The receptionist was courteous and friendly. The apartment was clean and beautifully furnished and was great for us to stay in for a couple of nights. The paintwork needs a make over in the bedroom and bathroom and a new carpet in the bedroom but as they are renovating the outside I am assuming all this is on their to do list. It was a good stay though.

Only a short strip from the centre and parking is a real bonus. Nice building and cosy bar area. Breakfast was help yourself and had good variety.
Our room was directly above reception so on the road we could hear cars. Also the telephone started to ring loudly at reception at 7am which woke us.
Other than that it was nice and good value for money.

The room was not very clean. The shower has mildew growing between the shower tiles and around the exterior rim of the tub. There were spiders and a ton of cobwebs in the corners of the rooms. The carpet was dirty. The kitchen did not have enough plates for the number of beds offered. We did not use parking or the breakfast. The service was adequate, but we got locked out of the back door at 10am. We did enjoy our stay, and would stay again- but with the knowledge that this is not a 5-star stay

Stayed here over the weekend with my three
Girls and my partner, the host was polite and extremely attentive at our needs, sorting the hottub and also returning the arcaic TV, However he deserves to be working in a much better class
Of hotel.

TheHottub was opened for us, to severe grime and bird poo inside the hottub. the kids were only in for a minute and i think that was too long!! This hottub clearly hadnt been cleaned in weeks and needed emptying and given a deep clean

The cottage was run down, mould had taken over the cottage in every crevice and windowsills and could still be seen under the efforts of a recent paint job.

The cottage smelt damp and clearly visible, bedding felt damp maybe not given enough time to dry inbetween stays, the permanent bedsheets overhanging the beds were dirty and unwashed and looks like they had been their since 1914

The stain stricken sofabed in the lounge was in a disgusting state and i refused to let my child sleep on it.
The bathroom had remnants of the past occupiers with hairs everywhere inside the bath and sink, which needed to be washed out before use!
Cobwebs are a regular occurrence in this place and seems like the cleaner lost her duster, every corner, every lamp looked like a screenshot of the film arachnophobia.

Besides from that on a good note, the kitchen was new, clean and tidy and we managed to make dinner and breakfast quite easily with the utensils, just a shame the rest of the cottage lets it down.

Lovely stay in beautiful old house, close to the city center (10/15 min walk) with plenty of free parking on the premises. Room comfortable and clean. Free breakfast, which was buffet style in lovely dining room. Good selection of hot and continental style food although as with most breakfast buffets the hot food was a little dried up. Nice big garden out the back to explore and relax in. Can’t say enough about the great service especially the hard working Hungarian lady who was on reception all day and evening and then was serving us our breakfast! Would definitely stay again.

I had a great experience the first time I stayed at this place. And this would've been too if it hadn't been for a really unhelpful & rude member of staff who lacked any customer service skills. He was a young guy so I gave him another chance and he dealt with that just as poorly as the first time I tried to resolve my issue.
I found the management uncooperative with my complaint and reluctant to even acknowledge the incident never mind help with a resolution.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room did contain the word ‘small’ in the description but we hadn’t thought it would be so small. The shower was good and the room was clean. It would have been useful to have more than 2 clothes hangers in the wardrobe and a kettle lid that fitted properly. However, we didn’t mention this at the time and had we, it might have been rectified.
The cooked breakfast was very good.
The hotel is in a good position to walk into the centre but we could hear constant traffic from our room from the busy road.

I had a room with a very good breakfast but friends were in a bungalow and apartment both of which looked great so there’s a choice self catering.

Lovely garden and seating at the back.

The hotel was dated but they have updated the bathrooms. The room was layer out badly having to squeeze past the bed and banging my head on the tv twice. The reception staff were functional but not really friendly a bland apology that the WiFi was not working which with a lot of work to do was not helpful on top of the bad reception. I hardly slept as the bed and pillows were rock hard but I did enjoy the breakfast in the morning and there was ample free parking for the guests. Short walk to shops and town about 20 minutes.

Stayed in a 2 bed cottage. Plenty of room, lounge diner Kitchen, Double bedded room and twin bedded room. Bathroom with shower over bath. There were a couple of marks on the carpet, possibly chewing gum, and a couple of the kitchen cupboards needed hinges sorting out.
Overall a good stay, makes a much better base than just a hotel room with an en-suite.

The Ebury Hotel was by far our favorite accommodation in the well over a month my two children and I have been traveling through Europe and the UK. It has so much Victorian character and they’ve been sure to keep that alive. The place was quiet, the breakfast was lovely and the staff were very helpful. Blake was particularly wonderful; kind, helpful, engaging and absolutely welcoming. He made our stay that much more like home. Thank you for the wonderful stay, Ebury!

A wonderful retreat.

We stayed in one of the luxury apartments on New Year’s Day. The apartment has a private entrance and is frankly huge. It has everything you need, tastefully decorated and basically a home away from home. We were a little blown away ( in a very good way ) as to what you get for your money. Reception were informative and friendly. If you book it, you won’t be disappointed. Will definitely stay again as soon as we can.

Not poor not amazing just OK.

It was OK, not outstanding and not poor. Basic room, I booked a single, won't do that again, but you live and learn, bed was a single, like being a kid again, had to sleep narrow and was uncomfortable. Bathroom OK, was clean.
Staff not overly friendly, said hello in the morning and got your food, that's about it. Have stayed plenty of other smaller hotels and usually get a better personal experience, where staff seem to be a bit more interested in the people that are staying.
Good breakfast.
Free parking was good, although can get busy on site.
Its on the main new Dover Road which also gets busy with traffic in the morning, queues up the road so can be tricky getting out, as everyone drives like a nutter.

A gem of a hotel with professional team.

We enjoyed a stay at the Ebury Hotel in October. The staff were friendly and professional. They wore Covid masks at all times [and we saw no one removing or wearing under their chins!] and there was hand sanitizer available all around the public areas.

Our twin bedded room was spacious with lots of storage space. The bed was very comfortable. The room had been cleaned to a high standard.

Breakfast was pre order with a choice of time slot to avoid crowding in dining room. The breakfast was well cooked and well presented. Perfect poached eggs! The staff were attentive and asked if there was anything else we needed. It was a nice change to sit down to a tasty breakfast. There was also the option of a continental breakfast delivered to your bedroom.

There is a Tesco and Waitrose five minutes walk away. City centre shops, restaurants and Cathedral around 15 minute flat walk.

Lots of free parking at the hotel was an added bonus.
