Excellent stay at Hotel Fabian. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the hotel was very clean with a nice design. The room was spacious modern and clean and the bed was very comfortable I just would have preferred one large double duvet rather than two single duvets and the shower pressure was a little low but nothing major. The breakfast was delicious and the hotel is in a great location. Overall I had an excellent stay and would stay again if I return to Helsinki.

A real gem of a hotel! Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff courteous, and in a perfect location for shopping, restaurants, ferries and the Market Hall. The buffet breakfast was always fresh and tasty, with more than adequate choice.

we had the spacious and very beautiful lux room, which has a kitchenette, a dining table and chairs, and upholstered seating like a living room. AND the most comfortable bed ~ everything was perfect. the front desk staff is outstanding ~ they were so generous and accommodating with information and anything else we needed. breakfast staff is really welcoming and friendly; it was a pleasure to see their smiling faces each morning. i checked out over 50 properties online; choosing which one was difficult among so many excellent options, but i am delighted we ended up at hotel fabian for our 10-day stay in helsinki.

No sauna which I was surprised about seeing how there is one in nearly every house in Finland. 5min walk to the esplanade and waterfront and closest tram stop. Would stay here again. Only issue, I couldn’t pair the TV with my phone to access my own Netflix.

There were many niggles with the bedroom that should not have been there. Some were immediately cleared others required work around as maintenance was not available during the 3 nights of our stay.
It is a boutique hotel with no kitchen to speak of. Breakfast is plentiful,hot food is limited to what can be prepared before you. e.g. croissants, crepes and pains au chocolat from frozen put into the oven alongside the buffet You are required to reserve a 45 minute slot for your party to have breakfast from the buffet.

My travelling companion and I rate this hotel very high and recommend it without hesitation. I would consider this as a boutique hotel yet one that was very reasonably priced. This was the best hotel I stayed at on my three week, 4-country Scandinavian vacation. The rooms were modern, very veal and very spacious. The entire hotel had a very nice personal and “homey” feel to it.

Best of all was the staff, the front desk staff in particular. Emmi, Mats and Julia simply could not have been more kind, friendly, gracious or helpful. Nothing was a bother and they all went above and beyond. For example, one day we had an early morning departure for an all-day excursion. I only mentioned this in passing and yet without any prompting at all, Emmi asked if I would perhaps enjoy an early morning coffee and “take-away” breakfast or have a singular early sitting for breakfast. All this so we would not miss out on a breakfast that was provided with our rooms. Not many front desk staff personnel I’ve encountered have been that proactive or anticipate that well and I travel a lot!

Well done Hotel Fabian! It is not surprising you are a multiple-time Trip Advisor Award winner.

First time Helsinki visitors, we chose Hotel Fabian and were happy with our selection. Property is about 3-4 easy blocks from the harbor and Esplanade, on a quiet side street across from the Defense Dept. (Everything is quiet in Helsinki :) )
There's a supermarket, Hesberger chain, and a restaurant within one block. Ten minute (or less) walk to Punavuori with plenty of places to eat and chill. Helsinki is super-walkable and easy!
The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast good but not exceptional. Hot water plentiful. I could do without the overwhelming incense thing in the bathroom.
Staff was kind and not obtrusive. Would recommend!

This is a great hotel in Helsinki that offers excellent service with excellent rooms. The room was spacious, clean, well lit and included a kitchenette and also an iron and ironing board. A healthy breakfast was included as well. The location is very quiet but within walking distance of several sites. When traveling further, the tram is easily accessible as it is approximately 3 blocks away. In the future I would gladly stay here again.

The outside of the hotel is very unassuming but the rooms are wonderful! We booked the luxury room and it was huge. There was a derogate living area, table and kitchenette. My room was quiet, spacious and comfortable. I stayed 4 nights there, and am very happy I chose Hotel Fabian. The hotel's in a good location, very walkable, and in a very safe area. I felt completely safe as a single woman traveling alone. Breakfast was delicious and something I looked forward to each morning. Staff were friendly and helpful. My only critique would be there is not a coffee maker or electric kettle in the room. On reflection I should have inquired at the front desk, as they were really helpful. Overall very happy stay.

Stay was great and a good place to explore the city walking distance to the habour and boats to the islands. Hotel in a peaceful location and easy to get about on foot or by tram. Hotel is nice, fairly self sufficient. Breakfast was great and fresh, though its a bit of a tight squeeze in the morning trying get around the kitchen area! Our room was nice though the ac didn't work for a few days so they opened the windows for us which was ok! Its quite a compact hotel with a small reception area. Overall nice hotel and very chill.

At the time of booking, it would’ve been nice to know that there was construction opposite the hotel.
The elevator is completely black and very uninviting.
The air-conditioning in our room did not work whatsoever. In fact it got hotter the longer we stayed there. The breakfast was very good.
The staff were helpful As much as they could be to try to fix our air-conditioning, but it didn’t work regardless. The front desk staff also were very helpful in directing us where things were.

Good location and nice decor. However, I was completely unable to sleep due to the always-on HVAC system that runs at around 50db even when turned fully off on the panel in the room. Either it is malfunctioning and needs repair or should be replaced completely.

I can tolerate a certain level of ventilation noise but this was ridiculous.

Good bread and butter, meats, fresh fruit, oatmeal, eggs, smoothie, etc. My room was cute and quiet. Easy walk to shopping and restaurants. Street and garage parking nearby were pretty pricey but I think that’s common for the area. Probably easy to take public transportation here as well. Highly recommend and hope to be back soon!
