Style over substance in a lot of areas. Spa is a very small pool area with 4 beds which you can’t access until check in. Default answer to any request is no. We only gave our name at reception to be ushered back out the door and told to comeback later. No offer to hold luggage, told to go and sit outside restaurant and that there would be no food. Reception staff especially rude and unprofessional. Tasting menu good but surrounded by screaming babies and only one good server. Again any changes to menu told no and only the manageress had any idea on customer service

Was a lovely place but wast informed by email or on arrival that the spa , sauna and steam room was out of order which is very up setting as I booked the room and spent all that money on a room and couldn’t relax in the spa I also wast informed on arrival which was very unprofessional

The room was amazing and the staff were so lovely and welcoming. Food was 10/10, had to wait a max probably 10 mins for food each time. The service was just top tier. The room was so clean and tidy, and trust me the bed was so comfortable, you could literally just sink into it. Spa was so relaxing and quiet. You can order drinks to your lounger. The cave hotel was just the best stay. I wish we booked a longer stay ! Definitely worth every penny. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you The Cave Hotel.

Would not necessarily say it was worth the money. You opened the curtains to people walking straight past your room so had no privacy and the food in the cowgirl was extremely slow we waiting an hour and 20 minutes for breakfast. The spa is also very small with only 4 beds

I love this hotel, I stay 2-3 nights each week and the staff all know me and are super helpful and professional. In a 5 star hotel, it’s the service that sets the hotel apart and that’s so true here.

I wish the clientele weren’t so ghetto, but the rooms are soundproofed so I don’t normally hear the partying going on.

Overall good stay, restaurant staff and cleaners were very polite and friendly. Very peaceful settings, easy parking. Loved the golfing range and price.

Cleanliness (attention to detail) lacked at times, found a popped balloon under the seat upon check in, the drawers leather was peeling away and creaked whenever you opened or closed it, no toilet scrub brush, found hair in various places. Also, internet stopped working for like an hour one evening so couldn’t watch apps on tv.

Overhyped and overpriced!
Hotel had no atmosphere. Bar staff had no personality or warmth about them. Didn’t know what/how to make an Irish coffee! Firepit restaurant food was very nice but overpriced. Staff friendlier but again quite functional-messed up bill so we currently have 2 payments out and awaiting a refund of incorrect bill! Bar was closed by 11pm.

Beautiful hotel. We were greeted by a glass of prosecco whilst we checked in. We had a standard room which was more than adequate in size and it has the softest bed and linen I think I have ever stayed in, the room had a balcony looking out over part of the golf course. We played golf and used the spa after which is intimate in size but well worth using. We ate in both restaurants and had breakfast on the terrace both mornings. The food is very much American asian infusion and is fantastic. Not massively vegan friendly menu but they made the effort to cater for me. Everyone one was really friendly and nothing was too much of an ask. They also have amazing cars if you want to be chauffeured!

The hotel in general is good, however the bed is uncomfortable and way too soft. The pillows were very hard too. The bath lovely, the shower not bad. The korean restaurant food wasnt bad but its literally meat...needs more veg or salad option as its very rich. The ribs were quite dry, the turkey was nice though and the cocktails were good.
Overall it was just ok....some of the staff were quite miserable looking and moody. I asked for the breakfast to be placed on the table inside the room and the staff was very irritated by this....nt sure if id return to this hotel again in a hurry. Shame..

For the price point you don’t get much included. Also most of the clientele that is staying there are young teenagers some immature the spa pool had cocktail glasses in the pool. It is portrayed like it is much bigger and much luxurious online however is very disappointing in person however that is marketing for you.

Nice place to stay for a weekend getaway very nice and clean only issue for me was that in the mornings around 10am there was a lot of noise by cleaning staff and could be heard inside the room also requested an iron to not be given it until the second time when I had to go to reception to ask for it the facilities within the hotel were great

Amazing hotel , restaurants are fabulous. The food was outstanding especially in the firepit. Staff were wonderful. The hydro pool was lovely but it’s very small with only 4 day beds in there . But it’s a golfing hotel not a Spa so we were not too disappointed as everything else was fantastic. Thank you for a great experience.

me and my partner had an absolutely amazing stay at the cave, it was our first time going away together and the facilities and staff especially made our stay unforgettable. the rooms where beautifully decorated, smelled fresh and were super clean. the pool facilities also where very hygienic. the lighting all across the hotel sets a calm layed back vibe. staff at reception where really efficient and helpful. we had a mean at the fire pit restaurant and everything was perfect, the food was great quality and service was seamless. absolutely worth the money, will definitely be visiting again soon.

