Not a hotel, its an apt building...Pic on website have someone at the front desk, no one there.. they send you a code i hour before check in, very misleading, it work for some not my type of place. Ended up at the Holiday Inn.

This hotel is a really good value. House keeping staff and the young men who work on the property are wonderful. This message is for the management team and that is you have such a good hotel but why did you put in the cheapest pillows money can buy? All good hotels offer at least one soft pillow and one hard pillow. Please make this change. Those pillows are the worst and so people have to stack their clothes underneath to get a decent night sleep. Make this change, it’s an inexpensive fix, and your hotel is well on the way to being near the top.

I absolutely love these apartments and this is the second time that I have stayed here.
On the day I arrived I received a text telling me which room I was staying in along with a code to access the building.
I was in room 906 which is on the top floor.
These apartments are so secure that you have to put the code in at the front gate if it is locked, the front door to gain access then the door leading to the corridor that your room is on and finally to get into the room. So no one can keep walk in off the street so to speak.
It is on a great location with a K Market across the road and just a 10-15 minutes walk to the city centre.
There is plenty of cafes around the apartments and I recommend the Heritage Cafe their hot chocolate is amazing and they also have a good selection of pastries.
The trams are also near with the 7T and the number 9 stopping just around the corner.
There is weekly cleaning of your room and you get a clean set of towels.
I would stay here again the next time I go to Helsinki.

Forenom Kamppi is a great location. You can access many areas of central Helsinki from this place. The rooms are functional. Good for a place to rest after your days out. There are many options nearby for eating. Interactions with staff are good.

This is the first time I have stayed in these apartments. I stayed in the ones in Rovaniemi owned by the same company so I knew what to expect.
They are on a quiet street which is only a ten minute walk from the centre of Helsinki.
There is a small supermarket across the road and plenty of coffee shops in the area so you can enjoy the great choice of cakes.
I would stay here again when I visit Helsinki.

Bad:

Really DO NOT stay in here if you want to sleep well. You can not open the windows and get fresh hair because there are no window handles. There is a hole in the ceiling which blows air and it makes the room super dry. In the morning I woke up with red eyes and nose stuffed. Horrible experience and could not sleep because of this.

Morning also I woke up many times when people were banging the doors since the soundproof is not good.

Very difficult check in process. You need to do the check in by sending ID and face pics or with Finland online proof ways. It is very difficult and takes time.

Good: there was free instant coffee in room, wifi was decent, location is great, hot water in shower, toilet works, towel was clean.

First the positives:
1) The location is excellent
2) The kettle was clean
3) Quiet - the sound proofing is excellent

Then the negatives:

The room was dirty, layers of dust on every surface. Stains on the ceiling and door frames above the eye level. The bathroom door was full of holes hastily patched, looking like someone had discharged a shotgun at it. The armchair looked like it hadn't been cleaned since 1970s, I couldn't take a risk sitting on it. No instructions on what to do prior to vacating the room, e.g. to take out the rubbish or where to take it! In the toilet, the brush bowl was half-filled with water, excrement from previous use floating on the top.

The beds are suitable for children only, about 2' wide; turn and you fall off. The pillows were not only tiny squares, but also so thin that you might as well use folded towel for one. Even by piling both on top of each other they barely were thick enough to sleep on. I ended up using the spare blanket underneath to make a bearable \"pillow\".

The cooking facilities are inside a cabinet that felt like it was bought from Ikea sale. Only way to wash any dishes is in the bathroom washbasin.

A trolley full of dirty linen was left in the middle of the stairway landing overnight making the whole landing smell rank.

Great location to be able to walk all over Helsinki and close to public transportation. The water is nice and \"sanitation hot\" for the dishes, and the laundry machines did a nice job too. There were the unescapable city noises outside and the front of the hotel is very \"inner city urban\", but the inside is well kept, clean, and one feels safe. A good portion of Helsinki has a sort of Blade Runner vibe to it as it loses it \"old European architecture charm\" to brutalist and boring boxes architecture \"to cheer people through the long dark winters\". So the \"outside look of the hotel is the norm for Helsinki\". I think it would assist alleviating the winter depression problems if they went back to making more charming, visually uplifting architecture or at least painting the gray things more bright cheerful colors. \"The stoic modern brutalist\" stuff affects one soul with the long dark, cold survival months.

