Hotel is kept really well, very clean rooms. Really good breakfast with a huge variety of food. Staff at check in were very polite and helpful.
Great pool and saunas (although male and female saunas are separate!)
Great location, making it very easy to explore Helsinki.

Arrived. Lobby quiet. 3 staff on reception. On approaching the desk, we were told to go back and get a numbered queung ticket or they wouldnt check us in. And there was no que. Welcoming? No! Outrageous behaviour.
Coloured the rest of the stay in an otherwise ok hotel.
Having said which not a smile from any staff. And they try to upsell you dressing gowns, slippers, late Checkin etc.
Too hard. Too commercial. Too soulless.
Pity. Nice building.

Positive points- excellent location, clean, comfortable, competitive pricing, small but well equipped gym. Negative points- breakfast hall like a school canteen, tables crammed together, food poor. Swimming pool (and sauna) only open mornings till 10 am and evenings 5-9.30, receptionist could not explain why (we understand about the sauna). Broken light in room not fixed during our stay and took 2 days to get lamp.

After a bad experience having to check out early at another hotel, we found Hotel Presidentii, which was great. Big hotel but the rooms are quiet and clean. The bathroom has a heated floor which is a nice feature. BreaBreakfast

Everyone were very nice and friendly and I really appreciated how the staff made an effort to speak Swedish with me. :) One strange thing though was how the people in the bar first ignored us and then later told us to go somewhere else as the bar closed at 22(?) instead of informing us that there was a self service bar in the lobby.

Das Hotel ist überall sehr sauber und auch die Sauna und der Pool sind ordentlich.
Jedoch ist das Hotel auf der einen Seite recht modern (z.B. Zimmer sind frisch Renoviert) aber auf der anderen etwas altmodisch und der Pool und Sauna Bereich könnte eine Renovierung vertragen.

Das Frühstück ist international aufgestellt, jedoch besteht nicht sonderlich viel Auswahl (Eine Käsesorte, eine Sorte Schinken und eine Sorte Salami). Die Kaffeemaschinen haben nur Filterkaffee und Espresso und andere Kaffeesorten können zwar bestellt werden, aber nur gegen Aufpreis.

Was mir bei der Buchung nicht bewusst war, ist dass der Roomservice nur alle 3 Tage stattfindet. Das finde ich zu lange und vor allem wenn man das Fitnessstudio und den Pool nutzt, will ich nicht 3 Tage lang das selbe Handtuch benutzen.

This hotel was really great. The location was central and the pool and sauna were great. Hotel is slightly dated but that sort of gave it charm. The hotel doesn't really have a bar open past 9pm so that was a bit of a bummer when looking for a night cap post dinner. Overall, we were very happy and it was a great hotel to end our trip with.

A great location - close to the train station, and many museums, restaurants, etc. within walking distance. The breakfast buffet was varied and substantial. The hotel sauna and pool were very nice. Only quibble re: the use of the sauna. They request going totally nude, but if one wants to have a dip in the pool to cool off, what is wrong with wearing a swim suit inside?

Hotel is lovely and great location. Room was very warm at night and pillows not comfy.
No housekeeping service for the 3 nights we were there which was disappointing and we had to ask for fresh towels.
Very limited opening times for swimming pool and water was too cold

Great hotel in a superb location. Surrounded by popular attractions, shopping malls, restaurants and near main train station. Standard room is a little small. Lobby could add a weighing scale for luggage. Pool lock is not on time. We stayed 3 nights and were fed same boring breakfast everyday. More cleaning staff needed instead of discouraging guests to clean their rooms. Overall a worthy stay.

Overall my stay was good. I liked the pool as it was great to do laps. I found the breakfast a bit disappointing. The scrambled eggs were awful. They had no selection of coffee ( no decaf, lattes or cappuccino). Also as a non meat eater, they didn’t have much variety of cheeses to select from. The porridge was very good as well as berry compote

It was a very nice stay. All staff was very helpful and accommodating.
Easy walking distance to National museums, central railway station, central bus hub, variety of restaurants and shopping centres.

Our stay was very middle of the road - there was a long line for check-in with paper check-in forms, breakfast was a very cheap buffet with large crowds and very few local items, the bar had poor drink options and service. On the positive side, the hotel is centrally located and the rooms appear to be somewhat recently remodeled (albeit with cheap outdoor-type carpet).

