Easy check in, good breakfast, easy and cheap to park. Only small point was the cleaning team ask that we keep towels, which we did, only for them to remove them on the second day and not replace with the same amount of towels for the people that were staying in the room.

I nearly didn’t go as I read so many bad reviews on trust pilot,so I was pleasantly surprised that it turned out as good as it did and was glad I went. The check in process was simple although the receptionist was there to help, parking was advertised ,via a pay machine inside the reception or in the car Car park on arrival I was offered a ground floor room or a different floor the choice was mine. The bedroom was very clean loads of towels, and toiletries etc, my free breakfast was good this morning if a tad busy, but was warned by staff it would be ,hot and cold food available good choices. All in all I would say a great stay, and the staff were lovely and friendly,ate in the evening in pub across the car park and I have to say it was the best beef roast I’d ever had.i would say that the shower door was the only blip of an otherwise great stay, it needs repairs,and looked grubby but that’s doable ,so all in all I would say well holiday inn express Filton .

Room was a bit dated and there were a few issues with cleanliness like the bedside table had spilled coffee stains on it, the room also had a funny smell when we walked in, but it was comfortable enough. Staff were great and very friendly. The breakfast was pretty average but did its job, and for free, you can’t really complain. My biggest complaint was the noise from kids running/ racing up and down the corridor constantly up to about 11pm. Not the hotels fault but would’ve thought someone would’ve put a stop to it sooner.

When arriving at her room we realised the bathroom door was broken, it was hanging off the hinges. We reported this to reception on our way out for the evening and was told it would be put in the book ??
This wasn’t fixed during our stay and we had to lift and wedge the door every time someone needed the bathroom or shower . So it interfered with our privacy especially as I was sharing the room with my 23 year old son and 8 year old granddaughter.
My son fitted the hinge back on a few times but it kept fallen off leading the door to hang off and be unsafe

The breakfast was not of the same standard quality as other Holiday Inn stays. I get the impression they have lowered the quality of the produce to cut costs. Be prepared also if you are a solo traveler to be directed toward the high chairs, facing the wall away from the tables when eating your breakfast. I went along with the direction but she looked genuinely surprised when I replied \"if I have to\". Nothing like paying for a hotel and being treated to a breakfast facing the wall in a high stool like a child. Sent an email to management and got a generic we will look into this and adjust training etc.

Staff are lovely and welcoming. Room was clean when we arrived and breakfast buffet had a good choice and was replenished regularly. Watch out for the option to not have your room serviced some days. We opted for this as it was a short stay and didn't realise that it meant not even the bins were emptied. Staying with a baby, we were glad not to have been staying any longer! I'm sure they would have emptied the bins if we'd asked though, the staff really were ever so helpful.

The car park bays were too narrow. Even when you park well within the white lines there is such a small gap between the cars that it is difficult to get out of the car. There was no control over the heater in the bedroom and you couldn't switch it off as there was no remote and the on off button on the machine itself didn't work therefore it was too hot at night.

Initially in room on 2nd floor but heating didn’t work and dog constantly barking for over an hour you could hear in room 2 floors below (apparently dogs are allowed on ground floor and this one’s owners must have left it to go out to dinner 😬)! Loads of complaints including from us so we were moved to third floor on end which turned out to be more modern, bigger bed, lovely shower and very quiet being on the end. Our stay was very good room was very clean and freshly aired we did however find. the mattress on the bed to be very firm to the point of being uncomfortable the breakfast room was extremely clean and bright and well organised a credit to the staff the whole building was really clean and well presented the only other item was having to pay to park both our cars even though we were in the same room, how ever I was really please in the overall cost of the room and will hopefully stay again

Our check in was easy and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable with enough space for the two of us to relax after a long drive. Sainsbury’s supermarket was a two minute walk from the hotel and was open until 10pm so very handy. We were a little bit late to eat dinner but the menu looked really varied and if we’d had time there would have been plenty of options. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Due to the location of the hotel if you are wanting to go into the city centre I would recommend you drive as you would be doing a 20 minute walk to the train station or getting a £20 uber. For us this was £15 during the course of our stay. They also charge for dogs, but you don't find out about this until after you've booked (+£30). Prices should be much much more transparent up front.