Positives: very clean-spotless, quiet, easy to get into property, cutlery microwave fridge freezer in room and large desk/mirror. Good location walking distance to centre and harbour / cafes

Negatives: could not complete online check in with the website link prior to stay -could only do this once had landed in Finland one hour before arriving at hotel however once in Finland check in was certified very quickly. No reception at property and did not see any staff at all. Room was extremely hot and the windows did not open/no air conditioning so slept badly every night, bed consists of no mattress but a mattress topper which was just about good enough, room has a fridge which made the room really hot

Nice secure efficiency within 5 minute walk to Kamppi and 10 minute walk to the central railway station. Interesting restaurants and a K-market close-by.
The unit did not have a sink, but it had a fridge, microwave and cutlery and cups, and kettle. Would have been nice to be able to open a window in the evenings. Otherwise no complaints.

Small step above going to a hostel

Initially unable to access hotel and was locked outside in the snow for over an hour. Rooms were not as nice as shown online. No heat/cooling control, room was routinely between 75-80 degrees ferenheit and couldn't even open the windows. Tiny bathroom that was oddly elevated from rest of room so showering would cause water to leak out of bathroom. The only positive was the location. Nice area of the city within two blocks of any metro option you wanted to take you anywhere you want to go in the city.

This is a functional, comfortable, convenient and cheap place to stay in the centre of Helsinki. Access was by code, which didn't arrive immediately, perhaps not until I removed a spurious 0 from the start of the country code for my phone number. Room had a fridge, microwave, kettle and crockery/cutlery, but no provisions such as coffee sachets, but there's a small supermarket around the corner that's open until 10pm and sells nice croissants etc for breakfast. There was a nice desk but it would have benefited from having a desk lamp.

A spacious room, eapecially for a solo traveller. It had 2 twin beds which can be pushed together. A fridge, coffee pot ad utensils. As well as a comfortable seat and tv.

It's not too far from the station and definitely walkable. The apartment uses a key code and there is no reception or anything. Just type in the code and youre into the building, your floor and apartment.

Perfect for solo travellers or even as a couple. And affordable too.

The check in was a SHAMBLES - We had to get police

The check in was an absolute SHAMBLES and would not recommend this accommodation to anyone. We did not receive an access code by text or email from the owner. We flew and arrived in Helsinki after 10 pm. We had to go and ask a policewoman to help us we were that desperate as we had no wifi and no data and we cannot speak Finnish. This policewoman was so kind and sorted it out for us and called the owner and upload our passports to her and got the access code was was on the phone to the owner for over 30 minutes but we thought we were going to be left overnight on the streets! THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN GO ANY OF THEIR GUESTS!!! WE WILL NEVER BE BOOKING WITH HOTELS.COM AGAIN IF AN ACCOMMODATION HAS NO RECEPTION AS THIS WAS A DISGUSTING WAY TO TREAT US!

Price is good, but not the service isn’t.

The body wash dispenser was broken when we just checked in the room 704. We sent a message to online chat customer service and received ZERO response from them. We don’t think it is convenient to call them especially as tourists from other countries. The bed mattress was not clean enough. Much hair under the the bed mattress. There is some dust near the heater switches under the windows in the room. Besides, the WiFi speed is ridiculously slow. I could not even browse Facebook newsfeed smoothly just like Wifi service on the plane for texting message only. The price is quite fair to have this kind of service indeed.

Everything was automated. We never had to deal with a person. I liked using a code and not having to dig a key out of my purse all the time. There was a number to call if we had any trouble, but the only trouble we had was getting on the wifi, and a sign at the desk explained how to fix it. The room had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable.

Happy with stay, could be cleaner.

Location was perfect, facilities more than many other apartments. Capsule coffee was a nice surprise for the quick morning. Furniture and decorations quite nice and cozy.

Despite the central location, very quiet and nice part of the downtown.

Room was clean in basic places, but it has more room for improvement. Otherwise quite happy with the stay.

24h help desk is always nice to have, just in case, even though I didn’t need.

We were at first a little confused by the comments about the logistics of this hotel. There’s no official receptionist but if you arrive between 10 and 5, there’s someone to greet and assist you, for example with the luggage storage. Everything works with a code (entrance, floor entrance, room). For us everything went well and our apartment was not very big but it was functional and clean. The beds (twin) aren’t the best we’ve slept on (the pillows are very flat) but they were okay. The WiFi was good. No AC.