Brilliant stay. Great service, rooms were so spacious and clean, with the comfiest bed we have ever slept in. Korean cowgirl restaurant was brilliant for dinner and brunch. Can’t fault it and will be back!

Our stay was really nice. Staff were hospitable, facilities were great too. We had the best sleep on that mattress, we couldn’t believe how comfortable it was. Only let down was that the special requests for breakfast weren’t upheld, so we had to reorder and we needed a spare toothbrush and even though they were fresh from the packaging, the wood had developed mould - downside of the material used, I guess.

Ambience , location , decor was brilliant. Firepit restaurant had delicious food. However they could do a bit more to cater for vegetarian and halal items in menu as there isn’t one ! Shower area was a bit outdated and needs renovation. AC in the room made noise all night long which was eventually reported and looked at but wasn’t fixed properly.

My only gripe was with the cocktails on the decking in the evening. London prices are fine if a mixologist is making them. The only decent one was the Lychee Mojito.

I booked a stay at the cave hotel with my wife for a honeymoon. The room itself was amazing very spacious, nice large tv and bathroom was gorgeous. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only suggestion would be for the hotel to cater more to Muslims in regards to catering, having halal food options would be beneficial as we had to spend quite a bit of money on takeaways. Also accommodating to other areas such as use of the spa possibly being able to book for a specific period of time alone in the spa due to preference and privacy purposes

We booked 2 nights here for our mini honeymoon, which I mentioned as part of my booking. We didn’t receive anything for our special occasion at all. I even responded to the hotel’s message 2 nights before our stay where they asked if we are celebrating a special occasion. I mentioned that we had just got married on Saturday so we would appreciate anything that can be done for us. However on check in there was no mention of this conversation and I had no response back from the hotel before we arrived. Later in the evening of our first night stay I asked the hotel staff whether they saw our message. He was genuinely helpful and told us the team doesn’t get back in until Tuesday to respond to messages. He said he will try to upgrade our room for our second night. However on the second night he mentioned that he wasn’t able to give us an upgrade and said he will try to organise something for our dinner later that evening. At dinner we received a congratulations mini dessert and 2 glasses of Prosecco. I’m quite disappointed at this lack of effort for us to celebrate our recent wedding, especially as I told them upon my booking and 2 days prior. There is also only one option for lunch at the hotel which is the Korean Cowgirl restaurant, and there are no nearby takeaway delivery places. Overall we would say the rooms are nice and kept clean, but there are clear lack of facilities and dining options. The rooms also didn’t have any place to dry the towels.

Please ask for her if you want a massage, as her massaged cured my headache and my boyfriends back pain (which he complains about everyday).
The only Hiccup I would say I didn't like, is that the chef didn't separate the yolk from the egg when asked. My boyfriend hates yolks and my only request was to separate the two and I heard him refuse that request. Which I was really confused about as its such a simple task.

The bedrooms have lots of modern technology (giant smart TV, mood lighting, automated curtains) but still felt plush and luxurious. The bed is the best bed I've ever slept in, to the point my partner and I are thinking of buying the bedding for our room at home, and the plush carpet is a real rarity in hotels these days.
The pool and spa area is small, but still has enough for a quick dip and relax, and is truly gorgeous.
Our dinner at the Firepit was the best meal I've ever had in my life. The tasting menu was incredible, and I don't think I'll ever stop thinking about the Voodoo shrimp.

The cave overall is a nice stay. For the money I wouldn’t say it’s anything above your average “nice” hotel. The facilities are extremely small and I would class it as a boutique hotel. You can only have 12 or 14 people (I can’t remember exactly) in the pool area at one time and there are only four places to sit down there.
The atmosphere was a little dull.
The staff were friendly, however, as soon as we had an issue everyone became dismissive.
The chlorine chemical levels in the pool were too high and it ruined my husbands swimming shorts. When I reported this at checkout they told me to email in. I emailed twice to get an initial reply and was emailed by Sergio - The General Manager. Sergio has since ignored further emails and have completely dismissed the correspondence.
I have to say, this has been a big disappointment. We spent just under a £1000 with the stay, plus drinks breakfast and dinner for one evening, so to have this level of disrespect shown is the reason for a lower star review.

We stayed in September and it was perfect. we stayed in the spa for hours had a lovely relaxing experience so we was always going to go back there.. i then booked to go there for january after we had seen they had refurbished their spa area expecting the same if not better experience but unfortunately we didnt.. everything from the room to the food and the staff were really nice as our previous visit but was a massive let down to go into the spa and both the pool and jacuzzi were freezing cold.. the main reason we booked to go back was the relaxing break in the spa which we spent 6-7 hours in last time instead we spent about 30 mins in there before having to get out as it was too cold to enjoy.. definitely ruined our visit this time around as we was expecting so much more..
