Upon arriving to the hotel I was immediately met with a warm welcome and smile. The check-in process was smooth and efficient and I was even given an upgrade which was a nice bonus. There was such a sweet note and dessert in the room on arrival. Staff have been friendly throughout my entire stay, always offering a warm welcome or helpful advice. The common kitchen was awesome, we made some eggs and bacon in the morning and had some snacks in the evening. Central location, easily accessible by transport. I need to give a special shoutout to Maria for her hospitality. Truly went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and pleasant. (To the manager reading this please give her some recognition of her hard work)

Good hotel

Very clean hotel. Great location near the tram station with easy access to Messukeskus. The only problem for a tea lover like me is that the room do not contain a kettle. To me, the kettel is more impoprtant than the mini-bar available in the room. However, They have a common kitchen that can be used for this purpose.

The Folks hotel simply is great ! lovely sauna, steam room and gym. The Hotel was very clean, modern and comfortable. With a tram stop about a minute away its was easy to get all around Helsinki.

Even better than I expected 😍

Fabulous hotel. Lovely warm welcome even though my flight was cancelled/rearranged and I didn't end up landing at the hotel until midnight. I was upgraded to a family room which gave me a huge room all to myself! The thing that really blew me away was the yoga studio 😍 a beautiful fairy light lit space I made full use of and enjoyed having a play on the frames around the room too. We have offices just down the road so the location is perfect and I hope to be back one day!

Presumably a local climate means you need well sealed rooms but they can become stuffy with no options for opening the room to air .
Internet was iffy. Most of the time it seemed to work well enough but it was pretty slow and often the effort to reconnect after being disconnected for some mysterious reason, was difficult.

I came over to Helsinki to go to the Slush technology show, but I came down with a virus on the plane over.
I was pre-charged for my entire stay on checking in.
The hotel layout was the most confusing I had ever found - it took me ages to find my room in the back half of the hotel as the signs made no sense.
The room was set to 22degC and even though I turned it down to 20degC, in the morning it was still at 21.7degC - what is the point of giving people a thermostat if you ignore it?
The bathroom was a wet room so everything got soaked when you had a shower.
The skirting boards were painted black and showed up all the dirt they had failed to clean away.
I was booked in for 3 nights, but the illness meant I needed to get home and to the doctors.
The manager totally refused to offer me any partial refund so I got charged 3 nights and 3 extortionate breakfasts for 1 nights stay.

This was my first trip to Europe. This hotel had everything that I was looking for and made my visit to Finland even more enjoyable. The staff was super friendly. The hotel was very clean, quiet, and comfortable and had all of the amenities that I was looking for - nice room with a view, a great workout room, a very nice restaurant and roof top bar, and a very cool space for coffee and to get some work done. The location was excellent also - walking distance to downtown Helsinki, grocery store and an outdoor music venue next door, and nice restaurants. As a bonus it's a couple blocks away from Linnanmaki, the amusement park in Helsinki. All of that for a really good price!

I was in for a visit from the United States and wanted to find a place to stay that was easy access to downtown Heslinki but without the high cost. This place was perfect for me. The staff is exceptionally nice. The place was super clean and quiet with a great little workout room. There is a roof top bar and a beautiful restaurant and wine bar. I enjoy starting my day at coffee shops and discovered the hotel had a perfect spot for coffee and to get some work done. The location was great also. There is an outdoor venue with live music next door and a grocery store also. I walked and took a scooter to downtown. Highly recommend this place and plan to stay here again whenever I return to Finland.

Excellent hotel, calm atmosphere

Really nice hotel, next to a slightly quieter bit of town, but still easy to get to everywhere (a short tram ride from the conference centre in one direction, Helsinki Central in the other). Calm atmosphere, helpful staff, good breakfasts. Next to the old railway garages, which now seem to have street food, which is nice.

The hotel was in an up and coming area of Helsinki in a redeveloped warehouse, very close to the Pasilla shopping Mall and convenient for the airport. The staff were very welcoming flexible and helpful and the local area was interesting and fun.

Mostly very good.
Bathroom to small. When you take a shower, the whole floor gets wet.

I booked a Loft room. The way this is presented on this site makes it look like a comfy option for a 3 person stay. (One adult, 2 teen boys). In fact they threw in a cheap extra folding bed in a room that is more like 200 SQ ft (20 m²) than the 300+ that the listing said. It is a very nice place overall, but for the money I paid I was really disappointed. The cheaper mini suite might have been a better choice, 2 regular rooms certainly would have been cheaper and better.
Also, coldish coffee and thin hot chocolate in the reception machine is Starbucks prices but not very good quality. Breakfast was excellent.

Ihana korttiterveinen, ja limut, kiitos. Pussilakanassa tahroja ( eivät olleet pesussa irronneet ) , mittarinvalossa ei ohjeita miten saa pimeäksi, loisti koko yön. Kylmä lattia vessassa. Aamupalalle mentäessä ei sitä ollut juurikaan jäljellä. Tietysti olisi mukavaa saada nukkua lomalla vaikka klo 10 asti, ja mennä siitä aamupalalle, eli viikolla olisi mukavaa, jos aamupala olisi klo11.00 asti.

Täyden kympin kotikolo

Viivyin pari yötä festarireissulla ja kaikki toimi viimeisen päälle. Tosi ystävällinen palvelu, siisti ja mukava huone, hyvä aamupala viihtyisässä ympäristössä. Harmitti ainoastaan se ettei hotellilla ehtinyt oleilla pidempään muiden menojen takia.

Hyvä palvelu ja siisti perushotelli. Vanha rakennus antoi odottaa enemmän, huone ja yleiset tilat oli harmillisesti remontoitu eri tyyliin. Ihana aamiainen kynttilänvalossa oli kokemus itsessään!

Viihtyisä ja erittäin siisti hotelli, mukavat sängyt, laadukkaat pesuaineet. Erinomainen palvelu. Aamiaisella ihana tunnelmavalaistus ja oikein hyvä valikoima myös moniallergiselle (erikoismainintana mustikkainen tuorepuuro ja vihersmoothie ilman iänikuista kiiviä ja omenaa, täydellistä! Huone oli tilava ja viihtyisä. Moderni ja nykyaikainen sisustus. Sänky ja tyynyt mukavat nukkua. Huone oli hiljainen, vaikka ratikka meni ohi. Yövyimme pienen pennun kanssa eikä sekään häiriintynyt liikenteestä. Pieni miinus voimakkaan tuoksuisista käsisaippuasta ja suihkugeelistä, jotka eivät soveltuneet herkälle iholle. Kokonaisuus kuitenkin todella hyvä. Tulen jatkossakin, jos tarvitsee majoittua lähettyvillä.

Nyrenoverat och utsökt service

Trevligt hotell lite ytterom centrum men med bra förbindelser. Utsökt service och speciellt maten. Rummen har högt till tak och väldigt fin inredning, man känner sig som hemma. Gymmet har väldigt hög standard jämfört med de flesta hotellrummen för att inte tala om deras bastuavdelning. Stora rymliga bastur och duschrum. Verkligen värt ett besök!

The Hotel is okay, no complaints actually but before they had parking on site, now a days it is other side of the area and costs 30€. Also before the breakfast was one of the best in town… unfortunately not any more, the breakfast quality is gone away down. it is not bad but not even close what it used to be. The dinner restaurant is still very nice and good but their wine prices are so greedy priced so would not go there again anymore (wines starts from 73€-). For only these reasons will not choose this nice hotel in the future again.