Central location is the best that can be said

I had a twin room and the beds were only 2'6'' wide - narrow and uncomfortable. The beds are jammed up close to each other, so impossible to move between with ease.It was impossible to open the windows and the room was stuffy. The bathroom is just a nasty cabin but the shower was good. The kitchen facilities in the room were really just a kettle, good coffee maker, microwave and fridge. I did not use the laundry facility. It was a very uncomfortable experience.

We did not like it

The code has never been sent. Although I received instructions by e-mail confirming the right dates for May 1-2, when I contacted their service line after a very lengthy discussion I was informed that my booking was for July 1-2 on their system. There were no apologies at all. The windows are locked shut and there is no proper ventilation which caused sore throats. There is no TV. The required removal of garbage by guests is complicated.

This hotel was very easy to check into despite the lack of a full-time reception. The room was large, and neat. The 2 beds were too close together, but I only needed one of them. I would recommend this hotel for a clean and easy budget stay.

1. Hygiene issue
The bathroom was full of hair from previous guests and the white plastic cup has a very clear red lipstick stain.

2. Noise issue
We were awakened at about 5am for over an hour of people talking loudly and the opening and shut of doors, right before taking a long haul flight in the following evening. CCTV will have evidence. We could not sleep afterwards due to the continuous noise even afterwards. You may claim this is due to the manner of other guests but clearly the rooms are not well noise insulated, and our beds are too close to the hallway.

We have expressed our concerns but we did not receive any reply such as an apology.

Located well.

Overnight holiday trip to Helsinki; walking around the city centre; food, culture, shopping. Hotel was just a short walk away from everything I needed. Bathroom module is a bit clumsy and room temperature was a bit cooler than comfortable. Room isn't fancy, but it's clean and there's enough space and peace (mine had a courtyard window). I didn't use the kitchen utensils nor the fridge, but those would be handy for those travelling with a family or a low budget.

I would like to express my disappointed with staying at the forename aparthotel Helsinki, The wireless internet did not work, which i thought was archaic and made us unable to plan our next day until in a cafe the next morning. We couldn't Skype family in the evening or do multiple things, we don't have phones that work in Finland so couldn't ring the customer service but I fail to see what they could of done. We tried the internet on both our phones and laptops evening and morning, did not work. There was rather a lot of hair on the bed linen, so much so my partner was sure they had not been washed. Hairs also all over the sink and toilet seat. Some furnishings such as the lamp heads and windows had smears of dirt on them.

Nice, clean, cheap and central.

We had a great time at this hotel. Note that this is a so called \"jukebox hotel\" so there's normally no staff around. You get your keycode for your room sent to you at the moment you can check in. Make sure you have access to your email or that your mobile phone is connected to a gsm network so that you'll be able to receive your code. The hotel is located very close to central Helsinki. Our room was clean and the hotel was inexpensive.

A good hotel in the amazing Kaampi district

The hotel is based in Kaampi district of Helsinki, which has an amazing shopping centre. Opposite the hotel entrance there are always cabs parked outside. There is also the Kaampi metro station which is a small walk away (and one stop away from the main central station, from which a coach can return you to the airport for just 5 euros) and a stop for the no. 9 tram which can take you to the port (from which you can then take a 2hr ferry trip to Estonia). The key code entrance is a good system as it is keyless, so there is no risk of being locked out. The staff are friendly when they are present but are not there 24 hrs. The twin room had a fridge, microwave, kettle, iron, cutlery and plates; these are important as the food is quite expensive there. It was a clean and comfortable room and the free wifi is a great advantage.

Lovely location close to everything needed in the city centre. Cleanliness was OK: surfaces, bedding & microwave kettle, crockery & cutlery were all clean. However condom wrapper and gum on the floor by the bed & the details were a little overlooked.
Bear in mind you can't open the windows without a special key from the staff. When I asked how to get the windows open after the room got really hot, the first reply was you can't in this area. But a second email got a response from a great member of staff who provided the key super fast. Can wash your clothes easily, great washing facilities.
Overall for the price it is very good.

Great location, but not much more than that.

