Me and Daughter stayed for 1 night on Tuesday 6th Jan, this was our last hotel to stay at in Torquay as we have stayed at all of them that had either a spa or pool, and wow Hotel, Room, and Staff was absolutely fantastic and the cleanliness of the whole place was one of the best I have ever seen, well done to your cleaners, we really do hope they are top money because they so deserve it.
The SPA???? well to be honest it will depend on what you call a spa? The pool was small and cold, I was told it was a permanent 38degrees but that just doesn't seem correct to me and I was told I was the first person in 2 years to complain about this???,As said we have stayed in a lot of spa? Pool hotels and even some of the very basic hotel the pool was warmer, maybe it was just me and daughter thought is was cold but would be interested to see what others thought.
Also to get to the treatment rooms who have to walk pass the pool and I actually saw a few people walking with their outside shoes on which is totally not acceptable, Why would you let anyone walk around the pool side and sit there with your shoes it beggars belief. when I asked the lady who was giving the treatments where did I top the bucket up for water for the sauna I was told the sink in the toilet? Nope you can not fill the bucket in any sink but you can fill it in the shower cubical.
Anyway 10-10 for the hotel and service but it is a hotel that offers and indoor pool with treatments not a spa.

The Staff were very friendly, the bed was comfortable, room very clean and breakfast was delicious. Also a nice touch to have a bottle of water and complimentary chocolate deserts in the fridge! Unfortunately, I was unable to get any sleep due to the noise. I could hear everything from the next room and also there was a lot of noise from the road. I did speak to reception about this and the lady apologised.

I'm so pleased we booked Belgrave Sands Hotel for our short stay in Torquay. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The cleanliness and the upkeep of this hotel was very good. Breakfast was plentiful and we had a great choice from the menu and on the breakfast table. The hotel is in a great location for Torquay main sea front and harbour.

Room was incredibly clean and spacious. The food was lovely and I could not fault this. However, the customer service needs focus. I’m not sure if it was because I was travelling with a child, but staff were not attentive, and I found the service very slow. The lady serving us in the lounge was polite and friendly, everyone else lacked the ability to smile and provide basic information on the facilities/how breakfast is run. I would recommend this hotel but I do believe the customer service could be improved.

Overall had a good stay at Belgrave Sands, check in was smooth. The room was nice and cosy and spotlessly clean, however during the night was really hot and had to use their fan. The weather was not hot at all so I dread to think what it would be like in the summer without air-con. The room was cleaned everyday which was great. The breakfast was very good however i found the service really slow, on our final day i think we were forgotten about because we had to ask about it. One of the servers i did not get her name but she told us she was originally from East London, she was very nice and made sure we werw ok and had everything that we needed. We liked the added bonus of room service for an extra £5. It appears this hotel caters for OAPs but this didnt bother us too much because it meant the hotel was relatively quiet. I would recommend this hotel because overall it was a good stay.

Lovely Stay.

Really enjoyed our stay only a couple of nights wish we had longer. Easy Free parking. When we arrived greeted nicely with a complementary drink and they took our bags to the room. Breakfast was loverly. Also had a swim sauna and go in the steam room which is good for my breathing. I also lost something and thought I'd try reception and wow they had it. Also silly things like just how friendly and smart they all were.

I would have given 5 star all the way, however, a water foundation is needed in the spa area. You become dehydrated when using the stream room, and the it just need to be cleaned daily. Aside from that excellent hotel, amazing food, staff and location.

My only comment would be the lack of air conditioning in the rooms.
In the unusual heat we have been having.
The heat hit you when entering the room as opposed to the other way round.
Apart from that I would put the Belgrave Sands Hotel & Spa in the best top 3 Hotels I've stayed at in this country.
I would rate it's location food and standard of accommodation and facilities as excellent.

Great little breakfast to set you up for the day, plenty of choice along with a cooked breakfast, various pastries, yoghurts etc.
Comfy robes and slippers, huge bed.
Staff are very helpful even if they cant always help, i.e, no ear plugs available at reception, as our room was opposite the funfair and theres no air con the window had to be open so they would have been helpful.
Special shout out to Chloe for arranging cakes for my partner after i mentioned in passing it was her birthday.
Pool, sauna etc not great but are not advertised as luxury so dont go in with high expectations and you'll be fine. Gym was ok.
Lots of older clientele due do the hotels excellent access, which was no issue for us.
Location was good for getting to Totnes and Cockington and around a 15 minute walk to Torquay centre so pretty good location by the sea front.
All in all, for the price point, would recommend as a base to fuel up on brekkie, travel from, then come back to a friendly reception and a comfortable, if slightly warm, room.

