We had a five night stay in total. Our room was upgraded so we were in a large and newly refurbished superior king. It was quiet, clean and very comfortable. Staff were very helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

The room was comfortable and generally well maintained, but unfortunately the cleanliness of the in-room amenities was disappointing. The coffee mugs were not properly cleaned, and the electric kettle had significant limescale buildup, which came out every time we tried to heat water.

We requested a replacement kettle at night, and while it was slightly better, it still had similar limescale issues. For a brand like DoubleTree, we were expecting a higher standard of attention to detail.

Overall the stay was okay, but better maintenance and cleaning of basic room facilities would greatly improve the guest experience.

On returning after a long day at work the supposed cleaning of the room consisted of just throwing the quilt on the bed, no rubbish was removed, the Tea and coffee wasn’t replaced (so no tea and coffee was available) the place was a mess

The shower drain was clogged and not letting water through, very noisy room with door slamming every 5 minutes.

I thought the Hilton chain would give me at least a good night sleep but it was worst than a travelodge …Will not come back again.

Room with two double bed was more like 2 twin beds. Hotel suggested we book another room if we weren't happy and would need to split the family. After complaining got given a new room with 2 actual double beds!

Toilet didn't flush and we ended up using bin to fill up water to flush.

Asked for towels 3 times before we got any...

Room was old and dated. Pillows were rubbish and matress uncomfortable.

Breakfast was a joke. Crazy busy - ordered sausages didn't arrive. Coffee machine not working on day 2. Food left in warmer so didn't taste great. Not enough staff so couldn't get any help or sevice... To busy clearing tables too care about customers there.

Lots of problems with my stay. First the room was cold and altering the air conditioning didn't make a difference. Second there was a problem with hot water in the bathroom. Restaurant closed early on the night I arrive and so I had to eat in the bar. The remains of some pretzels were on the stairs well the entire time I was there, and not cleaned up. Breakfast was very good though with very attentive staff.

Was ok until we asked for late check out they gave us till 1pm at 1250 they where calling us on the phone when we left money was coming out of our account we asked what was happening they accused us of smoking we don’t smoke the proff they had was an empty glass cake small bowl with black crumbs. When we first got there we should of none to go complain but are fault when we entered the room there was a plug in radiator a very small one for the size of the room even with that on we was still cold but we had unpacked and didn’t want to have to move so we just stayed tucked up in bed no heating in a hotel never heard of it before then we had to ask for extra pillows as there was only one as for clean I’m 50/50 on that as it’s a very tired room and what is going on with the food menu nothing soft on there that I could eat I have no teeth yes you read that right I have no teeth to be honest I used to love staying here but won’t again but I will say staff are amazing so helpful always smiling always polite

Breakfast was overpriced so didnt opt for this. 2 adults and 2 kids comes to £68 a day! Room was clean, air con worked. The pool felt dirty, with lots of chlorine to attempt to overcome this. Parking on a Tuesday evening is apparently a no go as there is an event space that fill the car park with vans until after 10pm. After paying £8 a night for parking up front i had to park on the business estate in the end. Overall a tired hotel. The only thing i rated here was some of the staff, particularly the person checking us in who also gave us recommendations for part of our trip.

This hotel does not deserve 4 stars. It’s hardly 3 stars. Rooms are decorated old-fashioned and beds were not comfortable. We stayed 4 people in a King and Twin room. All four of us woke up with back pain. Won’t stay again in any way.

Hi, unfortunately my stay was a little spoilt. The pool area and changing rooms are showing signs of wear and does not seem to be very clean I booked this hotel, as it had a pool area). I have to say the staff in that area where great, very polite and professional. I also reported that my room had noise through the night coming from the Airconditioning area. Gurling noises, like water air locks in the pipes. This did spoil my nights sleep. I reported this to reception and they were very apologetic. Overall, the staff where very polite and professional.

