Check in and out was easy. A little bit difficult to find the back parking in the dark the first time, but once found it was easy and convenient. You have to be comfortable with other people. It is somewhat communal and seems like mostly solo travelers. The halls and rooms are not perfectly sound proof, so just be ok with people moving around and hearing it. Having a full kitchen is amazing and saved me so much money on eating.

Clean is not the title that I would give this place. It was comfortable. Check in and out was very smooth and free parking was great! I did notice some stains on the bedding and a bad ant problem in the kitchen. I was staying here because I was sleeping at the UW hospital while my dad was sick. I really needed a good night rest and a homemade meal. I bought a few items to make dinner but ALL of the plates utensils and pans were greasy, which I rewashed. I was looking for a drinking cup and could not find a single one, I used a old soda can for water. Besides the ants in the kitchen, dirty dishes and curly hairs or beard clippings here and there in the bathroom, the place was clean-ish. Maybe I'm splitting hairs but if the first word for the room is CLEAN, my expectation was as such.

Our stay was comfortable overall. However, there was a dirty towel left on the bathroom floor, and the ventilation wasn’t great—I had to prop the door open after my shower because it got so hot. The bed was comfortable, but there’s no air conditioning in the bedroom, so the standing fan was a big help.

We did not get to take full advantage of the kitchen aside from the microwave but upon looking around they truly had everything you needed to cook! I have family with food restrictions and this would be the first place I would ever recommend.

Spend a week at this location close to Northwest hospital. The power went out on our second night. The place had no backup lights. No exit markings.
You will need to bring your own portable heater because the bathrooms like the rest of the building are not heated damn cold.
It is clean BUT if you share a bathroom with a guy down the hall expect pee on the floor etc.

The only logical concern for this setup would be inconsiderate other guests that you have being loud or obnoxious at night, we are very lucky we did not have that. The king room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Owner was quickly responsive over text with any questions. Was nervous at first being our first time in Seattle but everything was great. This rooming house is in a convenient location and it served my needs. The floors in my room were dirty with someone else's hair but the common areas were very clean. My biggest issue was that it didn't feel very secure. The front door was left unlocked and the inside doors are just hollow core with cheap little locks on them. The doors were smaller than the frames so I had to drape towels over the top of the door and then close the door to keep the light out or anyone peeking in. The sliding glass door had no lock in the handle. As a single female traveler, it was a little unnerving. It wasn't but a bad place to stay but a few small upgrades would make a world of difference.

I've stayed before and nothing has changed. I was concerned about how the place would be in the summer with no air conditioning anywhere in the house. I was disappointed to find only a room fan with inexplicable Fahrenheit degrees down to 60°. No compartment for freon refrigerant, so I messaged the manager about freestanding swamp coolers from Amazon. No response. I had the same problem with my suggestions last time. The management doesn't seem to know about Conde Naste Travel magazines and websites. We send out unidentified customers to see what the establishment is. Restaurants never know when a reviewer is in the house. Same with lodgings. I wouldn't recommend this place during warm weather. We'll see what happens next.

I think that the listing could do a better job of explaining what exactly this place is. It's a house where individual bedrooms have locks and lockboxes and are rented out individually. Bathrooms and the kitchen are shared. There really aren't many places to hang out in the common areas and the whole experience was comfortable but uncanny. I did end up with mostly courteous neighbors for most of my stay, though on one night a couple was being loud in a neighboring room, which revealed how thin the walls are. I don't hold that against the owner of course or the couple because it's none of my business.

Pros: The room and the common area were clean. Sharing the refrigerator was not a problem. Using the access codes for building entry and room entry were easy, with no problems. The bathroom was modern, tiled, and had drawers for toiletry storage.
Cons: The room was VERY small and was difficult to have suitcase (carry-on size) space and ease of movement for two people in the room. The king-sized bed was against the wall, so it was only possible to get into bed from one side. There was no air conditioning. There was no way to get cross-ventilation in the room. In residential neighborhood. Clean, quiet, large kitchen and 2 large eating tables. Really no furniture or ambience in common area for relaxing, reading. Only an overhead light. No TV. Eight rooms, some with private bathroom. Everything is obviously closed up for security, so rooms were very hot. No AC in house, but freestanding fan in room. Small desk/light, bed in room; that's it. Nice bathroom. Parking in alley for some of the rooms, otherwise, out front. Would I stay here again? Maybe in cooler weather and if I just needed a place to sleep.

The house has 8 rooms that are rented with thin walls and hard wood floors so it’s difficult to sleep because you can hear everything from people walking, talking, opening and shutting doors and use of restroom facilities.
The room was not completely clean. There was quite a bit of hair on the floor in the bedroom and drug paraphernalia in the cabinet of the desk.

For example, upon booking my stay, I received instructions that a $100 refundable cash deposit plus a $15 nonrefundable cleaning fee will be required upon check-in so I went through the trouble of making sure I had the exact amount of cash on me prior to the trip. They keep this place so clean. The rooms are perfect for what you pay and the kitchen is always nice. Two seating areas to eat. The beds were comfortable and big fans in the rooms, since they don’t have A/C. All in all, very comfortable and I hated leaving, couldn’t rebook because they are always booked up. Pretty cozy little room, property kind of set up like a mini hostel. Comfty bed. Probably could use more care and preperation for restroom sharing situation (maybe clothes hooks, shower soap dish or shelf, shower spash guard or splash mat shower mat, and extra TP and cleaners). Otherwise house in good clean and tidy condition. Freeway nearby and inbound air traffic overhead but considering its a major metropolitan area it was a relatively quiet neighborhood.