Lovely hotel The Location was perfect! The room was very clean although very stuffy at night but there was a fan in the room and the window can be opened and was still very quiet.
Loved the pool & spa facilities.

Breakfast there was plenty of choice.

Will definitely stay here again if we visit the area.

If I was being very picky the only complaint we had was the evening meal portions were very small for the price that we paid.

Would definitely recommend this hotel for staying.

Beautiful hotel well situated. Spacious clean room and bathroom with amenities. Lovely little added touches like fresh milk,water and even a welcome treat in the mini fridge, slippers and robes. Breakfast has plenty of choice with fresh fruit and pastries and a choice of freshly cooked breakfast’s.
The only thing which let the hotel down was the room was very stuffy as there is no air conditioning even though they try by supplying a fan in the room. Also it’s on a very busy road which gets quite loud at night especially when you have to leave the windows open to allow the air to circulate.
Overall it was a fantastic weekend.

Very much pleasantly surpised by this place. Idyllically situated just down from the stunningarea of the bay and marina which led to a memorable walk when I went to get food from the cornucopia of options available. There was ample parking close to the entrance. All the staff from reception to the breakfast area were very friendly and accommodating. My room was a deluxe single but still came with a double bed which was very comfortable and resulted in a great night's sleep which I normally find hard away from home. The room itself was compact but that in no way detracted from the fact it was high functioning with a fridge, a table with 2 chairs and a desk with a chair. The bathroom was fantastic with a large shower cubicle although the water pressure could have been higher. The decor was very clean and high spec. Breakfast in the morning was cooked and brought to me very promptly with all ingredients cooked perfectly. As a bonus, I also tried the gym. I was the only one there so only having one treadmill and a small selction of weights did not hamper a decent little workout. Overall, I was very happy with my stay here and would like to stay there again next time I am in the area.

Fantastic from start to finish. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Room was wonderful, clean, spacious with all you could need. Lounge area, restaurant, spa area etc was all spotless and modern. Plenty of parking. Food was excellent, fantastic breakfast with great selection, however, the evening meal was very pricey for myself and the menu was limited, it was confusing as to what price the meals were as some had supplements on top and if you were not there on a package deal break the menu cost more. I had to query a cost for a meal we had at the end of our stay as we had been overcharged or misinformed of the cost of the meal, we assumed it would cost what we read in the menu. The food was however excellent and understandably the price was higher than a normal menu as it was of a very high professional standard, It felt like we were eating somewhere very high end like The Shard. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will be back in the future. Also to add I had an incredible spa treatment with the lovely Stella.

Possibly staff shortage but our first morning was spoilt by being ignored for half an hour when we had to ask for even a cup of tea-we actually thought we must be invisible. Lovely hotel, few minor issues.

Room size was amazing, bathroom was huge, quilt was heavy and ventilation poor so room was hot and sleep restless, did have a fan which we used but didn't make much difference.
Breakfast was poor, served until 10 but by 9 when pastries, yogurts,fruit and juices had all been used, nothing was replenished, staff asked for tea and coffee order, but breakfast order not taken until 10 mins later so waited over 20 mins for the breakfast on last day. Had to ask for butter, sauces, small spoons etc, staff really busy and worked hard but lack of organisation at times.
Spa was very mediocre, tiny pool, tiny sauna and steam room pipe sits under one of the 4 seats thats get so hot it almost scalds the skin. Location to beach perfect, hotel has beautiful decor and ample parking, staff all polite and lovely place to stay, just a few niggles.

We stayed at The Belvedere Sands 1st to 7th of July it was fantastic so clean everywhere staff were so helpful and polite the facilities were amazing would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone well done Belvedere Sands

Wonderful hotel, loved the pool sauna and steam room Friendly and efficient staff terrific breakfast
Short walk to water, easy parking, good location overall.
