Delicious breakfast and friendly staff. Not a deal breaker, but would have been nice to have a Sauna on property.

The management of this stylish and elegant hotel has lost sight of their industry, which is HOSPITALITY. When we arrived late, tired and hungry after a long walk from the train station with our luggage, the desk clerk had few ideas of where we might dine and gave us a hard upsell for a bigger room with a Nespresso coffeemaker for an additional 30 euros a night, which we declined since 30 euros pays for a lot of nice coffees and pastries at some very elegant cafes. He also pressed us to sign up for the Strawberry loyalty program, which I regretted almost immediately since he required all kinds pf personal information—passport number, phone, dob, etc. When we returned from dinner around 2 hours later, I told the new desk clerk I’d changed my mind and asked for my form back and for my data to be deleted. He seemed annoyed and said he couldn’t do that because the form was locked up but that someone would do it tomorrow. No one followed up with me, and on returning home I received an email from Strawberry about how great it is that I signed up for the loyalty program. Crummy service like this is unacceptable from a hotel that markets and charges as luxury. And the coffeemaker? Nespresso should be in every room and if you don’t think you’re making enough profit, just increase all your rates by 5 euros a night. Providing crummy instant coffee in the not quite as extremely expensive rooms, like ours, is tacky and unworthy of this extremely expensive hotel.

Great, clean, and centrally located hotel in the Design District! The neighborhood is fantastic, with really great restaurants and shopping nearby. The breakfast is excellent, and parking is conveniently close by. The only issue was that the carpet in both the lobby and the room needed a deep clean. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this hotel!
gerald
The breakfast was excellent and the staff for breakfast was so accommodating. Had some good gluten free options. Easy walking to everything and many fine restaurants nearby. Large room made it all even better.
Jennifer
Ideally located, big comfy rooms, varied breakfast
Kathaleen
The room was wonderful. Beautifully and thoughtfully designed with all our needs considered. Loved it!
Jennifer
My stay didn’t start great as the man who checked me in gave me very vague and unhelpful instructions to get to my room which included stairs with a heavy suitcase and no assistance.
Other staff I spoke to after both at reception and the courtyard bar were very kind and helpful
Lovely room, very big, beautifully decorated, big bathroom and very comfy bed.
The entrance door to the corridor slammed so hard my bed vibrated waking me up several times during the nights including 3am when I had a 5am wake up.
Paid extra for a king bed room however it was just 2 single mattresses put together but with no topper on so I couldn’t sleep in the middle so effectively had a single bed, which would have been a lot cheaper.
Couldn’t even provide a double duvet
WiFi was very weak, only connected by the room door but dropped out by the bed
A generally pleasant stay but was expecting a little more finesse for the price

Love their breakfast buffet! It’s huge and a fantastic variety, you can stay there for a week and have something different every morning. Great courtyard Bar and Lounge when the wry is sunny. Location is right in old town, walking distance to many attractions. Unique property as this was the old Police Station before the huge renovation. This is my second time staying and I highly recommend this hotel.
Tina

Had a wonderful three day stay in this beautiful location, walking to visit, museums, and special architecture
Borrowed the bicycles one day and ate at the restaurant a couple of times. Just a wonderful, comfortable design centered, small friendly hotel.

Stayed in 2 x Lux rooms with the family over the Easter weekend. Rooms were an excellent size for a city hotel. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and had a drink in the bar. Food and cocktails were excellent and service was also of a very high standard. Breakfast was also of a very high standard, with barista coffees made to order. The hotel is in a good location; a short walk to the city centre and ferry to islands. The area itself is full of cafes, restaurants and boutique shops. Would definitely return should we visit Helsinki again.
Jennifer
We arrived without our suitcases and they were able to accommodate us with toiletries and a power converter plug. Very nice staff we were also able to get into our room early for $50
Tara
Great location, nice rooms with big bathrooms and nice beds. Great breakfast spread.
Jacob

The hotel is well placed for a central stay, its clean and welcoming, the room we stayed in (420) was spacious with an excellent shower. The bar and restaurant well stocked and have knowledgeable friendly staff. The breakfast is extensive, catering to all, with an excellent variety on offer. The reception staff are super helpful, friendly and speak excellent English. All in all an amazing stay.
Jari-Pekka
Staff was polite, hotel and room very clean. However small thing, but the TV was placed in the wall alongside with the bed so that it was not visible from bed. Also the room telephone light was so bright i had to cover it when trying to sleep as it light the whole room
Adam
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend staying here!
Jani
Very pleasant stay - friendly staff and nice breakfast. Reception does get a little crowded at times, but I suppose that’s to be expected in smaller properties.
Mallory
Wonderful hotel in the heart of Helsinki! Roberto at the front desk was extremely helpful as well with our stay.
Jennifer
The vibe was AMAZING and loved the decor. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend. Breakfast was delicious too