Great location but customer service was unhelpful and unfriendly. The rooms are very warm and you cannot control the temperature. Everything is in the room is from IKEA, and is starting to fall apart. The information guide that they provide is not very detailed. I will not stay here on my next visit to Helsinki.

Absolutely Perfect for a Long Weekend Away!

I stayed here for a few days and it was excellent. Exactly what I needed. Well priced, incredibly central, felt really safe, the room had everything I needed. Was the perfect temperature, good shower, good bed, nice blankets. Ultimately, I would much rather stay somewhere like this than a hotel when you're looking for a nice, cheap place to stay where you can have an independent time away.

Only downside was as no one is manning the reception, other people staying at the time were clearly smoking in their rooms which made my room smell. Other than that it was fantastic.

Simple and clean

Needed a base for couple weeks stay in Helsinki. Forenom Pop-up provides bed, bathroom, fridge, micro, coffeemachine, iron, internet and basic kitchenware. No more, no less.

Everything is clean (place is new), bed is comfortable and internet speed is good. Location is near excellent with restaurants and shop nearby.

Negatives: hot water was bit unstable, coffee machine is so cheap design that barely keeps coffee hot.

Occasionally cute receptionist on duty :)

A hotel without a reception desk

There is no hotel reception. They will SMS and also send you an email with the passcode for entering the hotel and your room. This arrangement works fine for me and I didn't find I need to contact the hotel desk during my stay.

The room size is quite spacious with a microwave and water kettle.

The hotel neighbourhood is very quite at night but I didn't feel insecure and it is within walking distance to the town centre.

Room was great, service was virtually non-existent

I would've loved to have checked in early, or at least dropped my bags off until I could check in, but there was no service at the front desk, nor was there a buzzer or phone option to call someone. Yes the number is posted, but I have a North American phone, and could not make a call. Part of that is my issue, but still if you can't make a call and reach staff this may not be the best choice. However, if you can, the room is an excellent value for the money. Location is perfect.

Great place to stay in the City Centre

I've stayed at other locations in Helsinki before, and also used Forenom before, but this is the best combination of location and price! Great central position, just behind Kamppi and Forum shopping centres, a few minutes walk away from everything you could possibly need.

The self-contained rooms come with fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, hairdryer, iron, cutlery, plates & dishes, etc. everything you could want for a short-to-medium length stay. The only thing missing is a TV.

Doors are operated by keycode, and your room number and code are sent to you by SMS/Email just before check-in time on the first day. Very convenient, I would not hesitate in booking this hotel again!

El apartahotel Forenom ofrece una estancia cómoda y bien cuidada, ideal para viajeros que buscan un alojamiento práctico y moderno.
Los huéspedes pueden esperar una buena limpieza, una decoración moderna y agradable, y un entorno en general tranquilo y funcional, adecuado tanto para estancias cortas como medias.
El apartamento está bien equipado y es fácil de utilizar, lo que lo convierte en una opción conveniente tanto para viajes de ocio como de trabajo.
Como aspectos de mejora, la oferta de canales de televisión podría ser más amplia y el sistema de cerraduras con código de las habitaciones debería ser más fiable, ya que en ocasiones presenta fallos.
En conjunto, es una opción de alojamiento sólida y con una experiencia positiva.

Bra läge, enkel inloggning, rent och fint. Matordet var fastskruvat i väggen, vi hade gärna flyttat på bordet när vi åt frukost istället för att sitta bredvid varandra och stirra in i väggen samt att vi saknade en fåtölj, det fanns bara en i rummet och vi var två personer. En persienn var trasig, gick inte att dra upp, men förhoppningsvis blir den lagad.

カンピ駅から近くどこに行くにも便利。スーパーなども周辺に多く困らない。

Super Clean, super Central, very minimalistic but spacious with everything you need, Coffee Machine, dishes incl. dish soap, super friendly and efficient customer Service when wanted to extend my stay! It was the second time I used this Apartment and maybe the fith time with Forenom.

Det förvarades stora rullvagnar permanent med brandfarligt material (lakan och handdukar) i korridoren och trapphuset på mitt våningsplan. Vid ett tillfälle var min hotellrumsdörr delvis blockerad av en sådan vagn när jag skulle ut ur rummet. Det är totalt oacceptabelt.