Great location and staff were really helpful. Room was small but very adequate (had everything including extras sometimes not available like a portable heater, kettle etc). Near a running path which was great plus the location was superb- near the sights, train station, shops etc. My only complaint would be the pool was cold (but sauna was right there) and could have been a bit cleaner. But overall I’d stay here again given the location, staff/service and facilities!

So far so good but no surprising at all. Hotel being full house, so breakfast in a messy and crowded state. Used dishes still left on the table without anyone to touch or to remove away. Disappointed.

Cleaning up not done at all when coming back to hotel at 9:00 pm. Very upset and annoying.

This is an old but well maintained hotel in a great location. Rooms are beautifully upgraded and are very comfortable. The rooms come with breakfast.
Unlike some American where they offer cheap breakfast, this hotel offers superb breakfast with large variety and high quality.
The hotel is within walking to the main train station museums shopping and other attractions.

Did not go as planned- I put the day of travel in 1day later than I should have which meant I didn’t get the correct price, however. Hotel staff did. Find me a room at a considerable extra price- other than going home again I didn’t have much choice but to pay the extra fees

Hotel ideally situated for sightseeing, shopping

The refurbishment has improved the hotel. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. There was always table available. There was rarely any delay in getting a lift (elevator). Staff generally were courteous and helpful at all times. As an elderly couple, we were pleased there was no no noise or disturbance from neighbouring rooms. We had a first class television set.

We particularly enjoyed having a room overlooking the main square where all life was before us. Good shopping facilities all nearby. We had an interesting programme each day with excellent walks in the sunshine. A strolle along the Esplanaden is always memorable.

Great hotel for everything

I always stay here when I am in Helsinki. It's slightly fading, but this is what I like - it has soul. It's part of a chain, but doesn't feel like it. I love the excellent breakfast, the fact that the hotel is so central for restaurants, bars and sights.

There are renovations going on. 100 rooms are being added, the other rooms will eventually get upgraded and the reception area is getting a makeover.

I hope they stay with the spirit of the place.

In any case, I'll certainly be back.

Excellent location by Kammpi. Bars and restaurants on the doorstep yet with windows closed (there is air con) room is not at all noisy. Got a room overlooking the square so nice view. Early check in on arrival day and so room was available a few hours earlier than the official check in time. Also got a free 2 hours extension to check out of the departure day. Breakfast was good and the pool and sauna were great. The hotel lobby is lovely. The bar was closed for renovations though. Hotel generally a bit tired and you can see why it is being renovated. All hotel staff were extremely polite and helpful. The room was very clean upon our arrival but on day 2 they did not clean the room. We got clean towels and the bin was emptied but that was all...beds were not made, surfaces not wiped down, used drinking glasses not changed.

Nice location near so many places

Upon arrival I was informed that my unregistered room mate had already been given a room up at 872. So i could not have any choice but got to that room. Surprisingly the room was a bit old with toilet fixtures rusty making me not likely to get drinking water from it. The room was very warm even if outside temp was 16-20C. After two night stay I requested for a room change because the room was not cleaned properly and it was four correighdor from the elevator. The room in exchange was 698 which is much more cleaner than the 872. The night manager was very kind and compassionate to my complaints and arrange for the transfer the ff. Day. All in all the reception staff was most helpful and offered advice where to
Dine and many other inquiries. The check out was brief and easy. Breakfast was very good amiunt of choices.

Despite being a little bit dated, the hotel is still nice and some renovations appear to be happening. My room was spacious and comfortable. Good variety on offer for breakfast. Only thing missing from the bar was option to watch football as they don't have a satellite subscription. Other sports are shown if on cable TV. For such a big hotel and group, I think this should be considered. I would have stayed there and dined but instead had to head out to a sports bar. Minor detail but it's those little things that make it more comfortable.

Huone ja hotelli olivat siistit. En pitänyt siitä, että jos olisimme halunneet huoneen aikaisemmin (klo 13 klo 15 sijaan), siitä olisi veloitettu 50€ lisää! Ensivaikutelmasta tuli negatiivinen ja hotellista sai ahnean vaikutelman.
Aamiaisen tomaatit olivat aivan ylikypsiä ja munakokkeli maistui pahalta, ei varmasti tehty aidoista munista.
