A beautiful hotel, the layout takes reference to the old offices of this old admin building for the Helsinki railway, the decor is fantastic. The room is well appointed, again the decor is to the highest level. The only draw back is the entrance, as it was difficult to climb the front stairs with luggage - this needs to be addressed

Location and service excellent. A few minuses: breakfast very crowded and some mornings you had to wait for a table; the hotel phone system didn't work, you scan a QR code to be connected to the reception, but they can't hear you; in our first room the bathroom basin leaked, in the second the shower door didn't close properly, and seal between the shower and the rest of the bathroom was not safe, and water leaked through.

A practical choice, but very commercial - every interaction with staff involved upselling (€20 if I wanted to check in early, “I can do you a deal” to upgrade the room, €20 to check out late). Not the staff’s fault, it’s clearly a company policy, but did not feel at all welcoming - it was clearly you are a customer, not a guest.

Wow! What a beautiful property! Totally restored, early 20th Century (my guess) hotel. Close to the main railroad station, but well away from pedestrian and street traffic. Easy walking to the harbor and all of the major tourist attractions in Helsinki, as well as to the major shopping promenade. Plenty of restaurant options within a five to ten minute walk. What makes this property especially wonderful is the size of the rooms (largest we've ever had in Europe), and the perfect decor. We would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Helsinki for any reason. Once you get off the elevator and start walking down the corridor to your room, you'll understand why we're so enthusiastic.

A historic building converted into a hotel. A great location directly next to the train station which provides easy access to the city and a few minute walk to market square. My room was modern, comfortable and I liked the bed too. My only disappointments were the lack of signage directing guests to the ramp which I s located to the left of the main entrance and the breakfast. The breakfast looks appealing but it consists of strange combinations of salads and breakfast foods. The buffet needs more fruits and some yogurt.

A well-located, central hotel with excellent access to the train station. While the stay was good, a few small improvements would make a big difference: providing complimentary tea or coffee in the room, offering a water refill station, and having the staff provide a bit more helpful information at check-in.

The hotel was centrally located and within easy walking distance of most everything in the city. The room was spacious and well-equipped with amenities. Only criticism I would have is that breakfast was meant to be from 6.30 until 9.30 - please consider changing this to 10 but also many food options had already gone and not replenished when I got down for breakfast at 9 am.

The property was okay ,clean ,staff were nice and helpful but I think you should have aBell Boy to help with the luggages especially with Seniors that stayed longer.I observed most people stayed there for only 1 - 2 nights for meetings / Conference and has only I or 2 small luggages, what about others that has more luggages ?
Check out our daughter has to go downstairs to get luggage trolley so we can put all our luggages at one time
In addition, our room was comforble except no drawers to put our stuff .
Drawers were located so high up that you need a stool to get your things if you decide to put away your things.

Although the hotel is rated 4 star, but the room amenities were very basic, even don’t have a simple coffee machine, only instant coffee with no kettle was provided. We booked our stay with breakfast included. However on our departure day, due to morning ferry departure we won’t be able to enjoy the breakfast at scheduled times in the hotel, a lady at the front desk said no worries, they could pack the breakfast for us to take out which is quite common practice for many hotels. However their promises were not materialized on our departure date. After completing our checkout, asking for our breakfast packages, they just pointed to their snack bar and said you can pick a sandwich and a cup of coffee for each person from the bar, without providing a bag and coffee cup holder to carry these items, we were shocked! We would not book again for next time in the area although the hotel is located in the middle of the city, walking distance to many highlighting sights.

Great location in central Helsinki right next to the train station which was perfect for my trip. Restaurant was a bit expensive and I do wish breakfast was an amenity - I went elsewhere each morning. Another downfall was being charged 30 euros for checking in early. After traveling for 20 hours I just needed to lie down and take a shower. I arrived at the hotel 2 hours before the published check in time and even though my room was ready you still get charged. I’ve never had that happen before

Quite a nice hotel - with a couple of issues.

No phone in the room - when I tried to call them to get a password for the internet on my mobile it rang out - so a walk down to the front desk that should have been offered at the outset - or on a sign or card in the room. No tissues in the bathroom - the cleaners neglected to refresh the tea bag supply or wash the cups. Little things that add up to an ordinary review.

On the upside the shower was great, the bed comfortable and the sauna a delight.
