No key code received to enter the hostel and room.
The big problem was I did not get the access key code to enter the building and my room. It was not clear if Hotels.com or Forenom Hostel was responsible to send me the key. I had to call to get a key, and it eventually came from Hotels.com.

Was promised an email containing instructions on how to access my room by 1600 on arrival day. I did not get this email even after 1700 on arrival day. I had to resubmit identity verification through an older email and then was given access, even though I'd already completed that verification.

Great location gets you everywhere although check in was rough problems with getting and maintaining the codes to get into the room and facility was made to use back entrances for some reason and other guests almost burning down the building by accident only then did the staff do their jobs & no hot water in the showers that's as fair as I review I can give

The room was incredibly stuffy and too warm with no ventilation system, and only one of the three windows would open to let in some air. The curtains didn’t cover the windows, so there was far too much light coming in the morning, and noise from the road because the window was open.

It’s a 10 minute walk from the airport. Well lit main roads so felt safe walking from my late night arrival and back to my early morning departure. Key code arrived before checkin time via email and text. Entry keypad for building has been moved from the side wall to the centre of the front door so can’t miss it now.
For the price I paid, this is value for money accommodation and I’ll stay here again.

Interesting approach for a hostel
This place is actually quite amazing for a hostel. It's like a cross between a hotel and a hostel. It is well-organized and very clean The place does feel a bit institutional but it is still a very good place to stay as hostels go. It is a bit pricy but, from what I can tell, that seems to be more a factor of the accommodations industry in Helsinki overall - every place I saw was more expensive.

This was a typical hostel with simple single rooms with basic amenities. The sheets were crisp and clean and the duvet and blanket was very comfortable. It's a very short walk from the airport and you can take the luggage cart all the way there on pedestrian paths, which are everywhere. I couldn't get the water hot in shower but everything was very clean. It's a great place to day trip out of to downtown Helsinki by the train or the bike share- there are actually bike/walking trails all the way! I ran to downtown and it was about 18 km and there were no places I felt unsafe. I took the train back later at night and it was well lit and safe. There aren't common areas to hang out and the rooms are tiny so its not a place to hang out or meet people. The kitchen isn't really large enough to cook in but you could make due in a pinch. T

Budget hotel stay near airport for a few hours
This was a budget stay just for a few hours sleep before a flight, everything was adequate except for bed cleanliness - I found a few hairs wrapped up in the duvet which made me doubt if it had been cleaned at all. That was really off putting. Otherwise only 15 minutes walk to the airport, bring earplugs as you can hear your neighbours along with an eye mask as there are only blinds that do not block out all light, there is a trip hazard at the entrance that I fell over which seems to be a large bolt screw sticking up, there was a coffee maker and fridge in the room along with a TV and the bed was comfortable. But a clean bed is the most important thing and I'm not sure it was. Personally wouldn't feel safe being here alone, communication was only via phone, no reception.

Very simple accommodation. A bit far from the airport, but it's still possible to walk to the hostel also with a bigger luggage. Getting inside the building was a bit confusing, because at the entrance there were at least three different keypads for different pin codes.
The room was clean but a bit old-fashioned and not very comfortable. My room also smelled like an old bar, clearly some customers had been smoking inside. (I couldn't complain about it though, because I arrived in the middle of the night and needed to sleep.)

Not really. Making your own bed, then a room which is like 8m2? Not one sign on the street. Mega cold and in an old office building? Absolutely never again. The bed is 80cm x 1.80 cm. That’s how I imagine a prison cell.

Which made it the same cost as the holiday inn with free shuttle.
Upon arrival there were 4 boxes with keypads but only 1 of them is functional and instructions not clear (use a #). This was stressful at 1am but resolved quickly. It's an old office building, but i don't mind- reduce and reuse. i was plenty warm in January.
2 twin beds so my husband &i had to sleep separately-whatever.
My problem: the beds were disgusting.
Logically, I know I've slept in much worse in college but ew. you make the bed yourself which just highlights all the gross stains. Brown mattress with what looked like a blood stain, dingy white/brown pillow and duvet. The linens looked cleaned at first but when i opened them up they were also stained and had hairs on them! No kidding there were small black curly hairs on my \"clean\" duvet cover. My husband couldn't care less so he had no problem, but i was about to call a cab (no refund policy) when he reminded me we had new linens in our luggage from a gift. In the night the bathroom was gross but i caught them just after cleaning in the morning.
I survived. He was content. But was it worth saving 50$?

OK for catching some sleep before an early flight, don't recommend for longer stays. Rooms are in old office facilities and rather rough looking. Bed linen were stained and shared washroom/toilet facilities were not well kept, e.g. lacking hand soap and the hand towel dispenser was empty.

I would not stay here again, it was advertised as a hostel with the words “Helsinki airport” meaning that it should be in close proximity to the airport… with the snow and arriving late it was impossible for me to walk to the hostel. I was freezing during the night as I was not provided with a duvet. I have stayed in hostels before which were 100x better than this for the same price. I also felt the place was unclean.

Prepare to make your own bed, with folded sheets left on top of the bed. Warm rooms, but very dormitory style. Had the room been hoovered? Not so sure. You might wake up to find puke and cigarette ends in the sink of the communal bathroom, in the morning, like I did. Surprisingly quiet at night, even though could hear every little step outside, earlier on.
It takes 20 mins brisk walk from the airport, regardless of what the route planner says. And there is no more bus transportation to get there, so it's either by feet or by taxi, now. Mostly used by local and foreign workers, I think.

