It was a very walkable area with many close restaurants nearby. The room was clean but had a ridiculously expensive minibar in the room so bring snacks and drinks so you will not be tempted. I asked for a late check out due to my cruise time and was granted only one hour. I do not suggest this property for pre-cruise accommodations.
Elizabeth
Walking distance to great restaurants and the parking was awesome
Rosa
I must say that for it being my first time visiting Seattle, I was very impressed and glad I made a wonderful choice for booking and staying at the Ballard Hotel. This place has all. You need and selection of close by restaurants, shopping stores, bars, desserts shops. Overall the Ballard was impressive, exquisite 👌 beautiful, clean, gym, spa, bar restaurant. Loved, loved! I will definitely come.back and highly recommended.
Daniel
Loved staying here - beds were comfy and the rooms were well appointed. Loved that they had Molton Brown in the bathrooms

Great front desk people and clean, well-maintained rooms. But don't get carried away by the high aggregate ratings. It's just a solid three-star hotel. The neighborhood is great for walking, drinking and eating.
Toni
This was a nice and convenient location. Room exceeded our expectations. I’d definitely stay here again.
Margo
Nice room, great location. Staff was friendly.
Daniel
Our stay at Hotel Ballard was great. Location is great if you want to spend time in Ballard near great food and shops. We stayed in one of the 5th floor roof top room and the views were great. Housekeeping and staff were also awesome.
Gregory

Location is excellent. Right in the middle of the Sunday Market, and within easy walking distance of many fine restaurants. The rooms are comfortable, and the Nespresso machine a welcome amenity.

Perfect location, clean and very friendly staff. If you drive a big vehicle, they have outdoor parking available in reserved lots about a block away.
KAMAL
Mattresses need to be replaced. They have a depression from over usage.
Gregory
Great hotel. Terrific location. Convenient to everything, restaurants, shops and the Farmers Market. The best I’d access to the Olympic Athletic Club, first class facility.
Charise
Stayed for 1 night. Really nice staff, clean room
Harmoni
Staff was really friendly building is beautiful and absolutely love my rooms
Christine
Large, clean suite and ideal location. Right in the middle of the Ballard Sunday Farmers Market. Love.
Scott
Stayed for one night love the little downtown spot hotel and staff were great. Everything was clean. Has lots of character. Will definitely stay there again.
Tyler
Great location in a cool little neighborhood. Our room was ready early, staff was very helpful and the room was comfortable.
David
The property is lovely and well positioned to have lots of fun.The desk staff were often curt… did not feel warm. This was particularly the two male employees—- the girls were very helpful.
Debra
Everything was perfect!
Brittnay
Loved the balcony view . Room was beautiful and clean . Most comfortable bed and pillows
Kate

Chloe

Jane
Everything was perfect, amazing, all the things! Highly recommend.
Ariana
Clean, gorgeous, great location, and very friendly staff! We're moving to Ballard soon and this place is so cute, it had me thinking "staycation?". Recommending to everyone I know for when they come to visit!
Holly
Great location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable. Will stay again!
Gary
Room was nice, clean and we had a nice stay. Only negatives were the 2nd floor smelled like weed both days and the shower water fluctuated from hot to warm when taking showers. Staff was nice and helpful. Would try this hotel again, great location in downtown Ballard - nice shops/restaurants in walking distance.
Audrey
Room was good, clean. Staff great.
Kaaren
Wow!! So impressed with the high standards of Hotel Ballard. Rooms were large, clean, and had amenities such as a larger fridge. The area surrounding the hotel was super quaint. Restaurants, bars, and local shops were all walkable. Highly recommended this property
Kathleen
Very pleased with our stay at the Hotel Ballard. Rooms were clean and comfortable and a juliet balcony a plus on a sunny fall day. Bonus to be able to overlook the farmers market and stroll up the street. Convenient parking and easy to get to main roads when needed. Would definitely stay again!
Ryan
Nice staff, clean room
Brittany
Disappointing stay. Lack of hot water, light bulbs burned out, charge for parking (not mentioned at check in), dirt along the baseboards
Phoned to ask about extra charges-
25 minutes on hold. Unfriendly response when I mentioned this wait time. This hotel charges high end rates (almost $400 a night) - I would encourage it to try harder. I would mention this is my actual first bad review to any hotel. So to illicit this response - I would say it wasn’t a good one.

