Positives: The bedrooms are nicely decorated and there is a nice atmosphere around the place. Its in a beautiful location as you can sit out by the river. I found the breakfast staff really nice and helpful. Also the housekeeping team were really nice and accommodating.
Negatives: The food is not as good quality as I would like. Dishes are adventurous and different but they get the basics wrong (new potatoes really hard, avocado straight form a packet and not fresh) which for the price tag you wouldn't expect.
Bed was one of the most uncomfortable nights sleeps I have had on the road for many years - far too hard.

The Swan Hotel is amazing. Beautiful riverside pub a creaky old building full of character. The staff were amazing.
We had an evening race at nearby Dorney Lake, it was my birthday and our anniversary the next day. We pitched up at 1pm when the check in wasn’t till 3pm. They were charming, found us a lovely room with a balcony. Lunch was fabulous.
We were worried we wouldn’t get back in time for dinner as the kitchen normally closes 9-9:30pm but they held the restaurant open and we had another lovely meal before heading in to the bar to watch football on tv.
Cannot fault any aspect of our stay. I was amazed the place isn’t full every night

Room had everything you needed in it, even had a bug zapper and Bluetooth speaker so you can play your own music. Lovely to sit by the Thames have a drink and watch the boats go by if ever in the area again would definitely stay here again…

As an American, being able to stay in a building constructed in 1598 was a treat! The building has been maintained and updated but retains the spirit of the original era. My room was right above the pub so it was loud for a bit but the pub closes at 11 and it got quiet at that point. My balcony also looked out over the Themes and I saw rowers shooting along it all morning. The restaurant also offers yummy vegan options. I will definitely be back.

The weather was fabulous during our stay and it was lovely to have the river view from our bedroom and the dining room, and to sit out on the terrace for pre-dinner drinks.

I had a lovely stay! Great location right on the riverside, good food, tasty breakfast. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was cool with nice toiletries and coffee/tea facilities, the only thing was the shower got the floor really wet and the bathroom door handle was coming unscrewed (I was in room 10.) I’d stay again and totally recommend this hotel.

Every single member of staff we met made us feel special on our visit. They were so kind and helpful. The service was swift and efficient. The hotel was very clean and comfortable throughout. Great value for money. The choice of breakfast was very good and delicious. The parking outside, although limited was very well priced (council owned, but you pay in the hotel). We will recommend to others and hope to return.

Great overnight getaway in their largest river view room. Great staff and food.
Lovely top-end Teapigs teas and coffees in the room.

This is a very old building so expect squeaky and sloping floors. Wamr rooms (almost too warm), although could benefit from double glazed windows in the bedrooms to cut out some of the noise from people talking on the pub terrace below.

Lovely, historic hotel next to the Thames. The room was very clean and well presented , with a lovely en suite and balcony. Good facilities and thoughtfully designed to make best use of space.

The bed was comfortable, though a little small (Queen). If I return I would choose a larger room. Not a criticism, just simply a personal reality for a taller couple 😂.

The restaurant is excellent and bar homely.

All in all a great stay.

Lovely hotel in an amazing setting on the Thames. Staff were lovely and the food was great.

The thing that spoilt it: It's also a pub (not a problem by itself) but they have an outdoor area with a TV (playing football matches) - right under our window. That meant drunken lads shouting at the screen (very loudly) and even with the windows closed it was very loud. This went on for several hours, eventually stopping at around 11pm. The (quite young) staff were reluctant to confront the increasing drunken group, so the noise just got worse.

Always a great place to stay with the finest breakfast menu in town!.....Beware there is no lift in this old world hotel from the past...but is exquisite and right on the River thames with a great British Pub with excellent choice of beers....DO NOT get this hotel mixed up with The Boleyn Hotel across the street (it is terrible hotel and run down it looks good in the pictures but is not)

Easily one of the best hotels we've stayed at. Food was incredible, service was friendly (although staff knowledge of drinks could be worked on, was given gin glasses for prosecco, then when we tried to order a second bottle was told they didn't sell it.) Didn't negatively impact our stay but I'm sure there's some people who would have been making a scene about it. We stayed for our wedding anniversary but it was also the euro finals and we were pleasantly surprised by how calm and friendly the atmosphere remained considering the pub over the river was a little rowdy. Gorgeous views to eat with and the eggs at breakfast were gorgeous. We will absolutely be back next year! This is our new anniversary spot. Also only a 6 minute drive to thorpe park

As mentioned in other reviews, this is a great choice for convenience to Heathrow without feeling like you're close to the airport. The charm and character of the hotel is great, the pub and breakfast were excellent, and the staff was warm and welcoming. It took a bit of searching to find The Swan but it was certainly worth it. Next time we're in London we'll certainly be back!

The staff was superb. They went out of their way to make sure that I had the best of everything . We talked about everything. Also the bar hotel has been kept in great condition. Now I want to say something almost no hotel can brag about no matter the room price. They cleaned my room everyday , replenished whatever was needed, made the bed, etc. Nothing was to good for me. Just had a great nights stay at the Swan Hotel. If you are looking for a friendly, affordable, individual place to stay look no further.
Its obvious to see the investment that has been made in to this old building. It is refreshing to see somewhere with so much character not looking tired and tatty.
The room was small by todays standards but made up for it by the quality of fixtures and fittings. It also had a lovely balcony overlooking the Thames.
The evening meal and following breakfast were both of a good standard accompanied by friendly and attentive service.

This historic property is on the Thames with it's own dock.
It is a great location for the airport and local visits to Windsor, Runnymede and more. Great walks along the tow paths and easy access to all the amenities you need!

The staff at the Swan are excellent. Very helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms are good with the largest duvet I have ever had in a hotel. This is an old building so its a bit quirky, but all the better for it. The stairs to the second floor are steep. If your are looking for something a bit different with excellent service, then try the Swan

Love this hotel! If you are looking for a modern, sleek hotel, this is not for you. But if you love places with charm, wonderful, friendly staff, great food, in a lovely setting, then The Swan is perfect. Floors are a little slanted and the decor is homey. Dinner was wonderful and breakfast, included in the cost, was fabulous. Fun bar. Our only regret: we were there only one night.
