Small, clean room which is perfectly adequate for a quick stay. Extremely overpriced Starbucks in the foyer, average breakfast and gym pool that was far too busy and full of posing gym bros. Access to the gym and pool should be free for hotel customers as should the parking.

The hotel was ok for one night stay, did not use the bar gym or pool, room was semi clean but lacked attention to detail, bed not the most comfortable and music heard in the morning from I’m assuming the gym. Staff friendly and parking is extra depending on the room you book.

Room was nice and the bed was comfy. But someone had left the window open. The room was freezing. It took us ages to get warm air to blow out of the aircon unit. Then in the middle of the night it was boiling because it wouldnt turn off. I also didnt like the selfmchecknin.

Always love the gym when staying at a village hotel. The only downside for me which seems consistent across all Village Hotels are the staff in the bar/restaurant area.
The customer service standards from them are shockingly low.

I couldn’t stay there needed to cancel which I paid for extra insurance to cover me for then when it came to me calling to cancel they told me I couldn’t so left me out of pocket with no where else to stay.

Disgusting customer service ripped me off!!!

Utterly disappointing.

This is the most modern old place I’ve stayed in. Several USB ports but only two 3-pin plugs (who charges like that anymore?). The TV is basically useless — no built-in apps, no HD channels, only Android screen-mirroring. Not suitable for a business stay unless you’re just sleeping and showering.

Room condition was poor: worn, dirty-looking carpet, scruffy furniture, no toilet brush, temperamental flush, and awful bathroom lighting. Constant whistling from the air-con even when off, thin walls, and an uncomfortable bed that felt like a jumble-sale find.

The gym is rammed 24/7, turning the hotel into an afterthought. The car park was dangerously overcrowded with cars dumped on EV bays, grass, yellow lines, and disabled spaces.

Staff were decent, but the push toward self-check-in feels like a way to avoid complaints. Overall, a genuinely bad stay — I wish I could get my money back.

Did not like bathroom in bedroom ok can not see y but still can hear.Also the duty manager was very rude to me and my family they are sponsoring j d c but when went to use dart machine was told over 16 how does that work for the last 12 months he has paid on the one in converty he is 14 and a jdc player will not be going back and also no family rooms

I do enjoy a village hotel and stay with them for work alot but few little things got me wound up on this visit.

Due to its own success and the steam room being out of order, gyests were queuing to use the sauna which I have never seen before.

Payed for the premier room which had no milk,sugar, sweetener for a brew before leaving the next morning.

However I think being threatened with the police by the night porter as I came into the hotel because another separate group were sitting in reception having drinks was quite a shock. Not the best welcome after a night out.

I will be back due to previous visits but this one didnt hit the mark.

Bathroom cold, shower floods and steam, condensation throughout the room. Pillows like lead, bedding creased. Although we booked a double room only one towel, so had to go to reception for more towels. Cups in room chipped and cracked. Food not hot enough. Altogether a disappointing stay and won’t be booking Bristol Village hotel again.

The room was a different design from what I had seen before. Our room had a nice, large bathroom. But the water pressure was a 2 out of 5. Could not do a full flush of the toilet. There wasn't a mini fridge in the room. Something I've become accustomed to. No sockets available around the TV to plug in your own gaming or steaming devices. Positives: Starbucks onsite was great. Free parking with room booking. The hotel in general was very clean. It was value for money. I would return at the price I paid.

Good hotel, good facilities, room for improvement.

Everything thing was very nice. However the listing inferred free access to a pool but in fact there is a £5 24 hour charge for it. Would have been good to be told that in advance and then also book access.

The breakfast and the staff were very nice.

The room was very clean and well decorated. However, as it was on the second floor directly above the gym meant that bar bells and weights were being thrown to the ground very early in the morning and you can hear that in the room. Mentioned this to staff, they didn’t seem to care too much about the issue.

Arrived at around 2pm to be told that as check-in is listed as 3pm we would have to
Pay £15 for an early check-in. When I queried if a room was available, I was told yes. So why charge someone?? Smacked of budget airline pay for everything type of situation. Room service advertised, but was not available just after 11pm. Blind in the room was useless, so the room was brightly lit by 6:30am. Then we were treated to the sounds of the weight machines thumping every other second from the Gym beneath us.

Room wasn’t cleaned all week. No fresh towels or toilet paper so had to ask everyday even thou I left the tag on the door for my room to be cleaned.
Restaurant had none of the items 3 days on a run when we were ordering food and service seemed very stretched.
One night we waited 2.5 hours for food because they forgot to put our order on.

Great hotel spoilt by jobsworth cleaner

Literature in room stated a bbq buffet when I went to try it was informed it was no longer being provided
Parking was easy and accessible
Room cleaner was a bit of a jobsworth I forgot my charger in my room he was cleaning a room 2 doors down I asked that I retrieve the charger he explained he couldn’t let people into rooms I said he could go in an retrieve the charger.
He the stated he had to check with his manager. Totally wasting my time
I the asked another cleaner who entered the room and retrieved the charger
A waste of time for something so trivial

Stayed Sunday night for one night. Went to their Starbucks cafe and fancied a warm Ham and Cheese sandwich. Picked it up from the cold cupboard and went to pay. Suddenly a female staff member (Alisha or similar) took it out of my hands, slammed down a curtain in front of the display and said: 'We are not doing any more hot food. We are closing at six. All you can have is a coffee.'

I was in room 202 & too be honest it wasn't good - so much noise coming from the hotels own nearby gym, especially when people were dropping the weights on the floor - constant loud banging until around 22.00 and then from 06:00 in the morning.

Also no-one clarified the situation regarding car parking charges during check in.

This visit was not the best. The things that I noticed and was not expecting.

1. The air con should not be set to economy mode. Due to this issue, the room over heats and then it's hard to get sleep.
2. One of the tea cups in the room was not clean and had coffee stains on the outside.
3. The chair in the room was broken, so it tilted backwards by itself.
4. This was a first, I could hear the really loud people next door or below the room I was in. So sound proofing seems to have disappeared.

Stayed at the village for a night to attend a wedding reception. Staff were friendly on arrival. Room was small but had just what we needed. Bed was very comfortable and the air con worked well in the room we slept well. We did use any of the facilities gym/pool. However break fast was good.would recommend if you need to stay over in Bristol.

The check in man on 19th about 10pm was quite grumpy, but the kitchen staff were amazing at breakfast, the noise from classes woke my toddler up after a long flight that wasnt great. I just needed sleep. Found a flea on the windowsill I didn't see any others inside so hope it flew in. Breakfast was really good.

The hotel was super busy, we ate in the hotel but the food was poor. The room was ok, big bed but the bathroom door was broken. We wouldn’t rush back.

Rooms are very small and beds are not very comfortable. Having the parking is convenient but gets very busy during peak hours as there is an onsite gym also for non hotel guests. Parking and gym are free when staying in the club rooms, additional £5 charge for regular rooms.
