10.

Our room for the night again was very basic, and the heating didn’t work so was very cold. I thought the room was overpriced and not much better than a premier inn for more than twice the price. 4/10.

So my overall rating for all would be 5.5-6 out of 10. Rating - quite average.

We had high expectations but didn’t have a good stay due to the poor room quality. We were given a twin instead of double bed despite our request. The bathroom ceiling filter broke on the first night of our arrival & therefore maintenance had to fix it. Despite us reminding x3, housekeeping wasn’t done. Whilst the spa was nice & staff friendly, considering the price paid, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here

I had expected a little more from a Champneys hotel.
The hotel was beautiful, staff all very friendly and attentive.
Breakfast was tasty and filling
The room was a good size however there were a number of issues. The taps made a loud squeaking noise when switched on, the windows opened but they were either wide open or shut seemed the catch was broken. The sheet on the bed didnt cover the mattress fully and had a hole in it and the pillows were not comfortable. I woke up with a headache due to sleeping awkwardly.
Tried to call reception about these points but no one answered.
For the money they ask for this room I dont feel we got our moneys worth
I really expected more of a luxury experience than the reality.

Upon arrival wasn’t told about spa access times or breakfast times and location, felt a little rushed.

Spa and pool area is not clean, purely staffed and the number of guests in it isn’t accounted for so made it incredibly over crowed and not pleasant to stay.

Rooms are not kept modern and poor bed linen.

Breakfast was greater by a leaking ceiling and guests not moved elsewhere - service was incredibly slow before that even happened. Full English however was decent.

Overall a let down and a waste of money.

Ground were lovely - but just an ok break overall

Hotel grounds and building are very impressive. The spa is in need of a bit of maintenance - jacuzzi was not working - and 2 of the 3 jets in the aqua pool were broken. Paint was coming off the ceiling too. Pool area was quite crowded so you didn’t have the sense of relaxation that I wanted. Sauna and steam room were good. My wife had a treatment and that was lovely as were all the staff.
Main hotel feels like it is being run as a training centre - everyone was quite young and they didn’t provide the best of service. It also felt like they were rushed off their feet or maybe a little inefficient. Waited in the terrace for 15 minutes until being server by a polite young man who had walked past us several times only taking one order at a time. So maybe that was also part of the problem. Bar staff were very friendly when I got fed up and got the drinks myself later on after dinner. Food was good but again service was a little slow and no real follow up to check if we were ok and to provide more drinks. Overall the stay was ok - but not as good as we were hoping for especially for the price paid.

Very disappointed! Not worth it, at all!

Having spent as much as we did and knowing we were coming to a supposed 4 star hotel to say we were disappointed is an understatement! We were initially ignored on arrival as the conversation the employees were having was obviously more important than guests. Once acknowledged, check in was great. However our room was tiny, dirty on the carpets and window sill and spiders all over the ceiling, not at all what we expected! The TV was totally useless and had no access to any channels or apps! Thankfully the bed was comfortable so we slept well. Breakfast the next morning was a shambles! Took over an hour to be served! The cold buffet was tasty, but ran out quickly, staff didn’t seem to notice. The cooked breakfast was bland, over cooked and some parts, inedible!!
Thankfully the Spa and massage were amazing but these were paid for separately. Avoid the hotel, they don’t seem bothered by customer’s dissatisfaction either.

This was our second visit to Eastwell Manor. We love the hotel and grounds, but this time around it didn’t seem to feel as special. On our first day the showers in the Champneys spa were broken. The outside pool had a lot of dirt in the bottom and didn’t seem to have been cleaned for a while. Strangely outside of our room were about 10 dead wasps on the cream coloured carpet. Whilst the cleaners had been in and cleaned our room, they seem to have stepped over the walls and left them there for our 3 day stay (they were very difficult to miss). The room was pleasant but extremely hot and had no comfort cooling/heating system. Even with a fan it was very hot.

Eastwell manor dirty unclean rooms

Eastwell manor is supposed to be rated 4 stars. The spa experience definitely is, the quality of the room’s especially in the mews is appalling. We had to change our room as on arrival the toilet seat was hanging off, the shower curtain was hanging off the shower didn’t work. The room carpet was filthy stained and the room was dirty. The room we were moved to was also filthy the wooden floor was stained with white paint and generally marked with stains from spilt drinks. The shower door leaked and the tray was rusting at each end of the door. We had 6 rooms booked in total all our friends even those in the main building had similar issues regards the cleanliness. My daughter the bride to be couldn’t even shower in her own room due to no water from the shower head. Appalling.

