Very clean indeed. Full kitchen amenities if you want to cook and eat there with new cookware and tableware. Very quiet, I would return to this property. Close to Lake Union.

We arrived quite late, and we had to be exceptionally quiet walking down the hallway to our room. There is no carpeting, so are footsteps echoed noisily all the way down the hallway, and we could hear other people through the doors.
We were told we would have a private bathroom, but when we came back from warming up some food to eat in the kitchen, and went to unlock the bathroom door, a man's voice answered from the other side. He had apparently not been told which bathroom to use, and he used ours.
The bedroom was very barebones. Queen bed shoved up against the wall, so that the door could open. No nightstands. No TV. And we were given one towel and one bath mat to use for drying off.
Sleeping with difficult because of the noise in the hallway, and the door does not close adequately, so light from the hallway showing through the edges of the door all night.
The price for such a monastic and barebones facility was way too high. We will not return it again, and we want other people to know what they're getting into when they reserve a place here.

I was assigned the same parking spot as another guest. This might have been a typo, and I sorted it out with the other guest because he was leaving earlier than I was. The owner responded after a few hours giving me a different parking spot, but the matter was resolved by then. Recommended!

If you are a couple with a car on a road trip, this is the place for you! There’s kitchen facilities and parking. Please don’t cook shellfish and leave the remains in the shared kitchen out to stink, though! If you are into walking and looking at culture in a place you are visiting, not for you. If you are looking to meet interesting people or have actual staff interaction also no. It’s fairly quiet - depending on other guests, shared bathroom so you have to bring your own hand towel to dry your hands. There’s not enough places to charge in the room or hooks or a bedside light. Parking is great. Public transport not convenient for this location- Seattle is great, but this isn’t Seattle (location or culture).

Hotel quality beds ,in safe east side of Haller lake neighborhood(not west side near the Aurora ave chaos(Hwy99).. has a full kitchen with all the appliances/cookware needed if travelers want tp prepare own meals. Have stayed mid week and have either been alone or had I or 2 of the other rooms occupied. This place is my go to choice when I need a night in Seattle and don't want to pay big $ but not sacrificing quality. Check in -front door entry codes + the code for room are quickly sent prior to self check in. Plenty of free parking + I designated spot given.Fast wifi.

Check in and out was easy. A little bit difficult to find the back parking in the dark the first time, but once found it was easy and convenient. You have to be comfortable with other people. It is somewhat communal and seems like mostly solo travelers. The halls and rooms are not perfectly sound proof, so just be ok with people moving around and hearing it. Having a full kitchen is amazing and saved me so much money on eating.

Clean is not the title that I would give this place. It was comfortable. Check in and out was very smooth and free parking was great! I did notice some stains on the bedding and a bad ant problem in the kitchen. I was staying here because I was sleeping at the UW hospital while my dad was sick. I really needed a good night rest and a homemade meal. I bought a few items to make dinner but ALL of the plates utensils and pans were greasy, which I rewashed. I was looking for a drinking cup and could not find a single one, I used a old soda can for water. Besides the ants in the kitchen, dirty dishes and curly hairs or beard clippings here and there in the bathroom, the place was clean-ish. Maybe I'm splitting hairs but if the first word for the room is CLEAN, my expectation was as such.

Our stay was comfortable overall. However, there was a dirty towel left on the bathroom floor, and the ventilation wasn’t great—I had to prop the door open after my shower because it got so hot. The bed was comfortable, but there’s no air conditioning in the bedroom, so the standing fan was a big help.

We had the king with the private bathroom - The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. Having a designated parking spot was wonderful to have and it was a very quiet area to stay. We did not get to take full advantage of the kitchen aside from the microwave but upon looking around they truly had everything you needed to cook! I have family with food restrictions and this would be the first place I would ever recommend.

Spend a week at this location close to Northwest hospital. The power went out on our second night. The place had no backup lights. No exit markings.
You will need to bring your own portable heater because the bathrooms like the rest of the building are not heated damn cold.
It is clean BUT if you share a bathroom with a guy down the hall expect pee on the floor etc.

The only logical concern for this setup would be inconsiderate other guests that you have being loud or obnoxious at night, we are very lucky we did not have that. The king room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Owner was quickly responsive over text with any questions. Was nervous at first being our first time in Seattle but everything was great. This rooming house is in a convenient location and it served my needs. The floors in my room were dirty with someone else's hair but the common areas were very clean. My biggest issue was that it didn't feel very secure. The front door was left unlocked and the inside doors are just hollow core with cheap little locks on them. The doors were smaller than the frames so I had to drape towels over the top of the door and then close the door to keep the light out or anyone peeking in. The sliding glass door had no lock in the handle. As a single female traveler, it was a little unnerving. It wasn't but a bad place to stay but a few small upgrades would make a world of difference.

Very basic so I ended up feeling it was over priced. Lockbox outside room for checkin did not work. Another guest finally assisted me. No airconditioning( no wash clothes, fan’s cord too short to reach one available outlet. Very small room, no reading light at bedside. Won’t book here again.

Hot but not like you want.
I've stayed before and nothing has changed. I was concerned about how the place would be in the summer with no air conditioning anywhere in the house. I was disappointed to find only a room fan with inexplicable Fahrenheit degrees down to 60°. No compartment for freon refrigerant, so I messaged the manager about freestanding swamp coolers from Amazon. No response. I had the same problem with my suggestions last time. The management doesn't seem to know about Conde Naste Travel magazines and websites. We send out unidentified customers to see what the establishment is. Restaurants never know when a reviewer is in the house. Same with lodgings. I wouldn't recommend this place during warm weather. We'll see what happens next.

I think that the listing could do a better job of explaining what exactly this place is. It's a house where individual bedrooms have locks and lockboxes and are rented out individually. Bathrooms and the kitchen are shared. There really aren't many places to hang out in the common areas and the whole experience was comfortable but uncanny. I did end up with mostly courteous neighbors for most of my stay, though on one night a couple was being loud in a neighboring room, which revealed how thin the walls are. I don't hold that against the owner of course or the couple because it's none of my business.

Pros: The room and the common area were clean. Sharing the refrigerator was not a problem. Using the access codes for building entry and room entry were easy, with no problems. The bathroom was modern, tiled, and had drawers for toiletry storage.
Cons: The room was VERY small and was difficult to have suitcase (carry-on size) space and ease of movement for two people in the room. The king-sized bed was against the wall, so it was only possible to get into bed from one side. There was no air conditioning. There was no way to get cross-ventilation in the room. There were no wash cloths.

In residential neighborhood. Clean, quiet, large kitchen and 2 large eating tables. Really no furniture or ambience in common area for relaxing, reading. Only an overhead light. No TV. Eight rooms, some with private bathroom. Everything is obviously closed up for security, so rooms were very hot. No AC in house, but freestanding fan in room. Small desk/light, bed in room; that's it. Nice bathroom. Parking in alley for some of the rooms, otherwise, out front. Would I stay here again? Maybe in cooler weather and if I just needed a place to sleep.

The house has 8 rooms that are rented with thin walls and hard wood floors so it’s difficult to sleep because you can hear everything from people walking, talking, opening and shutting doors and use of restroom facilities.
The room was not completely clean. There was quite a bit of hair on the floor in the bedroom and drug paraphernalia in the cabinet of the desk.
When booking it states taxes and fees included but them are charged a $15 cleaning fee.

Extremely clean, comfortable bed. Traveled alone as an older women and felt very safe in room and location. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
