Although the rooms were spacious and the gym was nice with great facilities, and convenient location, unfortunately the lobby and lift smelled like there was a sewerage leak which they have not rectified and could be smelled in the bathrooms. They did not seem to rectify the situation after a 3 night stay.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Metsari. The reception staff were welcoming, professional, and very knowledgeable, always happy to offer helpful local tips. As a solo queer traveler Metsari was amazing. The staff (knowledgeable and warm), room (balcony), location (central), and food (breakfast) was exceeded my expectations.

Constantine, Mariam and Sofia (reception) answered all my questions patiently, with offering helpful suggestions.

The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a great variety of fresh options in a relaxed, cozy setting. The facilities were clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully laid out, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere.

A very, well-run hotel with attentive service — I’d happily stay here again!!

Our spacious room is sound-insulated, making it incredibly quiet. Even with all the windows facing the atrium, we could barely hear anything. View is the restaurant on G/F and the public sitting area on 2/F.

The hotel is conveniently located near the Kamppi Helskini bus terminal, just a 7-minute walk away. The staff is friendly and helpful.

To access our room, we had to tap our room card in the lift. However, we were free to go up the stairs to the shared space on 2/F. When we checked out, we were given a guest card to store our luggage in a store room. Unfortunately, there were no further locks or lockers in the store rooms, so anyone with the luggage room card could access all the luggage. I think there may be some security issues here.

Despite these minor issues, we had a great 2-night stay at this hotel.

Comfortable, quiet, spacious, good breakfast

Stayed here for a few days and it was pretty flawless.

I'm a light sleeper - I need darkness and quiet. My room was lovely and quiet, and dark until mid-morning, so I was happy.

Bed was comfy. Room was well-designed for up to 2 people to stay without being too squishy.

Location is good - it's a short tram ride to the train station, and about a 15 minute walk to the harbour. Shopping centres are abundant within a 5-10 minute walk.

Service was typically Finnish; pleasant but austere.

Breakfast was delightful - huge range of options.

The gym was wel-equipped but can probably only accommodate a dozen people at peak times.

Honestly, I'd happily stay here again. And I'm normally pretty fussy.

Good hotel choice

Stylish hotel within 10 minute or so walk from Helsinki Central station. Check in was a breeze - very quick and friendly and helpful staff - we were given a room upgrade when checking in. Spacious and comfortable room with good bed and nice bathroom. Very good breakfast with plenty of coffee dispensers which is always a bonus in a busy breakfast room. Only slight downside was lack of storage space in the room. Also no bedside table - always handy when one wears glasses. Otherwise an excellent hotel and would definitely stay again if I was back in Helsinki.

A group of us stayed for a long weekend with our dogs. Excellent location for the centre of town. Some great restaurants around the area. Fabulous breakfast and simply outstanding staff nothing is too much. Highly recommend it. Traveling with a dog there is a dog park a 3 minute walk away. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely break in Helsinki

Hotel is very nice, lovely design with industrial features. Breakfast plenty of choice and very tasty.
Had a superior room with a balcony, which is basically a token outside space with only room for 1 chair and overlooking the roof. Bathroom very tasteful with overhead shower, only issue the metal shelf above the toilet so have to be careful not to bang your head, and the fan was constantly on. Lovely comfy bed and pillows. Room decor very tasteful too.
Issues mentioned only minor following an overall lovely stay and well positioned to wander down to the harbour.
Would recommend the hotel.

Hotel is newish and had an unusual smell - from the hallway carpet maybe? No closet or drawers for clothes in basic hotel room- it had some hangers. Room was not cleaned the first day- perhaps due to a miscommunication with the staff, but still. Breakfast was pretty good, but I had better elsewhere in Helsinki. Good central location but a bit far too walk with luggage from the central bus station.

Good hotel, sexist sauna policy

Well-located. Breakfasts are inclusive and there's a lot of choice, from fresh made smoothies to full cooked.
Bed was comfortable and room very clean.
Helpful staff.
My only gripe is with the management as regards sauna hours: men get to go early and late (pre and post work), women can only go in work hours. And considering most people staying there seemed to be on business, as I was, and there were plenty of women there besides me, I found this pretty offensive. So I never got to use the sauna. I discussed this with reception who said 'you're not the first woman who's made this complaint'. So why don't management change it?!

Didn't like: a. Stairs in room - I had a foot injury, so it made it a challenge to go up & down the stairs in the room, and also a safety risk going up/down in the dark to the shower/bathroom. b. Lack of proper desk/chair in room. The \"desk' was tiny, and the chair had no back, very uncomfortable. I had to ask housekeeping to lend a proper chair so I could use the desk to work. Thus, not really set up for a business traveler.

Otherwise, hotel was great, clean, good value and staff were wonderful.

Der Service und die Freundlichkeit aller Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter ist klasse.

Die Lobby, der Essbereich und die Zimmer sind sehr modern eingerichtet und machen einen hochwertigen Eindruck. Besonders das Bad ist hervorzuheben. Es stehen etliche Produkte (Body Lotion, Shampoo, Duschgel, Conditioner) von Rituals zur Verfügung.

Das Fitnessstudio im Keller ist ebenfalls gut ausgestattet.

Das Frühstück ist herausragend. Hier kommt jeder auf seine Kosten.

Ebenfalls bequem ist die Frühstückszeit von 07:30 Uhr bis 11:00 Uhr (wir waren an einem Sonntag dort) sowie der späte Check-Out bis 12:00 Uhr.

Alles in allem ist das Hotel zu empfehlen und bringt ein super Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis mit sich.

The hotel was clean and easy and in a perfect location to get anywhere. The shower and sink were large (a huge plus). The air conditioning worked great. Breakfast had a lot of options and was delicious. The only complaints I have are: 1. We couldn’t connect to the TV to watch what we wanted, even though it was offered, but we weren’t there to watch Netflix anyway. 2. The sauna hours were very limited, so difficult to take advantage of unless you purposely planned your day around it.

A perfect stay

Lovely hotel very close to the city centre. Safe, clean, and modern. Comfortable room and great bathroom. I booked the recommended room for \"solo travellers\" and found out that it was a standard one and did not provide any amenities (Reception asked me to pay £5 for room slippers!).