Seems like this room needs some service fixing some things. The handle in the fridge broke, the showerhead hose is pinched and the showerhead won’t stay up.

Would stay here again
Beautiful hotel and great location. Approximately 3 miles to the port, in walking distance of restaurants and shops. Really enjoyed our stay.
Brittany
Beautiful, clean hotel. The staff was very friendly and the rooftop area is beautiful.

Hotel is nice and in a great area. The gym is beyond legit
Megan
The hotel has a rigid cancellation policy, and their internal policy is not aligned with what is provided via Expedia. The hotel’s policy is 72 hour cancellation notice by 4pm, where Expedia says by 6pm. I inquired with the hotel on this discrepancy and provided documentation but NO ONE got back to me. The staff i did speak to on the phone were very rude and patronizing, did not offer to help or investigate policy discrepancy.
Jody
Love the rooms , decor and location. 2nd time we have reserved a rooftop room. On both occassions we were not told there was a wedding happening and so we were not able to enjoy the rooftop views. For the price of the rooms, I feel we have been made aware of this.
Front desk staff seemed lazy- no TP in main floor bathroom . But hotel is in an excellent location hotel is unique and beautiful.

Over-priced, poor management, never again
There were many problems at this hotel, and it is over-priced compared with hotels closer to downtown. Ballard is a fun area, but I would not stay at this hotel. No coffee shop or restaurant at the property. If you are up early, no luck. You have to wait until breakfast places in the neighborhood open around 7:30. "The room with patio" is facing an event space on the patio -- people can look into your windows and the glass door. I had to keep the curtains closed while it's light outside because strangers were walking by outside. I had reservation issues with the hotel. They charged me directly to my credit card without my authorization. I asked for refund. I gave my email so that "they will get back to me." They never did in spite of repeated request from me. I had to go through the dispute process with the credit card company.
Victor
Beautiful place to stay. Nice area, lots of bars of restaurants
Alesia
This Hotel Ballard, is right where I want to be.

A beautiful European gem in prime location!
Beautiful European vibes in the heart of Ballard! Feels luxurious & special. Several delicious eateries steps away, including Stoneburner, Sabine, San Fermo, Situ Tacos, & more. Can’t beat the walkable location. Very quiet in room, despite the street facing balcony (sooo Parisian!). We were on 4th floor, so we could hear music event in 5th floor Pavilion, but it was over by 10pm, & we didn’t mind the fun atmosphere of live music. Bed & linens are incredibly comfortable. Love the robes. Bathroom is high quality with separate toilet room, which is always appreciated! Unfortunately, no room service; would be so cool if they partnered with Stoneburner for that! Would love if the fresh coffee was available all day in the lobby. Definitely a beautiful spot for anyone!!
Laura
Had a fantastic stay at Hotel Ballard !! The staff was amazing and couldn’t be nicer !!! Great neighborhood, can’t say enough about this hotel !
Heather
We adore the property, the location and staff. We would however love a later checkout option, even if we had to pay for it. We totally understand, though that Ballard is a boutique, small hotel, and it may not make sense. But still it’s on our wish list.
Brian
Great location. Farmers market sets up just in front
Kevin
Fantastic boutique hotel in a super cool location on Ballard’s best street. I love the access to the Olympic Health Club, and the well-appointed rooms at the top floors with private patios.
Michael
The perfect weekend, brunch retreat
Sylvia
Very nice room and hotel. The only issue was noise from Ballard avenue - pretty loud at night until around 11:45pm.
BOBBIE
The hotel esthetics i.e. furniture, wallpsper, art, flooring made the stay inviting andnot pretentitious. Front desk staff professional but personable. I'll return
Kelsey
Wonderful as usual!
Rickey
The Ballard is a great restored hotel in the middle of Ballard shopping and dining. The room was very clean and comfortable. We were in a room with access on the roof. There is an event area just outside and can be noisy if an event is going on. Otherwise very quiet and comfortable. My only complaint would be parking. The parking garage is very small and a tight space. If you meet someone on the way in or out, you will probably have to back up to make room. There is street parking but can be hard to find something in the evenings when busy.
Alex
This place was amazing and the staff was incredibly friendly during our honeymoon stay!
Andrew
Great spot if you want to explore Ballard.
Jahnavi
Great stay
Sean
This place is fantastic. While it’s the only real hotel in the area, it’s a class above most. Wish it was cheaper, but with it and will always try to stay here when in Seattle.
Einar
It says they have pools, but they don’t. The gym next doors has an ancient pool that has 4 tiny swimming lanes. As a hotel guest you can ”book” a lane in the pool. We stayed there for 3 days, and the only available time was 6am for 3min. The kids was very unhappy. They neither have breakfast. The staff said they often get complains about that they lie about having a pool. I was promised a refund by the person at the desk but it never came through. There are much better hotels around, I would never recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.
Adam
Great staff and wonderful room
Ginny
Convenient
Cassandra
Spacious, eloquent rooms in a great neighborhood full of walkable shops and restaurants. A vast gym onsite is available to guests. The brewery district is nearby, as well as the Nordic Museum, and be sure to take a walk to the docks. CJA
Lynn
Style staff was very nice, the rooms were clean with the softest towels you’ve ever used. Bed is very comfortable, pillows not so much.
Great location for walking around Ballard and tasting the yummy food, just don’t expect much to be open on Monday’s. The parking garage ceiling is very very low, be aware! The suv we had barely fit.

