Beautiful luxury hotel in great location.. Nicely decorated room. Interesting art and pretty bar. Very good breakfast unfortunately their restaurant was not open on a Monday night which was day we were there. They were kind enough to let us check in early after arriving on early boat from Stockholm.

We stayed at St George last year in the Atelier Studio with balcony and thought this was absolutely the best hotel in Helsinki. This year we booked the same room expecting the same quality but got one facing the back with basically views of walls. The balcony was a miserable little one. Not once did we step onto it. When we asked to change at reception it was obviously not possible because every room was full. The woman at reception said ”if the balcony is important to you make sure you request one with a view”. Well, given that we paid quite a lot of extra to have the balcony, that would be evident! So yes, this hotel is very nice, just be careful with your room choice! We felt ripped off and probably won’t return

Best breakfast buffet we have ever had in a hotel. Hotel centrally located. Staff is exceptional. Room is large quiet and comfortable. Bathroom has a walk in shower, great shampoo and body wash, Japanese toilet.
Sauna, steam, pool, massage were great! Gym is a little small.
Would book again in a heart beat.

Excellent spa and bar. Unfortunately the buffet breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. Very little options for a sweet tooth and if there is a queue to enter you get told to go to their bakery for additional price.

Centrally located hotel with easy access to all amenities within the city. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Breakfast was also fantastic with great service.
We also enjoyed the spa but watch out for the slippery floor/take some flipflops.
We ate in the Thai restaurant and enjoyed the food though the menu was quite limited compared to eating a Thai in the UK. Staff pushed the expensive banquet option quite hard but we struck with a la carte. We didn't feel the evening staff in the restaurant were as professional as the rest of the hotel staffing.

We had an excellent stay at Hotel St. George. We stayed in a Serenity Studio room which was a good size and had a lovely bathroom with a rain shower and underfloor heating. We had breakfast included which had a good mix of food as well as spa access which we’d recommend. You book slots to use the spa which meant it was never too busy. Hotel was in a great location and it had everything we needed and more. We’d definitely stay again.

Exceeded all expectations!

I didn't know to expect. Trudged in after 27 hours travelling to Helsinki. Every single person was exceptional throughout my entire stay. The room was spacious, felt comfortable without being pretentious. Allison at the front desk had 3 solutions for any problem I encountered. Her ideas far exceeded my expectations. And the Thai restaurant? Food like no other. Come to the St. George in Helsinki. You will be so pleased you did.

“Serenity” rooms were not soundproof as stated online and you could hear all the noise coming up from the streets below. Staff recommended to make a reservation for breakfast and spa yet when you arrived, there was no reservation, but first come first serve basis. For 400 € per night there are plenty of great options close by.

A true 5 star hotel. Rooms are very sophisticated with excellent lighting, storage and amenities. The room was spacious with comfy beds. The buffet breakfast is absolutely amazing. Reception staff and restaurant staff were all wonderful, we had brilliant cocktails in the Wintergarden bar, and a great coffee at the bakery. The spa is brilliant - sauna, steam room, ice bath and plunge pool - very luxurious. The gym is well equipped with cardio equipment and weights.

Unjustified 5 star hotel, 3 would be more like it

I’ve no clue why this hotel is rated 5 stars. The rooms are average at best. The room service was the worst I’ve ever had. Pillows were uncomfortable. Granted, we were subjected to COVID restrictions that ruined the pool & sauna experience for us regardless of the hotel but the massage we’ve managed to snag was below par as well. Really nothing to write home about.

Fantastic Hotel.

This hotel was fantastic. Located centrally, so walking was easy to all of downtown. The rooms was spacious and very comfortable. We had a corner unit on the second floor which was large and very quite. Didn't hear any road noise. Had a huge bathtub and nice shower. The soda stream in the room was a nice touch. The bar made really good drinks, but service was spotty. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Hotel is \"new\" modern & slick. It is perfectly located within walking distance to \"everything\"
A good - modest restaurant, a superb Bakery. a friendly & efficient front and reception desk staff.
We experienced some minor issues with house keeping, as far as fresh towels, and getting the room & bed made up in a timely fashion.
Once they were notified, they responded. but ...........

The bed was comfortable, the lighting was exceptionally placed and easy to control, the bathrooms were beautiful and modern with all the little things thought of (i.e. a toothbrush or comb if needed, actual spa soaps, conditioners, etc, warmed tile floors), and the place just had style. Get the breakfast included, trust me on this. All of the meals would be Instagram worthy.

New, clean, fabulous hotel in Helsinki centre!

Brand new (2018) hotel in the centre of Helsinki - wonderful! Rooms are clean and spacious and it's centrally located nearby the railway station and within walking distance of most of the sites. Staff were all very helpful and friendly and the room even has a Sodastream! The spa area is lovely - very clean with lovely pool/sauna area. The pool itself is quite small....not ideal for lap swimming (but there's always Allas Sea Pool!). Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Fantastic hotel and staff

The Hotel St George is perfect for business or pleasure. Centrally located, just 10 mins walk from the harbor and near the shops and restaurants. The breakfast was superb with a great selection of fresh fruit. Excellent room and the staff were incredibly helpful and nice. Can thoroughly recommend staying here.

Lovely hotel

Great, modern hotels with a lovely spa for indulgence. Everything is walking distance to main sights too. The rooms are small but are decorated nicely and have everything you need for a weekend getaway. Lots of thought has gone to the design and decor of the hotel.

Everything was perfect except the carpets in the hall way leading to rooms, they appears really old and doesn't look good. If that can be changed, St George would be perfect!

The place to stay...!

A really nice hotel in a very good location of Helsinki for shops, restaurants etc.
Staff very polite and friendly. The Bakery is superb serving freshly baked bread, cakes and sandwiches + they have a very good choice of drinks and other healthy snacks. Would recommend. Room service is very good; unfortunately there is no in room kettle etc so I ordered pot of tea in the mornings which came with 2 delicious scones! The Wintergarden room is the place to go for a drink in the evening lovely surroundings and excellent choice of drinks and food. Would definitely stay at the hotel again and recommend it!

Fantastic Stay

Gorgeous and comfortable hotel, though the room was small it was very well laid out. Front desk staff service was impeccable, warm and friendly. Bar staff seemed more inexperienced but they were trying! Only downsides were the lack of a coffee maker in our room, and the lack of blackout blinds meaning we couldn’t sleep in.

We really enjoyed staying at Hotel St. George, it is very conveniently located, beautiful building and interior, friendly and lovely staff and amazing breakfast! The room was a little bit dusty as if the room had not been used for a while but the amenities in the room were great and it was good to have Sodastream. We would definitely stay here again but next time we would like to try the bigger room :)

Top quality hotel in Helsinki

This hotel is superb in every aspect. The staff are most welcoming and attentive. It is quite clear that customer service is paramount at this hotel. Such a lovely building with beautiful features - there is a high level of attention to detail in the hotels and rooms.

Excellent location, easy walk to local attractions.

The breakfast was high quality and a great start to the day. In fact we noticed people from outside of the hotel dining there for breakfast.

Great location and facilities in a charming old building that has been recently renovated. The bathroom was luxurious - with a large and deep bath as well as a rain shower and a toilet with a bidet seat.
Breakfast is excellent too and best of all, friendly and attentive staff.