The staff were very good only gets four stars because they did have trouble finding me with my dinner so it was a little bit cold when it arrived and breakfast was an absolute shambles not the fault of the hotel or the staff but the coachload of visitors that were very rude And anyone would think they’re never eaten before.
Good Wi-Fi, you do have to pay for parking, which is a bit annoying

First impressions were good - great location to motorway, plenty of parking, smart exterior, restaurant and reception areas were both clean and well maintained.
Away from the main areas you could see that the accommodation looked really tired and needing refreshing - doors to the standard bedrooms were marked and damaged, the swimming pool was too overcrowded as swimming lessons were happening in there, the steam room wasn’t working and the overall cleanliness wasn’t great. The sink in our room was blocked so we had to move room. The next room we were given was smaller and apparently a deluxe room, however the sink had a massive crack in it, the toilet seat wasn’t fixed properly and the king size bed was in fact 2 beds pushed together (and kept moving apart) with a bed sheet across them holding them together. The fittings around the shower were rusty, only 2 towels were supplied, dressing gowns were of a very small size and no choice in pillows. No information booklet in the room regarding hotel or area information. We were staying for 2 nights and did not have any maid service or fresh towels provided during our stay (lucky we used our beach towels).
We were very disappointed as we’ve stayed in other Doubletree Hilton hotels before and their standards are alot higher. The photos of the rooms on the website are nothing like what the rooms are actually like.

Very tired rooms, fixtures and bathrooms. Terrible water pressure so the shower was weak at best. Swimming pool was full of hair and the showers in the changing rooms again, pathetic.
The staff were however great and tried their best to resolve issues the best they could.
Next time, we visit Bristol, we will not be staying here.

The long awaited stay at your establishment left a lot to be desired.

As a disabled person with additional life challenges I expected a better experience.

The booking experience was satisfactory.
We were able to arrange disabled parking and it was free.
We requested a specific access room near to the reception and that was arranged.

The room,106, was terrible.
It smelt like a storage room,woody and cigarette like.
The furniture and decor was old and outdated.
Ths desk chair's upholstery was so bad I requsted to habe it replaced.
The wardrobe doors were very difficult to open due to it's design.
The room was dull and unappealing, with no pictures.
The wet room door couldn't close.
In inside bottom of the door was worn and chipped.
The inside of the hand basin was cracked, the toilet seat was also cracked.
The drainage in the wet room was very slow.

I would have requested a room change if it wasn't for the room being in the right place.

I found the restaurant quite expensive and un inspiring.

Again I must say the staff were very helpful.

Not the warmest welcome to the hotel by the receptionist whilst Traveling with my elderly parents and my 6 Year old daughter and our dog.
Our room was quite old and bath was mouldy and rusty. Floors don’t look the cleanest and skirted boards were dirty

The bed sheets didn’t fit our bed properly either but bed was comfortable

Four small bowls of fries cost over £30 which was very overpriced!

Pool was okay and roomy, the man on the leisure reception was helpful and friendly to us all.

Breakfast staff were very nice and On check out they give my daughter an extra cookie.

Reliable with free warm(ish) cookies!

This along with a Premier Inn are my go to hotels for reasonably priced no frills short term accommodation. You just know where you are with them. My cookies weren’t as warm as I’m used to though. 😉

Had a minor niggle with a member of staff who seemed a bit stressed at breakfast but we all have bad days so no biggy…just seemed a bit flustered and therefore distracted from providing the best customer service. Like I said no biggy!

The property gets a \"Terrible\" rating because of the mind-bogglingly poor design of the access to the first floor.
There is one narrow flight of stairs, no lift (and, of course, no porters!) and 274 paces to our room (2001 - definitely an Odyssey!!).
I am 84. God knows how someone really old and infirm manages - let alone anyone with heavy luggage. Impossibly bad.

Awful beds! The most uncomfortable sleep we've ever had. Mattress was noisy and had springs poking out everywhere. Bath was filthy and the shampoo dispenser was falling off the wall. AC didn't work. Check in was positive, and gentleman was very welcoming. Pool was lovely and warm, just a shame only half of it could be used owing to swimming lessons, and the half we could use was filled with unsupervised children bombing into the pool. Wouldn't return.

Smoking area outside the main doors ruined stay

The aggravating factor for my terrible review is the main and only entrance is through the smoking area.
This is not a pleasant experience for non-smoker, and impact on my family.
Why not put the smoking area at the back out of the way - or even better off site!!

Warm welcoming hotel. Staff are fantastic and nothing is too much bother. Check in is easy. Limited parking available. Room's and corridors are more dated and tired looking than expected from the Hilton brand. Although that being said, they are clean and rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is served until 10, we went just before 9, Lee who saw us to our table was fantastic. Breakfast, although plenty of choice, we found with an hour to go until close, we had to ask several times for items to be restocked, and some items were completely unavailable.