There was only one shower for each gender for about 40 rooms and a few toilets - so better not be in hurry. There was a couple of insects in the room and a noisy fridge. Possible mildew gave me headache until I found a way to jam couple of windows slightly open (there's no ventilation window). Soap and paper towels were missing from some toilets (remember the Corona...).

It was all that I needed. Close to the airport after a late flight. Easy to walk to within 10-15 mins. Easy access via code that will be sent to you on day of arrival. Comfy bed too.

It is a bit like a ghost building with no staff around. But room is clean. You have to make your own bed. An ancient television. The showers were clean but not much water pressure. There was no toilet tissue in any of the toilets on my floor which was strange and could have been a huge problem. A little noisy as walls don't seem to be very thick. It is just ok for one night waiting for a flight but don't recommend for a longer stay. You can get to and from the airport using the parking shuttle bus which goes past. For the price I did not expect much so was not especially disappointed but having no toilet paper is unforgivable.

A simple night stay which is about 15mins walk away from the airport. Basic amenities with fair cleanliness level. Only downside is that the hostel is remotely managed so there is no one stationed to assist with queries. Email was sent twice to inquire about luggage storage prior to arrival but received no response back as well.

Good value. Would be useful to get more info in advance, e.g. that they have cooking facilities and fridge, a better map given that they are just a walk from the airport. Thicker curtains given that it was midsummer. Reliance on PIN (and absence of staff) makes you a bit anxious to visit the bathroom in just your shorts!

The availability of budget accommodation within walking distance of the airport is a great convenience for overnight layovers and early morning flights. There was some noise from the beeping door codes and the dishwashing station in the hall, but in general people seemed to respect quiet hours. The kitchen had minimal pots and one would have to be resourceful to cook there, but it is a convenience to have a microwave and electric kettle in the room. When I was there the lock on one of the bathroom stalls did not work and the other stall was out of toilet paper, but otherwise things seemed clean and functional.

We needed a place to stay between our night flight and a morning bus-trip. This was a good and cheap choice. Old but clean rooms. Toilets and showers’ condition was okay. Couldn’t hear any noises from the hallways or other room so we slept well. There was a fridge and a microwave in a room which was a nice plus. Took us a while to find women’s toilets and showers cause in our hallway there were only men’s ones. The building itself was a bit hard to find in the dark. For some reason any of our map-apps didn’t show the hostel right. The most challenging this was the renovations going on at the airport. When we finally figured out the way, it took us less than 10mins to walk to the hostel from the airport.

Basic no frills room which suited my needs as I was on a 17 hour layover. The hostel is situated near the airport and the free 'Airport P' stops just outside it. It is the third stop after you get on the bus at Terminal 2 and the bus runs every 15 minutes between 3.30am to 1.30am daily. Would probably stay here again if needed.

I loved the security of the facility. Wish there were staff around for questions or assistance of any kind. There was never anyone at the front desk and it was rare that you'd see any staff at all. There's not really any way to meet others that are staying here. So don't stay at this hostel if you're looking to be social. Really a very nice hostel - worth a night stay
We didn't expect much from a hostel, but it was only 15 minutes walk from the airport, and 100 euros cheaper than an airport-hotel, so we risked it. Glad we did. Very clean, very nice. Can't complain at all about it. The room had everything we needed (kettle, microwave, glasses), and shared bathroom was not a problem at all (we were only there for one night). Highly recommend this place.

Noisy guests ruined stay
I've used this hotel several times when arriving late/departing early from Helsinki airport. Location, facilities and cleanliness are all good, but on this occasion my stay was ruined by several noisy guests who were drinking and listening to music in the lobby until fairly late at night. As I had a ground floor room near the entrance, I also had considerable noise outside my window from the same guests smoking and drinking outside. All this led to very little sleep during my stay. Although i'm happy to use 'self-service' facilities like this one, some supervision to help deal with unruly guests would be most welcome.

Great spot for a few days stay
Clean and very convenient to airport. It has microwave and fridge for longer stays. The train and free airport bus makes it very easy to commute into Helsinki. Expedia dropped the ball by responding that booking was confirmed but don’t believe them- you MUST fill out paperwork the hostile sends you. Luckily I called Forenam on arrival and they found a room for me but did cost an overseas call. Not a typical hotel but clean and efficient for travelers.

This hotel is a good option for those who need to spend the night near the airport in Helsinki. There's an airport express shuttle that takes you back and forth to the airport for free. There is no places to go eat around there, so you can purchase food at the airport or eat after arrival.

Although located at a comfortable (read walkable) distance from the airport there were no signages plus fellow cab riders too had little clue. I would suggest they provide free shuttle to guests,that would be great. The system of self check in is quite handy but I feel there should be someone at front desk who can assist incoming guests. Only Good Thing Is Proximity to Airport
The only reason I stayed here, and I imagine the only reason anyone stays here, is its proximity to the airport. If you have an early flight to catch the following day, it makes sense to stay close. But other than that, this place has little to recommend it. There's no reception, and they email and text you a code that let's you into your room by 4pm. Except when I arrived at the hostel I discovered that the code they sent me didn't work. I had to call and get put on hold for a long while before getting someone on the phone who informed me that some sort of tech problem meant that many people couldn't get in. When would it be fixed? No idea. I asked that they call me back when it was fixed. No one ever called. Eventually I tried the door one more time and found that they'd finally fixed the problem.
Then there's the filthy shared shower. A lot of hair doing the clogging besides random stuff that I couldn't even discern and didn't really want to. Thin walls meant that I could hear the crying baby next door. Vending machine in the lobby was broken. There are no shops or restaurants nearby unless you go to the airport and except a gas station that sold bad burgers.
