The Trelawney hotel was 10 mins from train station and 10 mins to the sea front , plenty of shops near by . Hotel was very homely , I like the fact we could sit in the front room to have a drink /chat in the evening , even had a honesty bar, rooms are well equipped with everything you need , very clean and comfortable , breakfast was cooked to order . Lovey stay , I will be back 😊

A weekend break booked at last minute in a quiet room at the rear of the property. Clean accommodation, comfortable bed, perfect for what we needed, only one thing to mention was the smell of smoking in communal areas which was a bit off putting

3 night stay. Lovely hotel in a perfect location, just a short walk to the sea front. The Hotel was spotlessly clean with all amenities catered for. The cooked breakfast was also very good and freshly prepared. Other options were also available. Would 100% recommend Trelawney and would happily return.

Very nice guest house at reasonable prices

Liz and Paul were very friendly and took all our requests and answered them quickly. Breakfast was out of this world. Room was very clean and plenty of sockets for all your things that needed charging, it was also very spacious. Liz was always there to answer any questions and Paul was always around but not seen very much as he was probably chained to the range dealing with all the breakfasts, but very pleasant when you did see him :-). We will definitely be returning. Many thanks for pleasant stay Liz and Paul.

The owners are absolutely lovely and incredibly inviting, always ready with helpful advice about the area. There is daily housekeeping which was good. The rooms were cosy and comfortable. The location is fantastic, with free parking available on nearby roads and just a short walk to into town.

Well from start to finish this week has been amazing
You may not be able to park out side but got parked no problem close by
On appearance it’s the best in the street well maintained
Very clean definitely cannot fault
Fan, small fridge , tea , coffee water and biscuits
Daily room clean
Breakfast is 5 star nothing too much trouble
Location is close to all amenities
WiFi no issues
Nothing too much trouble for this very hard working couple who definitely work as a team
We never go to the same place twice as love travelling however we will be visiting again
Price is reasonable

I chose this hotel specifically because it claimed to have a private (though limited) car park, but on arrival discovered the tiny parking space at the back of the property is used by the owners alone. I was shown a map of the area and told to go and find off-street parking. It took me half an hour to find a space, which ended up being very far from the hotel on a street where two cars close by had they tyres slashed, so I worried for the duration of my stay. I also had to change my plans and did not use the car during my stay as I was too worried I would not find another parking space. The room and bathroom were very clean, but very small for two people and with a lot of traffic noise at night. Breakfast was mediocre. The distance to the seafront was the main highlight.

Short walk to the water. Beautiful property. Very clean. Tasty full English breakfast. Limited parking on site but there is a lot of other options including unrestricted street parking close by. Host is very knowledgeable of the area and provided excellent recommendations. Will definitely return.

Ideal location, clean and friendly

We chose TrelauneyHotel due to the excellent reviews and proximity to the town and railstation and we were not disappointed.
Liz and Paul were very welcoming and have us recommendations on places to visit and eat which was much appreciated.
The hotel is beautifully clean, we felt comfotrable and safe in the surroundings with the security fob entry system and all the hand cleansing stations including at the breakfast bar.
We will definitely return.

Trelawney Hotel has just undergone a refurbishment by the looks of it and it was really lovely. Although we couldn't use all the Hotel because of Covid19, the bedroom was really spacious and well equipped. Our hosts were really lovely and informative about the area. A really lovely place and we would definately stay there again.

We had a really good stay at the Trelawney Hotel. The owners were really friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The hotel is very nicely decorated and spotless.

Our room was fantastic, again spotless with all the essentials you would expect and more than ample storage space. The television is Freeview but there is catch up tv installed which worked really well. The WiFi was very reliable too.

Unfortunately the dining room and lounge were closed due to COVID restrictions but breakfast was delivered to our room each morning. The quality was fantastic, the preordering system was really easy and was delivered on time each day.

Overall an excellent stay and would definitely recommend...and we will be staying again!

Sort out the parking.

Our stay was very good, the downside to the whole weekend was having to park our car on the road approximately 300yds away from our accommodation and on one day we were unable to move the car as someone had decided to park so close we couldn't move it or even get to the boot, so inconsiderate of people !! Needless to say we had to stay close to the hotel for the whole day we couldn't visit any where.

New owners Liz and Paul are making a great job of it so far. Welcoming, clean, great location. We had partly chosen the hotel due to there being parking onsite, however there was not sufficient space for us. We did however find a parking spot just up the side road, with no limits to timing or any need to pay so this wasn't an issue. The outside bench was a sun trap until about 1pm. I don't think the 2 star rating gives this property the credit it deserves.
