No pre notice that there is a crane in close proximity - which seemed to start early - around 7am. Didn’t wake me up, but aware of it when awake.
Good location for Cabot’s Circus - shopping and restaurants
Easy to drive into and convenient parking at the adjoining NCP parking

We managed to squeeze into the car park - but note the car park is an NCP. You validate the ticket leaving the hotel so you can park anywhere rather than just level 2 which is where the access is to the hotel. Check-in was fine. Room was fine- with bonus kitkats and water. We didn’t try the restaurant as we only stayed the one night and needed to be somewhere else. Gym is for over 18’s only.

The customer service was outstanding. The best I've received in years. It started with a warm and friendly welcome when I checked in after a long journey. The gentleman on reception greeted me with a genuone smile, the process was speedy and I liked that he advised me my room number was written in the keycard, rather than saying it out loud as is usually the case. As a woman travelling alone, I appreciated this. The room was clean, spacious and the bed and pullows were comfortable. The shower had good pressure, though I wasn't impressed with the bath. The plug hole in the middle of the bath was awkward and when you stand on it the bath filled up, which was also right under the showerhead. The bath was also quite high to get into for someone who isn't that tall. Breakfast was hot and fresh, and It was nice that someone visoted the table to make sure everything was ok, and ask if there was anything else they could offer. Dinner in the restaurant was lovely and fresh.Every member of staff I met greeted me with a smile, and asked if I'd had a good day. That small detail means a lot when you travel lots for work.

In summary, quite simply excellent. The customer service is outstanding!

Bristol has become quite a toilet recently, but this hotel is very well kept and fairly quiet. It's close to a lot of interesting businesses and restaurants. Be sure to get the daily breakfast, which is very convenient.

Four nights at this hotel and very nice it was, location was good with plenty of shops bars restaurants within walking distance. Had no complaints with the hotel the staff were lovely, rooms were comfortable and immaculate didn’t hear a sound from anybody during our stay, lovely hotel very reasonable would recommend.

Lovely hotel spoiled by AC not working.

Great location. Nice room. Lovely staff. All spoiled by ac not working. A temporary unit was in the room, it could not keep the room cool and kept turning off. Stay ruined by lack of sleep.

One receptionist very unhelpful when I couldn't access my reservation details due to roaming not working on phone. This caused a long delay as I couldn't access hotel WiFi. Receptionist was quite rude and disinterested, and did not clearly explain how to log into hotel WiFi. Also, we booked two rooms but were only given one until I reminded staff that two had been booked. I had been informed that these rooms would be beside each other but they were not. Bathroom lock didn't work properly and staff advised to just not lock the bathroom door. No maintenance available to repair or replace it. Lock on main door broke also and caused security issues as child could exit room any time. Had to request more toilet rolls. Other staff member/ receptionist was very helpful and tried to resolve issues but as mentioned above, adjacent room and maintenance were unavailable so she couldn't fully resolve the issues. Good location and hotel clean.

The aircon was broken in the room and the windows don’t open. Phoned reception twice about it before heading out for the evening. Still wasn’t fixed when we got back hours later and had to phone again and we were brought a portable aircon unit. The room was boiling and none of us slept. For £200 a night it was a joke.

We had an underwhelming stay here - the hotel is located at the outskirts of the city centre and the hotel itself looks and feels a bit “tired”. In addition to that the Front Desk is constantly closed from time to time and could feel a bit like a “ghost town”.

There had been some hiccups from check-in to check out, but eventually the management team was able to address the issues and assure me those will be improved in due course. Mistakes can happen and it’s about how they are addressed.

What a super Hotel in the middle of the city. Very helpful on arrival. Rooms spacious and well equipped. The beds are SUPER comfy. Restaurant serves good food and fabulous breakfast choice. Parking overnight and all the next day for £20. Would highly recommend

The reception counter did not have proper facilities for disabled and had to assist the staff in checking in a lady on a wheelchair.
The wheelchaired person could not access the desk at reception nor the staff were trained to give special help such as moving their ass from behind the desk and help the lady.

The waitress in the breakfast, Marittika was so kind that prepared for us the chocolate cakelets after knowing my daughter had graduated from high school. Lovely!

Central and average, watch out for the locals

This hotel couldn't be much more central, located at the Bear Pit roundabout joining Gloucester Rd. Be careful out and about in this area, Stokes Croft can be a bit druggy... Lovely restaurants nearby. Shame the underground car park isn't very secure and the local addicts use it to shoot up and collapse in.

This is the first time I’ve stayed there, but will be back.

Located right to the centre of Bristol, across the road from the main shopping area, all things were in three minutes of the front door.

We did walk to the train station, which was a little further accessible and safe on foot or by Taxi.

Aircon not working during entire stay

We booked for 4 nights and it was a terrible experience as the air conditioning was not working. We asked for them to repair or give an alternate room but all they gave was a discount on the tariff. Disappointed that in these day and age they are not able to resolve the issue for 4 days and not even offer an alternate room during the entire stay.

Business comes before compassion

Don’t expect a refund from this company if you check out early and cancel one nights stay before the checkout deadline.
Booked to stay in the Holiday inn Bristol city centre for 3 nights with my wife as it was very close to Bristol royal infirmary hospital.
My wife checked us out on the morning after the second nights stay before 11am checkout deadline, and was told that the 3rd nights stay would not be refunded.
She explained that I had been in the hospital for a heart valve replacement and this had failed so we would not need to stay for the 3rd night.
Holiday inn said they could not refund the money as it had been purchased through hotels.com. And hotels.com said it couldn’t refund the money as it was against Holiday inns policy.
All I know is that I now have to have open heart surgery in a few months time and one of these disgusting company’s is keeping £158 of my money.
Won’t be using again.

Excellent hotel

Lovely hotel, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and staff very accommodating. Bianca on reception sorted out a problem that we had with the bath, amazing staff and hotel. Was so close to Cabot Circus. Will definitely stay there again.

An enjoyable stay.

The hotel is in the process of being refurbished and so only the 6th and 7th floor were in use. Our room was very clean with quality bathroom fittings. The bedroom area was large with everything you would expect, a safe, hairdryer, free water in the mini fridge, iron/ironing board, tea/biscuits etc. We found the matress was a little firm, therefore not as comfortable as we would have liked. The staff at the hotel are first class, very friendly and helpful. A really great choice at breakfast from a self service buffet style to cooking you porridge or pancakes! The hotel is well located in central Bristol and the car park is directly next door, park on the second floor and it gives you easy access to the hotel itself. We enjoyed our stay.

A very pleasant stay

Staff were very nice and checked that everything was ok on many occasions. They greeted you very nicely and we even had a courtesy call, soon after checking in to make sure everything was ok.

Breakfast was lovely, room was friendly, and spacious.

The only downside is the seagulls sit on the windowsills but that can't really be helped by the hotel.

Fantastic Service and Great treatment

Staff were very friendly from the moment we arrived. They were all very helpful, very friendly and made our stay that much more enjoyable. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything and more.
The room was clean and had everything we needed.

Very handy to have the NCP car park attached to the hotel. The welcome on reception on the ground floor was very warm - Anne was lovely and is a credit to you!
The food was very good - waiting staff quite slow despite the restaurant in the evening being almost empty especially when the Maître D said he would return to take our mains order in a couple of minutes and finally arrived about 10 mins or so later. Breakfast was very good - all you could possibly want!
The area is quite run down which is a shame but the hotel cant help that - they make up for it with their friendliness and helpfulness. Handy for the Bristol Hippodrome which is about a 15min walk away.
