It was very noisy in the room, from the walls and the air exchanger, I could hear the room next door. Thumps would wake me in the middle of the night at the internet didn’t work. It’s still a clean, affordable hotel in the city center, but this time I didn’t have a good experience.

Nice clean room, a bit small but very comfortable. The bathroom was very small, but ok for one person occupancy. The staff were great, and very helpful when I needed to borrow an adaptor for the plug.
I may be a bit unfair knocking off a star for value for money as this is Helsinki and I know prices are high. But it’s the smallest room I’ve ever had to pay over €100 for.
Overall though it’s a nice place, great location and staff.

Close to public transportation, lines, and within walking distance of many of the sites of downtown Helsinki, which was a bonus. The hotel itself shares a building with other businesses in the same set of flats - which is odd, it was not a problem in terms of the stay.

Great central location, but well insulated from noise. Very convenient for getting around. The room was lovely and spacious, had a kettle and fresh coffee was available at reception. Luggage storage after checkout was very useful. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. If visiting Helsinki again I would gladly stay at Hotel Finn again and would recommend it to anyone.

Very central, with only a 5min walk from central station, theres 3/4 bars located at the base of the property which open til 3am 4am on weekends, so can be a little noisey in the early hours.
The room i had was a single room, very nice, The room had a kettle, but you have to go down to reception to collect coffee/tea/sugar, milk etc, which was a pain because i was on the 6th floor 😆
I feel a selection could be left in each room?
Otherwise it was perfect and id definitely stay here again.

Another 'light touch' hotel with partially reception cover, sad to see this cost cutting so often. A good sized room and clean. Beds were fairly comfortable.

Biggest gripe was that the heating is inadequate for the size of the room. Duvets are too thin. So it was never comfortably warm. This is bizzare for Finland!
Its great to have a kettle in the room but the tea, coffee, milk etc is in reception, which didnt open until 9am and closed by 8pm.
All in all, not a bad choice for when temperatures get above freezing.

Small rooms on fifth and sixth floor. Very convenient location, but limited space in the room if you have more than a small amount of baggage. However you can keep extra belongings in lockers in the hall if necessary.

Great location. Room was spacious, comfortable and minimalist but all the necessary amenities available. The hotel rooms occupy the 5th and 6th floors of a commercial Art Deco renovated building. There isn't a lobby just a reception/check in area where complimentary coffee and tea and hot water is provided when reception is open (it is not open 24 hours).

The room was okay. We were only provided with 1 small square pillow each. There was a kettle in the room but no mugs to use with it. The bathroom had poor ventilation which meant it became very muggy anytime we showered and at times smelly. The TV only had local channels, most of which were not in English or were not working at all. It was handy having access to free lockers for storage of our bags on checkout day. The location was good too, walkable to lots of good restaurants.

Basic hotel room, clean and quiet. The 2 receptionists we talked to were knowledgeable and had excellent English, and very welcoming. We walked most places. Hotel is close to an Irish Pub which was noisy on the street but not our room. We used the lockers after checking out so we could keep exploring the city before taking a train to the airport at night. Close walk to railway station but cobblestones make it a bit tricky with suitcases.

Basic but Ok hotel.

Basic but fine hotel if you need to stay in the City Centre. The room was comfortable and clean. Sound proofing not great between rooms though. Friendly reception that only opens until late evening. Overall, it fits perfectly for a stopover as opposed to a hotel that has 24 hour service, lobby area and dining. You won't get those. Great storage lockers if you are not leaving until late and wish to hang out and explore Helsinki after you've checked out.

Hotel is conveniently located near Central Station, shopping malls and eateries. Firstly, it is located near Old Irish Pub which can be quite noisy even though windows are double glazed. I could hear the shouting as the pub screens the football match. Secondly, it is located on a slope. The uphill battle to drag luggages on a rather rough cobbled stone path. Lastly, we were given a shower area which was about 65cm by 65cm complete with shower curtains. Because of the small area, the shower curtain tends to stick to your body when you are showering. It is quite irritating, so the only way to shower is not to use the shower curtains instead.

Just a few blocks from Central Station if arriving by train. Lots of Tram stops and restaurants nearby. Room was awkward shaped and bathroom was very small, but super clean and beds were comfortable. The bag storage in the hotel is easy and helpful.

The hotel is in an excellent location, just around 5 minutes walk from Central train station and there is a tram station with a few minutes walk. Most of the attraction can be reach around 10-15 minute with tram. The hotel staffs are nice and the room is comfortable with reasonable size.
The only downside is the toilet bowl is close to walls which using the toilet feels uncomfortable.

A good hotel experience overall. Staff was friendly, room was clean, and the location is really great. Upon arrival the room wasn’t ready but they stored our bags for us and got us into a room as early as they could. The location is close to train station and metro for easy way around the city. The only feedback would be to bring your own shampoo/soap/etc as the hotel didn’t have any. We also had a floor heater that didn’t work, but the room was warm enough. Good hotel for price and convenience.

Clean and functional. It’s not managed like a regular hotel- it’s a floor of hotel rooms in a multi-function building -but it works out fine. The elevator is definitely small. The location is excellent, in the middle of a busy downtown area with plenty of restaurants, easy access to the train station and not too far from the harbor.

Hotel Finn is one of those places that I have walked past probably dozens of times over the many trips to Helsinki that I have taken for business in the past 12 years. It is so well-situated, and so discreet, and in pandemic times a blessing, as there are so few people whom you would encounter. The vibe is just right, too: the rooms are well-appointed and the staff is professional. And location, location, location - you are met by a downhill view of Stockmann and are next door to my favorite restaurant in Helsinki: Kosmos.

This was a great location just a few blocks from the train station. It is close to eating establishments and within walking distance to the harbor and the daily market. It is convenient to shopping and sightseeing. The beds were comfortable the the heated floor of the bathroom was a nice feature on a chilly evening. The rooms were basic but it had everting we needed. I did find it odd that the bathroom did not have and outlet for the provided hairdryer and the outlet next to the mirror in the room did not function. But overall it was a pleasant stay.

Location was good except the car not able to drive in so must carry your luggage with a short walk to the hotel, ground floor is hotel reception, 5th & 6th floor is the hotel room whereby 2nd-4th floor like a office, downstairs quite a few bars that ppl drinking every night but not an issue, hotel provided very basic amenities, if hotel can provide a small fridge will be better, the hotel also have a locker that you can lock your luggage after check out, overall quite comfortable, the price for a single room was slightly expensive, will consider to stay again when I’m back if the price is not so expensive.

Inexpensive and great location, middle of town.
Not so good, there is no A/C, so only option was to sleep window open. However the downstairs bars close around 2 or so,Yrjönkatu side got stupid loud due to drunken screaming. If you can sleep windows closed, should not be a big deal. However overall good and clean place, cannot beat the price. Or location.