Hotel Lilla Roberts is a beautiful boutique hotel, perfectly located within walking distance of almost everything. Its central location makes it incredibly convenient for exploring the city while still feeling refined and relaxed.
The rooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable — the overall atmosphere of the hotel is stylish and welcoming.
Breakfast was decent, though not the best we’ve experienced. The selection was somewhat limited in certain areas — for example, there were only a few egg options available. That said, the overall quality was good and the setting was lovely.
Overall, a very charming stay in a fantastic location.

The hotel is nice but it is a little bit complicated, because two different buildings are connected and walking you the luggage is hard. The bar is nice and breakfast buffet was fantastic.
Seppo

Great room and location. Very good breakfast
Marjo Tiina
The breakfast is always excellent with a wide variety of food of a very good quality. The service is efficient and polite. I noticed though, that a Finnish speaking customer couldn't order in Finnish as the waiter didn't speak Finnish and the customer didn't speak English.
Jafar
Very poor breakfast and service!
Sanjay
Everything was perfect, right from the reception to the room. The staff was very courteous.
Matthew
Friendly, central, welcoming.
Rachel
Great breakfast, good location but not quite central, but not far from anything
anne
We had a great stay at this Helsinki hotel, which has a fun, eclectic vibe that blends clean Nordic design with creative, quirky touches, making it feel stylish and full of personality. The biggest highlight is the breakfast and central location. The room was comfortable, thoughtfully laid out, and quiet at night, and the staff were friendly and helpful. If you want a walkable, right-in-the-middle-of-everything base with a distinct atmosphere, this place is an easy recommendation.
Jorge
Everything was perfect

Had an amazing time with my family here! Comfy beds and excellent service and a grocery store across the street. Fresh towels every day were expected but much appreciated. They charge for everything you consume in the fridge.

Great location and a good restaurant. The staff even put together a ‘to-go’ breakfast bag for my early check out!
Ana
Excellent breakfast, beautiful and comfortable room! We were rather negatively surprised by tge cleaning, as if it had been done in a hurry, they even left a cleaning cloth in the bathroom!

The best breakfast buffet! Friendly and accommodating staff; very clean room and excellent amenities. During our stay, it was close to Superterassi event area which was a great experience to be with the locals. Overall, it was a great choice to stay at Hotel Lilla Roberts & for the price…it was worth it.
Kevin John

We arrived very late, around midnight. The lobby attendant let us in and checked us in quickly and efficiently. She was very friendly and answered our questions in perfect English.
The room was spacious and had everything we needed, including robes and slippers.
We enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was filled with fresh local specialties.
The hotel is within 5/10 minute walk from the harbor and many things to see. Great location!
A definite good choice in Helsinki! I will return!

Lux room was fabulous and absolutely “lux”. Hotel was in a great location. Staff helpful and friendly. Only drawback was early closing of restaurant and bar and no late night food options in house.
Philip
Fantastic comfortable hotel
Hotel located in the design district. Well located for main shops. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. The hotel was in immaculate condition. Loved the umbrella rental for the rainy days.

A beautiful hotel right in the heart of Helsinki. Very close to the waterfront and all the main attractions.

Windows don’t open- even a little. The air only goes down to 21.5- which you wouldn’t need if you could crack a window. Coffee machines only available in deluxe rooms. No coffee
Daniel

Weekend Away
Great hotel. Loved the format of our room. Staff really helpful. Breakfast was high quality. Just be aware that Helsinki pretty much closes on a Sunday.
Alexa
Staff were lovely, and breakfast very good, but the room was dingy and over priced.
Eric
Good but not great
It was good but central heating didn't work.
I asked for them to fix it and they saud there was no maintenance available so they sent an electric heater which just ended up drying the air. No comfortable nights sleep.

Daria
Fantastic place
Ann
Good location & fine for B&B Restaurant not available for 3 of 5 nights of our stay Similarly bar only occasionally open Management clearly focussed on saving money - skeleton staff on a Sunday when law requires higher pay Existing staff are delightful & do their best but this place does not live up to previous ratings
Taylor
Overall, excellent hotel.
Will definitely go back if returning to Helsinki.