Great Property miserable staff
Service was very average, a property that this could be one of the best in the city if the staff don’t have such a miserable attitude
Melissa
Lovely rooms. Right across the street from our concert at Tractor Tavern. Perfect spot. Amazing Sunday market right outside the front door.
Milan
Charming hotel with very nice and spacious rooms in a very walkable location. Sunday farmers market right outside. A very pleasant stay.

Having a Blast in Ballard
It is in a fantastic location in the Ballard District. We ate a delicious dinner at the Stoneburner Restaurant attached to the hotel and walked out the front door to a festive Farmer's Market Sunday morning. The room was clean and quiet and the staff was very helpful.
Heidi
Great location friendly staff
Dana
Great neighborhood and area for shopping and dining
Jennifer
This hotel is beautiful, the area around the hotel is lively and has many bars and in restaurants. The bed could’ve been a bit more comfortable and they only have room service for like four hours a day so I thought that was kind of different.
Savanhmaly
Great stay. Safe, clean and plenty to see and do in the area.
Karen
Lovely large hotel room loved the gym and hot tub access
Luis
Great location, room was very comfy and spacious. Definitely staying in again.
Kody
The room was clean and had nice decor. There was a small view of the water. The hotel is in the middle of downtown Ballard and within walking distance to everything.
Road construction makes parking confusing. This is beyond the control of the hotel though.

This is our go-to spot in Seattle and we stay here at least once a year. Super walkable with great shops and restaurants and Sunday morning farmers market all right outside.

Great propert
Wonderful property. We stayed in a King room; the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet and clean. Parking was a bit of a pain to find, especially with nearby road construction. I think some clearer signage on where the parking lot can be provided but that is about my only criticism.
Erik
I will always come back to Hotel Ballard!

Mostly great. Location good. I’d stay again.
Paula
I did not know there was not a place on the property for breakfast, it’s not clear in the description. The restaurant attached does is separate.
MARY
Always super pleasant and convenient. There was a fair amount of street construction in the area to be aware of, but obviously a temporary concern
Andrey
Great place, nice and romantic. My suburban didn’t fit into the parking garage
Michelle
Staff was excellent. The shower was divine. The area was quiet & safe & walkable. We were in Seattle for a doctor visit at Swedish. It was great to be able to park the car in the HB garage & walk to the appointment.
John
Cool but odd town
Very quaint cool place. Hotel was perfect, if you have never been to Ballard you should do your research. Cool but a bit of a sleepy town at night. Probably better in summer months. Immediate surroundings seem sketchy but then again it’s a water town.
Sandra
Front desk staff was on a personal call and was annoyed when I checked in. I had to remind her of my VIP status. Poor service.
Rebecca
Great location but, lots of noise and activity on the street the night I stayed.
Fabulous staff!