Really disappointed, was expecting a lot more , my room was tiny , could barley walk in there, no air con the windows had rotted where the wood was rotting away , spiders all in the room and wasps in the hall way. The spa facilities one of the jacuzzis wasn't working , the ceiling looked like it was falling off in the jacuzzi area , however I will say the staff were all lovely and the rest of the spa was good. The outside area was beautiful I feel that's the only think other than the spa that compliments this hotel.

TV took an age to switch on, bathroom window wouldn't open, shower sealant black and peeling, pot cover on hot tap kept falling off, sink plug useless, bedroom window wouldn't lock and most of paint flaking off. Steam iron leaking which soaked clean clothes requested replacement which was never delivered. Waited over 60 mins to check in with only 2 people on the desks. No queing system guest were anxious and rather frustrated. The breakfast and main hotel building was excellent and staff most helpful at other times especially. Louie in the bar was most helpful. Sadly, not deserving of the expenditure associated with the standards and those received at Tring..

Probably the poorest service I’ve received

Although a beautiful hotel we had a horrible experience staying there. In the middle of the night at past 1.30 AM they were building up for a wedding the next day. The young staff doing the set up were neither mindful to sleeping guests nor trying to be quiet. Instead banging doors, chit chatting loudly and thus making it impossible to sleep. At past 1.30 AM I left our room and yelled at their staff as I still couldn’t not fall asleep. It was insane. I have never stayed at a luxury hotel with so much disregard for their guests. Past 12 AM there should be NO NOISE created by staff. The breakfast area is also a hectic frenzy with no oversight. It was obvious the guests were getting incredibly poor service and were visibly unhappy. We slept so poorly that our relaxing night away stay had an adverse effect on our energy throughout the rest of the week. At check out I asked the lady to speak to a manager. She said the manager would be in touch and took my details. To this day 5+ weeks after no one has ever called me back ( even though I called a few days later to ask when the manager would make the time to talk to me). Ridiculous and just unfortunate that you receive this kind of service at a hotel like this.

A Disheartening Mini Moon Experience - Room Co

heavy heart, as I feel compelled to express my profound disappointment and frustration regarding the recent stay at your establishment. My wife and I chose to celebrate our recent marriage by embarking on a mini moon at your esteemed location after our wedding on the 2nd of July 2023. Regrettably, our experience proved to be far from what we had envisioned.

From the moment we stepped into our assigned rooms, our excitement quickly turned to dismay. The initial room we were given presented an utterly disconcerting sight. To our astonishment, dead insects were strewn across the floors, the bathroom was in an abhorrent state with remnants of rubbish scattered about, and the bed sheets were covered in foundation. Adding to our distress, the door had been left wide open upon our arrival.

Hoping for a reprieve, we requested a room change, only to be met with further disappointment. The second room, too, left much to be desired. Disturbingly, we discovered mould infesting the floor near the bath and bathroom, as evidenced by the attached photos. The bed was marred by strands of hair, and the floor exhibited an unsightly mess, as depicted in the images shared. The glassware provided was also stained with lipstick marks, and a red blemish on the bed frame only compounded our dissatisfaction. To our disbelief, even the window had been shattered.

Eastwell Manor must rate as one of the most beautiful hotels in the UK. The building is incredible, the staff are wonderful and the whole experience one of total relaxation.

I stayed in one of the rooms in the annex and the bed left a bit to be desired but everything else during my brief stay was perfect.

The Best Bedroom Ever

We had a lovely stay here for my Birthday, the bedroom was to die for with a four poster bed looking out onto the gardens. Breakfast was very dis-organised and our room wasn't ready upon arrival. The spa was lovely but a bit disappointing that we had limited times and hours to use it. Thank god it was a hot day and we could sunbathe by the outside pool. Would go back again though as the walks around the area are fabulous.

This was our first stay in a mews house, having been based in the main hotel before. We arrived during a rainy cold weekend to find the room cold - the radiator off and no underfloor heating on to heat what was a very chilly tiled floor with no carpeting. Decor was disappointing and a little faded; not enough tea and coffee supplies were given and the soap dispensers in the bathroom needed the life squeezed out of them to oblige with a sullen splurge. Even the dressing gowns had seen better days. What a shame.

Main building and grounds were stunning. Bar staff were amazing. Room was not up to the price and housekeeping was poor, shower gel shampoo and conditioner bottles left empty, room simple and basic for the price. Had to shower at the spa, which was adequate but nothing special. Breakfast was nice but the servers were struggling to keep up with demand, clearly under staffed, meaning long waits and slow turn around of tables. Staff uninterested in our feedback on check out
